Hotel was just ok. Nothing special. Front desk girl was a little off putting not welcoming of what you would expect from someone at a front desk being the first impression as far as attitude or smile or politeness. It was just kinda cold ish. The room was not cleaned the best, but it wasn’t horrible. The AC did not work well. Kept cutting off so the room was very stuffy. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful although the seating is a little crammed for a hotel that size. My 3 stars is just that it was ok.

Our check in person was just lovely! So nice, especially at 1 in the morning. The rooms are large and clean is an understatement.

I have never had to rate a Holiday Inn Express at anything less than 5 stars but that changed. We were in our room and around 11:00 PM the smoke alarm started beeping a shrill beep every 30 seconds due to a low battery. We called the front desk and the gentleman said they would call someone to come fix it. Around midnight I went to the front desk and complained that no one showed up to fix it. He sounded like he had no idea what I was talking about. He was the only person there so he said he would call someone. If no one came he would have to come down to listen to it first. I told him come on down! Needless to say no one ever showed up. It beeped all night long and was still beeping when we checked out at 11 AM. When I told the girl at the front desk about it she apologized and then wrote it down so someone would fix it. He never left any note advising them of an issue. I should have been able to drive the rest of the way home that day but due to exhaustion we had to stop one more time and incurr the cost of spending another night. Who leaves 1 person in charge to manage an entire hotel on a holiday weekend?

We only stay at Holiday Inn Express. #1 Reason: The beds, bedding, and pillows are the BEST, and always super clean. #2 Reason: The staff. Carry checked us in and was very personable. Friendly chat at the desk about my Filipino heritage and his Jamaican heritage and just overall professionalism and warm hospitality.

The hotel overall very clean and all the rooms were very clean and very comfortable beds. All the staff there was very friendly, thank you for your service.

We were already to far to turn around, so I called hotel and asked to ship items and we would pay for shipping. They said they would call me back once they had items. Never received call back.

The property was pretty standard. The check in staff person was not helpful at all. He gave us a room with only one bed although we reserved a room with two beds. He didn’t tell us, so we found out when we entered the room. When I went to talk to him about the problem, he said they didn’t have anymore. I showed him my reservation for two beds and he snapped at me that he knows, they have my reservation! Evidently they didn’t because they gave us the wrong room. My 23 year old 6 foot son kindly offered to sleep on the couch in the room, but the staff person didn’t offer to bring up pillows and bedding for him. Poor, poor, poor service. Classic Seinfeldian dilemma: they know how to TAKE the reservation, they just don’t know how to HOLD the reservation. And that’s the most important part of the reservation! If I were you, I’d reserve at a different hotel where they actually will hold the reservation for you

They fulfilled the minimum requirements of Holiday inn, but the property could definitely use upgrades.

Great location in north Atlanta suburbs. Acworth is a quaint little town with some great eateries. Hotel room was clean and bed was comfortable. Bottom of the bathroom door in our room looked like it had water damage. It would look a lot better if that door was replaced.

Property was conveniently located. It's an older property that has been remodeled. It's more than adequate for overnight stay while traveling. Room was updated and clean. Included breakfast was good. Would recommend staying here.

Wifi did not work in our room. Front desk clerk said it was probably due to our room location. He suggested that we use the business center. Never experienced this issue before, even with less expensive hotels. We should not have to use the business center whenever we want to use wifi just because of our room location. Fortunately we have unlimited data so could still use cell phones but my wife could not use her ipad and i could not use my lap top.

Several weeks ago I Reserved 2 rooms with 2 queen size beds in each room. When we got our keys to the rooms, one was correct with 2 queen size beds.

Carey greeted us when we arrived. He was very pleasant, personable and made us feel welcome . He set the tone for a great experience. He is a great asset to your company!! We had a great experience

It was a convenient location for our Lakepoint tourney. Staff and hotel were good. Breakfast was delicious. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Only negative is the water in the pool at the time we were there needed some treatment so we didn't use it. Overall very happy with the property.

VERY DISAPPOINTING. A/C and fan unit did not work. Staff came to fix it and it worked for one hour then didn't work the rest of the weekend. Then the pool was getting "maintenanced" and wasn't open. The pool water was green and looked like it had been sitting awhile so not sure what was going on. The pool was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel since they're hard to come by. I'm sad to see this since I'm a rewards member. I won't be booking my next stay here. The hotel also has a roomservice menu in the room and advertises onsite food, but guess what? No room service :(

Our check-in experience at Holiday Inn Express Acworth - Kennesaw Northwest by IHG was not pleasant. The gentleman behind the front counter was very rude and unprofessional. The elevator did not work and he told me that I had to carry my luggage to the 3rd floor by upstairs. When I asked to speak to a manager he told me that there was no manager until Monday.

It was in a nice area and the room was well put together.

Family was there for a week for baseball with plans to use the pool daily- the pool was pond scum the whole week

Great rooms did two queens plenty of room. Love having a fridge and microwave. Big tvs. Black out shades. Very accommodating. Super close to lake point ballpark where my son played.

Memorial Day weekend and the pool was green, kids not able to swim. Every staff member we met was nice.

Front desk person on Friday and Saturday evening/night was on point. Was super friendly and offered places to eat and visit. Room was clean but bathroom could use some work. Bathroom door was swollen and would stick very bad. The ceiling in bathroom was cracking with paint flaking. Usually would have asked for another room but hotel was booked up for events.

It is right off the interstate. It is a very nice Holiday Inn express.

Stayed here for business to keep from staying in downtown Atlanta. Property was extremely clean, staff was great, area was safe & quiet, breakfast was fresh & good, king bed was extremely comfortable, & we will definitely stay here again on the next trip to Atlanta.

It was a crazy day and I had never stayed on this property. Tina, the front desk manager greeted me and got to me after finishing with another guest. She was kind, professional, articulate and friendly. I’m totally happy with my room, the bed and placement. Tina made my trip for a funeral turn around in the few minutes that it took her to check me in.

The check-in went very well. We were given a first floor room which was great. The room was huge, clean and very nice!

This was one of the nicest hotels i've stayed in. It was extememy clean, easy on/off from I75, and breakfast was great. The employees were all very helpful and polite.

I booked a room for one night as we were passing through. It was my husband and I and our 2 kids so I made sure to specifically book a room with 2 queen beds. I chose this hotel bc I’ve had good experiences with this line in other cities. When we got up to our room it was a king bed and a very uncomfortable pull out sofa. I called down to the front desk and said I booked a room with 2 queens bc there are 4 of us. They said the sales department overbooked the hotel and they couldn’t move us so we could cancel it or deal with it pretty much. Something was going on in the area so there was no available rooms at other hotels and we were pressed for time so we had to deal with it. I could have paid way less for a more comfortable room as I had more options at the time I booked the hotel. It wasn’t my fault they overbooked the rooms and they should have honored what I selected.

Im not sure the guys name that was working last night March 23rd but he deserves a raise. He never sat down he was constantly cleaning and making sure everything was as it should be. Its hard these days to find a good worker and he was definitely a great employee

The beds were too soft. Lighting was almost non existsmt. TV streaming did not have the band width to handle all the rooms. House keeping did not make the beds and only left one wash cloth. Breakfast was lacking in choices. Will not stay there again

This hotel was only average. It was convenient. When I arrived, there was no one at the desk. The staff member on duty was sitting in the lobby playing games on her phone. I was not greeted at all and she never once smiled. She did not ask me anything - not for my ID, not how many keys, etc. She stared at me until I said I had a reservation. Breakfast was ok, but not up to Holiday Inn's usual standard. Food ran low and was not replenished.

Shower and water pressure was fabulous. Staff was nice. Bed wasn't firm so we slept well. What we didn't like: - My wife and I spent a 5-day stay scooping up and disposing of millipedes in our room, about 15/day. Gross! Nothing stopped them and we had no other choice but to stay in the room. We were in town for an AAU basketball tournament and no other rooms in the area were available. Hotel staff paid lip service to the problem. We were offered the only other available room but a previous guest smoked in it. Yuck! - The doors are old, have large gaps with the doorframe, and stick. My boys had to bang their door hard just to open it. - The breakfast was inedible. Yeccchhh! - Our bathroom fan rattled so loudly, it gave you a headache - TV had frequent glitches in the video. Annoying. - We endured a constant, feint, beeping sound for 3 days until we discovered it was the bed headboard. Unplugged it. - In-room clock didn't work - Very noisy. We were right next to the stairwell and an outdoor exit. We used earplugs to sleep. - Room 101 should be taken out of service and fumigated and repaired. - Overall, just a high-traffic, painted over, old hotel that was "updated" with the IHG room decor. I liked Holiday Inn Express until this stay. I'm likely to be more circumspect in the future.

Once in our room, I had to ask attendant for a different coffee maker as the original would not make coffee. He was very thoughtful about this and when we decided on purchasing a candy bar, he said gratis. The next morning , between 6:30-7:00we were ready to begin our trip home after breakfast but nothing was prepared . We were biding our time enjoying coffee when I noticed a woman carrying what appeared to be grocery bags of groceries walk through lobby & into kitchen area. By now it was 7:30 AM. Yes, we waited until we were fed before checking out & again , no one at desk. This will not affect our future reservations at HIE as we know sometimes, things happen. PS.. a light above the coffeemaker area would be welcomed and trash can by the desk. Thanks again for a great nights sleep.

Booked 2 rooms weeks ahead of my stay and requested adjacent rooms or at least rooms on the same floor. Only one of the room was ready when we arrived. Had to wait about an hour for the second room to be available. Pool was not available either. No toilet paper and bath soap in one of the rooms. However the staff was very helpful and accommodating.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights the housekeeper was so nice. She stayed checking on our room to make sure it was cleaned every day. The hotel has Dove soap, lotion, and body wash available to use in the bathroom. We will definitely stay here again in Acworth, GA. Free complimentary breakfast every morning.

The place felt good to me. It was just what i needed to feel safe and relaxed to rest,and it is in a good location to meet ones needs overall.

The desk staff upon arrival and in the morning was phenomenal- personable, kind and helpful. I was frustrated by the equipment in the fitness room- the treadmill, bike and elliptical were all out of order; not one was fully functioning. The first floor ice maker was also out of order and the light on our bathroom mirror did not work. Breakfast was good and the room was clean, but other things were in disrepair.

Mentioned noise issues to front desk clerk upon check out. He shrugged his shoulders and said, "we have people checking in all night." Apparently they are aware of the problem but still sell the room as an upgraded suite. First time staying in a Holiday Inn Express...

I booked my stay online in the parking lot out front the hotel through hotels.com. When I went inside found out that they did not except pets. So I asked for a refund and they said no no keep in mind. This was only a 20 minute timeframe from the time I booked it until I walked inside. And they did not honor a refund. But told me I could kindly pay $150 nonrefundable pet fee. I disputed the transaction with the hotel, and they declined my refund.

Apparently the hotel is doing renovations and as a result half the parking spaces are filled with construction materials. Of the remaining ones, half were filled with folks using trailers and parking longways across 4-5 spaces. We had to park in the4 street in front of the4 hotel. Check in was great and the lady at the front desk was fabulous. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was fine. Until my son went to take a shower - and there was no shower curtain. So we had to go back down to the lobby to request a shower curtain This was 10:30 at night so housekeeping was gone. The front desk lady found us a shower curtain - and to her credit she offered to come put it in for us, but she was busy and we did it ourselves. The next morning, Holiday Inns are supposed to have this nice hot breakfast - but not this one. They were out of everything. No hot anything no eggs, sausage pancakes, etc. No sweet rolls. All they had was some cereal and yogurt. We thought they would restock but no they just said they were out. So we had to go get breakfast somewhere else. Do not stay here unless you confirm the renovations are done and they will have breakfast.

The hotel is going through refurbishments. Which we were aware of. But our room was still in the process of work. The paint on the walls was in the process of being finished, the carpet was pulled up in the corner and on the wall edging, the grout in the bathroom was either in the process of being repaired or just missing and the automatic coffee maker was apart on the table. We were told they just finished the repairs in that room. Not sure what happened but the room was clean. They were sold out and we only need the room to sleep in for one night so no need to complain. Just be aware of the work in progress. The breakfast looked good. We left very early so just grabbed something to go.

The hotel was in need of updates. It needed a dehumidifier as the towels wouldn’t dry. The breakfast could have been better.

Any hotel that has Fox News on while I eat breakfast doesn’t want my business. It couldn’t be clearer.

Our family was staying for two nights and invited my father-in-law to come as well. We purposely paid extra and reserved the “Executive Suite, 2 Bedroom” for that reason. I called ahead the day of our trip to confirm we had the 2 bedroom, however, what we had was 1 room with a King bed and a sofa bed. Apparently, they were counting the sofa area as and extra bedroom??? This was false advertising!!

Surprised at this hotel . Hairs in the bathtub that was ancient . The shower rod stuck out so the commode and door were cramped . Could hear all noises outside and in even with the fan running all the time which causes a stopped up nose. The brkt was lacking the bacon was half cooked . The hotel itself is old . The one great thing was the lady at the desk had my room card ready before I even got there ! Fastest check in ever

We booked the rooms at 9:30 pm, arrived at 11:30 pm. The front desk clerk had our keys ready to go. Just had to sign and initial the forms and were on our way up to our room. 2 minutes tops, which was awesome after driving all day. Rooms were clean. Beds were soft and plush. Loved the set up with mini fridge, microwave and small sink in the sitting area. The only odd thing ( only odd because i had never seen it) was having to pull down on the tub faucet to get the water to come out the shower head. Will definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity. Staff was super friendly and helpful.
