The whole experience was exceptional. The cottage was lovely. The Baretta experience was great. We enjoyed fishing, golf and horseback riding as well. We will absolutely be back.

The only thing I will say is for Expedia users there is a 700$ charge that is added when you get there on top of what you paid to Expedia. I think that Expedia should inform people about that cause 700$ is a lot!

The pace at Barnsley is relaxed but refined and we appreciated that. Staff were everywhere but not intrusive. We loved the fire pits which burn in the morning and evenings. The variety of restaurants and the spa were also appreciated. The only complaint was that the weather wasn't really warm enough for dining at the outdoor Biergarten (we had dinner and breakfast there) despite heaters and a fire place. Nothing Barnsley could control. There are limited "indoor" places to just hang out for a resort of this size so be sure to pack to be comfortable out doors whatever the weather.

The hotel needs a serious make over….at minimum they need to replace all carpets and clean all furniture in the rooms. The smell of allergens was too much. The lighting when you exit the elevator onto a floor was inconsistent to say the least. The hotel could be amazing with some TLC
- 4/5
Mostly a great experience. Room needs attention, curtains coming off rod shower made a small pool in the floor and maid service was slipshod but staff was very friendly.
- 3/5
Rooms were quite small. 2 restsurants, both had limited, very expensive choices. It was rainy and cold and there was no where to gather inside. There were meeting rooms available but we couldn't use them without paying an additional fee.

Every detail of service at The Barnsley was absolutely top notch. We were so very pleased with our stay and look forward to visiting there again.

Thank you, Terra for being a great first contact! Not only did you give us great suggestions, you remembered my name when I stopped by 6 hours later. Thank you Jason, for getting our fire pit going on Saturday night! Even though you were busy, with a wedding on the property, you took the time to visit and help us get our fire going and made sure we were taken care of. Barnsley Gardens was the best!

So many activities! Axe throwing, archery, horseback riding, fishing, bicycling, and on and on. So many wonderful spots to sit and enjoy each other! Fire pits, beer gardens, meditation areas…it is stunning. We loved it.

Beautiful resort! We went during the week during the holidays, so the food variety wasn't great.
- 5/5
Absolutely fantastic. We stayed in the Inn and it was awesome. Room service was available and punctual, the restaurants were great, the room was large and clean. Really couldn’t have been a better experience.
- 5/5
Wonderful experience always! This was our fourth trip to Barnsley. Please please please re-open the beer garden during the week and have more opportunity to eat. Only downside to this place is essentially you’re eating at one restaurant breakfast, lunch and dinner during the weekdays. It used to not be that way years ago. Also, it would be nice to have a the bourbon tasting machine in the lobby at all times since it is so unique and to also have bourbon tastings every night. Thank you.

Excellent. What an amazing place!

Lots of outdoor activities as an option.

Gorgeous place with history.

What a beautiful place! We loved the cottages, the food, and the fire pits. The staff was very professional and helpful.

Beautiful, quiet resort. One of our very favorites places to go. Food is excellent. Service is wonderful. You feel like you're a million miles away when you're at Barnsley.
- 4/5
The rooms were spacious at the Inn and the bed was very comfortable. The food was excellent but seating reservations were difficult for dinner guests. Not very flexible. Should have been told to make reservations way earlier. 5:45 was our only choice on the second night so we sat at the bar until we got hungry and ordered dinner to go and took to our room.

This was our first time at Barnsley. It was beautiful. We weren’t able to get an appt at the spa during our visit. We loved the meals at woodlands grill. Service was spectacular. The bathroom was a little dirty and there were spiders. But the manor house was perfect!
- 2/5
The grounds were beautiful with plenty of amenities, restaurants and activities for small or large gatherings. The cleanliness was great - important especially during current health climate. With that being said, upon check-in I had a disappointing experience with an employee at the front desk. There were also billing issues which revealed a lack of communication within the staff, as well as, communication between the resort and customer. It was resolved after our stay.
- 5/5
Great relaxing family trip. Activities abound for those who want to be on the go, and peaceful sanctuaries are plentiful for those who want to relax and recharge. Wonderful place!
- 5/5
Highly recommend Barnsley Resort. It met or exceeded expectations on every level. The Woodlands Grill offered a great selection and the entree and service were excellent. The resort staff were accommodating and friendly.
- 4/5
We stayed one evening at Barnsley Gardens. I wish we would have stayed at least two nights in order to enjoy the facilities.
- 5/5
The golf course is in great shape (the greens were top notch). I wish the pool was available a bit more - 2 hour windows due to physical distancing policy.
- 5/5
A great quiet getaway for a long weekend. A great place to spend with family and friends away from the difficulties of present day life.
- 3/5
The property was clean and appealing. We loved the grounds and cottages. However, the service at the Woodlands Grill was horrible and below resort standards. We had to complain to the restaurant manager because they served us our dinner before our drinks and appetizers. Our waitress become Sarcastic towards us and it ruined our dining experience . We also had issues with our horseback riding experience. We did not get the full time we paid for and had to ask for a refund. The trail was also boring and covered most of the property roads rather than the surrounding countryside acres. It felt more like a pony ride at a fair. The path should really be reconfigured to appreciate the countryside. Additionally, the steam room at the spa was not working. We spent a great of money for a resort experience and we were disappointed. To be fair the resort did give us a $50 credit on our overall stay and a 10% discount on a future stay. We Will not visit again. A resort should have excellent service in all areas especially if they going to charge a daily resort fee. Barnsley Gardens Is a pretty place to visit but needs to rethink their “resort” services.

I was disappointed in the food. Service was first class, so sad that the eating experiences were not.
- 4/5
Grounds are beautiful. Service is great. Overall very clean and well-kept except the cockroach in my Keurig!
- 5/5
Is a great resort and the staff was outstanding in every regard. The cottage we stayed in was a little dated, but everything was in working order.
- 5/5
Beautiful property with so much to offer families and couples or just a relaxing, peaceful getaway. My favorite place to visit!
- 5/5
This is a wonderful place!! Will definitely be back!

Barnsley is spread over several acres and is lovely. Pretty, well-maintained buildings and grounds, a beautiful golf course, nice pool area, and 3 restaurants. One may stay in the Inn or in manor building. Our room in a manor building was very attractive and clean with hardwood floors, brick fireplace, sitting area & great bathroom. We ate at 2 of the restaurants - Rice House was delicious with incredible locally sourced meat and phenomenal produce cooked beautifully. The grill restaurant by the golf course was also great. All the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful - great service. We had awonderful fabulous stay and will be back. Also, the ruins of the original Barnsley home and surrounding reclaimed gardens dating back to 1841 are .
- 5/5
Wonderful stay at a beautiful location. Staff was excellent, helpful and very attentive.
- 4/5
Food choices limited as only the Grill was open when we were there, the menu was the same every day and there was not much variety.
- 5/5
The Inn and grounds were inviting and very comfortable. Happy to have such an upscale property in Bartow Co!
- 5/5
Had a wonderful stay, loved that resort is pet friendly. Friendly staff

Beautiful property, cottages and rooms! My family and I have been staying here for years. Our only issue is with the Woodlands Grill restaurant. Menu primarily consists of a la carte steaks, and we always have to return them because the steaks are never cooked properly. This trip unfortunately was no exception. For a high end luxury resort, the food falls short time and time again, and the location is so desolate that you can't really eat off property. Otherwise, great experience!
