    Staff was so friendly, rooms were excellently clean. The only thing small was no coffee machine in the rooms and the AC probably needs maintenance but that’s it. Very quiet!

    Location was fine for our purposes, as we were just passing through and it was directly on our route for an overnight stop. Next time I'd ask for a room on the side of the building away from the adjoining Starbucks drive-through.

    The room was clean and satisfactory for a weekend stay. Storage was limited in the room. There wasn't a typical dresser, for instance. The continental breakfast was also limited. Overall, it wasn't bad for the cost.

    We had to park around the back side of the building, but we arrived after 10 pm. Seemed secure. There was some minor issue with my check - in but we were in the room pretty quickly. Room was nice...modern and clean. The bathroom was in a weird location, and the sink started stopping up immediately, but drained very slowly. The shower never got hot...barely warm enough, but usable. Breakfast was "meh," as my son put it. I got enough to eat, but my son did not partake. The breakfast room attendant seemed sad or in a bad mood.

    Room smelled of smoke and the first night that we were there, all we could smell was marijuana. The sink in the room did not drain. The stopper was in the lock down position and when we removed it, the drain was blocked with a screw in it. The shower curtain kept falling down as well.

    Responsive Staff, polite, efficient. Unable to connect my ROKU to TV. That was personal issue bcz when I travel, I like to connect my remote ROKU for my paid apps. Wasn't a show stopper bcz I could perform a screen connect through my phone. Just needed away to connect to HDMI in back of TV, but wasn't possible bcz of close TV wall connect.

    Very clean, and staff was very helpful. Wanted to watch a football game and it was not on cable. Brought our Fire Stick and TV would not let us hook it up. The remote did not let us add another source than the cable. Even staff brought another remote. Can’t stay here any more. Sad, loved everything else?

    it it & give me my money back. we checked out early because of the problems with the hotel & i was still charged fir a night i wasnt there twice. i prepaid fir 3 nights & paid up front & then after i left i was charged again fir the third night so honestly i am owed 2 refunds but the management keeps saying they cant do anything about that because they aren’t authorized to make adjustments so i just have to live with the overcharge i will never stay at a clairpoimt again & i will tell everyone i know to avoid it because it is not a good place to stay. the pool was unusable fir the kids. it was so small all you do was wave in it there was no swimming. so overpriced, not customer friendly, unhelpful staff, unacceptable accommodations. not worth the money or the hassle

    If you’re looking for pet friendly or working indoor pool, look elsewhere! The description is not accurate on Expedia, they do not allow pets and the pool is currently under construction! The staff made the situation right and we stayed in a freshly renovated room! Very clean! Once the construction is finished this hotel will surely be a 5/5!!! Thanks Lori!

    They were remodeling when I was there and they were the loudest people. I was there for work and wrk nights so sleep during the day. I was there 14 days out of the 14 days I slept 4 days. The remodeling people were loud they were laughing loud, talking loud, just disrespectful for someone trying to sleep. Then had a guest for 4 days staying next to me that kept slamming her door everytime she entered or exited her room. I would yell for her to stop. She played loud music that was heard thru the wall and then smoked weed in her room which could be smelt in my room. So I was not pleased with this hotel and will not be back.

    This hotel is undergoing renovation but should be closed until the work is complete. There is construction material, dust, dirt, bags of garbage, cigarette butts, tools, etc. all over the place. I chose this hotel partially because they have a pool. However, the pool is empty at this time and is used to store construction material. These facts should be specified in their Expedia listing. I feel I got cheated and am owed at least a partial refund since I did not get what was promised. The staff were adequate and the breakfast was below average for this caliber hotel.

    This property was an absolute mess. No parking spaces because of construction trailers, closed pool, closed restrooms, boxes and supplies stacked everywhere, paint dust everywhere, disconnected ice machines, and so on. The room itself was finished and clean, but nothing else about the property was good. Felt like sleeping on a construction site. Please require properties to disclose when they are being remodeled. It’s the ethical thing to do.

    The door on my room didnt latch- the housekeeping manager said she could close it from outside if you slam it and pull up. But it was able to be pushed open by a child. Her comment was we dont have other rooms sorry just latch the security latch at top no one will get you. There was a roach in floor and short curly hair in tub and sink. The pool has not been open for more than 3 years according to staff.

    The customer service was good. The hotel is undergoing renovations and there were supplies neatly stacked around, which is understandable. We were lucky and got one of the newly, updated rooms. The shower is excellent and the A/C was nice and cool. Overall, the hotel is clean. The area around the hotel is sketchy. I didn't feel safe walking out after dark. There was a disturbance in the breakfast area one morning that was alarming. They also ran out of clean towels, but I was able to get what I needed in time. The surrounding rooms were noisy. There was loud activity throughout the night....door slamming, loud voices. The room above us was really loud also. I did not complain, just tried to sleep through it. It is located next to a couple of eating places, right across the road from Walmart and other stores. If I had to stay more than one night, I would have found somewhere else. Nothing against the folks working there, they were great. I just didn't feel safe.

    The morning staff was friendly. Nighttime staff has issues staying focused because she was on FaceTime the entire time you’re talking to her. Breakfast wasn’t anything special but it was free so I wasn’t expecting eggs Benedict. The only hot item provided was waffles. The mattresses felt like you were laying on concrete. That was the worst sleep I’ve had in a long time. The hotel is doing renovations so hopefully they’ll get around to updating the mattresses. We were informed that the pool will be closed until the end of summer.

    Everything was good as always. Reason for 3 stars is because they are in the middle of remodeling all rooms. When i got there i had to wait for a refrigerator to be put in the room and the tub drain was clogged. Everything was fixed. But the tub drain was not fully fixed. Only some draino was put in the drain

    Facility is under renovation however the staff were helpful and courteous. The bathroom has a leak at the shower door connection where caulking is incomplete leading to a mildly flooded floor after showers. Outside of that a good stay. Much less noisy than other lodging in town.

    The room was mostly clean and the staff friendly. But there was a lot of water issues. The toilet took the flushed to actually flush. There was quite a bit of mold and mildew in and around the shower. And the sink in my bathroom was cracked and not attached to the counter and actually falling in.

    It was pretty disgusting to be honest. Smelled like vomit everywhere in the hotel, and the room was gross, stains, streaks, open drain, I wore shoes and checked for bedbugs. It looked like a murder took place and then they only gave it a light cleaning. Easily one of the worst hotels I’ve had the displeasure of staying at.

    The place seemed decent pulling in. Upon checking in it looked like it would be a nice place from the lobby. The room however was a completely different story. Smelled wet and like someone had smoked 5 packs of cigarettes a day in it. The bathroom had new caulk over where they put new caulk over it attempting to make it look nice. The toilet handle was about to fall out. There was burn holes in the covers and the wall had a big dent in it and the chair that was in the room looked like it was from the Norman bates motel with a hole in the arm of it. Everything about the inside of it was far from clean. Luckily had a cooler filled with ice big enough to fit the groceries we bought. On the last night there the fridge when opened in the morning wasn’t working anymore and luckily a few things were still just cold enough to move to the cooler. Will be taking pics next time I book a hotel room for reviews, that’s for sure.

    Then to top it off, my family and I arrived late and was told that they do not allow dogs when clearly in all the websites they do. The receptionist allowed us to stay because the rooms were paid for but did not guarantee that we would be staying the next night. That in itself was stressful in thinking that I would have to find another pet friendly hotel for my family, move, and pay again for rooms.

    DO NOT VISIT HERE. The lobby and check was pleasant. We went to the first room to be created by an overwhelming smoke smell, sticky liquid on the tables and floor, and a dog barking non stop next door. We called for a different room. The second room smelled of mildew. There was mold in the air vent, walls falling down, sink was cracked, and toilet didn’t flush even pee and eve after plunging it. At that point we left and went to another hotel. The best western that we went to said this happens all the time.

    This was a very disappointing hotel. The lady when i checked in said the elevator was down and was treating it like a joke. She also failed to mention that pool was closed.I had a widow makers heart attack in April of this year and having to go up three flights with my luggage was not appreciated. I checked out requested to hear from the owner and surprise surprise no call. i came home yesterday to find out they charge me 83 dollars over what i signed for. Something is off here. My total should have been 276 and some change. I can say on my next trip to Abemarle NC i will be more careful where i stay. Very Disappointed in ther service. Upon check out all they said was I am sorry for the inconvience. Piece of advice if you stay here keepnupn on the billing.

    It was located in a good place, close to restaurants and shopping. They advertised a indoor pool, and that’s the reason I chose this motel, but when we got there it wasn’t open and had been shut down for almost 3 years.

    We've stayed at the Sleep Inn & Suites, Albemarle, NC a few times. We always enjoy our brief stay. And now, a new Starbucks is right next door. Woohoo!

    nice people at the front desk and breakfast .. rooms are cleaned very well but the beds, carpet and bathroom are showing some wear. Breakfast could be a bit better, especially the stale "bagels" ? maybe an English muffin and real butter? Overall very nice place to stay and definitely deserves an 8 out of 10

    It really needs updating. Also should be able to cancel within a reasonable time. I was really disappointed in the fact that had my plans changed I couldn't cancel. I will pay attention to that more. Would not stay there again or recommend.

    The moment I touched the bathroom doorknob, it fell off in my hand. No lock on it, and couldn’t use the knob at all. Paint was peeling like crazy, and there was a whole terrarium of mold under the toilet. The fridge was broken, which I only realized after leaving items in it for long enough that they were ruined. I just had this sense that there was a stale grime about the whole place. But it’s in the heart of town, and the safest option of the lodgings there, so it’s got that going for it. The staff was kind and helpful when needed, too. But the place was really just falling apart and badly needs a tune-up.

    Just okay. Nice lobby, but health grade of 83 so we didnt eat the free breakfast. Pool was closed with fake trees covering the doors. Gym had 3 old bikes and no other equipment. Paint peeling in bathroom. The winning feature is they let me keep my dog there, which wasnt available for miles away from the family i was visiting.

    First room was unmade, second room had blood on the sheets, third room was 1 full bed instead of king bed reserved. Final room was still not king bed as reserved, rather 2 full sized beds. Awful experience. No comps or service/stay adjustment.

    Now the bad- Opened room door and turned on entrance light and it is burned out. Finally found lights in bathroom looked at the thermostat it was set at 60, it is fall and chilly here and the room was literally freezing, we reset temperature and left for a while so it could warm. The nightstand had a dual plug/dual usb port which would have been wonderful had it worked, it didn't so I am moving nightstand crawling around on the floor trying to plug in chargers ect. Speaking of the floor, (carpet) has so many cigarette burns in it that we wore shoes until we were actually in the bed. Then later that night I went to get some ice cream and not even the ice cream machine was working! Indoor pool that is advertised but is no where near open. Obviously we were not satisfied.

    Our bed was extra comfortable. My husband loved his waffle and coffee. Smokers and smoking area by front door was sketchy. Albemarle NC We were on the open floor above the check in area, no way they could not smell the pot smoking from across our hall. Trash was piled up in every trash can in the hallways. Carpets next to be replaced. Couldn't use ice bucket, no liner and it was oily. Pool being closed due to covid. It's an excuse, to not need to maintain. We stayed in a couple of other hotels and they had pool open. Visit here? Most likely not again.

    Place was nasty. Trash left everywhere all up and down the hallways and stairs. Room stunk and was nasty too. Lights above the bed flickered really bad, ac unit was disgusting, stains left on the desk and in the microwave, didn't even bother looking in the bathroom cause I knew the minute I walked in I was going to ask for a refund. Sketchy individuals were hanging out around the property too. The gentleman at the front desk who helped with the refund was very helpful and understanding though. Even said this has been an ongoing issue but his hands are tied with what he can and cannot do. Will not stay here again.

    I liked that it was close by shopping and restaurants. I didn't like that the carpet was dirty and really needs to be cleaned and room service didn't vacuum the room when cleaned

    After about 10 minutes the water got hot. I reported to the front desk. Room 205. I went down stairs for the breakfast and there were no forks. Have ever eaten a waffle with a spoon? I reported to the front desk that they were out of forks. The lady behind the desk said she had a fork in the back office. She then came out and handed me two unwrapped plastic forks and then asked me to place the extra fork in the fork holder in the breakfast area!!!! I don’t even work there, and I was asked to take a plastic fork w/ no plastic on it and place it in the fork holder for the next customer needing a fork!!! Think about that. Do you want another hotel guest handling your food utensils? Breakfast started @ 6:00 am. That was around 6:30 am. When I went to check out around 9:00, there were still no forks. I won’t be going back and seriously doubt I will ever stay at another Sleep Inn.

    The property was in terrible shape. The phone in our room did not work, the smoke detector was smashed, of 9 lightbulbs in the room, 5 were burned out. The indoor pool had a sign saying"pool closed". The pool was dry and moldy with boxes stored in the pool area. The hotel in general needs a deep cleaning and the worn-out furniture should be replaced.

    This is a better than average “cheap hotel”. The good features were the comfortable mattress, quiet A/C, and large living/bath areas. The less than ideal features were the limited lighting, oddball sprayer faucet in the bathroom sink (huge!) and no toilet paper holder. The slightly disgusting features were the bedspread burn holes and carpet stains. Cleanliness was average, but not cringe-worthy. There was an odor when we walked into the room which gave me the impression no one had used it for awhile. Parking was somewhat inconveniently located pretty far from the entrance with no sidewalk, so we were rolling things from the car in the middle of the roadway. The receptionist was super friendly and pleasant, and overall we’d stay again.

    The room initially provided was not even ready at 4:00pm (check-in is at 3:00pm) the key cards stopped working multiple times. The entire place smelled of cigarettes. People above me were stomping around throughout the early hours of the morning both nights so it was difficult to even sleep. Someone tried to get into our room at 10:00am on Sunday and asked through the door what time we were leaving (check-out was at 11:00am) Someone approached my car at 2:00 am one night/morning in the parking lot asking for money and food which was extremely uncomfortable. I was provided an itinerary number and confirmation number and somehow both are not found when I attempted to do this over chat/message the hotel. I did not want to share this as a review but I want a manager or someone to reach out as I am requesting a refund of some sort for this experience. Because as mentioned before, $100/night is absolutely unacceptable.

    I have to say that my room was less expected. There was a big crack on the bathroom sink which was leaking onto the floor. I had to throw towel on the floor to absorb the water so I don't slip and fall. The carpet was dirty and sticky. The room was small and tight. There was no iron in the room. The toilet didn't flush. I had to use the plunger in order to get it to flush, and when it did flush, it was very weak and slow. The room service was nice and lend me an iron from the rim next door. I did tell her about all the problems and she said she was going to let someone know about it. I had late check in and when got there, there no one at the front desk to check me in. I had to wait around for a good 10 minutes and yell out hello several times before someone finely came out from the kitchen to check me in. She did show me to have a late check out since I had a late check in, which I appreciated.

    I was a little skeptical when I parked, seeing open windows into rooms on the ground floor but when I walked in, I was warmly greeted and was impressed by the building's foyer. Check-in was easy and even though it was 5 in the evening, they had hot coffee waiting in the breakfast area. My room was clean, the A/C was cold, and I really appreciated the small detail of having a rubber mat for the tub so I didn't slip. If I'm ever back through this way again, I will definitely stay here.

    They do offer breakfast other than that the rooms smell bad I was in several rooms during my stay the bed skirts are brown but you still can see the dirt leak in the bathroom ceiling

    Simple overnight stay. The hotel is a bit dated and there are permanent residents in the hotel. There were people hanging out at the smoking picnic table out front, but these are the realities of our society today.

    Our first room had a wasp nest on the ceiling and roach in the bathroom. Moved to another room because all hotels in a 2 hour radius was booked. The second room the toilet was not connected to the floor and the shower /tub would not drain. The pool was closed. The site said it had a restaurant but did not. Over all absolutely disgusting place!!

    I booked this hotel because it had a pool. Upon arrival I was told that the pool was closed but it doesn’t say that when you’re looking at the hotel‘s information. Some of the staff members were not dressed properly to be working the front desk. During breakfast hours items would not be there and when you went to the staff to get said items they had to look in order to locate them. The bathroom was not cleaned very well and we had to clean it before using it. The beds were lumpy and very squeaky.

    The hotel reception had a dog behind the counter that barked anytime anyone walked up to the desk. The lobby entry door chime could be heard on the 3rd floor inside of the room. The bed was extremely comfortable. Unfortunately the dog barking and door chime made it impossible to get any sleep. I wouldn't recommend these accommodations for getting a good nights sleep!

    The Sleep Inn and Suites in Albemarle, NC was a horrible experience. It started good until we found that the air and heat didn't work. Spoke with the manager and he tried to tell us that the air would only work with the curtains open. Being that they were fully booked, we decide to check out and go elsewhere. The manager only gave us $20 credit for the ac/heat and did not give us a credit for the 2nd night we didn't stay. On top of that, he charged us for a 3rd night and tried to pass it off as the refund for the 2nd night. They advertised free wifi but they had no wifi. The only wifi we could pick up was from Biscuitville next door. And they closed at 2:00pm so that was that. I will never stay here or recommend anyone else to stay here with that crooked of a manager. Under new management my ass. I will also be reporting this to their corporate office.

    A budget place to stay. The toilet was lose on the floor and the toilet paper holder completely broken. The back door trash can was overflowing with garbage at 5 pm on Friday and still there at 9 am Saturday. The beds and room were clean. At huge checkin there was a huge crew of Hispanic workers checking in with language barrier. She did make them wait and get me processed ahead of them which I appreciated. The breakfasts was simple and standard and clean.

    I was charged a deposit I didn't know about (an extra night charged to my credit card. Staff at the hotel was not knowledgeable at all about why. l understand I will be refunded this "deposit". Very confusing. I will not be staying at this property ever again. Also, won't be using hotels.com either. Very disappointed.

    The breakfast was terrible. There was dog poop all over the floor in the hallway and dirt and mud . Bathroom was nasty had hair and dirt in tub . Sheets on bed and shower curtain stained with blood.

    Staff was really nice. I can’t really complain about any of them. We didn’t have any bad experience with that. Outside of hotel wasn’t really clean. When we got there, there was trash outside everywhere. Door leading into hotel in back was broken. Hotel has an old musty smell to it. Almost a dirty smell. We got to our room and it was just ok. Not the best but not horrible. Bed was ok. Bathroom was old and needed a lot of fixing. Shower curtain was gross. First night, there was ALOT of noise by other guests. Didn’t sleep well. Second night, we woke up in the morning and there was someone sleeping in the hallway. Found out it was a frequent transient. 😳 After they told him to leave, we found him in the stairwell sleeping. Didn’t feel safe at this point. We had 3 nights booked, and it was non refundable. So third night was also not good. Other guests are VERY loud all throughout the night. Didn’t sleep well again. Although the staff was extremely nice, I would not recommend staying here for many reasons.
