It was a nice hotel. Nothing special, but convenient for what we needed.

The floors were unclean with dog pee. Bathrooms had hair and wasn’t clean. Toulet was wobbly. The carpets in the room had throw up stains

The room was very clean and fresh towels were left daily to our room. We stayed 3 days. Only down fall the hotel is under construction and the front desk people would talk about customers and anyone who would pass by could hear the front desk workers.

Scary!!! The hotel had tape across front entrance like a CRIME scene, under renovation. Dirty, stinky, scary. Too gross. We did not stay! Not recommended unless you enjoy scary, STINKY, GROSS!

“Because you checked in and went into the room you can’t be refunded.” -Lady at the Desk Whole property is under renovations, but they were supposed to be done within May. It is now June. Dust, dirt, grime, cracked floors and more await you at this awful location. The door at the elevator in the lobby floor leaks a smell that is similar to leaving your gym clothes rot in a closed bag and letting the smell ferment to the point of mold. Awful place.

Staff were great, lots of work going on that made the lobby tight to move through though. It honestly was much further from metro than expected but that’s ok, parking there was under $5 a day and I enjoyed the train. Breakfast was awesome everyday, staff very attentive keeping it clean and fresh. Would absolutely stay again, price couldn’t be beat for sure. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

Where do I begin this was a terrible experience. We checked in on Monday May 25th and stayed a total of 2-3 hours. The only reason why we stayed that long is because we had to find another room elsewhere. Upon arrival we checked in and headed up to our room. The hallway in our floor did not have a trash can by the elevator so there was trash sitting in a bag on the floor in front of the elevator door, that was our first indication that it would be bad. We proceeded to our room. Immediately we noticed the walls were filthy like someone spit or threw up on them and it was never cleaned. Then there was a Cobb web above one of the beds. The bathroom toilet had what looked like a feces stain on the front of the toilet and the bathtub had brown spots in it. After we found another hotel to go to we came back got our stuff and immediately checked out. We shared with the front desk why we were leaving. The young lady was sweet and pleasant, but while she was checking us out there was a customer with a large pit bull walking from his room to the outside. That sent it over the top for me! The young lady told us that we would get a call from management the next morning, that was a few days ago and I have yet to hear anything! 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel!

Under construction. Our room smelled like Clorox and mold. We were on the 4th floor. Bed was lumpy and so were pillows. Paint peeling off the walls and electrical sockets were not secure and so didn’t work properly. Not enough outlets. Not a lot of room to walk. Ironing board was stained and gross and iron barely worked. I was told it was new construction but they definitely just started construction. However the new construction pictures look like it will be nice. It was pretty horrible. Don’t go until construction is complete. Or at least a remodeled room.

Staff was wonderful and friendly! I'm hoping that the hotel is going through a renovation given the construction work happening downstairs and the temporary lobby. We were on the top floor and the ceiling was popcorn and badly patched in many places, the bottom of the bathroom door was literally rotting off and the room had an old-fashioned wall air conditioning unit that was very loud. The carpet was fraying up against the tile and we stepped on carpet nails or rough tile multiple times. The one great thing about the hotel was the front desk staff, however. They were lovely.

The hotel was undergoing a major renovation that set a disappointing tone from the start. However, there were so many redeeming factors that included a great breakfast with the closest to real good like bacon, excellent location off the I-95, free parking, and walking distance to the metro blue line. In light of these great features, I would recommend a future stay- especially after renovations are completed.

The property is under renovation. The photos of what the new lobby is planned to look like will be beautiful once completed. The current makeshift lobby is small and we were over come by a school group crowding the front desk area upon our arrival, mostly due to rain and no where for them to go. The staff was gracious and ensured our rooms were on a different floor from the 2 school groups staying there. Our room was mostly clean. However, there was a dead bed bug on the carpet. There were no other signs of bugs anywhere that we could see. Breakfast starts at 6am Mon-Fri, but doesn’t open till 7 am on the weekends. For those of us who like to get an early start when traveling, we ended up leaving and had to get breakfast elsewhere Saturday morning. The complimentary breakfast (eggs, bacon, waffles, variety of breads, danishes, cereals, etc) Friday morning was good! I hope the renovations in the lobby are just the beginning for a full renovation of all rooms & breakfast area.

Since I booked this trip I had issues !! When I arrived at hotel I was given room , as I went into room there was a terrible odor of mildew mold and smelled dirty . Front desk changed . New room was ok but phone didnt work. Anything I needed had to go to front desk from 9th floor. Requested room to be cleaned next day twice , house keeping never came . Breakfast was extremely crowded no sitting in dining room only one staff person servicing dining area. Food kept running out . The only positive thing I have to say is staff is hardworking . They are not the friendly but work hard. When my family and I left I can truly say we were relieved . We will never ever visit this property again . It was very old , outdated . Tv in room barely worked . Absolutely do not recommend .

The location is horrible for pedestrians. No sidewalks or crosswalks and on a busy road within a highway interchange island. If you don’t mind driving to nearby places, you’ll be fine. The lobby has been sadly uninspired for years, and now they have begun renovations. So the current under-construction lobby space is confined and tiny. The staff were ok. There used to be a wonderful front desk host, but she wasn’t there on my last visit.

The hotel lobby was under construction, but the registration staff was very accommodating. Fresh coffee is available in the lobby. Full breakfast is served every day. The room was clean.

For the price I paid, I was expecting much better conditions. Unfortunately, the hotel felt very worn down and poorly maintained. It did not match the value I expected, and overall it was a disappointing stay. I would not come back.

The people at breakfast were very kind. The room was clean and the halls. Breakfast was nice. Lots of construction happening in the lobby, the dining room was rather dirty and the chairs were falling apart.

Staff were responsive but we never got a smile out of anyone. The breakfast staff were certainly ready to get everything put away by 9am, so you were out of luck if you showed up at 8:55am - half of the food was gone already. The rooms are showing their age. Our bathroom door was rusty with peeling paint, although everything worked okay. No smart TV, so if you didn't want to watch the limited DirecTV channels, you were out of luck. There were also few electrical outlets in the room which meant we had to take turns charging our devices. We stayed here because our usual hotel was booked, and I expected a similar experience, but it wasn't even close.

On the hotels web site it lists many restaurants that are walkable . There is NOTHING that is within reach . Nothing!! Totally misrepresented. Also entire hotel lobby is under construction. My guest uses an electric scooter and there was no door to enter property , only a revolving door which was very difficult to navigate . Hotel hallways were full of debris and garbage, very dirty . Overall do NOT recommend . Very rude hotel front desk staff as we expressed our concerns

Very basic. Under construction/renovation so lobby is a mess and underwhelming. Room smelled and felt clean- sheets, towels, counters etc. there were a couple large stains on the carpet. Bathroom had dirty/moldy caulking and peeling paint. Beds were comfortable and shower worked well. Right beside I-95 and an exit so even on the parking lot side you hear some loud vehicles. Free parking. Breakfast is basic but free. Waffles(make yourself) were good, but coffee was not good. Powdered eggs and decent sausage patties. The relatively cheap room rate apparently attracts large student groups. Result? We heard talking/laughing etc. from 9pm to 4am, even using our white noise app. Plus, it sounded like people were throwing file cabinets around in the room above us all night. Bottom line, not enough sound insulation. Except for the noise issues- which were terrible- we would have had a good stay for the price. This is a check in right before you go to bed and leave first thing in the AM place. No frills.

I stayed here for one night on a business trip. The price point was excellent. The building is older and in need of repair, though renovations/repairs are currently in progress. The room felt safe and comfortable, and I didn't see any bugs or roaches. The bathroom was small and could use an update - especially the bathtub. Regardless, I would stay here again, especially with the great location and safe vibes. I didn't try breakfast, but I would have if I hadn't been running behind.

The room in general was ok. The sheets has a stain on it, and the shower floor was dirty so we wore sandals in the shower. Otherwise the room was decent and it was good enough for one day. I would not be returning and am upset with the accommodations in total

At 8 a.m., someone tried to enter my room without knocking while I was asleep. Luckily I had the surety latch on, they left, leaving the door propped open. I closed the door and went back to bed, and at 9:30 am they again instructed my rest by knocking on the door. The same thing happened at 10:45, and 11:30 am. I was not happy about being interrupted FOUR times!! Not to mention that their pillow were the worst of the over a thousand hotels I’ve stayed at across the country.

The price was good, and we found out why -the hotel is under major renovation. The breakfast is good and included in the price. We didn't know the hotel is experiencing a major renovation, and it needs it. Currently, there is no real lobby, no place to sit outside the room.

The staff in the kitchen area for exceptionally friendly and nice. The same for the staff outside cleaning and the woman who was at the front during checkout. The breakfast was generous in choice and flavor The manager who was working the front desk was rude disrespectful and inconsiderate to my friend who was in a wheelchair. The front lobby area is under construction and the only way to get in is through a rotating door which doesn't work well for someone in a wheelchair. We advised her that night we would be leaving the next day. She really stated we would need to email 24 hours before leaving. She is the person you email. The pool which they told other members they don't have is on the side of the building full of swamp water the cover on it has been there so long it is growing 3 ft tall weeds. Rats were running around in the back area where this pool was. Well they had a electric ramp for my friend's wheelchair once you get down to the next level the side doors that go outside. There is no ramp to get off the sidewalk to the parking lot. The room smelled of musk and mold. The TV didn't work. The faucet to the sink when you turn it on had a spray that would spray straight at the wall. The shower around the head of the shower had two inch Gap where drywall was exposed and like that that's a source of the smell. The bottom of the TV cabinet or dresser whichever you'd like to call it was water damaged. I would not send anyone to this hotel.

Whitt that being said I will say the staff were nice and helpful an understand that the propert condition was not their fault. Breakfast was included. But their cafeteria area looked like what a Waffle House would be. The plus on this property is that they had clean and comfortable beds. Thankfully we were only for there for 1 night and that’s all we needed.

Had stayed at this hotel about 4 years ago, so chose to stay again. VERY disappointed....really went downhill. To be fair, they are renovating the entrance, but the rooms REALLY need to be refreshed. Carpet felt nasty with many stains, had a bug in the room, bathroom floor dirty, and all common area floors were sticky. Front desk staff was not very friendly.

Going through some renovation as of March 2026 but the room and bathroom were clean, the complimentary breakfast was plentiful and a good start to the day, and the staff were helpful and nice. Parking was easy around the building.

Was unaware that this hotel would be undergoing renovations during our stay. While this would not generally be a huge deciding factor, this hotel however was in a massive state of disrepair. Broken tiles in hallways, rooms, and elevator in addition to obviously painted over and concealed mold in rooms. The carpet in the room was coming up enough that the tack strips were showing. The breakfast was minimal and unchanging for the 6 nights we stayed. This hotel would do well to just close their doors while completing renovations. Very misleading from the pictures online. Would not recommend.

Lobby was under construction which was surprising upon check in. We stayed on the 8th floor and it was so loud (something in the walls or on the roof) which made it hard to sleep. Rooms were clean, but the facility itself was worn down. Spots on the ceilings, paint chipping, floors cracked, etc. The breakfast was decent, but more options could have been offered.

Noisy, rooms backing on to the road, you can hear the noise of vehicles. Breakfast area floor is unclean. I had to call the reception to calm the people staying in my adjacent room as I could hear them screaming late into the night.

The whole place smells like pot except for our room which smelled like pot and Chinese take out leftovers. No blow dryer in room as advertised and never received the one we asked for. Remodeling the front which is also not advertised. It is with in walking distance of the Van Dorn metro if you are the mind to die trying to cross a major highway to get to the sidewalk side and walk back up a big hill on your way back. We ended up having to drive to the station and pay to park. The rooms were semi clean. No housekeeping except every 3rd day or if requested sooner. Definitely not as reviewed or advertised for all the things.

Toilet didn’t work very well but my husband fixed it enough for us to use. All in all it was ok, but upgrades are needed.

First impression was not good. People looked a little sketchy milling around parking lot. The smell of marijuana prominent. Walked in after a 6 hr drive (early- around 12:30 pm), to an obviously under construction lobby. We asked to check in early and was told it would cost an additional $50. Right after someone had just checked in early! (Possible they paid thr additional?) we were pulling a trailer as we were relocating from NJ to Fl and this was the first leg of our trip. We had family picking us up to spend the day with, so couldn’t get back til late. Once we did, the hostess was pleasant and helpful. We went to our room and, although super tiny, was adequate and clean. Linens were frayed some but spotless. Breakfast was adequate and dining area clean. We probably wouldn’t stay there again, more because the area just didn’t feel super safe. But won’t not recommend it either .

I stayed in this hotel twice. The first time was nice and remodeled but it seems that not all floors have the remodel. The sheets had holes in it and the shower was tile and just looked questionable versus the other floor was more decent for the price.

When you walk in there is an odor (not sure what), the carpet and tile are dirty. Trash is overflowing from the garbage can by the elevator. Got if our floor (7th) and full garbage bag against the wall by the elevator, carpet was dirty as well. This was around early evening and you wouldn’t expect it to be that dirty. Wouldn’t recommend anyone staying here.

This property is advertised as non-smoking, but during our stay someone next to us was smoking marijuana regularly, and the smell entered our unit. Additionally, there were frequent late-night arguments and loud noise, especially in the early morning hours, which made it very difficult for my baby to sleep. Unfortunately, this significantly affected our experience.

One negative was that Wifi kicked me off frequently and I had to watch an ad every time to turn it back on, which wasn't a big problem for me but would probably be pretty inconvenient if someone had work to do online. Also, a lot of the hallways reeked of marijuana but I don't think that's the hotel's fault. Overall, incredible quality for an affordable price!

Staff was amazing. We were upgraded because the heat/cooling system of our first room was not working. So kind. The room we got was awesome-a suite! Great for visiting with our son. I chose the hotel because of its proximity to a WMATA station. The walk was AWFUL. Uphill on a rickety wooden bridge. Wish there was a way to indicate that in addition to the distance. If you have a car or want to Uber door to door-would definitely recommend.

Very easy and quick check-in and checkout, the staff at the reception both evening and morning shift very friendly and courteous. Room was super clean with the right amount of amenities in the washroom, and the bed was perfectly set. Availability of a safe was a nice touch from the customer service and care perspective. The staff during the breakfast was very courteous and diligent with the good upkeep of the breakfast items. Would definitely recommend and would like to stay here again.

We had a pleasant experience. Breakfast had a variety of options. However, we went to eat 30 minutes before they closed, and there was no more bacon. It would be nice to restock before you close for the late arrivals. The first day there was bananas for fruit. The second day there was apples and oranges. The building was kept clean, but you can tell it’s dated. The bathroom needs renovation because the tile is falling apart. There is no airport shuttle, but I feel your property would benefit from a shuttle to the metro and airport. Price was very reasonable. Staff were fine. We didn’t encounter anyone friendly, but they got the job done and we’re okay with that!

The room was pretty small but clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The whole place seemed like it needed either repair or updated.

Breakfast was simple, but was very good. No issues with parking. I had to switch rooms twice for the 3 nights that I stayed, first reason being for the air conditioning not working properly in one room and the second room not meeting the mark for cleanliness. Service was great, I worked with both Emily and Basir, I believe were their names, at the front desk and they were both very helpful in the situations of needing to switch rooms, no questions asked.

Even though the room was not ready until 5pm, it was very clean and we appreciated the maid coming and asking us if it was okay. The property itself could use a facelift.

Elliptical was broken. Refrigerator did not work, and after leaving it run for 24 hours, I realized it was not working and had to throw my expensive chicken piccata away. Bashir at check in was so slow I was late to dinner. The man who came in after me who was helped by Latetia was long gone by the time Bashir swiped my cc for the 3rd time. There are no non-dairy options for breakfast. There are no wipes in the gym. The front desk responds when I brought these things to their attention, but they are not proactive and the correction was too late to be convenient for me. I am not responsible for keeping their property updated.

My only complaints are the tv being glitchy often and my iron was broken (leaked water). I had planned on requesting a different one it slipped my mind. We only stayed one night. My son loved the whole stay so we would stay there again.

The tiles in the elevator and paint on the ceiling were cracked. The tub faucet was also not trim with the wall. The shower water pressure was little more than a dribble. The room was honestly so dingy, and the air conditioning made the room so humid that everything felt wet. Never again.

This hotel deftness a renovation. The hook in the back of the bathroom door had been pulled off and there were cracks in the floor in places. The ac unit is incredibly noisy. Some problems were not the hotels fault. There was an accident that occurred overnight when a car flipped off the highway and caused a temporary power failure. One great benefit for us was the free electric charging station which was the main reason we choose this hotel.

The location is kinda hectic considering how hilly it is and somewhat hard to get out of with a whole bunch of cars (guess its to be expected in a city area at least; small inconvenience). Staff was very kind, my daughter called in just in case we had to check in late, but got there on time. Breakfast was great! Food delish and area clean. Only problem we had was that there were ants our room (we were in the third floor for context). It wasnt an huge infestation, but made us raise eyebrows and I'm pretty sure we didnt bring them in with us. We checked in late around 7/8pm, and we were tired from driving around DMV all day visiting family, so we didnt ask for another room. By the time we left the room there were at least 2 ants spotted and i hopefully recorded it so it can be seen. Not asking for refund or anything, but please no more ants.

My family and I were in town for a family reunion. We chose this property because my sister and I stayed here last year and were very pleased. Unfortunately, this was not the case this time. Here’s why. 1. Bed bugs. My grandson switched from his original room to another room because the fridge didn’t work. It was in the second room where he was bitten. The desk clerk switched his room immediately. But because I booked the stay via a third party app, the hotel manager could not offer a refund. Instead, she offered my family items from the “gift shop,” which consisted of chips, soda and cups of instant noodles. 2. For the first two days, the air in the hallway on our floor didn’t work. 3. On Sunday, the water was shut down for five hours for a plumbing issue. They put signs up around the lobby area and in the elevators a couple of days prior. 4. The hotel now only offers room service every two or three days unless you ask for daily cleaning. This meant that we had to ask for fresh towels almost everyday. Needless to say, we won’t be staying here in the future.

In summers - poor AC control in room and no AC supply in the corridor further worsening the room as cool air was loosing into the corridor making stay quite uncomfortable.

The accommodations were extremely comfortable. I do need to point out that there were small ants in the room, primarily on the bathroom counter. I also need to point out and congratulate the honesty and integrity of your staff. Not realizing that we left an expensive piece of jewelry in the room until an hour after our departure; we called and your staff found the item and we were able to retrieve it later that day.

We had two rooms. One was excellent, and the other had a weird smell, the air conditioner was making a rumbling noise, and the door to the bathroom wasn't closing (like it didn't fit). But the mattresses were comfortable to sleep on, and the shower was good and hot!

The flush handle on toilet was broken, tub drain was very slow, curtains on windows couldn't be closed had bright parking lot lights coming into room all night.

Breakfast was not so good: they cooked only scrambled eggs and overcooked bacon. The others things was from supermarket.

We simply requested a refund for our stay at your hotel last night. It was around 3 o'clock am when I noticed that the air conditioning was very loud and I was unable to sleep, and the air was very stinky and disrupting my stay. We decided to leave around 4am due to the poor air quality that was disturbing my throat and head. For the first time in my life, I am seeking a refund. Please understand that you really need to do something about the quality of the air in the rooms! I would appreciate it if you would refund my money as soon as possible.

I was not quite as fond of the fact that the pool was shut down in summer, or that there were no crosswalks in the area, meaning I consistently had to cross a busy highway to go anywhere. I feel that should be a consideration for pedestrian residents.

Overall, a decent stay. It is a very active hotel (with guests coming and going frequently). Was a bit disappointed in the breakfast selection(although the gentleman that runs the kitchen does an amazing job). The same food items were served every morning (waffles, eggs, bacon/sausage, yogurt, pastries, and toast), grateful for a meal, but it did get old after a week. Some repairs should be made (looked a bit run down, you can hear everything outside of your door, bathroom could use some upgrades in the shower, etc.) The shower temperature was amazing, front desk was very helpful and kind. It was annoying that I had to walk to the front desk to get new towels when room service was literally on my floor. (They refused to give towels if they weren't servicing your room). The bed was comfy and clean. Close Proximity to the freeway, fast food locations, and stores.

This property has performed an act of false advertisement. Me and my family chose this location because on the Orbitz site its a swimming pool included in the photographs and while checking in I asked about the pool and was told it's no longer a pool I was highly disappointed because my family and I was looking forward to swimming on the property.

This property lived up to other reviews. It is significantly close to what is expected level of cleanliness and service as a Holiday Inn express or Hampton Inn. Appreciated the staff. Suite was roomy. Some touch up painting would have helped and the closet door was broken, but everything else was good. This is conveniently located by the highway and the EV charger was ideal.
