Homewood Suites by Hilton Atlanta-Alpharetta

This is our preferred property to stay at when we travel to attend shows at the near by amphitheater. All of the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are all updated and very clean, with a full size kitchen. The beds are comfortable and the showers have actual water pressure. The breakfast has a wide variety of choices, but we did notice a smaller difference in hot choice of item on a weekday, which is to be expected in my opinion. Overall it is a great choice in accommodation and I highly recommend!

We loved it! Very clean and new. Having windows that open in the bedroom and private balcony in the living room, full kitchen, and large bathroom makes it feel like home. And then the breakfast wow! We will love to stay there again.

It was clean, friendly staff, and nice rooms. I believe there was a pet in our room before us due to the amount of pet hair we found. This was only a problem due to me being allergic.

I accidentally booked this property and called and tried to cancel and they said they couldn't help me. I was charged for a night that I didn't stay. Very inconvenient as I was coming from out of town

The bed was horrible - one of the worst we have ever slept on. The pillows likewise were terrible. Too soft and too small. I would not go back to this hotel

Loved the check in/out and digital key card features on the app!!! Location was great — close to the highway, gas stations, stores, and restaurants. The whole place was super clean and easy to navigate. With our family of 6, we were so thankful to have found this gem that’ll accommodate all of us! All the nightstands and lamps had plugs and USB ports available. The receptionist staff (Jose) and the kitchen staff were so nice and friendly. We also really appreciated free parking on site. We will no doubt be booking here should we be back in the area! The couch could have been bigger and more comfy for the size of our suite, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker.

The location was great. Kitchen facilities were very good, which was important to us. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly. Nice toiletries. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was disappointing. No variety and the options that were available tasted awful. Carpet in the room though clean was ugly. According to the booking, it was supposed to be two queen beds but we were given full beds. The rooms were a bit small.

We requested someone to fix the tv and no one came, so the tv didn't work the whole stay. There was also weed smells in the parking lot area (today) and lobby when walking in (yesterday).

The location and cleanliness is exactly what I was looking for. The fire alarm was pulled numerous times after midnight and the front desk staff member said it was kids. There are cameras on every floor by the fire alarm pulls and yet NOTHING was done to prevent it from happening after the 1st time. VERY frustrating when you are awakened by false fire alarms in a hotel. And I don't care if it was kids or not there's NO excuse for that action. That's a serious thing to do not to mention the danger one thinks it's in especially on higher level floors of a hotel!!! Of course the front desk clerk was nice and apologetic but that doesn't take away from an awful experience!!! When I'm in the area again I will NOT be staying here again!!!

Went for a concert and was able to walk to the venue. Hotel staff was very friendly and room was clean and all you needed. Free breakfast was very good.

Had to get a large trash bag one night at the desk because the small trash can in kitchen area was full and since no daily room service it was not emptied. Needed to post sign on pool area that pool was closed for the season our granddaughter was very upset she couldn’t swim as it was a very warm day

The location was very good for both restaurants and shopping, also for getting to other nearby areas. The breakfast offerings were OK, but we would have liked more choice of fresh fruit and different types of yoghurt. Also, all the pillows were squishy. Offering at least one firmer pillow would have been welcome.

Our family was visiting Georgia for the first time and we wanted something close to the Ameris Ampitheatre. The hotel was easy to find and was central to all the amenities we could ask for. It was so refreshing after a long day of flights and driving to walk into a spotless and welcoming lobby! Everything smelled so clean. It definitely earns a 5 star rating from this Texas family!

So came up a day early to relax before a concert at the amphitheater- good location but property was not a good value- so construction work inside between 8 am and 6 pm- so a lot on banging-two elevators for the whole facility and only one worked- and it was like a ride at six flags with the tugging and jerking- plus if you on the 6th floor at certain times you just have to walk the stairs down because of the extra slow service- sign says happy hour to 6:30 pm- went past there at 6:10 and it was shut down- should have known that the 15 minute check in (no one else in line) was a sign- no ice machines so you can trot down to front desk and they say "you have a refrigerator"- but only if the ice maker works- and it didn’t? So for the type money they charge- it did not meet expectations at all- disappointed as it was a Hilton property

Staff was super nice & helpful. Room was very clean. But coffee pot did not work and could never get the tv in the living room area to work. Luckily the one in the bedroom did. Walls very then. Everyone talking in the hallways were loud and clear they sounded like they were in the room with us.

The hotel is a little old but it is in good condition and going through a substantial renovation. The room was great, large and the beds were comfortable. The only problem with this stay was the renovation. I don’t hold this against Homewood Suites and certainly not the staff but, the construction was loud and started at promptly 8 am both mornings we were there. It would be impossible to sleep through the noise, not exactly the kind of wake up you want on a vacation. Mix in the time zone difference from where we live and it was like being awoken at 7 am on your vacation with construction going on in the room, it was that loud. We would definitely stay here again but, we will wait until the renovations are complete before we return.

We really enjoyed our mini-vacay at Homewood Suites. Great hotel with a great location (short walk to 4 restaurants!!!) and great staff. We had the pool all to ourselves on Friday afternoon. Rooms and kitchen are very nice and beds are very comfy. We'll definitely return!

It was in a very nice area. Property was a little dated but clean.

We had bugs (carpenter ants maybe) in our room. The pull out sofa didn’t have sheets and was only a mattress cover. They didn’t have luggage carts. Overall cleanliness was appalling. Front desk staff was polite.

Pet friendly and every room has a kitchen. Easy walk to The Cooler Ice Skating Rink. A lot of dining and shopping nearby. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We will be back

Check in was easy, staff friendly. They had nice reception in honor of Thanksgiving we thought was nice. Wasn't able to partake in because it ended at 6:30 and we checked in at 6:09pm. Everything from lobby and outside said this was a clean location, not hardly we get into our room which on the app says 2bed room full kitchen, the carpet filthy from the moment the door opened, no napkin on roll, dried up food on utensils. Water didn't get hot in kitchen sink or bathroom had stop and restart shower before it got hot for a shower. Tub wouldn't drain so naturally it would leave a ring and because of it being the holiday staff wasn't there to come clean. So me being a clean person I had to find a way to clean this tub. The walls of the tub mildewed, Sofa had many spots clearly a place where it is pet friendly and from the looks this location houses a lot of out of town construction workers like an Extended Stay Hotel. We will not return to this location ever again. I say if you're going to allow pets have rooms specifically for them minus carpets or remove all together. Staffing needs to know how to properly clean bathroom and semi kitchen. Don't advertise as full kitchen when it's not.

There’s also some kitchen items but no plates or bowls or cups for hot water. No napkins in the kitchen area as well. Pretty disappointed overall.

Probably one of the most pleasant hotels I’ve stayed in over the last 5 years or so. Comfortable beds (pillows could have been better and more consistent), but thanks to the ceiling fans (which I’ve never seen in a hotel bedroom), I slept just fine. Plenty of parking. Clean lobby and breakfast area. Very spacious suites with kitchens.

It was a nice restful night. It was a good location.

Book my room over a month in advanced to make sure that we had the room we needed - 1 King size bed and 2 queen size beds. When we arrived, we were told that our room was sold to someone else and that the only thing that was available was 2 double beds. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a hotel. We have 5 adults, one of whom is disabled. Because of the change in the time of when our event started, my wife had to deal with the accommodations so that I could get through Atlanta traffic. My wife indicated that the staff, while they did eventually provide a room, blamed overbooking on the problem they had. I am not sure how that could have been the case when I reserved my room over 45 days prior the day we were to arrive to start our vacation. Needless to say, this did not help start our vacation off in a happy way. I would like to speak to management about what can be done. Generally, the hotel is decent depending on where you’ve stayed prior. The outside, room and amenities fits hotel rating. It’s the details that were the downside. Our tub was sprayed with enamel to repair damaged spots and it gave it an unappealing look and feel. The tub and sink wouldn’t drain so I pulled the drain out and they were disgusting—covered in thick, black residue with flaking pieces. Some of the dishes in the dishwasher did not clean properly. In other areas of the hotel you can see the wear. Otherwise the room was as expected. The bed was comfortable and clean.

It's an older hotel, so the rooms smelled a little old. The air conditioning didn't work as well as I hoped. And the utility closet was noisy.

I have a business and when there’s any issues with our customers we always go the extra mile to make them happy. So this is clearly how you not treat your clients, the recepcionist wasn’t willing to go the extra mile and help us. Of course, we didn’t tell him anything, we just paid for it as we were tired of our trip and all we wanted was going to sleep. Definitely this is the first and last time staying at this hotel.

The pool wasn’t open when we got there (I wish they had let us know before hand bc that was a big part of our evening plans with the kids). Silverware and glasses had chips in them, we ended up going to Walmart and buying paper plates/cups and plastic cutlery. I asked for more towels (we are family of 5 and there was only 3 towels) and was told we couldn’t get more than 4 at a time, which makes no sense to me at all, that was a disappointment for sure. Overall, the room did what we needed it to do, just wish it had been a smoother stay!

The cleaning staff does very poor job of cleaning. We were there for 10 days, had to ask for towels multiple times and then they would only bring 1 towel for a 2 double suite. They came in once to clean and only replaced towels and straightened lightly. Didn't vacuum or wipe down the counters. I had to ask that clean the huge brown smudge off the wall next to the kitchen. It was in the middle of the room easy to see and there when we arrived. When asked the second day for towels, the guy working the front desk came up with an attitude to hand the 1 towel. The pool was covered in May, still!!! Furniture on the pool deck is torn and thrown about. No ice machines anywhere. When I asked the cleaning lady she said go to the kitchen. Went to the kitchen and the lady there said hers was broken. I asked how she filled the glass bowls that hold the milk and water in the morning with ice, she then said okay come here. I left very frustrated and told her to keep the ice. Will not stay at this hotel ever again. Owner needs to find new management before this hotel becomes a rat hole.

This hotel has wonderful staffing. It should advertise that there is no room cleaning/straightening each day. I was told that the only cleaning would be after I checked out. The hotel carpeting in the halls was very dirty and not taken care of at all. The room furnishings were also dated and need updating. The dishes were clean but had been left inside the dish washer. There was only one fork, two knives that were rusted as was the can opener. In fact, when I requested silverware and knives and another can opener, the just threw the old and rusted stuff away. The refrigerator was not extraordinarily clean and the ice had been in the freezer for a long time as it was very old smelling and tasting. Once the ice holding tray was emptied and cleaned, it did hold ice. And the ice was good from that point until we left. The hotel is in a beautiful location. However...the staff was fantastic!! All of the staff that I talked with and dealt with were wonderful. All were very friendly, very helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Would I stay here again? Sure. Do I recommend that Hilton give this location a more up to date facelift? Absolutely!!

There was a roach crawling on the wall as we checked in. Very bad first impression. The fact that the desk clerk had a can of bug spray on the desk was not a good sign that this was an isolated incident. Light bulbs were burnt out in several of the lamps.

I liked how the room had doors that I could close to separate the bedroom and living area. The check-in staff helped me me change my reservation so that I could have a room on the west side of the building so that I could get the afternoon sun and be away from the freeway. However, even though there were a lot of available rooms, I was given a room obstructed by the roof of the lobby.

The sofa was very uncomfortable and worn down. Beds were very uncomfortable.

There was mold in my bathroom and they did nothing about it. Poor customer with management didn’t apologize or take ownership.

Saturday night we had an employee knock on the door and advise "we've had several noise complaints and if we get another call you will have to leave" - rude & abrupt. Never mentioned any noise issues prior and to be honest there was noise coming from several rooms. To be told that the next call we would have to leave when we had not been warned before was a bit much. If you had received "several" complaints why are we only being notified of this one?

I like the information from the front desk. The water went from cold to hot and hot to cold.

I will never stay at this hotel again. The walls were so thin we could hear people talking in the next room. The rooms smelled musty. They may have a mold issue. I paid entirely too much for this room. I will not be back.

Breakfast was done by 9am which is bit too early when you are on vacation. Hot water was late to come. Front desk told us to run all the water, bathtub, sink, kitchen sink for 1/2 hour to get hot water! what a waste!
