    The room smells so bad the room was a disaster completely, everything was dirty from the jump. we absolutely hated the stay and do not recommend this hotel. tvs dont work and the wifi didn’t even work from the beginning. One of the maintenance dudes was real cool tho shoutout him

    Run down not as pictured on web site door was broke ac was not working going into error every few hrs they just unplug it for a few seconds then plug it back it didn't have my rooms I paid for 6 weeks in advance had to down size from 2 beds to 1 with no accommodation saying we'll the rooms are more now so they wouldn't compensate me

    Nothing, Booking.com should be ashamed to keep this on their list The entire property smelled heavily of marijuana, and the rear side of the accommodation was particularly unpleasant and poorly maintained. The room itself had a strong vomit-like odor, making it uncomfortable to stay in. I reported these issues to the staff, but no action was taken to address my concerns. The bathroom was in very poor condition as well, matching the overall state of the hotel. Even basic fixtures were problematic—the hot water knob was installed in reverse, adding to the frustration.

    Property consists of two adjacent buildings and appears to be under renovation Can only comment on the back building which is where we stayed. Back building has been recently renovated. Our room had been modernized and came with a microwave & minifridge. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water for showering. Parking was easy and the lot between the two buildings was ample. Distance from any parking space to the building doors was short. The motel staff was friendly and efficient. The location was very convenient to several major highways. There were a number of restaurants within a 5min drive. Two train stations providing service into Chicago were about 15min away. So all things considered the nightly rate was a good value. We would definitely stay there again on a future visit.

    The room wasn't cleaned well, there was a sticky film on furniture. Bathroom tub was very slippery. There was a charge to check in an hour early and the room was already available. Room smelled musty. The ac filters were filthy.

    I had to buy my own sheets/ comforter and pillows to put on the bed as the linen was stained, there was cigarette burns on one of beds. The pillows had pinkish and brown stains on them. The lamp shades were dirty and stained. I booked the room for 4 and only had towels for two, and when asked for towels from front desk was told that they were out of towels at the front and would have to wait until housekeeping came around later in the day to get towels. So we had to share towels so that we could get on with our day as we had activities planned with family for the day. We only stayed as we were not able to secure accommodation else were on short notice and my stay here was non refundable.

    DO NOT STAY HERE!!! LOOK ELSEWHERE. I booked two rooms for my family on our way to Wisconsin and thought its a Red Roof, thats a good place to stay. My son's room had a broken air conditioner. So it was freezing or off. BLOOD on the sheets, questionable goop on the sheets,holes in the walls,stains, black mold and the dead bolt didnt work. My son had to switch rooms. The next room there were cigarette burns on comforter, stains on sheets, the smoke detector was covered by a plastic bag, more mold and it had a weird smell. Needless to say my son and his gf were disgusted and upset about the stay

    Truth be told they were bugs. Bugs of all kinds that hid out and were under paintings, the microwave, and in the bathroom. The main blankets were dirty and had cigarette burn holes in them. The walls are chipped and coming apart and the floor was dirty. The bed was creaky and the carpet that was there was sticky and dirty. It was not a great experience.

    The room was dark, only 1 lamp on one side of the bed. The door security lock was broken. The shower was dark colored with no light in the shower area to see if it was clean or not. The north door to the rear building had a broken lock. It was prevented from locking with a handkerchief. The room door was scraping the floor because the floor was puckered as if there was a flood. There were people hanging out in cars in front of the rear building. It was dark back there and didn’t seem safe. We prepaid for the room but left without staying. We went to a hotel a few blocks away and stayed there instead of Red Roof Inn.

    The hotel was dirty, the bathroom door didn't close or lock, the chairs was taped up and nasty, the room smelled like cigarettes mildew, and like they tried to cover it up with some kind of fresh cent, and I had a non smoking room. There was dryer up fingernails polish on the floor, the mini fridge was dirty, the bed was extremely uncomfortable with a worn out mattress where you could feel the springs in your back. There was menstrual blood on the toilet seat...so that tells me they didn't clean. The only thing I liked about the hotel was the lady who checked me in. What got me is they charge a $50 dosposit just in case you damaged something (:/) I didn't have the energy to complain about my room because I was there for my cousin fenural. My stay was for two nights, I didn't sleep there my second night because the smel and Filth was so bad. I wouldn't even take my clothes out of the bag because I didn't want to smell like that smell at my cousin fenural. I wish I would have took pictures to show people the false advertising they have on line. Oh! I almost forgot got how the lamps had yellow stain on them and the walls was filthy as well. I would not recommend this hotel to any one, as a matter of fact I would tell people if you go to Chicago, avoid the Red Roof Inn on Cicero. I was very unhappy and disappointed with my half of day stay. For the amount of money I paid I was truly upset because I wasted my money on a very unpleasant hotel. 10 thumb down on that place

    The employee walk up on me standing behind trying to intimidate me and I did not receive my $50 deposit back AND they try to blame you at Hotels.com for it! I defended you because I didn’t pay online I paid upon arrival and checkin. I want my money back they were rude and argumentative and Res Roof customer service was terrible and I recorded them and am filing official police fraud charges on them!!! Will never book again!!

    This stay was so horrible! The service was horrible everything was horrible. I spent a good amount of money on this place and when you go in the website it’s not nothing like they say. They do not have any amenities at all. The place is pet friendly yes, but the pets are supposed to be free they tried to double charge me. The vending machines don’t work meaning the ice machine the snack machine and soda machine. The room service lady is rude she was yelling at me I had to yell back at her. The hotel is owned by a family and they live on the property, and everything you do they watch you. The husband opened his door and watched me walk my dogs and come back to my room with his door crack allowing me to see his eyes from the crack of the door. Their sons work at the desk and they are rude. They don’t respect women at all so make sure you have a male with you to get what you need done. I had to get my husband to get towels for me that I requested at 9:30am he didn’t get them until noon. The wife is the lady who cleans the rooms up she has no respect for other people things as she was cleaning out a room where some one left to go to work you can see their things in their room they had the door open for like 50 min.

    First room(I refused to stay there and forced the manager/receptionist to come as they argued I was making up the following issues) I was given had pink slime in the sink in the main area. The bathroom was covered in black mold which can not be healthy. The sheets were stained and had what I can only hope and assume was orange cheeto finger prints. The proprty is next to a large tractor truck unloading and loading area so dont plan on getting much rest. If the trucks dont keep you awake the chirping fire alarm in the hallways will. The entire property is in a state of disrepair. Spend the extra 10-20 ans stay somwhere else.

    The room had a weird smell I could not get rid of. The refrigerator did not work, and even though my reservation had 3 people they kept giving me towels for 2 people and when I would ask for more I was told I had to wait until 9am when housekeeping comes. This was a problem because me and my kids are gone by 6:30 for work and school.

    Upon entering room strong smell of urine coming from bathroom. Room smelled moldy and bathroom floor was damp. I had to close door to keep smell contained. I attempted to go to sleep but had a bug crawling on me. I had enough so I checked out. Still waiting on my $100 deposit I had to leave that is not disclosed when reserving online.

    Horrible experience….. this was the worst place I’ve stayed in my entire life. Please don’t stay here you will regret it I promise you. This place is dirty and the customer service stinks. I found this tissue half used and with bm on the roll when I entered the room. I was afraid to take a shower because it had mold all over. The floors were very slippery so you can’t remove your shoes. Outdated furniture, mold and the smell of sewage in the room. The power went out, there was no hot water or phones for communication. They need to be removed from this site because it’s really scary sleeping here and very dirty.

    No, I understand it’s a red roof Inn so you get what you pay for and stuff like that but my whole stay my AC was broken and I am deathly allergic to the heat and now I am sick. I didn’t even stay the second night like I was going to plan on too because the AC was broken and I had complained about it multiple times and nothing was done. They just came up unplugged the machine and plugged it back in and it kept breaking. I definitely will be going back to Chicago soon, but not staying here. Only thing that was the lady at the front desk was super fun and super cool, but the rest of the staff was not

    This room smells of smoke and dirt,I pray that you guys stop advertising this under your umbrella of places to stay. Upon arrival there was a police presence due to solicitation. Just an horrible situation!

    The front door stop working after my first night there it looked as if it was kicked in and quickly put it back together...the cord to the TV was missing...the bathroom door had a hole in it and it was falling off the door frame...the bed had some type of metal frame so every time I rolled over there was a loud noise...wires haging where I would assume a smoke detector should have been(arent they required for living spaces) I wonder if the fire inspector is aware of this...this room was a crime scene...I was told they could rent it because it was liveable...after the first day I had to use the key to pry the door open to get in...I have things to do in the area and the other places around was booked by the time I was able to try to connect with them..I had to stay...and when was told to contact the front desk to move I redirected to another shift...or another person and so on....when I asked for the manager information I was told by the guy with an attitude he couldn't give me that information...as he acted as if the conditions was my fault...

    I arrived at 7 am and they were able to provide me a room still, so thank you to the team there that was very appreciated. Overall the room did feel a bit unclean but it’s a budget room so it’s understandable.

    Property was filthy.. don't go there.. risk of bedbugs and spiders ... they claim no smoking building.. but it smell like smoke throughout the building and rooms.. Just terrible.. I didn't stay there at all.. and the worst part is I couldn't get my money back.. I'm just going to dispute the charges.. my room safely latch was broken etc.. holes in the sheets etc.

    The inn needs some upkeep. Things were falling off the walls, from shower rod to towel racks. There wasn't a hair blowdryer in our room, the fridge had a half-full water bottle from the previous guest that wasn't cleaned out completely. The air reeks cigarette smoke even though it says it was a non-smoking room.
