Location was central to everywhere I wanted to go. It felt like it was in a quiet, secluded neighborhood, but was literally just minutes away from major travel routes bringing you wherever you needed to go - whether it was Annapolis, the bay areas, or Baltimore and DC. It would have been nice to have on-site conveniences like toiletries, snacks, sandwiches, etc. And a do-not-disturb sign.

Nothing, the coffee in the office was not good. The coffee pot was located in the corner of the office surrounded by paper work and junk. The room was dirty. There was black mold located at the bathroom floor molding. It needed to be cleaned and painted. The lavatory faucet was very cheap, and the handle was ready to fall off, hard to use. The carpet smelled and dirty. There was an odor in the room that bleed into our clothing. Would never go back.

Water main broke so transferred us to a friend’s hotel, Red Roof Inn. Red Roof was cheaper but Village Inn transferred our payment so no desrved refund. Red Roof had no king bed, no breakfast, roach on the wall, slippery tub & my man did slip; broken drawer, toilet seat, too tiny bathroom to close door without squeezing into a corner. No turn overnight maid service for 2nd day’s fresh towels ir trash removal. Went to front desk for towels but no mat or pair of face towels.

I had to make a last minute trip to the area on a holiday weekend. I booked this hotel because rates at most hotels had skyrocketed due to the popularity of the dates. The only advantage to staying here is that it wasn't too far from the downtown/waterfront area. The motel is old, tired and in need of a renovation. My room smelled like stale cigarette smoke and who knows what else. It was bad enough that I purchased air freshener at the store to reduct the odor. There were bugs, both alive and dead, in the bathroom. There were stains on the walls that should have been cleaned. The decor was dated and nothing was new. Trying to talk to the people at the front desk was not worth my time because they didn't seem interested in helping. Obviously, I'll never stay here again and I wouldn't advise anyone else to stay here, either.

The location of this inn was good since I was visiting family and they were only few minutes from the inn. The only reason why this place got a 2 rating was due to how close the location was too family. The room was dirty, there were holes in the wall. The bathroom faucet leaked. There was poop on the side of the toilet. There is no amenities except for a small bar of soap. No blow dryer was provide. The bed was hard and the pillows were hard as rocks. If you check in after hours you habe to check in at an outside window. We were there for 3 days and we of got towels once out of three days. Our room ended up being a smoking room This is not there fault as I booked a smoking room in error however; usually when I check I am asked the type of room to make sure. I only saw one person the whole time that we were. That one person wasn't exactly friendly amd she was slow.

Location was convenient to downtown only 15 minutes drive. Check in was fast and friendly. The response to replace the TV was prompt and the person was congenial. Overall the Inn needs a lot of work one room at a a time. I WOULD BE HARD PRESSED TO STAY THERE AGAIN. There were numerous boxes stacked outside adjacent to rooms making it look like a construction zone. Upon entering there was a musty odor. The walls and trim were missing paint plus gouges in the walls. The shower head was not secured to the wall and the bathroom tiles were not installed completely. The bath soap was horrible. The TV had to be replaced. No coffee in the rooms and no cream or milk at the office where there was coffee. The light for the back of the building id directly centered in the window meaning you could not open the curtain without an intense glare.

Although it was the least expensive motel available in the Annapolis area, it was by far the most expensive and least comfortable of my trip so far. I could hear voices (probably TV) in the next room all night. Everything worked OK, bed was comfortable, etc., but it just seemed old and "shabby." Cabinetry seemed partially dismantled. Outside, there were boxes piled around. There was a phone that I attempted to use to call the front desk, but it wasn't connected. At check in at 9pm, the clerk was walled off and barricaded for security - that made me wonder if the area was dicey or unsafe. No breakfast, just coffee - pass!

It was the closest hotel to Sandy Point Park. Everything! From the check-in office being dirty, cluttered and hot, to not having coffee makers in the rooms (but for some reason there was a microwave?) to having a spotlight outside the window at night so bright we didn't need a nightlight, to dirty furniture, carpets, we stayed for 3 nights and never had the room cleaned or serviced (we did get 3 new towels the first day), there are freight boxes everywhere, the room smelled moldy, etc., etc!

It was foul, so many hazards and disgusting things weren't just in our room, but every other displayed and presented. They wouldn't let us look at the beds of the new rooms after finding pubic hair and bugs in the sheets and a pee stain on the actual mattress. They did a surprise cleaning fee and expected this all to fly. Then when investigating other rooms, they said it wouldn't be fair to housekeeping.

I knew we should have cancelled as soon as we walked into the office. Although the staff were friendly the office reeked of mildew. Then we were informed that there was a $25 a night pet fee that wasn't stated anywhere when we initially booked. The outside of the hotel wasn't bad, all the rooms are on the 1st floor. It was odd though that all the hotel rooms across the lot were piled high with boxes. When we entered the room it again reeked of mildew and was filthy. We initially booked for 3 nights. We ended up leaving after only 2 hours and checking out due to the smell and the uncleanliness of the room. We ended up losing about $400 and just going back home and cancelling our vacation because of the conditions in the hotel room. It literally looked like a crack hotel. Would not recommend at all!!!

Rented a room in the back row next to the entry ramp. The one window in the room had the brightest light outside the window shining in like sunlight at noon. This property has recently been updated, room by room. They clearly are still in the process - evidenced by palates of supplies outside a number of rooms not yet being used. Underpriced.

The room is very basic as expected for a budget hotel. The tv is older so alot of the channels had lines, double pictures, and or snow on them. The only thing that really bothered me was the light outside of the window of our room. I get it is kinda a security thing but it was soooo bright that it lit up the room even with the curtain pulled shut and tucked into the window. I would suggest some type of blinds that would block that lighting out for the guest. Overall, it is a quiet place for a hotel off of rt50 and affordable for a quick stay for a work trip.

Part of why I paid the price for the room.

Their website states there is a continental breakfast, there is not. The rooms were not very clean. One mattress has staining that may have been water but resembled blood, mattress was very old and had a torn mattress cover. There were no fitted sheets, the space under the head of the mattress was filthy on the carpeting with hair, nails and dander. And there were boxes and packages piled outside of the doorways in the rooms. States it’s a hotel, but it is a motel.

Its kind of in an isolated place. Its a little run down & cluttered but it was clean & comfotable. It served our needs. And the AC was great!

Location was convenient but condition of room was disgusting. Furniture torn, worn and black including curtains from age, holes in wall, burns in bedding and blanket. Didn't even stay there it was do bad. Don't know how this meets health standards.

Great for a budget motel. The facility seems to be undergoing major remodeling. My only complaint is that I travel with my dogs and am charged $25 per dog per night. If I had a visitor spend the night the charge would be $15 per night. It seems to me that it should be the other way around.

Pretty basic but clean. Only 2 small bars of soap. No hair dryer or box of Kleenex. Couldn’t tell if it was a storage facility that was converted to a motel or a motel that was being converted to a storage facility.

My stay was fine. The room was clean & spacious. If you were to judge the Village Inn by its outside appearance you would likely expect a much poorer room.

Good value for the money, room was large and very clean, however amenities are limited, to keep expenses low , I was told. Seemed to have ongoing renovations?

The room was very spacious and since we had pets, we were close to the grass(very convenient) The door had gaps so there was a little cold air coming thru but the heater was great so the room was nice and cozy. It looks like some upgrades are going on, so overall I think the money was well spent. It was 8 minutes from where I was going so super convenient.

Truly a 1-Star MOtel. Probably the worst place I've stayed overnight in a long, long time. No secondary door lock inside the room, condom wrapper on the floor, cops called for another guest, noise from the highway, and a musty/damp smell in the room. Avoid this place unless you have NO other options.

Area was a little seedy, there's a gas station and liquor Mart nearby that's seen better days and the clientele there was ... Interesting to say the least. Room was a bit dated, carpet was funky and room had a minor musty smell. Is it Worth saving a few hundred bucks as opposed to staying in Annapolis city? Yes. Is it a better bargain that a neighboring Red Roof Inn or comparable economy hotel that is about $100 more a night? No. Right by the highway so it was really loud as well. Dodgy area at best but there are microwaves and fridges

We reserved and paid for a non-smoking room. Upon arrival told only smoking rooms were available. I grumbled and he magically found one (Room 412) which was horrible. Smelled worse than a smoking room and very dirty. I paid $188 for a horrible experience. Never again!

Great friendly check in. Cleanliness is an A++. The bed was comfortable. The hotel itself could use some remodeling but other than that it was good. No amenities were available, but for the cost in comparison to others in the area, ripping off boat show attendees, this hotel was great.

A car alarm went off for an hour late at night and someone was running outside the door screaming and chasing another person at 11pm. When I called the office they couldn’t hear me because the phone wires were pulled out of the phone. I don’t mind staying in a cheap motel for a night if needed, but I expect to pay cheap motel prices if that’s the case. This was laughable for what they are charging
