It was a beautiful hotel! It was clean, comfortable, and all the staff we talked with were friendly, helpful and professional. The room was wonderful. Comfortable beds and a nice bathroom with a huge walk in shower. It also had a refrigerator, coffe maker, and microwave. The pool looked awesome even though we didn't have a chance to use it. They also have a wonderful complimentary breakfast. N/A

Our stay was only a couple nights but the place seems very nice. Dinning room was good.

Only hotel that I saw in the area, but well worth the price! The owners keep everything shipshape! The pool looked so inviting but we didn’t swim. We walked a lot at historical sites and museums so we didn’t work out but they have a small one that looked very clean! Front desk people were super friendly and helpful… our room/bathroom was clean and bed very comfortable!

This was probably the best hotel I’ve stayed at in years! Clean, comfortable, welcoming staff, courtesy call to see how the room was, great location and reasonable price! If I was ever back to Appomattox I would definitely stay here again!

The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly.

The size of the rooms was comfortable and I liked that it is a smaller hotel Cleanliness was not up to par. And when I brought my acknowledgmemts to the staff nothing was done the following day to remedy the situation and ended up moving rooms. Also the bathroom doors have no latch or lock in the rooms which is just weird. I have never stayed at a place without a lock or latch of some kind on the bathroom door.

The breakfast is great. The rooms are nice sized and the mattress was really comfortable. It's nice to have a recliner in the room!

Beds were comfortbale, we had enough hot water for a shower. The breakfast bar ladies were great, i had an eay race on Saturday and they let me grab a few things, it wasnt open for a other 30 mins. Fro t staff was friendly and overall a nice atmosphere. Just needs some maintenance and better updates.

Breakfast was a typical "to go" meal. Hotel was comfortable and well organized. Location was perfect. Available information was very helpful. All employees were very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Room appeared very clean, but hair (not ours) was left in the shower both days, even after leaving a note for the housekeeper the first day.

Have driven past this property hundreds of times over 30 years and finally stayed here. It by far exceeded my expectations. The hotel was clean, up to date and comfortable. The breakfast included was very good. I will plan to repeat this exercise again as it was quite enjoyable.

The staff was courteous at check in, room was clean, and I was happy to have breakfast available at 6am on a Saturday. However, the bed was very uncomfortable, the highway noise was loud, and there was no easy way to remove the heavy comforter or lower the temperature in the room. I like to sleep at 62 degrees in the winter, it was 66 when I entered the room, and the A/C option only went to 65.

We had a comfortable suite, with the bedroom separated from a sitting area with a TV. The bed was very comfortable, and the heating and cooling system was easy to control. The bathroom and shower were good. The only issue I encountered was weak batteries in the TV remote, such that it would not work from the sofa, but required standing and moving closer to the TV.

Amazing stay. I’m from the area, but now live in another state and stayed while visiting family for the holiday. Accommodations were so clean, room was really large and nice, the hotel is quiet and felt very safe. Appomattox is a pretty safe town overall. Hotel staff was really friendly. Overall great experience.

This place is very nice and I enjoyed it, however, I had a couple issues. The hotel staff when I checked in was amazing. She was super attentive, friendly, and helpful. When I checked out, I was standing right in front of someone that was so absorbed in their phone that they did not see me standing right in front of them waiting to check out or even ask me how my stay was. My room was nice and breakfast was better than I expected it to be. The room was clean. There was someone very loud either next to me or above me. The noise was insane. I was too tired to get up and ask to change rooms but it was horrible. There was constant banging and doors slamming. It didn’t seem like there were that many people staying there, so maybe I could have been in a room spaced out a little further. I went here to recharge after the holidays and left more tired than I came. That part was unfortunate but it is a nice place so I’m still giving it a 4 star rating.

Very nice check in ladies at the front desk. Clean comfortable room, walk in shower. Working ice machines conveniently located, guest laundry with working machines. Air conditioning works fine. Not expensive but costs enough to keep the riff raff away. Good parking area.

This was a very nice hotel in an interesting area. Everything was clean and comfortable. We were able to charge our EV. We visited some Civil War sites before we continued on our journey.

Only issue was whining dog in the room across from us. It lasted a little over an hour and then was quiet.

The staff were friendly. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. We just stopped as a layover on the way to home in Wilmington NC. We would like to come back to Appomattax, Va and stay longer. Best hotel accommodations, nice breakfast.

Great friendly staff. Beautiful lobby and amenities. The room was terrible. It smelled SO BAD. Like a combination of stale cigar smoke and food stuck seeped into the carpets over time. The curtains were torn too. The TV remote was held together by electrical tape. The staff tried to help but spraying some stuff because they had no place else to put us but it didn't help. They tried though.

Love it here. Lots of great history. I mistakenly booked twice. I canceled a booking yet Expedia still charged me $40 service charge. I thought i was dealing directly with property. Its deceptive when 3rd party sites intervene with actual property websites. I was told by front desk they want to get rid of Expedia.

It’s so easy to go with a chain hotel but we took a chance and this place, especially for the cost, was very nice. Clean, easy on/off from highway and even though our room faced that road, we couldn’t hear it in the room.

The owners/staff were very nice and helpful. They promoted the local restaurants, one of which I dined. The hotel was clean, upgraded. Little noisy with room doors slamming (they did not lock quickly like normal doors so patrons slammed them without knowing they would engage in a short time period). Breakfast could have included more fruit and other healthier options. But overall, it was enjoyable.

Conveniently located near the National Park we were able to enjoy the schedule and events! The staff were very welcoming! A nice breakfast bar with a satisfying variety of items. The rooms were very clean, bathroom and shower impeccable. Should we pass this way again, we would make ourselves at home here!

Best place to stay in Appomattox. Convenient food next door in the day. Sheetz 12 minutes away if you need late night food. Staff was great with my late 11pm checkin. Bed and pillows super comfortable. Suites are lovely with pots, pans, utensils, stove, and huge fridge. I just wanted to lay in bed watching tv all day.

The front desk was so kind helping me! I’m in a wheelchair and they made me feel right at home. One employee helped me get breakfast! So sweet recommend to everyone

The rooms were renovated to accomodate wheelchair accessibility. The staff was really nice and friendly. The continental breakfast was good. It is about 5 min down the road from Appomatox NPS site.

We had a good experience. The hotel is only about 8 years old. The staff were all VERY friendly. Any issues, they want to know. The bar was small with limited options. The breakfast was decent with lots of choices. My only “issues” and reason for my 4 stars is that this hotel does have an events area. The night we stayed, there was an event. The noise was calmed by 10 ish, but we could hear room doors slamming until the morning hours. Also, the comforters were stained. I know this happens, but it gave me some kind of ick. All that said, I would consider staying again.

Room was perfect and the morning breakfast excellent. The check in clerk was very nice and made us feel welcomed. Come to find out he was not only the check in clerk, but the bartender and cook. His name is Nathan and we so enjoyed his service. Actually stayed at the bar late that evening and ate dinner. Was planning on going out, but Nathan made it so enjoyable that we stayed. He was efficient, funny and a perfect employee. Pay him well, good employees are hard to find. If in the area again I would not think about staying any where but there.

It was a brif stay lobby gorgeous with small wine/ beer bar and tv’s had.college football on comfort seating … the room was lovely however the only thing i would suggest is more lighting i just had one bedside lamp not hugely bright and the light on ceiling you walk in the room. Breakfast was minimal compared to other places but the coffee was not bad actually tasted like coffee not just colored hot water 😝

Room was nice and clean, breakfast was full of choices and service staff helpful and friendly. Only con, the bathroom door in our room was. Sliding pocket or barn style door and it did not close all the way. Everything else was wonderful.

This was our second stay. We like staying there. The only problem we had was some of the guest in the rooms around us came in very late and talked in the hallway for a while then open and closed the doors many times.

Friendly and efficient check-in, very clean room and bathroom, comfortable beds, good breakfast variety kept well stocked. The only problem we had was that for some reason my phone couldn't log in to the free Wi-Fi, even though my son's phone could.

However, fire alarm went off around 11pm 2nd night we were there and had to wake up family, only for it to be turned off after getting them out of bed. Zero explanation. Zero apologies. Also, many random $50 charges appeared on my card after checkout and upon calling back to get an explanation of them and why they were there, staff was rude and curt and simply exclaimes that it would be "taken care of." However, for price, was a very nice stay and comfortable. Lovely eating area, dining light fare options and breakfast bar in the am.

This Inn restored my hope that there are still hotels out there that are a decent price and run extremely well. It was immaculately clean, well kept up, wonderful attention to detail and a fabulous staff. The staff obviously take pride I. Their work and seem to love their jobs. This is the only time I have ever received a call a half hour or so after we arrive to make sure that our room was ok and see if we needed anything. I would whole heartedly recommend this location to anyone looking for a delightfully refreshing experience.

I’m horrible with names but the front desk clerk on Thursday afternoon, August 29, 2024 was very helpful. She made an excellent recommendation for dinner. She gave us info about the area - helpful because we are moving to the area. Check-in was wonderful.

This hotel exels at customer service, friendly staff, and cleanliness. We have stayed here multiple times and the staff goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome and our stay pleasant. The breakfast staff is very kind and keeps everything well stocked. The only thing I would wish to be different are the beds. They were a little hard for my taste but most of my family slept fine.
