Great location, comfortable mattress, good price. There were water rings on the nightstand—clearly, no one had wiped it down—and a hair clip was lying on the floor, so I’m not sure anyone had vacuumed.

There’s plenty of parking and it’s only 10 minutes from downtown Asheville. The continental breakfast is great, plenty of options to choose from. And the staff are very helpful. Water pressure in the shower wasn’t great. Only one single stall restroom to use on the first floor, the main restrooms are closed.

The breakfast lady was very helpful and she kept asking people if they needed anything.

The room was clean and neat. The shower fixture was very loose and the type should be detachable. The toilet paper hanger is difficult to reach especially inconvenient. Move it to under the counter. The numbers on the inside of the elevator are shabby and need replacing.

There are many things to like about this hotel, it’s clean, quiet and the staff is friendly and professional. The location was great set off a major road/highway a quarter of a mile. The walls are thin, I could hear the couple in the next room, their entire hours long conversation

I would expect way more for a 3-star property. The breakfast was below average and exactly same menu everyday!! Pretty disappointed as we had high expectations with the price they charge.

Josh was awesome at check in and very helpful with informing me of the hockey game score as well as turning the juice machine on for me so I could fill up my water bottle. My only complaint would be that was the only place to get water, but the ice machine worked and the room was very clean and very nice. I'd definitely stay here again next time I travel through Asheville. Thanks Josh and thanks Country Inn!

Nice facility, helpful staff and clean room :) Decent breakfast and close to many chain restaurants and coffee places. HIghly recommend, very affordable - would stay here again!

Room was clean but could hear every word neighbor was saying well into the two nights we stayed didn’t get much sleep. And pool wasn’t open yet but. Good price breakfast last was phenomenal kept everything clean and well stocked she needs a raise .

Whatever cleaner/fragrance being used in the rooms is very very strong!!! Need to take in consideration people with allergies. Throat, eyes burned and could not sleep due to the over powering fragrance smell. Will it stay again.

Location was convenient for our travels and, because we had frequented another Country Inn and Suites in another location and were highly pleased, we thought we'd try this one. We learned that all Country Inn and Suites are not created equal. Room was OK but TV didn't work (staff not overly eager to help with this issue and it was during March Madness games!!!). Breakfast and breakfast area was OK.

I spent a night but prior to booking i read the reviews. I usually start with the poor ratings and consistently the reasons were because of cleanliness. I find most people post a review when things go wrong and honestly so do I which is why i am writing this review but to the contrary. The property was very clean. My sleeping area was clean. The bathroom was clean. The sitting area was clean. Albeit, the furniture is dated but ALL these older hotels have dated furniture. It you want new, well pay the new price but for a budget conscious person, it met my needs.

Room was spacious and clean and each queen bed had 4 pillows, all of different firmness, so we could customize comfort. Room had coffee/tea maker, fridge, microwave. Coffee,ctea, and cocoa available in lobby 24/7.

This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. If you are on a relaxing vacation or a business trip The housekeeping do an amazing job. Never had an do an amazing job. Never had a problem with anything not being clean to my standardsand front desk treat you with the most care and respect! Thank you Claire and Nalli for making each stay feel like home.

Nothing over the top. It used to be a lot nicer. Place is starting to show its age. Have stayed here several times in the past.

We never ate breakfast but the check in was easy, the room layout was fantastic and the bed was comfortable.

Staff was very helpful and room was very clean and spacious.

Appreciated you letting us use the breakfast area for a gathering space in the evening for a team meeting

We have stayed at this particular hotel on several occasions and find it very comfortable with a staff that is friendly and eager to accommodate the guests. On this stay, however, we sensed a difference in the front desk personnel. While they weren't unfriendly, they did not go out of their way to be personable. We felt no warmth or sincerity in their interactions. They seemed to put forth the minimal effort required but no more. For example, we asked the front desk clerk "What time is checkout? The young man looked up from his iphone appearing to be slightly disturbed by our inquiry, and pointed to a sign on the side wall that we had not noticed. The sign announced checkout is at 11 am. I suppose the lesson is that if you have enough signage, you don't need people?!!? When we did check out, our conversation with the desk was terse and perfunctory. There were no pleasantries like, "Have a nice day" or "Come back soon," or "Thank you." We will be back and I'm certain that things will return to the level of customer service that we have come to expect.

The service was not friendly or helpful- we had to holler “hello…anyone here?” to get the front desk guy., Then it’s like the guy had never even heard of Asheville- deer in the headlights and this is where the hotel is located! But for one nights sleep it’s ok.,

When I checked in and got to "my" room, there were people already in the room. They then tried to give me a room that someone else was leaving due to problems with that room. They had no other rooms available.

The room was good but the tub would not drain. It took about 2 hours for the water to go out. I spoke with the desk clerk and he said he would contact maintenance but we never heard back from anyone. We went back down to the desk and he said the maint. people do not work at night and he was sorry.. We had 4 people in the room so only 2 got showers.. I told the clerk at checkout of the issues but all she could do was say she was sorry..I paid over $180 for that so I am not happy with Country Inn and Suites.

Everything was perfect about our stay here from the pleasant, helpful staff to the very clean rooms and delicious breakfast. I would like to have had the option for an indoor jacuzzi and pool is the only thing I missed.

We were visiting family so time in the room was limited. The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included in the cost of the room. There was a hot breakfast offered in addition to cereal and muffins, which we appreciated.

The Hotel itself was great the booking experience was horrible I was charged for 3 nights and was only there 2. A mistake was made and I was booked in 2 hotels the same day and Expedia and hotel would not help me CHANGE not get a refund on the bookings I had. Any one should have seen the booking for 2 rooms same day 2 different addresses no help at all with fixing

No restaurant as I thought was listed in amenities. Though some places are within walking distance, know it is walking on the roadside. Small snacks available for purchase and the free breakfast was great!

Parking was horrible, they ran out of clean towels. The house keeping took dirty towels and didn’t replace new towels and rags. Didn’t dump trash out room or make bed. Will not stay here again.

There was a large mattress in the driveway leading to the hotel. I pointed it out to the staff at the front desk. It’s still there. ?decorative piece?

Nice hotel overall. Average breakfast. Felt relatively safe but as we exited to approach the property we observed 1 beggar with sign and 2 more exiting woods. Checked out after 1 night stay and while leaving property observed Sheriff’s car near woods across the street investigating homeless people bathing in the creek. More of an Asheville problem than the hotel.

Hot water issues with shower. Had to take 2 cold showers. Everything is else decent.

In the bathroom, none of the dispensers were working for shampoo, conditioner or body wash.

Minor downside was the toilet rocked, so it was not set well. Coffee was lukewarm each morning.

When we arrived, the elevator would not work coming down from the 3rd floor…worked going up, just not coming down from that particular floor. We were not told that it wasn’t working when we checked in…but when we asked about it, we were told it was going to be fixed the next day (we had arrived on Sunday). When we got back to the hotel Monday afternoon, the elevator had not been repaired, so I went to the front desk to ask about it. The guy at the desk (not the same guy that checked us in & told us it would be fixed on Monday) knew nothing about the issue with the elevator! He seemed perturbed that no one had informed him. He said he would check into it. They finally got it fixed on Tuesday! In the meantime, we had to use the stairs and my husband was having foot & back issues, making it difficult for him. (Had we known it was going to take 2 days to fix, we would’ve asked to be moved to a different floor where the elevator worked). In addition to that issue, there was a strong cigarette smoke smell on the 3rd floor in the hallway. We reported it, and they came and sprayed air freshener…instead of trying to figure out the source of smoke. I’m thinking the hotel is under different/new management, and it just isn’t the same as it used to be. We won’t be staying there again.

Great room for a road trip stop. Limited options for breakfast. Make sure you check that the door is latched before you leave. If not, Pull very hard in closing direction until you hear it click. Confirm with a push in the opening direction.

We arrived late (almost 10pm) the front desk guy was super friendly and I asked if they had any milk bc I forgot to bring some and he went and got me some out the breakfast room so I’d have some for my toddler. The room was super clean. Nice hotel. Def recommend

The property was nice and clean, the staff was not as friendly as their property a few miles away. My biggest problem was the herd of elephants running loose on the floor above me, it was a terrible nights rest and the laundry area was ok…

HOWEVER I'd 100% stay there again. Convenient, modern rooms, great breakfast.

Unfortunately, there were issues with the water and it wasn't drinkable. No coffee in the morning and no real breakfast. We should receive some refund.

The first room I had, the drain in the shower wasn't working properly. Second room had a burned out light buld in the light on the night stand. Bathroom ceiling had a big patch over the toilet that was never repaired properly. Breakfast was limited to prepackaged food items and waffles due to water restrictions but nothing posted at the front desk when I checked in. No offers of complimentary water to rinse your mouth after brushing my teeth.

Terrible experience, dont waste your money here. The website (both hotels.com and the country inn) didnt state that the hotel was on a boil watch. They shut down the water heater and didnt offer the continental breakfast, all also not stated anywhere until you actually arrive and check-in. The staff didnt do anything with the special request I asked, and even though the hotel was on a boil watch (without anyway to boil the water !!) they still charged for bottled water and didnt offer any free drinkable water ! After talking to the front desk, they said that the manager was alerted and given my number but I havent heard anything back and its been 4 days. I hope I will get atleast SOME of my money back, as this hotel was a HUGE waste of time and money. If only they stated they didnt have clean or hot water, and werent offering their breakfast. The rooms cleanliness looked haft assed, and they only offer housekeeping on the third night. Never coming back, still need to speak with some type of management as this was a disaster.

Ended up staying here, without power or water, for an extra three days because of hurricane Helene. The staff was amazing, helpful, and understanding to issues and concerns we all had.

I was unable to stay at this hotel due to hurricane Helene the day prior to my planned stay. Due to the travel ban of this region our trip had to be cancelled. The hotel would not cancel my charge to my Visa card. Sonoma unable to provide a true rating but leaving this review of there policy to not honor “ acts of God” to allow cancellation of the charge that they could not honor. I have been unsuccessful in reaching the hotel by phone to speak to anyone to cancel / reverse charges!

Bunch of homeless in the area, definitely did not feel safe. Need a security guard to patrol the parking lot and I would've felt completely fine about it.

Beds were hard and not comfortable. Both bathrooms on 1st floor had out of order signs.

There were a lot of construction trucks and trailers and very few parking places. We had a truck and the spaces were so small we barely fit.

We were traveling and just wanted a bed. Good bed.

Fire alarm went off at 4:30am. Staff was not prepared. Fire department was not called for over 15 minutes. No instructions to guests on what to do. People still in their rooms, others standing in their doorways, others gathered in lobby, and still others waiting outside. It was chaotic! Would not recommend staying here.

Area was not as described. Homeless and vagrants all over property. When asking about this we were essentially laughed at. Beds aren’t queen as described in listing they are full. Pretty outdated making areas look dingy. Ultimately felt unsafe and left to stay elsewhere.
