Very clean! The bathroom had an exhaust fan and the shower curtain was without mildew/ mold (most hotels fail with this). Rooms appeared to have been recently renovated. Bed was firm and very comfortable. I would NOT have stayed if you couldn’t accommodate my non-smoking request. Thanks for your accommodation. I was on the second floor. The sound conveys from the floor above. This is due to either heavy footed gait or the well maintained and clean LVP in the hallways. LVP doesn’t mitigate sound as well as carpet.

The property was beautiful, well maintained and clean. My poor review is because of my experience in dealing with staff on a date change. Staff was unreceptive to my request for a date change. I had to call them one day a week for 4 weeks before they honored my request. Additionally they charged me $125/room extra for the date change. I paid double the expense with a lot of hassle. Sheila was very nice but didn’t have the authority to make the change - which required approval from her manager. He was supposed to call me but never did! I’ve never experienced such an inconvenience as I did with this hotel. Their unwillingness to accommodate my date change due to a family emergency caused me much grief. I had no choice but to pay $250 additional expense for 2 rooms otherwise I would have lost all my money. I realize that this was booked as a non-refundable room on booking.com but I wasn’t asking for a cancellation— only a date change! After this experience, I will not book any future travel through booking.com or book this hotel ever again.

Nothing bad, nothing great. Kinda disappointed after the ridiculously positive reviews. For the price I'd try elsewhere. Pros: location off highway, outside Richmond. National brand Cons: parking only good for the first 10 cars after that you're walking. Price a bit steep for what you get, but we don't know the area.

Room was super clean, the check-in co-worker was very efficient and kind, and the area and hotel in general were quiet and comfortable. Was a nice surprise to have a free hot breakfast included. We would absolutely stay here again!

Another couple showed up and left until finally staff person shows and engages me for asking where he was. Very annoying. As he was fumbling with finding the reservation, he asked me if really wanted to stay there. I was incredulous over this and did eventually leave in disgusted, without checking in.

The stay was decent for the most part, only thing I would note is that I told the front desk when checking out that several of the white linens looked stained (bedspread, curtains, and a couple towels) and the woman did get a little defensive because she does the laundry.

Post-checkout, we were charged for several different reasons that were inconsistent when we called management. We got charged ridiculously for apparently missing towels, hangers and apparently damages. None of which occurred. We changed towels at the front desk as their policy is they don't give extra towels- only exchange of dirty to clean. When called management again, they claimed damages were in the room, when asked to describe what damages they could not provide an answer and they put me on hold several times. Several days later, I still have not been explained what damages they're claiming for.

We pulled in off the highway after driving 12 hrs. Got a room within 15 minutes. Everyone was very clean. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The morning breakfast was very good. My only issue is the door to our room was very hard to push open. I let the front desk know.

We enjoyed our stay at the Country Inn and Suites in Ashland VA. This hotel is our go to hotel when visiting our college student at RMC. Thank you for keeping this hotel in such great condition as the suites are very comfortable which is the reason this our preferred stay.

We have stayed here at least 3 times. Good parts was that it’s a nice room for a good price. Nice breakfast also. However, their ice machine has not worked for all the visits covering over a year. Picture quality of TV is not HD and rooms will have an odor when it reaches a certain temperature. Area that the hotel is located is sketchy but not horrible. Nice hotel for the price but we probably will be trying another hotel on the next visit.

Another great stay at this hotel. The host at check in and check out is so friendly and efficient. We jawed about racing and her love of the Carolina Panthers. Extremely clean room, everything worked, cold AC, and plenty of high pressure hot water for a relaxing shower. Hotel is fairly close to I95 but it's very quiet. Breakfast is standard continental fare but the next time NASCAR is back in Richmond I'll be back at this hotel. THANK YOU!

They lost the reservation booking and their website repeatedly failed to bring up the confirmation. Their system got the booking confused with another booking made through them for a week later.

An excellent location, very clean, helpful and attentive front desk. Sheila is amazing, she’s 80 years old, but a very professional and friendly worker.

The hotel is located in a good spot, not too far from restaurants. The room was clean and the staff was nice. The free breakfast was good (waffles, cereal, sausage and eggs, but wished they had oatmeal.)

We had a problem but they refuse to call me to discuss. I tried to deal with it there. The front desk lady was helpful and said that she would have the manager (I believe her name is Jessica) but she did not call me that day. I gave it an additional day but still no call. I called back and got the same front desk lady and she said that she would have Jessica call me. At this time, she still hasn't called. I guess that I need to go up the chain of command.

Have a little issue in the beginning when checking in where upon entering the room there was water on the floor. Immediately told the front desk staff and asked for a room change. The staff told me there was no other rooms and when to check the room. When he returned he asked if we were okay staying in the room without the fridge.

Our stay there was subpar. The listing on Expedia said there was a pool - even had a picture of a pool. Imagine our surprise when we got there and there was no pool. We decided to buy some cards, take the kids down to the dining area and watch the hockey game while eating pizza and playing cards. It's 6:00 PM - we could barely hear the TV and the staff person came over and asked us to turn down the TV so we wouldn't disturb the guests down the hall. The ice machine in the hallway was making more noise than the TV. The final breaking point was when we asked for an extra pillow for our kids to use who were sleeping on the double sleeper and was told there wasn't an extra pillow in the hotel. I paid a lot for this one night in this hotel and couldn't get an extra pillow for my grandkids to use. I will not be staying at this place again. I almost forgot - the floor in our room was very uneven.

We were in town for a volleyball tournament. This hotel was in great proximity to the event. The room was very clean, the staff were very friendly, the amenities were awesome, and the free breakfast was delicious. It had everything we needed. Would we stay at this hotel again? Absolutely! Thank you!

I stayed at this hotel recently and unfortunately had a negative experience with the cleanliness of the room. As soon as I walked in, I started sneezing, which made me suspect the sheets or room weren’t thoroughly cleaned. It really affected my comfort during the stay. I hope management takes cleanliness more seriously in the future, especially for guests with allergies.

Got back to the hotel 20 minutes BEFORE checkout, and locked out of getting back into the room to get personal belongings. Had to ask the maid to let me in and then got hassle. Have never had a hotel rush me out like this. Will not be back. It was clean however.

Friendly staff and cleanliness

They were under a boil advisory just as Richmond was & they did not inform me. I stayed due to the water outage in the city, made comments about it & nothing was mentioned. I brushed me teeth that evening & the next morning & within a few hours had extreme stomach aches that lasted over 24hrs.

The hotel was clean. The property was clean. There isn't a lot around the area. A grocery store and a few restaurants. Our internet did not work when we checked in. The front desk told us to call tech support. My husband was on hold for an hour. After they fixed it, it worked for half an hour and went down again. We gave up after that. They need to upgrade their internet. It is not our job as a paying customer to have to deal with their internet. It takes away from our time on vacation. Will not be back to this hotel. We used this chain before and were very disappointed in this one.

Terrible stay if you want a quiet nights sleep. The room doors slam shut so incredibly hard and loud its like bombs going off. And there are no plug in for charger adapters!! Really...we're in 2025. Guy at desk was nice and lent me his. You'd think the hotel would buy 20 adapters so guests don't have to run to walgreens to buy one...This place obviously does not think thru the guest experience. Mr. Manager, before you reply appolagizing for the inconvenience, why don't you spend that time fixing your doors and ordering new lamps that come with all charging ports.

Property was fine but have never been to a hotel with physical holes in bathroom sink and tub surround. After we unpacked we realized we were entitled a room upgrade . Manager was unaware of this but we weren’t changing rooms at this point
