We have stayed here many times and it's always a good experience.

I’ve been coming to this hotel for about 6 months or so. Staff is great and professional.

We arrived at the hotel to check-in around midnight. There was nobody in the reception and doors were locked. We rang the bell many times and called the hotel phone and no response. It took around half an hour for somebody to come and let us in. It was not a pleasant experience after a long tiring day.

Room was clean but the hallway had an unpleasant smell.

We got in late because of a flat tire, you know life… the guy at the front seat was so nice and got us into our rooms and we had the best night sleep ever, the breakfast was good and hot! The waffle were amazing! 10/10 would recommend, we will be returning , thank you forthe friendly service!

House keeping knocked on the door at 9am, even though check out time wasn't until 11am.

Curtains only went in one direction. So when cracked curtains for morning light, the bright light from apartments lite up room on bed side.

Did t even stay. Pulled up saw the building and area, and pulled right back out of the parking lot. Atmosphere, vibe was way off. Did not have a safe feeling being in the area

It was nice, alittle further North than I had thought. There were these people that seemed not to have a room that were hanging around. They were waiting on a ride or something.

My room was very clean and neatly organized. The AC is fabulous and housekeeping is great. Plenty of towels and modern appliances. Very satisfied.

Chemical smell was really strong it was almost hard to breath we had to open the windows to air it out. Otherwise an easy cheap hotel to sleep at for a night.

Great Value for a 2 Star. Older building, but very clean and kept up well. Was way better than what I expected for the price, would stay here again with no hesitation. I didn’t like the location too much, but it was quiet and the property parking lot was clean and felt safe.

When I have to reach out to the front desk and tell them this is not the room i booked. It's a oversight and unprofessional. I kept the room due to the fact I had just made it to the property at 7 pm after working all day until the evening. I likely won't stay here again. Had the same issue happening at a different hotel a few months back and it was fixed by simply putting me in the correct room without issue, and compensate me half my payment back for the inconvenience.

It is a old property! The elevator did not work properly, front desk never answered the phone call. My room was in the list to get service that day and The housekeeping did not clean my room but she actually accepted my tip that I gave her personally at 11:35 am when I was leaving.

This place was well maintained. The staff was helpful, but rushed through, not very attentive. When I checked out, the receptionist was dismissive. She had no greeting or gratitude. She basically said nothing. I still have them 4.5 stars for the clean comfortable room.

The management runs a tight ship...and thats a good thing. Pleasantly surprised at the low rate, older hotel but very well-maintained. I stayed at 3 different locations in Austin and wished I knew about this hotel before I reserved those other 2 locations. I highly recommend this place for cleanliness and safety.

My room and hallways were clean. Front staff was professional and helpful. Easy parking. This has been our second stay. Keep in mind that this is an older hotel. However, very well maintained. We also feel very safe there.

Worst place to stay, you won’t get any sleep, people always running around, it smells really bad, this place is just disgusting, I wouldn’t recommend never recommend this place to anyone!!!! Just not worth the stay, pay a few more dollars to get a nicer place!

Everything was good. The hotel is very nice. That's a reasonably good breakfast for ther price you pay. we had some nice toasts, waffle mixtures selfserve waffles, and sausage and some really good coffee. The juice selections for Apple and Peach. The room was nicely decorated bed sheets are clean, air conditioning is working kept us nice and cozy all night. Bathroom and the shower is clean and with good water pressure and we liked everything. That's nothing particularly that I don't like but if the hotel can add one or two water bottles in the bedroom that would be a nice addition but someone should not expect a treatment of Hilton in a budget hotel. But I can see these hotels are coming up and putting their game up.

The lady who checked me in announced my room location loudly while other guest were next to me in the lobby, I was traveling alone. The hotel charges your card for room deposit before arriving at the property even if you opt for pay at location. Generally hotel staff is nasty and rude and repeat over and over you’ll get your deposit back as long as there is no damage to the room. As if someone would choose this dump to destroy a room. Would not recommend unless you are extreme need of somewhere to sleep.

The room was quite and the air conditioner wirked great. There was an iron and ironing board available. A hair dryer was available in the bathroom. There were a couple of bars of soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hand lotion.

Peaceful and clean. Rules too rigid. Asked for late checkout. Was only given 30 mins. One hour would have sufficed. Breakfast was okay.

I really loved our stay here! The building is dated but in a wonderful way, unusual and full of character! It's very well maintained and clean! The staff is nice, the cleaning crew did a wonderful job and despite the construction on the road it was pretty easy to get to. The only downsides were no onsite laundry, the room was pretty humid and breakfast ends pretty early on the weekdays. But those were mainly just inconveniences, they didn't really give us a negative impression of the hotel. We would stay here again!

It was absolutely clean and amazing. Is right on highway but also quite at the same time. I stayed 4 nights. The gym is very small but for using the treadmill who has a build in fan it was perfect. If I ever travel or have to stay in Austin, I will definitely come back. Breakfast was also great. Coffee is very light but u bring my instant espresso with me so it wasn’t a problem lol

They came by everyday and restocked (I always have an issue with this at the higher end hotels). -Beds were comfy (minus the bed cover) -New A/C unit Cons: -Room had a smell -Pool closed 2/3 days we were there -Breakfast hours were inconvenient for us so we didn't partake thus adding to our expenses of eating out (6am-8am) -No closet, has a weird built in divider (Note to hotel: This item needs to be restored/Painted or replaced because it makes the room look old along with the carpet. Also the outside of the building looks like hotel transelvania. It desperately needs a painting to something more vibrant. The yellow lights in the hallways make it look tired and old. Maybe also add smell to the main vents. The hotel has alot of potential. It just needs updates. Overall it should have been a little less expensive imo, but all Austin seems to be higher. Im sure the current owners are going to do a great job with transforming the hotel 🙂

Room smelled like smoke and also smelled musty. The sheets felt almost damp , like they had been washed with too much detergent and not dried completely before making the beds. Had a really hard time sleeping in this room. The high rating it had was misleading.

Entire place felt old. Sometimes got a whiff of weird s.ell here and there. Washroom and room was clean enough.

Everything was good except the breakfast. Disappointing.

Don’t stay here. They don’t tell you they’ll take $100 from you for a deposit, but expect that when you check in. Which is crazy because this is the dirtiest, dingiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Not even the nice ones require a $100 It’s also a huge construction zone and if you don’t go 2 mph to pull in, you will miss the entrance. The area is sketchy. Nothing about this hotel is good, I don’t know how they have high reviews and it looks absolutely nothing like the pictures. Never again.

Their staff were helpful, parking was fine, it was clean overall the halls smelled clean, but the room smelled bad, like damp or musty & the small ottoman in the room was stained. they need to do a deep cleaning on their carpets or use better fragance diffusers.

It was a clean cozy room however it was very very outdated and it felt a little bit dark. I would stay again if I had to but not a first choice.

Nice breakfast, large dining area, and the rooms were clean. Did not like the entrance to the hotel, but that is because there was construction, Not the Hotels fault

The staff was knowledgeable and attentive. The parking setup was simple enough. I didn't have any concerns about safety for my family or me. The location was convenient enough, if not a little farther east than I would have liked. A little sticky on the carpet from a melted candy, but the room was relatively clean for the price and location.

It’s close to my concert and the staff who check me in is nice and accommodating. If you’re not for an expensive place check this place cause you’ll get the what you paid for. Breakfast is good and the only small problem is they don’t have laundry bag but they have a bag to give you. Everything works out in my stay and will definitely go back if the venue of my concert will be the same

I really enjoyed the check-in process; it was friendly, quick, and informative. Before entering the room, the hallway leading to it was clean and smelled fresh, however, upon entry, there seemed to be an unattractive odor which might've mitigated following my settling. I did have a guest over and asked if they smelled something unfamiliar and they replied no, so it could have just been me. The south entrance exit key card entry point did not work the nights I stayed, but the ones located on the side of the property worked flawlessly. The breakfast was not that good and rather boring. The bed was pleasant. I appreciated the cable options. The water pressure and temperature were great. I stayed on the first floor. I don't have any complaints except how I wish the breakfast was better.

Stayed here for five nights for a MotoGP weekend. Hotel is clean, staff was very good, breakfast is okay. Location is okay, but there isn’t much that you can walk to, especially during construction on the frontage road (Mar 2026). I’d stay here again if I were visiting the area.

The other was the breakfast whereas none of the pancake mix machines were working properly resulting in several people, including myself throwi g a small portion of mix away and not getti g pancakes.

Room was clean but tv didn’t work properly but overall very minor, generally an average place, great for price and location being middle of everywhere we went on our trip but overall nothing spectacular. Great place for the price paid and a spot to rest your head at night.

Ther breakfast was a good...no bacon but pretty much everything else u could think of...parking was easy... check in was easy ... 100 deposit ...beds need upgrading but rooms were clean... our spout flew off the wall and we couldnt take a shower ... they did offer us another room but we just used it to shower bc we didnt want to move all of our stuff on the last night ...great chinese food place next door ... all in all we probably wont go back ...rough area .. shady people ...and the feel was motel ish ...

I was only there one night. I arrived at 2:00 pm and was told check in was at 3:00 pm and no rooms were ready. I stay at hotels often and understand rules, or should I stay guidelines. I most often check in early if rooms are available. I walked the halls and so no cleaning staff carts on the first floor. After watch many guests enter and ask to chek in only to be told the same as I. Miraculaiously at 3:oo sharps all the rooms became available. I enjoyed my stay but I wont be back. Not because of the hotel itself, but because of the staff blatantly lying to guests because they cant determine when rooms are acctualy avalible.

Centrally located and easy to access off the main highway. Clean and easy.

Overall it was a good experience. Only issue was the bathroom fan never turned off within our stay.

The hotel is very old and the bedroom had a BAD ODOR. It smelled like an old storage room that hasn’t been opened in 20 years. Would not recommend. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and overall the hotel is very dated. The bathroom mirror and amenities were all dirty with water stains.

Was completely surprised at how clean, comfortable and friendly the staff was. Especially for the price we paid. Wi-Fi worked perfectly, their breakfast was slightly better than most hotels I've stayed at and once again the staff was very accommodating. Would definitely stay here next time we visit Austin.

Worst service ever! I booked reservation for 2 nights which I then cancelled right after due to no longer needing the reservation that cost $245 for to entire stay. They still charged my account $245 after the cancellation was made and when speaking to the manager, they tell me per their policy, they charge my account for the $147 for a night since I was a no show. I called and canceled “same day” but they stole my money and was no help at all. Don’t recommend this hotel.

Y'all! This was seriously one of the cleanest hotels that I've ever stayed at!! I was blown away at how clean, organized and fresh every area was. Not a speck of dust anywhere and everything smelt fresh and clean. Room was super comfortable- bathroom was spotless. Great variety at breakfast and food was really good. Would definitely recommend for anyone passing through this area of Austin.

There was bedbugs and I got pictures rashes and they were completely apologetic and rude and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a hotel along with having to pay medical bills they didn’t return my deposit or give me any sort of customer hospitality. It was the most awful experience I’ve ever entered.

Decent hotel for a 2-night stay. Strong smell of cleaning products, but room was clean. Breakfast ended quickly at 9am. With 4 waffle makers, you don't have to wait. Egg and sausage were ok. Coffee was good too. Parking is free, so it's worth the price if you want to stay close to downtown without spending a fortune.

I booked the reservations on line and was greeted by a very nice and friendly lady at the front desk. Our accommodations were very pleasant, very clean rooms and a good breakfast to get us on our way the next day.

Imagine, literally LOCKING the door so people can’t even get a coffe or juice. Fine, put the food away…don’t provide for late comers, but LOCK door???

The construction in front of the hotel was an eye sore but didn’t bother us much. We appreciated the free parking & The room was a little outdated however it was clean, Nice Bathroom/shower, comfortable beds. My bed was a little squeaky but it wasn’t enough to bother me. This was a last minute booking on a small road trip and we hit a great spot. The hotel was extremely clean and well taken care of. The rooms were updated and super clean and comfortable. The price was fantastic as well. The breakfast was a hit with the family we did have to wake up early to make sure we got breakfast as they have limited breakfast hours but it was still great. Great place for a family of 4 just passing through.

Honestly, many people complain about Orangewood, but I speak because of my experience and that of my co-workers, we feel very good, the help and the whole complex is very comfortable, we have never had a bad experience like in other places, the best thing is that at night they have a security and that adds an advantage to the confidence and comfort of resting well, 100% recommended. If you have or there is any problem in the room, you talk and they solve it quickly

The room was clean, except for a dirty tissue on the floor beside the trash can. Other than that, the room was spotless. The desk people were nice. The breakfast was ok….no OH though. The property of hard to get into due to construction. Otherwise I would definitely stay here again. Was close to everything we went there for.

The room was clean and the breakfast was nice. It’s a good value for a weekend trip but not sure if I’d spend a week there again. I was looking forward to using the gym but both treadmills were broken the entire week I stayed. Additionally, there was construction in front of the hotel making getting out of the hotel difficult from 4 - 8pm with traffic.

The noise is horrendous and it's nearly impossible to navigate traffic in the one entry/exit at the hotel. The surrounding area is bad. Felt unsafe. It's OLD and outdated. The room smelled awful like covering up old smoke smell. Breakfast was 2 hours from 6-8 am so we had to set an alarm to get breakfast on our vacation. ROACHES-- multiple times I woke in the night and there were roaches in the bathroom. We finally tried to leave and they refused to refund the one night (out of 5 we endured the stay) after we had enough of the insects. Good: water pressure was great and the service staff were wonderful. If you're looking for a quick stop to just lay your head, then fine. This is NOT a place for vacation.

Clean room, staff was nice. Hotel inside the room hallways are very dim. Hair dryer didn’t work in our room, we let them know at checkout. Debit cards not allowed for the security deposit. Breakfast could have used a couple more options. Road construction was a nightmare in front of the hotel, but for a night or two the stay is worth the price! Would stay again overall if needed.

Best bang for the buck hotel I've found in Austin.

The room was ok and good for the price, but our problem was the dining attendee misinformed my wife about allergy (gluten) contaminate items on the breakfast buffet. The short story is she had a major reaction, passed out at the UT stadium before game time, became violently sick and EMTs had to be summoned at the stadium. We missed the entire game after spending hundreds of dollars on tickets and travel expenses. We informed the hotel and all we got was "sorry". They did confirm it was their fault and addressed the staff but offered no compensation of any kind to us. Not even a future credit.

The rooms were great and the night service was excellent. Our only issue was that they required verification of our service dog and a $100 fee. These 2 actions are illegal. I showed proof of the laws.

I highly recommend this hotel! I stayed for two weeks and everything was great! The staff was very attentive, and the hotel was cleaned daily. You could go to work and come back to find everything spotless. Breakfast is available in the mornings, and best of all, it's very reasonably priced.

We got to Austin late & we're leaving early! We just needed a place to sleep & chose Orangewood based on it's low cost and great reviews. Yes & Amen to all the reviews! The stay was quiet, the room was very clean, the shower hot on demand, and the breakfast available was fine, especially for the room rate! We had no issues that you may otherwise think you'd come across for a hotel with low advertised rates.

Inadequate coffee setup in room. Non functional vending machines. Room decor: microwave right next to TV. I had to rearrange the furniture in order to plug in the iron in the bathroom. Not enough/or convenient power outlets in room.

The infernal highway destruction doesn't help, but once you get inside lobby all is great. Short walk to several good restaurants. The interior was spotless. The room way nice and roomy. Bathroom sparkling. Desk chair not so good but the mattress and bedding is awesome. Quiet and comfy! Breakfast was wanting, but it was hot and plentiful. Staff were helpful, smiling and terrific. All in all a very nice stay. And for the price/location, the best.

Breakfast was missing crispy bacon, but it was good. My room was spacious and clean. The whole property was clean. I couldn’t turn the treadmills on in the fitness center, but the elliptical was great.

Overall decent place to stay if you're staying one night. The construction on the freeway is really bad and the only way out is on the feeder road. Breakfast was not that great eggs were very watery and the breakfast time was inconvenient. It starts at 6 am and ends at 8 am so if you wanted to sleep in you miss out. Parking is a little tough at night. Lots of construction workers staying there. With traffic which is all day it took about 35 minutes to get to downtown Austin and the same back. Room was clean and had a fridge and microwave which was a plus since we missed breakfast the second day to sleep in. Towels and linens very clean. The rooms are very dated though and it gets a little humid. Staff was very nice and easy check in and out. Did not like the 100 dollar security deposit though. It was returned 3 days later but I had already prepaid for the room.

Yes the menu was fresh and clean! I had a solo trip and everything was perfect! The rooms were clean, the staffs were helpful. No issues faced during my two days stay. Happy with it!!

Eggs were watery, no hashbrowns, no oatmeal, and no orange juice.

The TV in our room had a 2" line going down the screen where you could not see anything. The phone in our room did not work came to work on it for never fixed. The elevator was not working correctly. We were on the 3rd floor and when you wanted to go down, you had to keep pushing the button 5-6 times before it would start moving. We made reservations for 4 rooms and one reservation that for a single room was more than the one we booked for 3 rooms. We were in the area doing some work.

Stayed here for the f1 race and it was ok for the price. The location was only 15 min from the airport and 15 min from the shuttle site to get to the race. The hotel needs investment in the rooms , gym , eating area etc. At the end it was ok for a couple of nights for the race.

Hope caneras in parking work in the areas they point. May need more to feel safer.

So I ended up staying at a friends house instead due to me being worried I was being recorded in the bathroom, two tvs not working, and Abby being rude, and me being terrified of being trafficked. NEVER AGAIN! I took several videos for documentation purposes and calling PD

Staff was friendly, the inside of the property was remodeled and extremely clean. Rooms were very comfortable. The value was superior. They could use a new sign on the road, theirs is old and faded. And their coffee at breakfast is kind of weak. I would definitely stay there again without any issues.

Our room was clean, but the bathtub drained very slowly. On the two days we stayed at this hotel, I ran into two weird characters, most likely homeless. One of them stood by an entry door and asked me to open the door for him.

Very clean. The price was inexpensive for our 4 day stay and it included breakfast (eggs,sausage, waffles, pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruit, bagel, English muffin and toast). All staff was friendly and helpful and room was clean and functional. Shower pressure was hard but you couldn’t adjust. A/c was ice cold and bed was comfortable. Ample parking and quiet rooms. Would recommend if you are looking for value, cleanliness and reasonable price.

First the front desk employee gave me an occupied room and after that i had to do three laps to the lobby because they could never get the card to open the room.

Room had trash hidden into the drawers. Stains on the sheets/pillowcases. Hair on the walls in the shower. Check in staff was great. They offer breakfast but unable to take it back to your room, you have to eat in the breakfast area.

My flught was rescheduled so i lost oneday. I was very happy how they were very thoughtful my stay was more pleasureable because of the staff.best sleep the mattress was awesome.

The property was clean, and the check-in agent was pleasant. My only complaint is that my trip was cut short at the last minute. I was told that because I had booked through Expedia, my cancellation could not be refunded. Expedia reached out to the property, and they denied my refund request for one night's stay. Bummed that I had to eat the cost. For that reason, I wouldn't return.

The smell of cleaning solvents was WAY too strong. THat alone keeps me from giving it 5 stars. Need to have someone that's not used to that smell come fix it as people used to it will just keep over doing the cleaning scent.

The really only thing I didn’t like was that breakfast had to be eaten downstairs in the dining area. Completely understand why and not upset about it. :) Was just different. But the staff were EXTREMELY friendly, accommodating, and nice! :) It was in a great spot for my husband and I to visit the Chinese restaurant, and drive maybe 10-15 mins to my work event in Austin. Was cute and a great experience!

It was okay just to spend the night. The $100 deposit is high but it’s understandable because the property is well maintained. I didn’t like the strong humidity smell in the room. What got me upset is that during the check in they told me everything (that I wasn’t going to use) but the breakfast hours, which ends at 8am during weekdays, it is ridiculous in my opinion. So I missed it for 15 minutes, and at the end of the day I ended up spending the same amount of money if I would’ve stayed in a better place.
