Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness, and comfortable rooms. However, there are frequent complaints about outdated facilities, poor breakfast quality, and occasional issues with water supply and temperature control.

- 4.5/5
I didn't have the breakfast due to time constraints. I like that it was available. It is a very convenient location for me.
- 5/5
The property was clean, breakfast was good, room was clean, and staff was helpful!

A nice place to stay
- 5/5
Room was beautiful, breakfast was delicious and the staff was phenomenal
- 0.5/5
There was no shower curtain and lady at the front desk had an attitude and the manager couldn't care less
- 4/5
The place needs to be freshened up in the public areas. The room was fine!
- 5/5
The signage for showing were the hotel is could be better. Very confusing coming off the main road
- 5/5
It was very clean and quiet. I needed an early check-in because of a lacrosse tournament, and they were able to accommodate me. All the staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The signage for showing were the hotel is could be better. Very confusing coming off the main road

This hotel is in an excellent location. However, when we stayed there 3 years ago it was already in need of refreshing, renovating and general updates. It is woefully in need now. Such a great location and friendly helpful staff. If updated this would rate 5 stars. Please consider doing so.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing. I was doing a staycation from my apartment. And it was great. Absolutely nothing
- 5/5
Absolutely nothing
- 4/5
Room decent size, well maintained, breakfast OK. Several areas directly outside the lobby have trash. Parking easy. The hotel is showing its age a bit.
- 4/5
We spent by our fourth visit to Baltimore yesterday. We stayed at this Marriot each visit. We noticed that service this time was lacking. We had a blocked bathroom sink notified the desk at 2:30 PM again at 9:00 PM and received no results upon leaving at 9:00 AM Saturday. This is not typical of a Marriott Delta property. Service should be a priority.
- 5/5
Parking is great. Big rooms! Very good hot breakfast! Did not have time to use the fitness room.
- 4.5/5
Stairs that go to parking garage and not lobby. Breakfast staff made guests wait while they wiped counters.
- 4.5/5
Location. They have an outside restaurant and stores in premier walking distance. Every thing was great

Cross Keys is a wonderful place to stay
- 5/5
As return visitors, we found the Delta to be conveniently located and extremely comfortable. We will return.
- 5/5
Clean room. Beautiful neighborhood
- 4/5
Breakfast was what one would expect. Was so unhappy to see the amount of plastic used. Horrible to think of the amount of plastic these hotels generate. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous. It’s a sentimental favorite. There is much they could do to spruce it up.
- 3.5/5
Location and staff was great. The room had peeling wallpaper. Room outdated
- 3.5/5
The room had peeling wallpaper. Room outdated
- 5/5
Staff at the front desk are friendly.
- 2/5
The Delta hotel is surrounded by new construction and it looks like the owners are trying to squeeze 1 last year out before selling. Everything is in disrepair. Our room had a flooded balcony with rotting wood. They staff seem like everyone they meet is trying to pull some kind of scam. I will not be going back.
- 5/5
Parking has always been covered and free - but that might change, for no particular reason other than more money for the hotel, there is more than ample for the hotel and center. They do host events, particularly on weekends. This is normally not an issue, most of the events are upscale, however for our last stay the stench of cannabis was overwhelming. The staff was appalled by this when informed, but it was an issue.
- 5/5
Driveway in had major potholes and hard to find location.

Customer service was amazing, very courteous staff. Facilities need to be upgraded (carpet, fresh coat of paint, deep cleaning - particularly the corners)
- 3/5
Room could of been a little cleaner or maybe needs a remodel
- 4/5

- 5/5
Staff were friendly, helpful and professional.
- 5/5
The elevator is a little scary
- 5/5
The check-in was seamless. The room was large and comfortable. The workout room was also large and well equipped.
- 5/5
The staff was excellent. The room was awesome nice and roomy plenty of space, room 443 I would stay there again 😀 Just need to update the elevators
- 5/5
Great all the way around
- 5/5

the staff is always so wonderful at this location, sad the bar is no longer open at the hotel
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 3/5
The rooms were clean and staff courteous. Building and elevator very tired and in need og attention..
- 5/5
This property was awesome and I will be back this weekend
- 5/5
This is our second time staying here and will continue to be our go-to place in Baltimore.
- 4/5
TV remote was missing, phone to front desk was not working. Took an hour to turn off the TV (since remote was missing but TV was on).
- 5/5
My favorite hotel in Baltimore. I stay here twice a year and can recommend highly.
- 3/5
The positives: the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly. These are probably the 3 most important things for me, and they brought my rating up to 3 stars instead of 2.
- 3/5
Could have been better. Needed some repairs and was missing some items.
- 5/5
We always choose this when we visit kids at Loyola
- 1/5
Run down, not clean, staff made rude comments, I was there for 5 days and they missed housekeeping on some days.
- 5/5
Our daughter may be going to a university near and this will definitely become our home away from home when we visit.
- 5/5
Excellent customer service, clean, comfortable.
- 4/5
Room was huge, modern and clean.
- 5/5
Great staff!
- 1.5/5
I had to check out early due to the temperature. I was told that the unit was broken. It was entirely too hot in my room
- 1/5
I was told that there is botted water in the room for free but unfortunately there was none. I tried to take a shower after a long day, and there was no hair dryer. I called the FD to ask if there is one provided for the room and the staff said there is and again there was none. He said that he will check “downstairs” fpr one and will call me to pick it up at the FD. I waited for an hour ans still did bot receive a call. I am already on my pjs with wet hair and very tired. What a terrible experience in this hotel. Very sad.
- 3/5
My gosh it needs an update!!! Staff was friendly but hotel is tired and in desperate need of an update!
- 4/5
This was my second stay and I enjoyed my stay both times. The rooms were clean and the staff is always very pleasant.
- 5/5
The staff members were amazing.
- 4.5/5
The front desk staff people were very friendly and accommodating. The location is pleasant and convenient to I-83. I've stayed many times at this property, and the elevators are old and need refurbishing or replacement. In discussing this with hotel staff, they say "Yes, we know...", but nothing has been done about it in several years.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Carpets are filthy. It’s time to replace them. Staff very friendly and it is a great location!
- 5/5
The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I felt very safe since I was traveling by myself. Breakfast was good with nice options. Staff were friendly.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff and great location.
- 5/5
Dog friendly, felt very safe. Room clean, staff friendly, nice breakfast
- 5/5
Great service in a very short stay and professional
- 5/5
Spacious and quiet room.
- 0.5/5
Great Location I was very disappointed with my recent stay at Delta Hotels by Marriott Baltimore North. During my short visit, I found two LARGE roaches in my room—one in the bathroom and another later in the evening. Instead of relaxing, I ended up playing exterminator which completely ruined my stay. When I reported it to the front desk, I was told “water bugs are normal” and that nothing could be done to compensate me at this time. This response was dismissive and unacceptable. Roaches in a guest room are not normal, and this is far below the standard I expect from a Marriott property. The hotel clearly needs a professional exterminator and better training for staff on how to handle guest concerns appropriately
- 3/5
On the bright side, the front desk staff were wonderful. They were very friendly, helpful, and even allowed me a free late checkout, which I really appreciated. The location is also a highlight. There are plenty of shops in the same lot, and I had an amazing time at Nine Tailed Fox nearby. The food was 10/10, the drinks were excellent, and the bar had an upscale yet reasonably priced vibe. Overall, with a little more attention to detail in housekeeping, this could easily be a much stronger hotel choice given its convenient location and great service at the front desk.
- 4/5
The hotel is consistent.
- 5/5
Excellent location, great staff, beautiful location.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. Clean and comfortable. Great location. Friendly front desk staff.
- 4/5
Very nice hotel in a convenient location. Hotel staff is very friendly and the continental breakfast is very good. The only drawback was that the room was freezing on check-in and I guess due the season, they had not yet turned on the heat since no matter what I did with the thermostat, no heat came out. I had to just cut off the air. I tried call the front desk twice, once around 6 pm and again at 8pm but was either put on hold or no one answered. This may just be a staffing shortage. It is however a very nice property and area and I would give them another try when I am in the area.
- 5/5
Equipped with both refrigerator and microwave!
- 5/5
Although it was an older bldg Marriott did a wonderful job redesigning the facility. And of course Marriott mattresses and bedding are a wonderful sleep. The front staff was lovely and accommodating.
- 5/5
Location, cleanliness and staff.
- 4/5
It was the little things - no caps for the coffee cups, only one coffee pouch, the pillows were not at all comfy. But the room was clean and the mattress good. And nothing beats the location for me.
- 5/5
Quiet. Plenty of parking.
- 3/5
Convient for our visit for one night Hard to find in the complex. Construction all around in area. Run down looking. Our toilet overflowed right away so they changed our room. Very little staff around.
- 5/5
I’ve stayed at this hotel years ago and forgot about it. Great treat to be reacquainted with it!! Great location! Room was comfortable and clean! Would definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
I stayed in this hotel because it was convenient and close to the purpose of my travel, it’s clean , but because this hotel allows pets , there was a dog barking in one of the rooms close to mine but overall this hotel is ok.
- 5/5
Amazing stay!
- 3/5
Bed was very comfy. Hotel is run down (chipping paint, a lot bleach stains on rug in room 324, elevator’s numbers do not light up) and Cross Keys has recently upgraded many of its shops and restaurants. It is quite time for Marriott to improve the hotel in this upscale venue/neighborhood. I hope plans are in the works, Marriott!
- 4/5
I wish I had know the gym facilites were 24 hours.
- 1/5
I was eaten up by bed bugs. Please be aware. Delta has not given me a refund as promised.
- 4/5
it was nice…the area is wonderful the hotel is dated rooms needs to be rehabbed or at least new carpet installed.
- 3/5
The property is in a good location and the staff was pleasant. It is a very dated building. Dirty carpet, gaps in door frame. Needs a complete renovation.
- 5/5
All staff were courteous.
- 5/5
Quiet neighborhood. Security.
- 5/5
I call it a boutique hotel because it has independent shops and restaurants around a courtyard. Our room was spacious, clean and the hotel offered a complimentary cooked breakfast in the morning. The desk attendants were professional and very helpful. Cylburn Arboretum is close by and wonderful place to walk around if you have some time to stroll. Highly recommend this hotel if staying in north Baltimore.
- 5/5
Everything was smooth start to finish. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, clean, affordable, and easy parking. Very pleasant experience all the way around.
- 2/5
I got bed bug bites from my recent stay at the hotel. The bed was not comfortable. The shower was not great either; water pressure was non-existent; towels were rough. Not many other hotels in this area which I need to stay, so this was the default place for me to stay. Cross Keys is wonderful, but the hotel needs to step up its game to match the level and quality of the rest of this village area.
- 4/5
Nice hotel and good location just north of the city. Good free breakfast. Room clean and modern. Shower did not drain water. Room next to washing machines and ice machine so very loud overnight. Easy parking and check in/out.
- 5/5
The service
- 4/5
Good stay overall! The reception desk staff were kind and helpful. The elevators definitely need updating, but they still work. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small and the shower/tub definitely needs updating. There were a few stains on the shower curtain, but the tub was clean otherwise. Air conditioning worked well, so no issues there. Cool little shopping center with some nice restaurants right there so that was convenient. We especially liked the ice cream shop for a yummy treat before ending the night.
- 4/5
The hotel and rooms are very large and everything was clean if not a little older. There was a strong smell of pot in the hallway to our room but the room was clear from odor. I wish there was a double lock on the door between the rooms for more security.
- 4/5
This hotel was very nice. I'd definitely stay again. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the water didn't drain well in the tub during my shower, and none of the mirrors had adequate lighting.
- 4/5
Good location
- 5/5
Great cheap and still slightly luxurious lol slightly
- 5/5
Stayed here multiple times and it’s been consistently good.
- 5/5
It is a lovely hotel. My partner works at Pimlico and the proximity to the track cannot be beat. Lots of dining options just outside the hotel doors. The beautiful room was wonderful break from sleeping in the jockeys room!
- 5/5
Spacious layout in the lobby. Spacious and comfortable rooms.
- 4/5
The breakfast was free and was okay. I am not sure if I will be back for this price
- 3/5
Hotel needs update. Room could be cleaner- bathroom floor was not clean and had hair on the floor. Refrigerator had food from previous guest and not clean. Carpet was not clean and seems that was not vacuumed .
- 4/5
This is an interesting place to stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The lobby is bright and cheerful. The breakfasts are definitely better than most other hotel breakfasts. The elevators are older and show some wear, but arrive quickly enough. The free parking is plentiful and feels safe. The location is pretty neat- tucked away in an older shopping mall, surrounded by green. I brought my dog and it made for some lovely walks.
- 4/5
Our room was generally clean, but there was some dust on the furniture behind lamps that was clearly not dusted along with everything else. The furniture could use updating. There was a dresser and desk that did not match. The dresser was worn and the finish was bubbling. The bathroom could use some updating as the caulking is dirty and the faucets looks old. Our room had what looked like a terrace. There were sliding glass doors that opened to the terrace. There were similar accesses to the terrace in the hallways. However, the terrace was not a welcoming place. It had piles of dirt and rubbish. We visited in April, so it's possible it was still not prepared for spring.
- 5/5
Hotel was quiet for sleeping, clean big room, great bar, nice free breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
- 4/5
Easy access and in a good location close to Loyola.
- 4/5
Very nice staff. Ended up in nice room but first two abandoned due to broken toilet and then horrible smell. They let us check out at 2pm because daughter was having surgery at hospital. This was most appreciated. The property needs a spruce up but we had a good stay. The staff kindness made up for property’s aging and need for Reno.
- 5/5
Convenient!!
- 3/5
Friendly and helpful staff. Nice location, but honestly the hotel is a bit tired. Stained carpets, lights in bath didn't work well, peeling wall coverings, dirty elevators.
- 4/5
Decent enough
- 5/5
Nice
- 3/5
The hotel is fine. My room was comfortable and pretty clean. The bathroom could use some work. The breakfast was not very good but kudos to the woman managing it. She was very good. The day I was leaving, I called the front desk and requested a late checkout for noon, rather than 11:00am which the front desk granted. At 11:00, housekeeping knocked on my door asking me when I was leaving. I said I had a noon checkout. About 15 minutes later, I got a call from the front desk asking me when I was leaving. I reiterated my noon checkout. Fifteen minutes after that, someone knocked very loudly on my door. I opened it and two hotel staff members were outside asking me when I was leaving. I repeated that I had a late check out, that I had already spoken to three different hotel staff members, and that I would be leaving at NOON. They agreed to it again and told me they were not asking me to leave (but clearly they were.) Not the best farewell experience.
- 3/5
Convenient, but property needs updating
- 3/5
However, it needs updating. It’s pet friendly, but we didn’t bring any pets, andwe did hear a lot of dogs barking in the hotel across the hall from us.
- 5/5
Had a quite noisy crowd next to me and at 1am I called the desk and asked to be changed to another rm. The staff member was more than obliging and as they only had a 2 bed rm left, she put me in that. I was not charged extra!! The staff were extremely polite and giving...I really appreciated that...
- 4/5
Clean, safe, great sining within a short drive!
- 3/5
For a reasonably high end hotel, the hallways were shabby, doors being held open by old towels, old washrooms that could use disenfecting, rickety elevators, noisy ice vending rooms reverberating into hotel rooms, garden garbage cans in the hallway.
- 1/5
The water from the bathroom sink was brown for the first 10 minutes after you turned it on. Killed 3 bugs in the room. Even though I stressed housekeeping services, we did not receive them. Had to go to front desk to get towels, toilet paper and tissues!
- 4/5
The staff were lovely. The room was big and comfotable but could use a little sprucing up. Room was serviced daily which was a plus. Had Lavazza coffee on Sunday for breakfast. Lots of shos attached to the hotel but room was quiet. Very convenient to Loyola University! Parking was terrific and no extra charge. Will return when we go back to visit our grandaughter.
- 5/5
very clean very quiet stay and comfortable
- 5/5
My overall experience was very positive, especially factoring in the great daily rate.
- 4/5
I’ve stayed here three times now over the course of three years. The rooms are large and the gym equipment is good. Now there are restaurants in the same complex so this is an improvement as well.
- 5/5
It's a complete pleasure to stay here now - in the days since the pandemic. I love Cross Keys Village and I plan to be back, as I've already booked my stay for December!
- 5/5
This is a great place to stay if needing to be close to Loyola University of Maryland or Notre Dame of Maryland University.
- 5/5
Breakfast not served at 6:30am as we were told in writing that it would be.
- 5/5
Our go to hotel when when visiting Loyola ...so convenient and close. The New shops and Restaurants are Amazing.
- 5/5
This place is very underrated.
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly but the building was dark and didn't smell fresh. Tge bathrooms could use some updating but everything was clean.
- 5/5
The front desk person was especially helpful and nice.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
The location was perfect for the business that I needed to do in the Cross Keys area. The staff was very friendly, the room large, well appointed, and comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast was more than I expected. The location in the Cross Keys boutique shopping village meant that I had a choice of good food and some unique and rather upscale shops for me to choose to spend money. A very nice stay and will use this Delta Hotel when I am back in Baltimore again in the spring.
- 5/5
Well the staff at the front desk including the manager and the hostess were fantastic. They provided assist with accomodations and the parking situation. Everyone including housekeeping were so friendly... but I will say, by far, the most impressive part of the staff was the attendant manning the breakfast bar. She had the whole spread laid before 700am. She tidied the whole time. She had every condiment and anything you could need or want available and still made her presence known. I was down by 700am because I had to check in for a flight and extend a car rental. I was downstairs for close to 1 hr. And watched her float around the whole dining area greeting guests, replenishing everything, and just making sure everyone felt warm and welcomed. She is excellent 👏. I could not believe her level of care and concern. Any establishment would be lucky to have her. I travel a lot and stay at tons of hotels. Fruits are done, not my problem. No more yogurt. Oh well. You need milk for your cereal, give me a few minutes while I finish this phone call. I have been to higher rated establishments with poor hiring capacity and even worse employees. She is the example, the real deal model, for how the breakfast bar should look and feel. Congratulations on securing such a lovely employee Delta.
- 3/5
Hotel is in a nice location and everything was clean, but there are major issues with room noise as it seems like the walls a paper thin. Was kept up by shouting in the next room and woken up by alarms in another...
- 3/5
Didn't like that the toilet wasn't cleaned and urine was on the seat. Not sure how you miss that for $187 a night
- 2/5
My daughter and I stayed here for a Springsteen concert in Baltimore. All of the hotels around Inner Harbor were booked, and I found this on Hotels.com. It really needs to be updated and the cleanliness was mediocre at best. It is near some cute shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly.
- 1/5
Dirty. Hair everywhere, pillow & sheets even in the bathroom.. the toilet wasn’t flushing so I had to call front desk to move me to another room which was cleaner than the other one but not as clean as other Marriott hotels. All in all very disappointing experience don’t be deceived by the pictures lol that bathtub was crazy
- 5/5
Excellent customer service and easy parking, why this Hotel doesn’t have pool?
- 4/5
Perfect middle spot to drive anywherr
- 5/5
This was our second stay. Enjoyed it even more the second time.
- 5/5
Staff are friendly and helpful. Made us feel welcomed and it’s my third stay here.
- 5/5
Staff are friendly and very helpful. They made us feel welcomed. We were very happy to stay here and it’s been my third time.
- 5/5
Great check in
- 5/5
Cross Keys is a great location to relax. Friendly staff and good coffee in the morning
- 5/5
Close to college, clean, large room with high ceilings, microwave and refrigerator. Request the 4th floor. Complimentary breakfast was better than most.
- 4/5
Dont like the guard shack which stops traffic. Elevator buttons dont really work. But other than very good stay
- 4/5
O
- 2/5
The room was not as advertised on the website, the bathroom had spiders in the bathtub, and the room was not clean, smelled damp, spider webs on the ceiling. I was very disappointed when I got there. I think hotels listed in the Marriott book should live up to their reputation, the room should be of 3-4 star quality.
- 5/5
This is beautiful property. Very clean & well maintained. Very professional & courteous staff! I would definitely rebook!
- 5/5
I loved it
- 3/5
However HOUSEKEEPING need to work This is my 2nd time staying at this location and both times the bathroom was not the cleanest Under the vanity needs to be swept and mopped there was no trash can in bathroom Shower soap was empty there was no tissue in the lobby bathroom
- 1/5
The hotel is clearly in need or in preparation for renovation. We were able to overlook the outdated furniture, etc. What we found most unacceptable were the hole in the curtains that appeared to be from dry rot, the shower fixture falling off the wall, the dirt and grime in the bathroom floor under the sink and the soiled sheets. When we called the front desk to ask for new sheets were were told to come down and get them ourselves. We will never stay here again.
- 5/5
The resort like atmosphere
- 1/5
The property was very outdated and upkeep. Looks like it doesn’t happen on a daily basis. The rugs with Filthy filled with spills and smell like cigarettes.
- 4/5
I liked the shopping
- 5/5
Amazing!!
- 4/5
Staff were great.
- 2/5
The hotel looks like a small old motel turned into a Marriott.
- 4/5
Bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly. Hallways a bit musky and humid. Room was of excellent size and parking was easy and convenient.
- 5/5
Very clean!! Very nice
- 4/5
Started off not so good because we weren’t able to check in as early as I would like and the woman at the desk wasn’t very friendly but later that day the man who checked us in was amazing and you can tell he had more customer service experience than the lady had. Overall the stay was amazing
- 4/5
nice big clean room and full breakfast
- 5/5
Staff was great
- 4/5
The hotel is in need of freshening but it is convenient and fairly priced. Breakfast was complete and tasty. The only demerit I can assess is for marijuana smell in hallway. I guess no smoking signs mean nothing nowadays.
- 5/5
In the morning during breakfast there were two women one of them was Toni i believe and i didn't get tp catch the woman's name but she was a young black woman. They were both so sweet and answered all of my questions. I will definitely be back to this delta location. Ive had great experiences at Delta Hotels but this one was the best
- 5/5
Rooms are very clean and comfortable would stay here again
- 5/5
Easy free parking on site Complimentary breakfast in lobby Nice new restaurant walking distance in shopping center and nice new ice cream shop Perfect stay
- 5/5
A lovely hidden treasure
- 5/5
Great little spot to getaway for a local. Definitely would be a great hotel for someone visiting the city. Really safe location
- 3/5
This property is older and just average. It looks like they are doing some construction around the hotel complex so maybe that will make it more attractive.
