However, they do get points on cleanliness. The grounds appeared to be well kept. The room was basic, but clean. Please get a professional to fix that elevator. Having to check the breaker box multiple times is not a good look.

We asked for early check-in but only arrived 15 minutes before check in, they told me I’d need to wait 30 minutes (15 min after check in time). When the man in my group asked, a room was ready in 5 minutes. We rushed off to a wedding to return late at night and find the bathroom has not been throughly cleaned, there was hair and urine on the toilet. We opted to use the downstairs toilet for a clean seat. When I spoke to the desk person the next morning she told me the room was checked by a manager and that it was certainly cleaned properly but when she asked for pictures I did have them and explained I was the only one who had entered the bathroom therefore I’m sure no one used it before we left for the wedding. Because I did not book directly they only offered me a Starbucks gift card. Also, the breakfast included was disappointing, there were no hot options. Good thing is ihop is across the plaza. Overall the staff were not helpful or friendly and the cleanliness left something to be desired.

Rooms were clean, place looked updated except for elevator it was loud and took a long time. Breakfast needs to have more ! The only protein was hard boiled eggs no hot foods. Cereal, bagels and muffins definitely gets old after several day stay.

The hotel always smells like a fresh cleaning smell which I appreciate. I thought this was the Spark hotel by the beach but it's not. It is located in the same plaza as IHOP and Wendy's within walking distance. You have to drive to the beach about 30 minutes away. Breakfast was good (bagels, yogurt, muffins, cereal..coffee and orange juice). The parking spots fill up quickly try to get in before 11pm to get a parking spot. I would stay again. It's worth the price.

I think the problem that I had with Spark is that it's listed as a Hilton facility. This raises expectations. Honestly, it's more like what you would expect from a nice Super-8 than a Hilton. The carpet and furnishings are very bare-bones. The pool is tiny. Breakfast is nothing to write home about. With the exception of two of the staff, most of the staff were just barely cordial. The rooms are not at all soundproofed - you heard people banging doors late at night and early in the morning. Because of my Expedia discount, the room ran about $100 a night and for that, I would expect a bit better than what we experienced. We really liked Bluffton and the surrounding areas a great deal. But when we return, we will probably find other accommodations.

Parking was fine, hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Room AC worked well. The pool was a bit dirty (dead bugs and tree stuff,) in the morning -- understandable because it's not covered.

Not sure if this place is new or newly remodeled but it was excellent. Friendly staff at check in, plenty of parking, room was very spacious, bed super comfy. Nice area around as well. There was breakfast included with the stay but we did not get the chance to check it out. AC kept the room plenty cool and overall the property was very quiet. Would recommend and stay here again next time we are in town.

The rooms were clean. No microwave or closet in the room. You had to request new towels or room cleaning as they only do this every 2 days. However, you were not informed as such until we asked. Breakfast was average. But overall clean.

The rooms were clean, however very sparse. Another chair in the room would have been welcomed along with a clock. Maybe tell the staff to dilute the liquid they are cleaning the floors with as the bathroom floor was exceptionally sticky.

We booked 3 nights for the RBC Heritage Golf Tournament. Upon checkin the room looked clean and spacious. We checked in very tired from a day of walking in the heat. We went to dinner then straight to bed. The next evening my husband and I both noticed something protruding from a corner of the wall in the bathroom beside the shower. Upon closer inspection…we found it to be a literal mushroom(about 4 inches long) growing from an area of obvious mold. There was another area of mold on the other end of the shower as well. We called the front desk. Someone came about 30 minutes later and scraped the area and mushroom away. Sprayed a chemical then covered both areas back over with caulk. I can’t imagine the amount of mold in those walls to support a live mushroom!!! This is a real health hazard and should not be an issue when paying for a hotel. Needless to say, we checked out that morning around 11:30. We were not offered another room until we were at the front desk without bags packed and leaving. I wouldn’t feel safe staying there anyway. The receptionist did not give me a receipt and actually denied a refund for the night we did not stay. I have the pictures of the mold and the mushroom. My husband and I both began sneezing and coughing on our second day. We did call Hilton as my husband is a Silver member. They did request the pictures of the mold and growing mushroom(fungus.) we are waiting to hear back from them about a refund for the night we did not feel safe to stay.

The place was dirty, minimal towels and no bath mat. We stayed 3 days and only had our room cleaned once. As a Gold member I was put right next to the elevator in a place no room should be located.

The room was very clean. Upon arrival you can smell the freshness in the room. The entire property is clean.However, not once but twice, had to wait for a lengthy time for the front desk staff to show up, upon arrival and the day of check out. I requested late check out, from 11am to 12am, an hour , but was not granted because I am not a loyalty member, not sure if that’s the term. The front desk staff said he couldn’t grant my request because they have a large group coming in , however, if I was a member It would’ve been granted. Clearly they don’t care much about non members. Other than that , the cleanliness, which is what I care about the most, gets a 12/10

Parking was easy and secure. Staff were friendly enough and no issues with check in or out. My only grievance was the smell of the room when we got there. I’m not one to usually complain of smells, but the smell was maybe the cleaner used. Smelled musty and of ammonia. It was so bad I got a headache the moment I walked in the room at 9pm, so not right after normal cleaning times. We had a window we could open and we propped the hall door open to air the room some. Walked down the hall to see if it was just our room, but it smelled like that throughout the halls. I have only had this issue with the smell of the room at a lower budget hotel. I thought with the price we paid, we wouldn’t run into that issue! I would suggest another hotel if you have known sensitivities to smells. Otherwise, no complaints.

No one cleaned room. There was a dripping sound coming from the bathroom ceiling a good part of stay. Needed to close bathroom door not to hear it. Reported it to staff. No safe in room. 5 hangers in closet. Had to request more. Shower floor slippery. Breakfast was very nice.

Friendly front desk staff. Clean and comfortable room. Coffee/tea bar was stocked and fresh. But my favorite was the pillows! Four on each bed and extremely fluffy.

This did not feel like a Hilton property. The room did not feel like it was finished. The bed was pretty comfortable. The sheets and pillows were soft enough. However, the bathroom fixtures did not work well at all! The shower faucet was loose and the water pressure was nonexistent. I would not stay here again.

Woke the whole hotel. So much for getting a good nights sleep! Had 3 rooms booked. We all checked out at 2am. Hilton lost a few customers that night.

I've had better continental breakfast

The coffee was very weak and not good. Beds were uncomfortable and in the morning I found a live spider on the blanket. Windows were thin and we kept hearing car doors shut and alarms. We kept hearing the people in the room above walk around. Breakfast was toast and cheap muffins or basic yogurt which doesn’t work for lactose intolerant or health conscience diets. I think I saw two bruised bananas. We left hungry and tired.

Check in went well. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly. Although I wasn't offered a lower rate after I had agreed to take a smaller room. The hotel has a good breakfast. I liked the fact that they had boiled eggs, but they were impossible to peel. There was some extremely loud music coming out a room on the first floor, but it didn't seem anything was being done about it. And this was at 5:30 in the morning ! This contributed in my comment about being family friendly. The hotel was adequate, but I don't think I'd stay again.

Excellent customer service and engagement! There was only one mildly negative thing to mention, is that the fitness room was external to the hotel. You hve to go outside to the pool to go to the fitness room. That was little concerning from a safety perspective. But as I overall, a nice hotel and experience.

Terrible!!

My problem was a cold shower. It turns out the shower valve is plumbed backwards, so the farther the lever is turned toward hot the colder the water becomes. I was wide awake after my brisk shower! Also, housekeeping skipped my room after the first night which was a minimal annoyance. So not special, but clean, quiet, and safe.

If you stay at any of the Hilton Hotels just be prepared to not have a microwave to warm up your food. The Spark Hotel in Bluffton location only had one microwave that was in a main area. They need to bring microwaves back into the hotel rooms this is ridiculous. My next stay will definitely be at a resort or a place that has a kitchenette or Motel 6 they have a microwave this was terrible as far as not having a microwave, but the staff was really nice and helpful.

Decent stay for a decent price. Rooms as big and updated. Showers are very nice. Breakfast was ok, not as big as other places. Pool is okay, but not big, and has no hot tub. Bed was a little firm, but slept fine. Pillows were way too soft/flat, just ask for firmer pillow.

I stayed one night at spark, It was overall very good. The staff I interacted with were friendly. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The only negative I have is that in the fitness area, the light would not work and there was no power to the two cardio machines. I also got charged for something that the person at the front desk said he would take care of (bringing my ice bucket back to the room) and clearly that did not happen.

The room was comfortable. Parking was greatly crowded, with trucks and trade vehicles parking crosswise in the parking spaces. Room service was adequate but failed to restock the toilet tissue. The breakfast was very poor; the orange juice was undrinkable. No warm/hot food. Disappointing for Hilton brand hotel.

Housekeeping kept knocking on my door after I told him once I was checking out and confirmed it downstairs he knocked on my door 3 more times n stayed by my door so rude.

Nice hotel quick easy

We were very happy with our experience. We stayed Wednesday through Sunday and never had an issue. Staff were very nice and respectful. Breakfast was fully stocked and clean area. Location was 25 minutes from Coligny beach. We will definitely stay again.

Great place friendly service!

Front desk had a rude staff on first night. The rest were friendly. Manager stayed gone alot didn’t know what was going on. They started cleaning room before checking out. Could be quality hotel needs leadership.

However there were several things that knocked down my rating. Maybe they were little but they could be fixed. First off, I have a disabled parking placard. The disabled parking was not near the entrance. Parking near the entrance was reserved for their "elite status" members. Secondly, the king room I had was very large but it was also empty space. It would have been nice to have an additional chair or loveseat instead of making one person sit on the bed and the other sit on the old chair that was there like a remnant from the old days with all that space in the room. There was no microwave or coffee maker in the room. In fact I don't even remember a microwave in the breakfast area. And even though the website says there is coffee available in the lobby, the pots were empty both evenings I went down hoping to get a cup. The swimming pool was dirty and the water very cloudy. It was a big turnoff on a couple of 95 degree days. When I checked out there was an outside contractor pool crew starting to work on the pool. As for their advertising a free breakfast, it was great if you like bagels. There was no hot food. 2 bagel stations with toasters, the usual cold cereal, some hard boiled eggs, and a yogurt machine. All of the beautiful counter space wasted on bagels. Very disappointing.

We arrived late. Unfortunately we had to witness an upset customer ahead of us but the representative of the hotel handled the situation well. The customer was NOT right. The hotel was pretty cleaned. The grounds could be cleaner especially with the garbage cans inside and out. Couldn't find a garbage can to throw something out that was bigger than a soda can on the floors unless you were there outside or in the kitchen area. I was a bit frustrated that they knew I was a party of 6 so clearly I needed to use the pull out sofa and had to 1) call for the sheets for the sofa which didn't include pillows (2 fitted sheets and a thin quilt) but 2) that we had to go get them from the front desk. Same for towels. If you know the room is booked for 6, 6 towels should be provided. If it's booked for 2, give them 2. They provided breakfast from 6 to 10 which is a great timeframe. Keep in mind, it was a cold breakfast meaning no hot items. It was cereal, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, juice, bagels, muffins, and then coffee and hot tea. There is a Sam's Club, Walmart, IHOP, bagel shop and much more within minutes. There was a mini fridge in the room as well. They provide a free pack and play for infants and have highchairs for breakfast. Be careful when you go outside at night. We encountered owls, wolf spiders, racoons, and water bugs. Doesn't affect my rating for the hotel persay but if maybe the garbage cans outside were cleaned more frequently they wouldn't have unwanted guests.

Perfectly fine hotel, clean, spacious, modernized (perhaps recently renovated).... however, the smell of whatever cleaning product that they use was overpowering, which unfortunately made me feel a bit uncomfortable (like I was staying in a hospital or something). It smells OVERWHELMINGLY like chemicals/cleaning or sanitizing - in the lobby AND the rooms. On one hand, great to know it's clean! On the other hand, I wasn't really looking forward to going back there at the end of the day and marinating in the sanitizing smell. Front desk staff was A+ and service all good!!

Hotel had many structural upgrades but big breakfast downgrade versus previous 5 years of visits. External sound speakers ran all night !! If you happened to be in Room 123 you had music ALL NIGHT that you really didn’t want!!

Nice hotel but as someone who doesn’t know the area I didn’t realize I wasn’t actually gonna be staying in Hilton head but nonetheless it was a nice clean hotel!

The only minor downside was not having coffee in the room (though it was available in the lobby). Otherwise, an excellent stay in a very comfortable room.

There were no carts to bring anything up to room. The guy at the desk said they had three. He went to floors and found zero. He did help us. None around the bext morning. Second issue, breakfast downgraded, no hot food, no eggs, bacon, waffles etc. Only bagels and cereal basically. Otherwise the place was very nice.
