Sun Dek Beach House

We have stayed here twice in the last year. The property is very clean and well maintained. Always greeted with a welcoming smile that makes you want to come back. This is our Florida go to spot!

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay in a lovely completely renovated queen room. Pleasantly surprised with the full kitchen set. Great location. Wonderful beach to swim and collect shells. The pool was clean, good size and refreshing. All amenities are in place so worry free mini vacation. WiFi, large TV, dishwasher, stove, full refrigerator, beach chairs and towels. Assigned parking included. No “resort” fees or other surprises. Exceptional in every way. Thank you Marsha!

The space was charming and practical for an extended stay and we loved the close proximity to the beach. We will book the Sundek for our relatives when they come to visit.

Nice local hotel in Ocean Ridge (the only one!) with friendly staff and laid back vibe, a very short distance from the beach. My room was very clean and functional (full kitchen) and no crowds off season.

Great location, excellent facilities

The Sun Dek Beach House is a mixed bag. They are not above using puffery to describe their properties or rooms. While the location is walking distance to the beach, the pool and outdoor common area is kept nice and onsite mgt seems like they care, The property is not on the beach and water view rooms have no view of the ocean and are greatly exaggerated , though their description and pricing suggest otherwise. You might as well be in a room with no windows, you must keep all your shades drawn in your room to have any privacy. Your bed is less than two feet from an outside sidewalk separated only by a large window. Each room has its own water heater giving enough hot water for one shower. TV’s are small and old and internet service is minimal. Furniture is cheap and the roach hotels are there for a reason. I have reason to believe it is necessary to lock up your valuables when leaving the room. Ive stayed at many hotels some much more expensive and many less. In my opinion the marketing is deceptive and the price charged is grossly over inflated, if I pay their price I expect nice accommodations and experience worthy of the price and I did not get it, instead I left feeling like a victim.

This is a quaint place with lots of thought put in to what a guest would need. Very clean and the pool is heated. The beach is just a few minutes walk away! Eileen, the manager, was vey kind and helpful!

Loved the small atmosphere. The entire property was clean and well kept. My 1 bedroom suite had all the amenities that I needed including fridge, coffee, and dishwasher. The location is fantastic with a 5 minute walk to the beach! I love that they provide beach chairs for you to take down the street, too. All of my interactions with staff were very positive. Nothing! It was a great stay!

This hotel exceeded my expectations. I actually never heard of Sun Dek but found them on booking.com. The room was clean, and comfortable. You literally don’t need anything, they have everything for you! Plates, utensils, pots, pans, wine opener, spatulas, salt and pepper, coffee. Like the list goes on. You literally just need to bring the stuff you want to cook. They even supply you with beach chairs and beach towels to use on the beach. The desk person even said you’re free to use the grills they have on site, just ask for the tongs and supplies. Like it felt like an apartment. My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. We are locals so this was a staycation. We will be back! No Netflix or apps on the tv like Xfinity. They only have Directv.

It's actually a 1 bedroom apartment, complete with full kitchen. Its immaculate. The grounds have a lovely pool and comfortable lounge chairs, even has grills and tables for eating outside in a pergola. Across the street from a beautiful ocean beach. Highly recommend.

Room was spotless, staff was friendly and helpful. When they saw us with our luggage they helped drag it upstairs t our room. Same thing when we were leaving. The room was large and comfortable. It is exactly as pictured.

I really enjoy staying here for my annual birthday and conference trip. The apartments are spacious, clean, and everything works great. Hoping they move to bigger TVs someday, but there’s just not a lot of other things to complain about. Location is convenient and a short walk to the park or beach. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Water pressure in the shower is lower than I’d like, but it’s really just a great place to stay for few days.

Walking distance to the beach, very clean and comfortable rooms, staff was very accommodating, they had beach towels and beach chairs to lend... We will be back.

Climate systems in rooms are noisy, next to our bedroom was hotel washing machine room which they used during night and that really didnt let us enjoy the sleep at night. Room was mostly clean but not 100%.

The room was very nice and clean, with plenty of room and a comfortable bed. The air conditioner was very powerful, blowing cold air on us while we slept. It would be good to be able to lower the fan speed at night. The other thing is the TV was not set up to allow streaming.

The property was beautiful, very well maintained and convenient to the beach. The staff and housekeeping were incredibly friendly/ accommodating. Everything was very clean and the neighborhood is breathtaking. Will definitely stay here again!

We loved out stay! The unit was cute, clean, comfortable and quiet. Just a short walk down a path to the beach, and they provided us with beach chairs and an umbrella. We also enjoyed a refreshing dip in the pool. The staff was excellent and we'd definitely return!

Overall well-maintained property & nice staff. Although some room furnishings & towels can use an upgrade/replacement. This isn't related to the property: beach this time a year has LOTS of seaweed so that was the biggest disappointment. We might consider coming back at different time

Absolutely the best place to stay. It is super clean and soooo comfortable and cozy. The rooms make you feel like your at home I love staying her so much wish I could have stayed longer but will be back soon.

The premises were wonderful for our small family gathering. Rooms are large. Premises are well maintained. Nice staff keeps things clean and fresh. Short walk to beach. Nice pool and patio furniture. Covered cabana a big plus, when it rains, and plenty of sheafs when sunny.

Closeness to the beach, wonderful pool, clean, well appointed, pet-friendly, umbrellas, beach chairs and beach towels, a little “library”, quiet guests, numerous of rooms, 60s FL architecture, nicely renovated. Pricey, WiFi not great in our apt. (furthest away from router) but just walk outside and it’s fine.

This is our fourth visit to Sun Dek Beach house. The location is perfect; directly across A1A from the beach. Lovely pool, that is never crowded. The staff and housekeepers are helpful and accommodating. Clean, high quality bedding and linens. We stay for 10 days and have access to full kitchen

The staff is very nice but we’re only there two days and they forgot to clean our room the night staff was excellent about it. The manager the next day as we were saying goodbye we told her they didn’t clean the room and she was like oh yeah sorry. Which was kind of a turn off to us . I do have to agree with the other reviews. The beds are not comfortable.

Wonderful staff (friendly and helpful), close to the beach and with a heated swimming pool. I would definitely come back. The sofa-bed was really not comfortable and very noisy any time you moved.

Beware of bed bugs in suite 14. We stayed 2 nights and my daughter who slept on the couch got numerous bites. We found out they were bug bites after checking out. We called to advise the hotel so future guests would not be impacted and were surprised not to even get a return call.i guess they were not concerned.

Beautiful clean property and room. Loved having the kitchen and everything you needed to make a meal in here and there. Both gas and charcoal grills, beach chairs available so you didn’t have to rent.

Great staff, super front desk and caring people

The apartment was nice enough, but the bed and pillows were terrible, overly soft. There is wifi but it doesn't work if you're not near the office. When I called to ask about the wifi, because I wanted to stream a movie at night, I was told that we were too far from the router and there are plenty of satellite channels. Additionally, my husband got a tattoo while we were in town and the tattoo stained the bed sheet. They charged us $100.03, presumably for the sheets but I'm not certain since I didn't actually get a receipt.

Generally clean but our hand soap at the sink had what looked like little black poop. Something had clearly got in and lived there for a bit. We exchanged it for a new one. We were there 5 nights and got housekeeping only twice. For some reason no one showed up the second day. The day before we checked out, we were only heading out after 1pm (as it was raining). Housekeeping said they couldn't do our room as they leave by around 1pm. So, no housekeeping that day either. Overall, decent place but I'd look around for options our next visit.

Basically private beach access

People are very nice. Allower for an early check in which helped me out. My only complaint was the cleanliness of the shower. Unit was clean. The shower floor was in need of a bleach srub. Mold building up. Normally due to lack of scrubbing with bleach. I would stay again.

We were blown away at the cleanliness, attention, customer service and warmth and friendliness from this wonderful establishment, a short walk to the beach, we will gladly stay here again.

Located in a beautiful upscale area. Great check in, good and friendly staff. Room was spacious and had all we needed. Building is old and musty. Bathroom needs more towel racks.

Wonderful experience 10/10

Booked Sun Dek for a Mother's Day getaway for my fiance. She loves the beach and thought this would be a great location. I was right, minutes walking distance to a beautiful beach and Sun Dek had beach chairs and umbrellas for our use, free of charge. Will definitely return as my fiance loved her time there.

Wonderful hidden quiet gem of a hotel next to A1A with a two minute walk to the beach. Recently renovated with a relaxing clean pool and pool area. Or borrow beach chairs and umbrellas supplied by the hotel for guests to take down to the beach. We have stayed at several hotels in the area over the years but this is a place we will definitely recommend and will return to the next time we’re in Florida!

Our family booked a few rooms and we greatly enjoyed time by the pool, meals under the canopy, 4 minute walk to the beach which is gorgeous and clean, beech chairs, and the friendliest staff.

Beach across the street. Very friendly staff. Mike walk to restaurants. 1.5-2 mile walk to grocery store.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Sun Dek. Location made for an easy walk to the beach and for bike rides up to Palm Beach or down to Delray Beach. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful.

I hesitate to share this hidden gem. Everything about it is perfect. Clean, friendly, safe, convenient, beach right across the street.

We came for a few days. It was so clean, quiet and near everything we planned to do. The property was just a short walk across the road to the beach. We liked how many nice amenities there were, how clean and well kept up. The unit we stayed in had all we needed to cook a nice meal. The help from the staff to navigate the late check in was understanding and efficient. We recommend the Sun Dek highly.

The staff was very helpful and the property was very clean. My son enjoyed the pool and how spacious our one bedroom actually was. Very happy. Look forward for another possible visit soon

We like everything about our experience at Dek Sun. Everything was clean, pleasant and calm. Excellent customer service. They called us the day before arrival to know about arriving time. The beach is a delight. We definitely recommend it and will be back with the whole family soon!

Horrible check in process

Very nice location. Comfy bed. Very clean and in a laid back area. Highly recommend. We would stay here again!

The only con thing was - visiting in June 2023, the water at the beach was full of seaweed. Had to go either north to Lake Worth or Riviera or south to Delray to swim. I'd think that was either accidental or seasonal, and in other times it must be fine.

I found my next and always location for future travels. Drove past this lodging several times over the years… better late than never! Clean, staff is perceptive and accommodating. The location is perfect for me. Beach is just a walk across the street. The pool area and covered “picnic” area lends itself to communicating and mingling with other guests. Great stay!

Lovely and quaint. Front desk staff were warm and accommodating. Housekeeping staff missed a few beats. Room 10 has the best view of the inter coastal waterway. Short walk through the woods to a relatively private beach area. Great that there are beach chairs available at the hotel for use at the beach. Had a lovely 5 night stay. Short drive to decent restaurants. Nice modern kitchenette area. Plenty of towels, for the pool and beach too! Grill and picnic tables in the pool area are a nice touch.

Is a quaint hideaway

Quaint with wonderful amenities and location close to the beach.

This was my second time staying at the Sun Dek. Our second visit was as great as the first. It’s a small, cozy place. The rooms are just adorable, updated and clean. My daughter and I many times had the pool all to our selves. It’s only a short stroll down the street to the beach as well. If you choose not to rent a car Uber and Lyft were so easy to use. Very quiet and safe at night. And Marcia is the absolute gem of the place-such a super nice lady. 👍👍👍👍👍

The setting is beautiful. Our room was exceptional, clean, modern. The staff was very accommodating since we arrived late. They have arranged a very simple way to enter after hours.

The room was nicely furnished and updated. The bed was so comfy and great pillows. Convenient assigned parking right by our door. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Best place we have stayed in a while.

It’s not a four star hotel but somehow it’s better, at least for us. Away from the fray but gets the same sunshine. It’s beachy, homey, accommodating, and instacart is just a few clicks away (even though their fees kind of blow it’s totally convenient.) Not much in the way of commerce but we so didn’t care, a couple of waterfront restaurants and drift boat fishing are walkable, and it’s a reasonable Uber to delray. (There’s also a two dollar bus if you like— that actually shows up!)

What a superb place to stay. This is a top notch vacation lodging. You can see the effort they put in to make it so. I kind of hate to share this because I selfishly don't want more people going there and potentially finding it fully booked when I want to return.
