Pricing was accurate to the service. You get what you pay for. It matched my low expectations. In short I didn't like: Customer service, the cash only deposit needed, outdoor noise, interior quality, and the "breakfast". Staff wasn't around when needed and was rude when I checked out, don't count on them. I'm guessing she was sleeping at the time as she went back upstairs out of the office after. In her defense it was midnight on a Saturday. You need $50 cash deposit to check in, can't use a credit/debit card. If you don't have it then they will point you to the gas station ATM and the charge is $5.50. Renovations are needed and the door has a gap so you can hear any car that drives by (also near a train track). The smoke detector was knocked down and everything had a layer of gross feel. The room was a decent size. Breakfast consist of two cereal dispensers, coffee (wasn't filled at the time), a gallon of milk, and two loafs of bread. You're better off going to the gas station next door for breakfast. Please don't bring your kids here.

the "Hot breakfast" was a half empty cheerios fruit loops dispenser with a half cool gallon of milk below, a couple of slices of white bread in a clear container, a coffee machine. and that's it. no juice no fruit, it was horrible. No hair dryer in the room a fridge that sounded like someone was kicking the wall when it kicked on and off. the worst possible review i have ever given a hotel. Finally, he agreed to check me in. He demanded a $50 CASH ONLY deposit. Of course, there is NO ATM at the hotel. So I had to leave, drive around looking for an ATM, and pay an $8 ATM fee to get the money. There was construction on the second floor. People running table saws, hammers, banging, a lot of yelling and people. There were people in the parking lot working on crappy old cars, changing fluids, using the parking lot as a work area for personal vehicles. When I got in the room, it was FILTHY. Anything plastic, like the air conditioner, outlets, bathtub, fixtures, were ANCIENT, yellow, shrunk, decayed, cracked, damaged. The floor was sticky. The walls were filthy. MANY people were all around the place, hanging out outside the hotel and in the parking lot. Most of them looked sick, on drugs, or mentally ill. It did not appear safe and was very loud with all the people shouting at clouds and spazzing out and whatnot. People were living in that hotel. Charlotte does NOT care for their homeless population OR for the mentally ill or people struggling with substance abuse. They have no recourse and nowhere to go, but it is very irresponsible of Hotels.com to list this property with inaccurate photos as a place that is safe to stay.

The stay started when i arrived and saw the check-in counter behind thick plexi-glass, which right away tells me it is a shady area. Then there was 50 cash only deposit which nobody stayed would be the case. It said continental breakfast was include, i do not know what their idea of continental breakfast is but every other place i stay has hot food like eggs or waffles or microwave sandwiches, this place only had cold cereal and coffe what a joke. The airconditioner/heater would make noise by the last day the fan was hitting something and i had to turn it off. I would never recomend this place to anyone and should not even be out on your website anymore, i would ask for compensation back but i doubt i would even get it.

The hotel is in a rougher part of town and they charge a 50$ cash only deposit on arrival, with the extra, 50$ on arrival it would have been the same price to start downtown Charlotte. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. They also claim a Continental breakfast. It's just Cheerios. That it. So it's ok if you have to stay there but if you can go else where I would

Be aware of the motel policies. $50 cash only deposit if you book through a 3rd party. First guy at check in was extremely rude. Booked a nonsmoking king size bed for my partner and I as we are both taller and still ended up with a queen. People smoked outside their doors and it smelled like cig smoke all night especially with the gaps in the door. You couldn’t pay me to sit on the couch. Tried to turn on the AC unit and the smoke alarm went off and when we tried to tell the clerk at check out, he accused us of smoking. There was no fan in the bathroom, the door wouldn’t shut, and the door scraped against the toilet so you practically had to stand in the shower to attempt to close it. Upon check out, the same clerk just slapped the cash deposit on the counter. No good morning, just attitude.

We liked price and convenience to downtown Charlotte. The room was extremely cold when we arrived, 62 degrees with only a sheet and extremely thin cover. No blanket or comforter so i froze. The door to the bathroom wouldn't shut because the toilet was in the way. My son had an extremely large roach in his bathtub. They requested a $50 cash deposit per room that we found strange. The noise level until early morning hours made it difficult to sleep. The continental breakfast was cheerios, white bread and coffee. It was not refilled so empty when we went down. I would not recommend this to friends.

I go to check in and am hassled for a $50 dollar cash deposit from the desk worker. Says its a required deposit and must be cash. I told her that was mentioned no where when i booked the room and prepayed for it. She then said since it was non smoking it was another $50 in cash deposit. I told her this was not posted and i already paid for the room and dont have that much cash on my person. She then asked how much i had on me....well there goes the mandatory 50 and now whatever i have. I refused to pay anything and called Expedia, as i was navigating the menu she then said she would wave the cash deposit after i asked my for id back while i was calling. Call me crazy but this seems a little dishonest. The property is not a 3 star property 1.5 at best. The parking lot had lots of loitering and people getting 'things' from a guy in an unmarked white van all night/morning. The room, well its seen better days i had a leak from under the shower of uknown liquid, the toilet had had a hard life as evidenced by the stains. The walls were paper thin, i wasnt expecting a top tier hotel given the price but i wasnt also expecting to be hassled for a cash deposit of varying amounts to check in. Overall would not recommend, if it wasnt 130 am when i got there i would have left.

It was highly insulting to leave a cash deposit, (that we didn’t know about), most hotels put a reserve on your credit card to cover damages caused by guest. Shady type people walking around at night seeming to be pimps and prostitutes. Although room was pretty clean, the tub should probably be deglazed as it seemed dingy even though it may have been clean.

I didn't stay. It was the most horrendous screw-up I've experienced in a hotel stay. The man at the counter said Expedia gave them the wrong account number, so he couldn't collect. After going back and forth a bit (it was hard to hear him), I called your customer service. They had your lodging department call him. That phone call must have lasted 20 minutes. Couldn't get it straightened out. He said I could cancel with you and pay him directly as a walk-in, but I'd have to pay a $50 cash deposit. I didn't have $50 cash. I left and called you again. I was assured that Expedia would take care of it. The lady was going to connect me with guest services, and they'd get me a room somewhere where I wouldn't have to pay any more than I had. A man got online who, unfortunately, I couldn't understand well because of his accent. He said he was going to call the Econo Lodge again to straighten in out! I told him your lodging department couldn't get it straightened out. He said he would do it anyway. After awhile he came back on the line and said I could get a room at that very Econo Lodge, but I would have to pay a deposit. I told him I couldn't pay the cash deposit. By then I was done with Expedia. I got a room at a LaQuinta. I will call Expedia late about having my money refunded, even though it was a non-refundable reservation. I don't know who was more at fault--the hotel or Expedia--but it was Expedia's rep who said you'd get me a room without additional cost.

This was the cheapest hotel in the Charlotte airport area for the night I stayed. You get what you pay for - lumpy uncomfortable bed, yellowish looking towels with a washcloth that didn’t look like it had been washed, door jamb looked like it had been busted in at one point, stains on the ceiling, sketchy people hanging out outside, sketchy cars driving around in the lot. One of the sketchiest motels I’ve ever stayed in, would have left if it wasn’t late already when I got there.

The couch seemed clean enough to sit on with no worries. Upon using Clorox wipes over surfaces throughout I found it seemed fairly clean. The hotel parking lot seemed to have shady things going on. I do not recommend going to the gas station next door at night unless you want to be hit up relentlessly for money and beer. The good news is my car was still in one piece by morning. The free breakfast was a disgrace: no coffee, bread to toast, some nasty cornflakes, and an orange drink. The hotel staff was nice.

The hotel is a dump. Old, not maintained, stained sheets, saggy beds, sticky floors, front door that dead bolt won't lock - and believe my you will want it locked.

I liked the fresh clean smell of the sheets. Thought bethroom deplorable and bed and pillows uncomfortable. We waited over an hour after a very grueling day yo get checked. Inexperienced help.

I got a smoking room so obviously I knew it was going to smell. But there were cigarette stains everywhere. Other than that it was just a no thrills hotel room which is fine because it was cheap.

There was construction being done to the room on the other side of my room. There was also loud noise from the outside (talking and motorcycle). The room was very dusty. Breakfast was a joke with coffee and cereal.

I’m never using Expedia again. Your photos lie, the staff at this place are beyond rude, and there are families living there with their kids. This is not the Expedia I used to know.

A great place to be murdered over a meth deal gone bad. Horrible, foul, revolving and those are the good parts. Where cigarette butts go to die. Charming as a kidnapping

The room was not in the best shape. I wanted a room a close to the airport. Bed was nice. Walls were damaged. Heating/air unit ok. Would not stay there again. Room was supposedly nonsmoking, yet smelled of smoke.

The hotel looks nothing like the pictures on the web site. The building has been repainted. Beyond that I don't have any complaints. It's not a five start stay, but that's not what I signed up for to begin with. Everything was clean and tidy. The wifi works well.

For the dollars paid, it provides a reasonable service. Easy to find right off the expressway I had no complaints other than there was no soap, tissue or towels in the room. But a quick trip to the front desk got me all those amenities.

It was in a low key location next to a highway for easy access to get anywhere in the city. The price was the best in the city. Been staying here the past two trips I’ve had to Charlotte.

We reserved a nonsmoking room, we weren't supposed to be charged until we checked in, we were charged before that. The next morning the maid came in our room without knocking while smoking a cigarette and said "I thought y'all woulda been gone by now". The sheets and comforters were covered in cigarette burns and the room stunk like an ashtray. It was a delight.

  • Annette Oct 2017 · via expedia

Room was yucky, no blankets on beds, just sheet and bedspread: no in-room coffee, fridge and microwave dirty, tub and shower dirty. Entire Motel needs a remodel. Area is very loud, guests next door were yelling all night and night clerk was way beyond rude. Can see light around the door to the outside. Hotel has some swmi-permanent residents that are just downright crewpy. Asked for help with the noise next door, nothing was done then the 24hr front desk stopped answering the phone. Clerk the next morning insinuated that if the noise was still going on after I called the first time that I should have called back. When I told him I di, multiple timea, he told that I did not call, because there weren't any messages, calling me a liar and dismissed me from the office telling me checkout is at 11! Unbelievable! Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere but here. For a Wyndham related entity I really expected more!

We was here for the football game and our vacation this is our first time in Charlotte. We seen a roach in the bathroom and stink bug on the wall above our heads and my boyfriend had to kill it. The bathroom had burnt marks where someone been smoking and we don't smoke. One of our pillow cases and wash cloth had stains on it. The house keepers was nice but our stay was uncomfortable but you get what you pay for. We will not visit this motel again and didn't know we was in bad area of Charlotte.

The room itself was fine, but there was a large sticky stain on top of the dresser, which made it basically unusable. The bed was comfortable, but the sheets were starched and scratchy. This part of town is very noisy which made it very difficult to get to sleep. Since we were only there to get a few hours sleep before an early flight to Colorado, I would not stay there again for that reason. It was only about $60, so I got what I paid for I guess. Also, no coffee available until exactly 6 a.m.

It was cheap. The outside had been freshly painted. The room appeared clean but I did get a few bed bug bites! The other reviews are accurate. Lots of tough looking customers and cars in and out all day and night. Drug deals? I felt very unsafe. Would not stay again.

if you're homeless this might be a step down. I'm pretty sure this place is a prime candidate for being robbed at gunpoint point or bring little critters home with you. the ceiling is in such decrepit shape that I'm pretty sure local scumbags have cameras hidden in the mold.
