Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its prime location, particularly for events at the Spectrum Center, and the friendly, helpful staff. However, there are consistent complaints about the valet parking service, cleanliness issues in some rooms, and the high cost of parking.
- Prime location, especially for events at the Spectrum Center
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Valet parking service issues
- Cleanliness concerns in some rooms

I got the suite with a pullout bed, a kitchen area with a dishwasher, and a great view of the city. The room was clean, and the staff was amazing, from the valet to the front desk staff to the bartender. I went on a busy weekday due to a concert, and there were no issues. Would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
This is one of our favorite places to stay whenever we're in the city. The hotel consistently provides a comfortable and welcoming experience, making it our preferred choice. One of its greatest advantages is its excellent location—just a short walk from the Spectrum Center, which makes attending events both convenient and enjoyable. The combination of comfort, convenience, and accessibility keeps us coming back.

Great staff and clean rooms
- 3/5
The room was great. Lobby area was hot. No sir conditioning. Morning breakfast staff not that friendly. Hot items on the breakfast line the first day were cold. Not appetizing. Front desk went above and beyond. Housekeepers were very friendly and helpful. Did not see management walking around. Just ok experience.

Great service!! Great location and great staff! I love this hotel. The rooms are spacious and accommodating
- 1/5
This hotel is not an 8.8 excellent. The rooms smelled of Marijuana. The bathroom had oily substance, urine, around the toilet b ok wl and brown on the bottom of the shower. The staff was nice. Breakfast was not good. Also remember it does cost $50 a night to park with the valet. No food or bar service after 9pm even though it was advertised to be open till 11pm. Better choices in the area.
- 5/5
The issue we had was that it was extremely hot in the lobby, you couldn’t even enjoy breakfast. Milk was warm.
- 3/5
Rooms are starting to show age. Lots of mold and mildew in bathroom shower and floor caulking. This hotel is in desperate needs of a refresh.

The bathroom floor felt sticky, but everything else in the room was clean. The area is just rough now, very close to the bus station and honestly we didn’t feel too safe walking around.

The property’s location was perfect for my trip. I was in town for a concert, and the close proximity to the Spectrum Center made getting to and from the event extremely convenient. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and close to restaurants and attractions. I was pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade upon arrival, and the valet service was seamless. The only issue I experienced was that the air conditioning in our suite was not working properly. Maintenance did not respond as quickly as expected. However, the front desk staff was very empathetic, professional, and worked to make the situation right, which I greatly appreciated.

Everything is fantastic and I had a wonderful time there. Your Staff member Daruis was very pleasant and made sure I had everything I needed.
- 5/5
Spacious and clean rooms, beautiful views, and the friendliest hotel staff we’ve ever experienced.
- 2.5/5
Hotel seemed fine though hot in the lobby bar area I paid and was confirmed for a room with two queen beds and was advised upon arrival. They only had room rooms with a king and pullout sofa. That means one person in our party had to make their own bed on a sofa bed and sleep terribly. Would not say at this location again for this reason. They know how many rooms with double queens they have; over booking should be a non-issue.
- 5/5
Great staff very friendly and informative. Nothing
- 1.5/5
proximity to restaurants and events the a/c was out downstairs and it was hot in the hotel lobby. The room was old and out dated, the water didnt get hot enough, the mattress was old and tattered
- 5/5
This is a very nice hotel. The staff were very helpful and professional. The only thing I could say that would have been nicer is a bigger pool. It is very small. And there were no lounge chairs. But still a very nice experience.
- 3/5
The air conditioning in the common areas wasn't working. It wasn't possible to use the gym, and we certainly didn't feel like hanging out at the hotel bar. The best thing about the hotel is its location. The cleanliness leaves something to be desired.

The staff were friendly and the location was excellent. We were in the heart of uptown so everything was in walking distance or short drive. The fact that the property’s room are old and out dated. Baseboards coming apart, older model tv’s so no app options, electrical box in room. Half the power in the room went out so had to reset the electrical panel. Parking was $55 per day.
- 4.5/5
Friendly staff and valet, good buffet style breakfast with many options. The pool was a little small, we had 2 boys who wanted to swim but there was a lot of people sitting around the edge and it smelled like weed.
- 5/5
Great location, close to everything Parking was a little steep
- 5/5
Great city view. Everything within walking distance.
- 4/5
Staff was great, promote immediately. Rooms were ok, bathrooms were okish. There was still mildew on the bottom of the tubs, the sink drained very slowly and the AC unit had a terrible rattle. But overall the stay was decent. Would we come back yea, but it wouldn't be our first choice.

I went to a concert at the spectrum center. This hotel is right next door in walking distance. This is a perfect location. The hotel room was clean, staff friendly, there was a buffet style free breakfast and a bar. I had not utilize all the amenities on site such as the pool or gym but I was told about them. I would definitely visit again and recommend this hotel.

I loved the proximity to the Spectrum Center and a few eateries. The property is clean and the valet staff was efficient and knowledgeable of the area. The cleaning staff left behind a towel used for cleaning AND the previous lodgers towel on the shower curtain rack. It makes one feel that the cleaning isn’t thorough.

If you don't get the parking pass you have to pay for valet parking at $55 a day, plus valet tips everytime you take your car out. There's a sign to validate your parking but they only validate if you get the parking package and prepay.

The experience was great! The staff were so friendly upon arrival. The only issue we had was with parking. They have a parking garage but it’s valet only. I ended up paying over $50 for a day of parking just so I could have our car near the hotel. There was parking across the street but it was full. The room was amazing! The little kitchenette would be great for longer stays! It included a full size fridge, a small cooktop, microwave, sink, and mini dishwasher. All dishes, glassware, and silverware were there too. Our bed was nice and firm and it was nice and clean. The covers were just enough and we didn’t get too hot or cold. For a girls night it was perfect! I’ll remember this hotel for when I come back to Charlotte again. There were lots of food delivery available and our Ubers were able to find us very easily. We were like a few minutes drive to the Ovens Auditorium which is where we went for the night. Highly recommend this room!

This hotel had potential but it was alarmingly dirty; from the chairs in the lounge to the shower. The rooms are bigger than a standard hotel room and the Kitchen was a nice addition, but was also dirty(drawers and stocked items need a serious deep clean)
- 2/5
The staff is polite and ready to fix problems. The hospitality is GREAT, even though unfortunately that can’t be in the context of a beautiful hotel. Hyatt has gone down hill for some years. This is yet another hotel with dirty floors, and no running hot water, well at least not for the many attempts I made. Anyway, at least this location doesn’t have roaches like the other one did.i appreciate the amazing customer service. It’s almost like they know it’s not the greatest but they still show up with good service to try to make up for it. I appreciate that.

Staff was amazing. Room not so much. It was renovated double queen room. the TV way in the corner of the room so only one bed could see TV. Also they changed to toddler sized pillows. We went to the front desk and got normal size pillows. Love the staff and the location. Hoping we don’t get that room again

Room was not super clean and had items not in working condition - iron and microwave.

Check-in was supposed to be at 3 o’clock, but our room was not ready till 5:30. Had to pay an additional $55 for valet parking however they didn’t have anyone available to drive a stick shift so I had to park myself. Staff was pleasant, however, I would not recommend.
- 3.5/5
Great location and convenient next to the concert venue. I booked a handicap accessible room for my mother who is in a wheelchair, and while the sink could accommodate the wheelchair, there was only a shower with no seating for her to shower. There was also a sign on the valet for a charge of $42/day parking and we were charge $55 before taxes after checkout.

Everything was great. I did not understand I had to pay for parking at $55 for one night. I was told parking was beside the hotel and it was. I spoke to several of the staff but they said parking is separate from the hotel. But I did not understand it to cost $55. No one could help me because they kept saying it was separate from the hotel. If possible we would like to receive all or part of the parking cost back.

Great location for lodging if you're going to an event at the Spectrum Center. Walking distance to Spectrum Center is literally 1 minute.
- 1/5
Location was great, room was clean, check in was quick, but the entire stay was ruined thanks to valet service on site that you are REQUIRED to use. Had someone with the valet go through my vehicle and steal cash. All the items in my center console were miss-arranged, change (from where my cash was located) was all on my floorboard that I know was not there before, and the girl who answered the phone when I called to report, as I realized all this several miles down the road after I left, laughed at my report. Manager of the valet service did call to give back my valet fee of $55 but because there was no video evidence there was no proof. Not what I expected out of a Hyatt.
- 5/5

Upon arrival the receptionist was phenomenal! She was extremely informative, pleasant and knowledgeable. The room was clean I did like that! The walls were dirty…though breakfast ends at 9:30. I went at 9 & it was soooo cold. I advised staff member named Heaven and she was so kind. She immediately got the staff to bring down a microwave. I wasn’t too happy about having cold breakfast. Also parking is not included in your stay. It’s $45-$47 a day to park…honestly. They didn’t have a rooftop like a previous Hyatt. For the money I wasn’t overall satisfied with my stay. The staff were nice and courteous.

Unfortunately, when I returned to my room from a night out, my door was unlatched (maybe faulty door latch?) Made me feel weird since I remembered making sure it was shut before leaving (and DND tag was on door handle). After a thorough check of the room, I lied down and the AC struggled to cool the room, making it hard for me to fall asleep. If I had called downstairs I’m sure the great staff would have made their best efforts to remedy the situation but it was late and I just dealt with it. Only mentioning issues here so the next guests won’t have the same problems. The only other thing I would mention is that there is no self-parking -you have to valet and I found it on the steep side ($55 before tip). As a consumer, I believe if the Hilton charged less, it would encourage more tips for the drivers.

Room was ok, ice machine broke, but didn’t know I had to pay $55.00 for parking.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Excellent staff and room.
- 2/5
There was no heat in our rooms we were first in one room with no heat only to be moved to another room where the heat was going in and out
- 5/5
Great location .will be my go to when I come to events going forward .Loved the look of the hotel along with cleanliness.Everyone had great customer service from valet/check in/out to dinner
- 5/5
Nice staff clean hotel friendly
- 5/5
The room was great and hotel was clean
- 5/5
Great experience! Staff were very helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 3/5
The hotel is okay, it has good location in regards being close to everything however the parking situation is wild to me and it’s valet only. Very difficult for newcomers to know where to go when arriving in personal vehicle. Staff was alright I guess, weren’t very welcoming just kinda there doing their job. Breakfast was average. I’d give this place 3 stars only cause of location. Just my personal experience!
- 5/5
It’s a great hotel, friendly staff very helpful
- 5/5
The lobby employees was really nice
- 3/5
Darius was extremely
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly and the hotel was super clean and inviting
- 5/5
Awesome
- 3/5
Three big downs were: Advertised price for parking was $42 here in Expedia, but in fact it is $50-55. The bar lounge was closed. Christmas or not it should be open in a hotel, especially like Hyatt. The pool was absolutely freezing, heating did not work. But the price was the same as everything works. Room was clean, good bed, good pillows.
- 5/5
Clean room, great staff
- 4/5
The room was clean and nice. The air conditioner was just a little loud. Breakfast was great and so are the staff. I just hated I was forced to used valet parking and it cost $50 for 1 night and I didn’t ask for my car till we left so not extra trips were requested. Just wish I had the option for cheaper parking.
- 5/5
Excellent place to stay for vacation or business. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed it very much! Front desk staff were very friendly and greeted us each time we came through the doors. Very clean and great centralized location. Would definitely stay here again.
- 2/5
Valet was $57 for one night. Check in was easy. The room itself was clean and smelled good. The worst thing was the ac/heater sounded like a truck it was so loud. The sink did not drain, which is gross. The pillows are too small. Probably won’t stay here again.
- 4/5
Very courteous staff to welcome us at the counter. Some grime in the corners of our bathroom and an overall "wearing out " of the general state of the condition of our room. Good breakfast options and the morning staff were really hustling to make things right and to replenish food. Overall nice stay.
- 3/5
The property was a little dirtier than I expected. The floor was coming apart in the elevator, and there were several patched, unpainted places in our room. The lobby smelled like weed when we returned from our event. There was dirt around the shower, and it smelled like they had sprayed to try and mask a smell .
- 4/5
Hotel was great, was not happy about the $55 dollar suprise charge to park at the hotel I had already paid for
- 3/5
One immediately sees the long jagged crack in the lobby floor and a carpet that is very old and faded.
- 5/5
Room was spotless. Only downside, they didnt have room keys upon checkin. We had yo wait until somebody was able to get some.
- 5/5
Completely keeping them in my list for stays in Charlotte!! Staff was amazing! Food at the bar was great and the drink worth it if you don’t want to go out. Rooms stayed clean and can’t forget the beautiful view!!!
- 5/5
Will stay there again.
- 1/5
They had us booked for a regular room and a suite, I paid for two suites. Our party was split up on different floors. Restaurant had a very limited menu. Valet system is a disaster. Rooms are outdated, mold in grout in bathrooms. I would not pay more than a hundred for a suite-which is what we stayed in. The location was near spectrum stadium-which is what we wanted. Not a great experience. Front desk was not great.
- 5/5
Room was very clean and all the staff were very friendly.
- 5/5
Everything was top-notch. Clean rooms, friendly staff, secure building and great drinks!
- 5/5
Beautiful, clean room on upper floor with a skyline view. Very comfortable bed. Two downfalls, however, are the limited area to walk our dog and there were no usb charging stations in the room. Despite these minor inconveniences, I would stay there again if I ever need to return to Charlotte.
- 5/5
Room was large and very well equipped Note regarding microwave, when the timer buzzes, you have to push the unlock button before pushing the open button on the door
- 5/5
Clean, modern, great location
- 5/5
Our only issues are with Expedia not the Hyatt!!
- 5/5
I loved everything about my stay. The front desk people were friendly and helpful. I overslept for check out and they gave me a later time. The decor in the lobby was beautiful & the breakfast options were amazing and tasted great! Definitely my favorite place to stay in charlotte!
- 5/5
The room was spotless. It was nore spacious than expected. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
- 1/5
Had to wait 3 hours after my scheduled check in time of 3:00 to get my room. Terrible
- 3/5
I had to pay for a night that I wasn't there and couldn't get refunded for it. Also, we found a wrapper on the ground and a stain on the floor. Staff was nice though.
- 5/5
Room spacious and clean
- 4/5
Took a staycation for Thanksgiving. Very nice room. Definitely going back.
- 5/5
Room was spotless and the staff was professional and courteous.
- 3/5
We stayed here due to the proximity to the spectrum Center. I would recommend probably staying at one of the other hotels on the other side of the center. This hotels was around on what I would call the back side of the arena where a large bus station and some abandoned buildings are across the street so there was a lot of vagrancy when we walked out of the hotel. Another unsettling thing experienced while we were here is that right after checking in someone who presented themselves as working at the hotel came to check if room was occupied, and then as we were leaving, way before check out time, someone with a universal key came barging into the room but we had security lock on the door. When asking him why he was coming in the room he spoke little English to explain himself. It’s hard to say if this is really incompetence or nefarious but it was unsettling either way and seems like a security issue. On top of that the mattress and pillows were dreadful, and you have to pay to valet park with no other good option. Would not recommend. Breakfast was good and facilities were clean tho.

10/10 hotel. Goat Breakfast buffet.
- 1/5
Coming from out of town to enjoy a hotel I previously loved, this was extremely stressful and completely ruined my trip. No one expects to pay twice for a weekend getaway or have their money tied up without explanation. To make matters worse, the valet incorrectly tagged my car, and when I requested it, I was told my vehicle had already been taken out. Only later did they discover that the number in the system did not match the tag on my car. This added even more confusion and frustration during an already stressful stay. Because of these issues, I can’t even give a fair review of the actual room—the check-in process and valet experience overshadowed everything. My trip was essentially ruined due to the multiple incorrect charges, lack of accountability, and lack of support from hotel staff I am truly unhappy and extremely disappointed with this experience.
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
Great room and great location!
- 1/5
Nasty facility, not well kept. Bathrooms were disgusting, gym was disgusting. Would never stay here again
- 2/5
Everything was good until it was time for a shower water was lukewarm for two days. Front desk was advised
- 5/5
Clean room. Staff was pleasant and helpful.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great. Service was amazing, and the room was perfect
- 4/5
Room OK boy in the best shape...a little wear and tear. Staff was great. Free breakfast was great.
- 5/5
The room was clean, staff was very nice, breakfast was nice but did not have turkey or chicken products like sausage or bacon.
- 4/5
The lady who checked us in, I think her name was Adriana, was also really nice. Only giving four stars because of the man who was at the desk when we left and seemed bothered and not useful in answering the one question I had. Would 100% return if not for him.
- 3/5
We always stay here when in town for an event at the Spectrum center. Hotel staff is always great and helpful. But per usual, the valet staff here is absolutely AWFUL. Checked in around 3pm Thursday, no one came to us, we had to walk up to them. Didn’t explain rates or info, just took our name and rode off. The valet who looked like he was in charge( had on a charlotte hornets beanie, didn’t get his name) didn’t even attempt to help or assist. For $65 a night to park, I’d expect more. The whole valet staff needs more training.
- 2/5
Check in at 3pm…. arrived at 3:30 only to be told room not ready. While forced valet parking just took our car and had no choice but to stand in lobby with our belongings. Customer service then said “room just opened up” but next to elevator. Our choices were wait in lobby with all our luggage or take room next to elevator. Not a great way to start our stay.
- 5/5
Room was very clean.
- 5/5
This was the perfect hotel for any event at the Spectrum Center! It’s literally 2-3 doors down. I stayed on the 16th floor and it was so peaceful. And every front desk employee was very nice and helpful.
- 1/5
I walked in room and the sofa bed was pulled out pillows was everywhere the cabinets was pulled out like the room wasn’t ready for stay I had to call down twice to get housekeeping and they just asked me to switch rooms.
- 3/5
Room was great but not what wanted. I asked to be on 9 - 12 floor. I was 16 floor. I specifically asked to be on side with night time city view. My room overlooked a parking garage being, men working loud, equipment noisy and a crane very large and tall next to room view. So yes room was great, nice amenities but overall disatisfied
- 4/5
Good view
- 3/5
The parking procedures are not clearly stated on the website. They do not give the option to park your own car. Valet is the only option and it is over priced.
- 5/5
Everytbing about where I said was awesome. Definitely would stay there again
- 5/5
Great experience.
- 3/5
One of the elevators wasn't working. There was no signage or mention of it. Staff was friendly if you spoke to them. It was an average experience.
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable. All staff were very nice and helpful. Wonderful stay.
- 5/5
Great hotel! Staff was very friendly. Room was very clean. Anything you need is within walking distance from the hotel. Will definitely stay here again.
- 1/5
Di
- 5/5
It was great it was close center spectrum spectrum
- 5/5
Everything was excellent
- 4/5
On the website it says valet parking offered, which made me think there was an option to park your own car at the destination.
- 4/5
Only issue was only having 1 elevator in service at the hotel, with as many occupants staying it was a nightmare waiting 10-15 mins each time to go up or down. Valet was quick and very friendly.
- 5/5
Conveniently located next door to the Spectrum center. The front desk staff was kind and filled us in on what was available downtown for activities. Their breakfast being free is convenient and it's decent. Definitely a great location as well. Valet was a breeze.
- 5/5
Room was nice and clean. Check in was super easy.
- 5/5
Clean room. Great service. Speedy valet.
- 4/5
The room was very nice and clean. The only negative was that the water would not get hot when showering, only lukewarm.
- 1/5
There was overnight consruction right outside of the hotel and where my corner room was that I paid more for. I didn’t sleep at all. I wish someone had mentioned there would be construction considering I work weekends and had to work the next day.
- 5/5
Room was clean and the staff was very pleasant!
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly and personable!
- 1/5
Had to wait HOURS to get on our room, We always stay at AC, and we wanted to try something different But the AC hotel would have NEVER put us through that and if they did they would have MADE IT RIGHT!!!!!!!! Never again with this, if I could go to the news station I would, was really disappointing for this first experience with this hotel…. If they would have seem like they cared, this review wouldn’t be so harsh, but my time was wasted, and again AC WOULD Have NEVER put us through that!!!!
- 4/5
Found someone else’s sock in floor ,way over priced
- 5/5
Staff was incredible!
- 5/5
So convenient and right next to our venue! Definitely worth every penny!
- 2/5
Hotel is nice but they charged $57 to park for 1 night.
- 4/5
Room 419: shower curtain was very old, rusted hooks. Felt dirty. Room smelled like body odor.
- 3/5
Overall nice stay however I was unaware that the property was vallet only at $55/day.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff. Steps away from the spectrum center
- 1/5
They would mint reimburse me. Shame on the them
- 5/5
Room was really nice. Clean and very well kept.
- 4/5
Great location for the event we were attending
- 3/5
I got there at check-in time (3:00) and was told my room type wasn't ready because they were sold out the night before so all the rooms weren't cleaned yet. I was told it would be a little bit and they would text me when my room was ready. After an hour of not receiving a text, I went to the front desk and asked how much longer it would be. The girl at the desk said if you give me your ID I can get you a key for a room. So they let me continue to sit in the lobby waiting for a room that had been ready for who knows how long. I wonder how long I would have continued to sit and wait if I hadn't went to the front desk to inquire. This is unacceptable and disrespectful of people's time. I paid a lot of money for my room and made the reservation over 3 months in advance and I still had to wait over an over past check-in time to get a room. And of course I wasn't offered any compensation. I will not be back.
- 5/5
There was construction outside our window but it won’t always be like that
- 4/5
Upon check in I was told the room needed to be inspected and I would receive a text once that was done. I waited 45 minutes then went back up to the front desk and asked about the room which I was told it was ready. There were about 40 other people that were told the same thing about receiving a text when their room was ready and no one received a text. I believe check in could have been a smoother process.
- 5/5
Impeccably clean and comfortable. The room was spacious and made us feel right at home
- 5/5
Terrific location. Beautiful room.
- 5/5
Kitchen was clean and just enough.
- 2/5
Not sure if there was some speed racing going on but 3am there loud cars going back and forth all night. We arrive they say valet is mandatory we have to use it.(Exact words from the valet attendant) Valet stated they were using a new system and charge is double than what was discussed when we arrived at check in. Check out was at 12noon. Why at 11 we get a text saying they are about to be charged for another day for valet when it wasn’t check out time. When we talk to the valet manager he says that he cant go into the system and fix it and we were forced to pay it so we can get out car. Overall I didn’t have a great experience. I honestly don’t think I will be coming back.
- 5/5
Easy access, very very comfortable beds and pillows.
- 4/5
The property was overall very nice.
- 4/5
The room was clean, the hallways smelled fresh and the staff at check in/out was helpful. The valet parking staff were nice and quick, $42. I wish the restaurant/bar was open later than 10pm. Would have been a better option than walking around outside of the hotel. Several people sleeping and panhandling outside was a turnoff for the neighborhood so we stayed in.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay
- 5/5
Very welcoming
- 4/5
The breakfast was good and the staff were very accommodating.
- 5/5
Pleasant peaceful quiet stay. Shaya at the front desk was more than helpful. Me and my companions want to make sure she received recognition
- 5/5
The place was very clean all around! Very convenient spot for uptown charlotte with a restaurant right across the street! The staff was super nice and helpful! Including the valet service!
- 5/5
Excellent hotel. Spacious room. Delicious snack foods and friendly bartemder. Only reason for 4 star comfort is bed was too soft for me but i prefer a very firm bed.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 5/5
The best thing for me was the breakfast, very good selection, really liked their french toast which I spread with yogurt, and their eggs and juices. When I asked to make sure my room was not near an ice machine, they gave me a room that was very quiet. I stayed for one night and give it a thumbs up.
- 5/5
Nice overall
- 5/5
Everything was nice including house keeping. Never had to ask for clean towels.
- 4/5
The room was spacious, but had a smell . It was an unclean smell. The space to eat breakfast was limited and not very tidy. The seats an counter top that we sat at was very sticky.
- 4/5
Good breakfast, comfortable bed, diner across the street. Didn't like only valet parking and hearing the noisy street all hours of the night.
- 5/5
Staff were friendly and courtesy . The room was clean and the breakfast was great. Will visit again
- 3/5
They key reader doesn’t work on elevators or the side door, people parking their cars on the sidewalk in the front and side, urine on the side, no greenery, no grass, no pet areas
- 4/5
Staff was friendly- however seemed to be short staffed as it took over 2 hours and going personally to get a broken iron replaced. They also had no extra pillows when asked.
- 4/5
was not crazy about design of room. too tight where dresser & tv were
- 5/5
Our stay is an annual Falcons vs Panthers visit to Charlotte. The Hyatt House is always our only choice while visiting the Queen City. The front desk staff (Marlene) was top notch. She made us feel very welcomed to our favorite hotel. Cleanliness was definitely 10/10. Our stay is always pleasant, safety is of no concern, breakfast was great and valet’s Eddie & Jermaine awesome! I recommend the Hyatt House anytime you visit Charlotte.
- 5/5
Everything was clean, the staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing, the bartenders were very nice, the room was excellent. 10/10, would definitely recommend!!
- 5/5
Very nice place
- 4/5
Everything about my stay was great, except the parking. It was $42 for valet parking. there was only off property parking other than valet. That didn't bother me. My complaint comes from the fact i was charged the $42 by the hotel and then an additional fee by the parking group. I find the arrangement shady. Be upfront on the total cost of the parking. Say it will be $55, let me charge it to the room and let the hotel pay the $13 to the parking group. To make it clear, this isn't a complaint about $13. This is a complaint about transparency.
- 5/5
looks good so far
- 4/5
Stayed for 1 night. Climate control was a little sketchy. Unaware i would have to pay $30 for parking, but the property is adjacent to Hornets stadium, so go figure, I guess
- 4/5
The syay was overall good. We used vallet parking which iverall it didn't work for us. This was our first stay here so we didn't know that there was no parking. So when we needed to get something out of our vehicle the thought of waiting for someone to give us our key was inconvenient for us, other tgan that we love the location because we were able to walk to restaurants. I would recommend but will definitely let them know about the parking.
- 5/5
Great location
- 3/5
Valet workers were outstanding but in street is a sorry place
- 5/5
Not the best valet situation
- 5/5
Water pressure in sinks and toilet was very low, other than that, out stay was good. Right in the middle of everything.
- 4/5
Really great hotel located in the city center, close to everything. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast buffet. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Definitely will stay here again.
- 4/5
Would stay again
- 5/5
We stayed 1 night with family and it was nice without any problem.Only Parking chanrge is $42/night and this was extra. Hotel should check if they can include that with stay and not extra on top of hotel tariff.
- 5/5
Loved the proximity to Uptown.
- 5/5
We couldn’t access our room for 1-1/2 hours because the fire alarm system prevented the elevators from working. We had to stay in the lobby. However, we were given a complimentary drink from the bar.
- 3/5
Overall the stay went well. It was only one night. The pool is very tiny. Seems like a kiddie pool, the guy at the front desk said that’s how most hotel pools in Charlotte are. I wasn’t expecting to pay an extra $45 for parking. It’s basically the only option they have. But the Valet guys were nice and always on time.
- 5/5
The hotel is well-kept and has clean and comfortable rooms.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
Great location
- 1/5
Check in was at 4pm didn’t arrive until after 5pm room door was partially open (no explanation) AC was not cooling switched to another room for the same thing to be happening. Fans in lobby area. Hotel bar was closed which was not disclosed on website or during check in. Valet misplaced key and front desk called my room asking if I had the key.
- 2/5
I was surprised this hotel had received so many excellent reviews. I thought it was a little bit rundown from wear and tear. The bar was only open Friday night. It was closed for the rest of this day. Breakfast was OK. Coffee was hot. The bed was clean and comfortable, but the carpet had not been vacuumed well. the bathrooms needed a better scrubbing. The price was reasonable. The location was good. Parking is very expensive at the hotel and also in the lot, but we felt safe and the area was walkable.
- 5/5
Amazing Stay!
- 5/5
I wish more dining options
- 5/5
Friendly staff, great breakfast, great bar drinks and very clean.
- 5/5
Great location with a very friendly staff.
- 3/5
Noisy area from the street Bathroom not really clean
- 5/5
The staff were all friendly and kind! The atmosphere was inviting and smelled fresh and clean and our room was lovely!
- 4/5
I liked the rooms and staff and valet parking great
- 5/5
I can not thank everyone enough for all the care I was given. Breakfast Mama God bless you always. Best staff ever, valet young man was so polite and helped me while waiting for taxi. One of my BEST stays ever anywhere. 5 Stars to you all!!! Stand up and be proud of yourself. You are doing an amazing job
- 3/5
Clean
- 4/5
Cons: Didn't have hotel parking that was available with the hotel - except for valet parking. Had to park across the street and pay an all day fee. - Pool was super small and very cold. Overall: 8/10 : Would stay here again!!
- 5/5
Just stay at this hotel was absolutely phenomenal. The staff was very friendly and very inviting the area was pretty OK. I will say if you were looking for a great great meal definitely check out the diner across the street. They’re 24 hours the drinks at the bar and the breakfast in the morning was great when changed nothing however I will say parking is very difficult throughout the whole entire area, so go ahead on and put that in your budget to park at the location, over all, I will stay there again.
- 1/5
The staff was very very friendly. However the smell upon entering was not good. We could not stay there and a huge rat in the valet area roaming around
- 5/5
Only inconvenience was that alarm went off at 4 am and did t go off till 9
- 5/5
I stay at this Hyatt every 3 months and Shaya is always a doll. Love her to bits
- 5/5
Everything was good. Very quiet
- 4/5
Quiet and comfortable bed. Property a bit older not immaculate
- 5/5
Nice place to stay
- 4/5
I had a wonderful breakfast, and the room was clean. The customer service was excellent.
- 5/5
I was very pleased with this visit. The receptionist was kind and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. We only stayed for one night but it was very peaceful.
- 4/5
They did have a bar and some food but it was not open all of the time which was disappointing. Room was comfortable but only cleaned once or twice in 7 days. We had a hard time getting towels out having the trash emptied. Breakfast was great!
- 5/5
I liked the hospitality of the crew, the friendly staff and the clean room daily. I would love to stay there again and to recommend it to everyone.
- 5/5
Staff was always there and professional
- 4/5
The carpet was torn in the room and needs fixed to prevent falls. Overall room was in good condition.
- 5/5
Beautiful on the inside, spacious, great views, convenient. Loved it
- 3/5
Other than the very strong odor of cleaning chemicals, the room was ok. But the smell was horrible and bothered my allergies and made sleep difficult. Didn't try to change rooms since every room gets cleaned. We did check out the very small pool. Water was oddly cloudy. Didn't really want to go in.
- 5/5
Fabulous staff!
- 3/5
Breakfast was fine.
- 5/5
Great location in the heart of charlotte but not in the mess..
- 4/5
This property felt a little outdated but overall nice stay. Valet was easy and quick. Pictures of "rooftop" area a little deceiving.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Breakfast was basic
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Love it
- 5/5
Great place good location but most important the staff was amazing and super nice
- 5/5
Rooms were comfortable and nice. Great Location to get around City Center. Thank you.
- 5/5
Great support staff
- 3/5
Every Hyatt is drastically different and the quality of service varies.
- 4/5
It was a very nice stay. I was overcharged for valet parking that is $42 per day. I did dispute with the hotel which may take up to 14 or more business days to rectify. Pool is very small. Other than that everything was great and people were very nice.
- 4/5
This lobby and bar area was not very classy. Walked away from the bar. It was not a place I wanted to sit and socialize. There was no cold water in the room. Ice was hard to come by.
- 5/5
My stay was really nice
- 5/5
Only stayed one night. Def enjoyed my stay. Clean and the customer service was great!
- 5/5
It was immaculate, would recommend it for families with kitchenette
- 5/5
Don't have a room near an elevator.
- 3/5
The room layout was really nice. It had a refrigerator and microwave however the bathroom was really dirty. You could see dirt crusted up around the edges of the counter and shower. You have no other option but to pay the valet parking which is $42 over night each night. There is no free parking anywhere around the hotel. The commentary breakfast was really good they have a lot options for breakfast. Overall it was okay for a nights stay.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 2/5
Never again
- 4/5
Hotel parking is only by valet at $42 per night. Closest self parking deck is 2 blocks away.
- 3/5
Had to call 2 days in a row to get our room cleaned and they never showed up. Called front desk and took 1 hour to bring towels up to the room. Front desk staff is not friendly. Pool does not have lay flat seats only chairs. Fire alarm went off at 12:00am everyone had to evacuate, then went on again at 4:00am and then 7:00am water was brown after that.
- 5/5
The hotel staff was great especially Shaya. She was so accommodating, very professional and answered all of our questions. The breakfast staff were really nice and kept everything clean and stocked.
- 5/5
Excellent property and the staff was great.
- 4/5
- 5/5
Everything from staff to ppl around were nice and polite.very clean rooms and pool
- 1/5
Pool area doesn’t have lounge chairs.
- 5/5
The space was not smelly and smelled very clean. The bathroom was clean, but I feel as though it could have been cleaned a bit deeper around the calk on the bottom of the glass door(we had a walk-in shower which was huge). The morning breakfast was very tasty and plentiful, they also allow you to take a plate up to your room or eat in the cafeteria area which is very posh. All in all I rate my stay a 8/10, 2 point could have been given if the shower was given a deeper clean.
- 4/5
Walking distance to all was great. Didn’t like the fact that it was difficult to flush the toilet and also the TV remote control didn’t work.
- 4/5
I liked the staff they were very kind. Especially during the free breakfast. I didn’t like how my comforter had brown makeup stains.
- 4/5
Amazing will do it again
- 5/5
My stay here was perfect. If you book here, I would advise to get valet the service was great.
- 5/5
Easy check in and close to all the restaurants and entertainment.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
My boyfriend and I LOVED this place. The check in was effortless and the valet is a nice touch. The location is ideal. We were so close to uptown we decided to walk around and do some sight seeing. The room itself was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our vacation here.
