    The elevators were down when we started our stay. The hotel staff were not sympathetic. The only room was available on the 6th floor! I’ve never stayed anywhere that none of the elevators worked. Only could take the stairs?!? Never will I chose any Hyatt Place!

    Breakfast was good. There were different options each day. On the last day of our stay, someone spilled something sticky on the steps that lasted from the 3rd level to the ground floor.... We had to clean our shoes once we got outside. Also, the higher the floor, the steeper the steps. Overall, it was an OK stay. Cleanliness and staff were great, amenities....... Eh.

    It is very clean and breakfast is included. You do have to pay $50 deposit The elevator is down and has been for a month so be aware if you have a disability. We didn't know until check-in.

    So we arrived at 2:30, weren't given any grave for broken-elevator's sake, and didn't get my room card til 3:15. Carrying luggage took a good while also: didn't get to relax until close to 4pm. Quite pissed off I was.

    The breakfast was good All of the elevators in the building were out of order. We stayed on the fourth floor and had to walk up and down the stairwells. Our room had a musty smell and was definitely not cleaned properly. There were multiple eyelash extensions in different areas of the room that obviously had not been cleaned properly. Disgusting

    First off, my experience would’ve been a 10/10 had the elevators had been working. My room was placed on the fifth floor, meaning I had to walk up and down the stairs as an asthmatic. Honestly, it was ridiculous. Oh, and breakfast? You’re better off just finding a spot around the hotel, because they didn’t have many options. Hopefully they’ll improve in the future.

    When we checked in the clerk asked “Did they tell you about the elevator? Oh they didn’t? It’s not working.” It was 11:00 PM and we ended up walking up to the 5th floor. It was 89 degrees out and the stairwell was not air conditioned. Got into my room and had to listen to someone fighting in another room off a con for hours. At about 1:30 AM the street racing began. Some of the racers pulled into the back parking lot revving their engines and taking off and returning minutes later. This went on for over an hour. While this was happening people were in the stairwell running up and down. We checked out a day early. It was a frightening horrible experience!

    Pool and breakfast were awesome! But very little seating in the breakfast area made for awkward eating for our family of 6. Not knowing that the elevators were out before checking in was very disappointing, especially as we ended up on the 4th floor.

    We stayed here during Memorial Day weekend, the elevators didn't work and they put us on the 3rd floor. I have a handicap friend who had an horrible time going up the stairs. It's like we couldn't even leave the room to avoid the steps. And they said it wouldn't be fixed until after we leave. Horrible. I usually love Hyatts but I will not be staying here again!!!

    Andrea was amazing. This place not only had a great host when you arrive but they have amazing drinks. Andrea even gave my dog Jackson a dog treat ;^) I would recommend here and I’ll see them on my return trip! Thanks Andrea!

The cleaning lady was so loud talking in her language in the dining area at 8:30 am with her phone on FaceTime and speaker. Speaking Spanish. Everyday. Just rude. The facilities are going down. Getting older. Need updates. Everything is braking. From beds to showers and you can tell they didn’t change bedding.

    Not impressed that I was told to wait for a shift change. Most professions would handle the guest in front of them. Room we booked was not available, so we were upgraded to a smaller room? Had a handicap guest, no working elevator, and put on the 5th floor.

    The staff was great. The room was very nice. It surprised me after seeing the lobby. The room looked like it was updated and was very roomy. Upon arrival there were 10-12 individuals needing to check in. No clean rooms available. Elevator was broken. Only steps available throughout the entire visit. Breakfast wasn't able to keep up with the demand. No blow dryer in our room.

    Elevators broken, check-in was late. Everyone had to use stairs. Could barely get into bathroom! Toilet was right at the door!! Some staff were stressed and just plain rude. But I did like roominess of our quarters and breakfast was good. Extremely noisy to sleep from cars racing down the road all night until 3 am!!

    Hotel wasn’t as clean as the pictures. And the elevator was broken during my stay and they would only put me on the 5th or 6th floor. Only stayed one night and didn’t go back even though I had Another night’s reservation while I was In town. One person manning the front desk and a line out the door to check in was also inconvenient. Would not stay again.

    The staff was great. The lady at the bar was so pleasant and accommodating. The property was clean and well kept. The pillows were extremely soft and flat. I wish there was a third trash can inside the bathroom and a shower stool for balance when shaving. Granted I’m 60 with fibromyalgia but I don’t feel handicapped just yet, I may need a little help. And lastly , I move around at night and the sofa was very uncomfortable and way past time for replacement. I know these seem picky but I felt a need to express my opinion because most people don’t spend as much time in the room as I do , needing to rest during outings for meals or sightseeing. The overall stay was good and we appreciated having this hotel in a nice area but the traffic was extremely loud at night. I originally booked the Hyatt Place but learned upon arrival the elevators were out due to construction and took the free cancellation. I found your hotel on Booking and had a room in minutes. Thankfully you were across the street.

    Lock out my room (3) times the card to enter is bad. No one called to explain about the broke elevator nor offer to pay the money I paid back…nor was there an action plan in place to offer an another hotel. It’s was just terrible elderly people treated like this. I e were told the elevators were down since last Wednesday.

    The room was very bad, with no housekeeping service, extremely noisy, and the elevator was not working. People had to use the stairs, and the room curtain was not proper, which failed to block the outside light during the day and night. I have never experienced such horrible service, and nobody was listening. They promised to compensate me with free nights, but I didn't receive anything. I am reporting my bad experience.

    Checking in, the hotel couldn’t find my reservation but that was an easy fix. Room was clean and relaxing. The breakfast was good in my opinion. The only thing, the ELEVATOR is BROKE!!! You won’t find out until checking in. I had to lug everything up to the 4TH FLOOR and be changed to 2 queens due to the KINGS were on the 5TH & 6TH FLOOR. That was terrible.

    The duvet on my bed was mildewy looking, the room smelled like urine when I first entered the room. The couch had the urinal smell to it, and the elevator was not working. Climbing those flights of stairs with a 48 lb suitcase was not my idea of a relaxing weekend in one of my favorite cities.Not a good experience

    Elevator was down but they gave me a free night at the Hyatt for anytime. Staff was nice. The bathroom had a hair I saw on the wall which disgust me but it was nothin to wipe off but still should’ve already been cleaned. Also saw a piece of hair on one of the small towels. Other than that room was nice and clean felt comfortable.

    All elevators were broken, rooms looked like they were mid-repair with chipped paint, exposed wood. The mattresses were too small for the bed slats, which left rusty slats exposed at ankle level. I cut my arm on one of them and repeatedly knocked into them with my feet.

    There was a cockroach in the room. The man came up quickly and removed it. It seemed he had done this before and didn’t seem surprised. They were at capacity and front desk told me we couldn’t move our rooms and didn’t seem surprised or offer any accommodations. The elevator was also broken which made lugging our bags up and down the stairs. Other than that the staff was friendly and helpful.

    My stay was not great overall. The elevator was not working, which made it a hassle having to go up to the third floor several times. On top of that, the key card gave me issues and did not work twice during my stay. The breakfast was good, and there was an ample amount of parking available, which were definite positives. However, due to the inconveniences, I would not stay here again.

    The hotel was very nice, but during my stay there was a major issue. The elevator was not working and apparently all the rooms on the low floors were taken. Which left me no choice but to search for another reservation at a different hotel or take the stairs. I thought it would be fine, but after the second time walking to the 5th floor, it got old.

    We reserved a room with two queen beds and a fold out couch with a microwave. Upon check in I was told the room I had booked wasn’t available. So they gave us a two full bed with fold out couch and no microwave. We had six people in our room and were only provided three towels and three washcloths. When my boyfriend went to ask the front desk for more we were told that the ground desk reception just put them in the dryer and to come back in 30 mins…it was already 10pm… to beat it all the elevators didn’t work while we were there and they put us on the fifth floor. We were told we could go somewhere else or they’d give me points for another stay…we couldn’t go somewhere else because it was time for bed and we had been at an amusement park all day. So we took the room and lugged our bags up five flights of stairs. The staff was friendly in all this mess and they did have a decent free breakfast. The room was clean, but had they emailed me about the elevators prior I would’ve tried to find somewhere else to stay.

    The room was clean and the staff was friendly. There was on site free parking that was convenient to the entrances. The biggest problem was the elevator was down and our room was on the 5th floor. As a consolation, the front desk attendant was going to enroll us in the Hyatt rewards program and we would receive 5,000 points. This was enough to receive 1 free night at a Hyatt. I have yet to receive any email informing me that I have been enrolled in the Hyatt rewards program.

    The day of my arrival, I called several times to see if I could get an early check-in, the last time I spoke with someone, the person ask if I had gotten an email letting me know that the elevator isn’t working. I hadn’t checked my email at that point so I couldn’t confirm. She told me that they were giving 5,0000 point = 1 night stay for the inconvenience. When I go to check-in, I was then told that I could’ve cancelled for free. I was not given that option on the phone and could have booked somewhere else, closer to where I was staying. Overall, the staff was good, friendly and accommodating, The room was also nice, but I would probably not book here again.

    The water in the shower ran hot to cold, it was opposite. 3 towels in out 6 person room. Staff was nice, but it seemed under staffed for the evenings and checkout morning. Breakfast was meh one day, better the next. Space was lacking in the breakfast lobby area = crowded and often ran out of items.

    Too many inconveniences. This is a renovated property!! The elevators were out of order, the breakfast was okay. Housekeeping “replaced towels” with not even a full set, we waited over an hr to get the light bulb changed in the bathroom. One “clean” towel we received was full of hair. They did offer free water due to the elevators being down though 🙂

    Both elevators broken the entire week, guests walking up and down 6 flights of stairs day after day. Only compensation was a note in the elevators saying they will give you a free bottle of water. Pool out of order. Hotel is run down, no coffee. Worst hotel experience I have ever had.

    The room was so spacious and clean upon entry. Our tub’s drain didn’t work properly and was a minor issue but did not ruin our stay. Breakfast was nice with a great variety, and the staff was very kind. The elevator wasn’t working properly during our stay, but again, the staff was kind and accommodating. I could tell that these things were not the norm and when we return to Charlotte, we will gladly stay again! It’s in a great location and was a great price.

    We checked into this hotel with the intention of using the pull out sofa bed in addition to the king bed. Upon checking into the room, we noticed the couch was profusely covered with stains and just downright filthy. I brought this to the attention of the front desk staff, and while they displayed empathy, instead of putting me into another room, I was offered the opportunity to join Hyatts loyalty program or pay the difference to upgrade to another room. Needless to say, I refused either and spent a rather uncomfortable night in the said room. I have stayed at Hyatt Places before with no issues, but this was downright disappointing.

    I was at the end of the hall two rooms away from the stairwell. One elevator was broken so alot of people used the stairs - the mechanism at the top of the door was broken so the door slammed every time it was used. This went on until after midnight every night. The kids across the hall thought it would be fun to kick my door at 11:45 pm - actually saw them do it through the peephole the second time. Staff came up and talked to them - they "didn't know" where their parents were or when they would be back. They said they "thought it would be fun" to do it. Other than these issues, the staff was great, the breakfast was amazing each day, and I used the gym too.

    When we arrived they did not have a king room available for us as that was the type of room we reserved. This was not good. We were offered a double bed room instead. There was only one elevator working. This last detail is what sent us away. The room appeared to be fairly clean. However, upon checking the bed, there was a silverfish insect in the bed and the mattresses were in bad shape. They were bloody and just disgusting! This was in both beds. There a stink bug inside laying on top the heat/ac unit. I returned back to the front desk to inform them of my findings. Initially we were going to see if we could switch rooms, but was told they had none available. This would have been our first time at the Hyatt Place. This was fine. We did not feel comfortable to sleep at the Hyatt Place anyway.

Hot options, fresh, and a very big variety (eggs, salsa, tortillas, hot oatmeal, fruits, pastries, bacon, etc).     The overall stay was great. The staff were very friendly. The shower water pressure was on point and the water stayed hot. We enjoyed the breakfast. The only problem that I had was anytime I moved on the bed the stand it was on squeaked really loud and rocked very easily. But all in all the stay was great.

    Free breakfast was cool expect for the fake bacon provided. Security came knocking on the door as he completed his rounds saying we were too loud and we were only laughing and had just arrived. Stayed for two days and no one came in to clean up, bring new wash clothes/towels or make bed. Only one elevator working for entire hotel. Overall good hotel just minor inconveniences.

    When I arrived, I was told that the original room that I booked was not available by the front desk. She was very rude. She tried to give a double queen room but it wouldn’t have been big enough for my husband and I. He’s 6’7 375 lbs….the gave me a handicap room which was very outdated. The room that i originally booked was more modern. The blanket was very dirty, I’ve never experienced something so dirty in my life.

    My boyfriend and I stayed in one of the renovated Standard King Rooms and it was a decent room for our weekend trip to Charlotte we took recently. Room & bathroom was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Nice perk if we wanted to eat something in the morning and not spend extra money on that. Some cons are that the lights are pretty dim and make the overall room seem darker, TV is not a smart TV where you can login to Netflix or Hulu. It only has local channels. We had to bring our own Chrome stick to connect to the TV to do that (based on past reviews). If you stay here and wanna watch lots of TV, bring a roku or chrome stick or HDMI chord for your laptop. There aren’t any microwaves in the rooms (at least the one we were in)…there is a communal one in the hotel lobby. We didn’t experience any car break ins during our stay thankfully as we were concerned reading other reviews. Just make sure to not have anything valuable in your car or any stray objects/trash visible in your car and you should be fine. Overall great location in Charlotte off the highway near the airport, Carowinds, and whatever else we wanted to do in Charlotte and was sufficient for what we needed and the price we paid was decent for the stay.

    It was clean and had good space for what we chose. Noticed the mattress was a bit soft/lumpy?? The shower/toilet area WAS a bit awkward to open & close to use, with the door location but we worked it out. The ONLY issue I really had was one of the elevators being out of service. When we got there we had to wait about 15 minutes for the one. But, we think it was really due to maintenance holding it up by holding the doors on each floor & mopping that area. We saw them when we FINALLY got on. No worries though, we will stay here again, lol.

    Room toilet did not work. Had to call maintenance 3 times but was still not fixed. First day we had no hot water in the shower. Front desk told us we could use a dirty room with warm water to shower if we wanted. That was shocking to me.

    Hotel was overbooked! Staff made little effort to assist, made the issue my problem. Asked to speak to the manager and was told the manager wasn't there. Arrived at 3:00 pm and didnt get my reserved room till 6:00 pm. We were late for our special event. We are Hyatt reward members and this is how we are treated! AWFUL

    We were in town to see Stevie Nicks in concert, and this location was convenient to the Spectrum Center. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. All the staff members we encountered were very friendly. The gentleman who checked us in (I'm sorry I didn't get his name.), was especially polite. The only issue we had was the iron in our room would not get hot. We will stay here next time we our in town for a concert.

    The layout of the room was different and cleverly designed almost like a mini apartment. A coffee bar with a place to set your suitcase on the opposite wall, nice sitting area with TV, small coat closet with hangars iron, and ironing board. The shower light is dim when first turned on but gradually brightens so you don't blinded if going to the bathroom in the middle of the night which was a nice touch. A variety of pillow types to choose from. Great sleeping.

    Disaster from the first moment, I walked in. First noticed stains on the sheet so I pulled the sheet up and in the photo below, you can see the stains on the mattress. Also hear everywhere underneath the mattress cover. Total room was in shambles and can't believe this place is not close down.

    Lobby was filthy. The lobby sofa seating area was covered in stains. The walk to the elevators was also very dirty. Floors unswept. Walls were deteriorating in areas, and had stains all over them. Only one elevator was working, and it was brutally slow. Thankfully the room was comfortable and clean.

    The hotel was not very clean. The showers were dirty, the comforter had mold growing on the inside, and 1 of 2 elevators was not working. When i advised the front desk about the comforter he stated it was just feathers on the inside (if you look at the picture you can tell it was NOT). Only reason it got more than 1 star is because the girl who checked us in was so kind and friendly!

    Only 1 elevator working. Requested a express clean including fresh towels and toilet paper. There were 4 of us in the room. Had double beds, no personal items were on them for cleaning person not to clean. Only 1 bed was cleaned, no clean towels, toilet paper not replaced. Breakfast was terrible. Refrigerator broke 2nd day we were there. They offered another room the next day b/c no rooms were available but we used the 2nd room refrigerator since we were leaving the following day. Staff were all very nice and helpful.

    Lot of cars got broken into and mines was one of them they broke the front and back passenger window took all item out the car. The hotel staff lucy didn't have any compassion for the circumstance and did not call the police and when the police ask to see the camera she told them they needed a warrant. She also sent us to a police station that was not in the jurisdiction.. It was a nightmare.. not safe and the hotel is ran down

    I booked two rooms at this property and 6 cars total including mines got broken into and windows got busted out. Ms lucy at the front desk was very nonchalant about the break ins and she didn't call the police and she also didn't show the police the cameras .. They also had a security company on property and no seen anything the property is also was loaded with cameras.... I want a refund I took a lost and have to get windows fix and replace property that was tooken

    Refrigerator leaked and got all my stuff wet. The only clean your room every other day. Only one elevator worked and contributed to delays. The breakfast was gross, and cold. Rubbery eggs and French toast. Won’t stay there again and I usually love Hyatt.

    Mattress was lumpy and pillows had no firmness, cover missing from TV controller, only one tiny trashcan in the whole room, no blanket, the elevator was not working, the second floor stair access door was missing two screws to hold in the lock, kids were out making a bunch of noise until late in the parking lot and the front desk clerk gave someone else the key to my room and someone tried to come in at 5 a.m. that morning on me!

    There was an appearance of renovations in progress, but no workers (for Emergency stair exits). One elevator wasn't usable, access to the bathroom shower/toilet area in the room was very tight. Opening the door barely missed the toilet. The cars/motorcycles were heard all night and that didn't include the sirens, windows and shower were caked with dust/dirt. I am hoping they were short staffed for the weekend. But my annual trip to the area will require another location.

    Overall we were pleased. The pull out bed is THIN, and noisy and there is only a thin blanket for it and one extra pillow. We could have asked for more, but we were so tired when we got in it just didn't matter in that moment. The hotel was run down for a lack of a better word. The elevators did not work (sometimes one would work), but it was a bit scary sometimes starting to move before the doors were closed, the breakfast was not very good, and things just seemed broken. The room was pretty spacious (except the bathroom) and it was super nice to have a kitchenette and a working fridge. Everything was clean and the staff was super accommodating and nice. We did request a late checkout and they were amazing for giving us that, however, one person at check out told my sister that we was about to charge us for another night even though (from my understanding) we were out by the time I was told on the phone when I requested the late check out. He was nice about it, but two different people told us different things. There is a starbucks across the street, and things are pretty close by; however, I went out to my car at one point and felt uneasy at some of the people in the parking lot. They kept watching me while I was grabbing some stuff from the car. Overall, it was a bed and the team was nice. I hated the elevators not working, but they are machines, and I felt that the price of what I paid was fair.

    Found one roach in the bathroom and the water coming out of the shower was scalding hot due to a broken valve otherwise excellent stay overall. The hotel was really close to restaurants, stores and the airport. Their breakfast options was amazing and we loved how spacious, clean and comfortable the rooms were. The staff were warm and friendly, we were moved to a different king bed room right away due to a hot water issue.

    The check-in process was easy. During the check-in the staff mention they are going through a remodel. She let me know only one elevator worked, the light for the floor I was staying on didn’t work as well as the light to press the elevator to go up. Communication was great. I didn’t mind all the hiccups during the stay because the staff provided me with all the information I needed in the beginning. They served a wonderful breakfast & had free wi-fi! I will definitely stay here again in the future

    We love Hyatt Place as a brand however this is a lipstick on a pig property. The room was dirty, loud parties going on, people yelling in the lobby, cars parked out front with music playing. I am guessing this was a lower tier hotel they a turning into a Hyatt Place however they shouldn’t change the name until the property meets the standards.

    I love the room layout for king size rooms. Two elevator hotel with only one elevator working for 6/7 floors. Breakfast staff was rude and food took forever to come out due to one burning working. Security officer at night definitely was profiling which made my party feel very uncomfortable when we travels from out of town. My stay did not live up to the Hyatt reputation.

    We had a really nice stay. I believe they were doing some renovations but it didn’t cause any issues. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was great and we slept really well. Breakfast was well stocked and set up, very clean. There was a bit of a funky smell in the bathroom, I think it was the shower drain but it wasn’t the worst and the shower worked great, no draining issues or anything. We had no issues with the hot water. I didn’t even mention the drain to management because it really wasn’t a big deal. For the price you can’t beat it and the staff seemed nice and helpful.

    The room was had been updated and was very nice. The overall space was great for 4 people. I liked that the sink was separate from the bathroom. The toilet/shower combo was a bit small. The only negative was getting the space cook enough for sleeping. It was a traditional floor mounted unit and seemed to struggle. They setved a nice, free breakfast buffet in the morning. Would stay here again. Was a quick drive to CLT.

    Jasmine was great at check-in but overall the presentation of the hotel didn't meet my standards. It was loud from the guest, seemed like Jasmine was the only person there working (she had great customer service), only one elevator worked and there was an unpleasant odor throughtout the entire hotel. Our room was clean and I needed a place to sleep as I was in town for work. I checked in late and needed to leave early the next morning. The loud racing cars and police were zooming up and down the main road until about 3am. I like Hyatt but I won't stay at this location again.

    The elevator was broken for two days. No help was offered on removing our luggage from fifth floor. I had to use nitro! No reduction or voucher was offered. The staff was great! Bless the workers that worked! NC had no one who could repair the problems! Doubtful! Shame on this chain

    Lovely hotel. Very clean, very friendly staff, wonderful breakfast. No carpet in room which I really liked! The only thing was the lay out of the bathroom. I had a King suite & the bathroom door was difficult to close because it was so close to the toilet. Had to position yourself in the walk-in shower to close the door. Definitely needs to be corrected. Sink was outside the bathroom. But other than the bathroom door, it was exceptional! They are remodeling so I’m not sure if this room still needs to be done. The room is very updated so I wonder if an error in measurements were made.

    Very nice hotel. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was ok - didnt care for the powdered eggs.

    The hotel smelled of wet dirty towels. The elevators didn’t work so we had to carry luggage up and down stairs. The air conditioning was horrible and leaked- I woke up to a puddle of water the next morning. Good thing it was an overnight stay
