The only reason I am not rating this motel a five star is because we had to pay for parking in the motel parking lot. Typically parking is covered, especially when your parking in a parking lot that belongs to the motel.

Convenience, basic room, decent breakfast. Good enough place for us to rest for a night before continuing our journey. AC not strong enough. Strict checkout timings as you get charged otherwise.

Spent the night here on a long layover. Very clean room. Beds were more comfortable than I expected for a large chain hotel! The shuttle both to and from the airport was great. Definitely would stay here again!

This is my go to hotel when laying over in CLT. I love the scent of the body wash and lotion. Rooms are clean, quiet, and roomy. 24 hour free shuttle to/from airport is great. I did not like not being able to get the shuttle time to the airport I wanted because it was full. I got to the airport super early instead so all was good. Next time, I will call early and try to book my time before I arrive since I tend to arrive late at night.

The best place to stay in CLT if it’s 2-3 days! Great service. Right near the airport, and a shuttle picks you up and takes you free of charge. This is my 2nd stay and I’m still impressed. Also a gym and pool and a great bar.

Stayed on an overnight layover, the airport shuttle is very handy. The room I booked was a tad bit small for two people and all their luggage, so the room size is perfect if you’re travelling solo. Definitely not a bad thing, just something to consider. The continental breakfast is delicious and has a nice variety.

The web sight said pet friendly. It didn’t say anything about a fee for the dog. When I got there to check in. They told me I would have to pay $75. Extra For my little 8 pound dog to stay there.. I had no choice but to pay it. I was traveling from out of town. Then they charged me an extra fee to park my car in their parking lot over night. While I was a guest there.

Very accommodating. They let me check in early and have a late checkout because when flights messed up. Breakfast was excellent and there's nice areas to walk. Challenging without a car to get to restaurants but the Hilton across the street has dinner available which was totally fine. Will stay here again

It was an okay stayed, kinda wish the rooms had a microwave. Also, there is no water fountain and we didn’t see a water station or anything, they do have a bag with two bottles of water at the reception desk which is fine but when I went to ask for some the male receptionist that was there was kinda rude because he only gave me one bag and mind you there is four of us in the room, when I ask for one more bag he then replied in a rude way you only get one more and after you’ll have to buy them. If you are not going to offer a water fountain or a water station then the customers should at least be able to get two bottles per person.

Easy stopover

Everything was good but shuttle service was the worst. Make you wait forever at the airport and take you to a few other hotels first before finally taking you to the tru hotel… waited about an hour to get picked up from the shuttle …. all they had to tell me is that they would be late and i’d have gotten an uber …. but they said the shuttle would be there in five minutes everyone i called and i waited an hour

Clean, easy access and quick drive from airport.

Stayed two nights. The staff was wonderful. My only issues were the hard mattress and the tiny desk for working remotely. The room was very noisy as well and they provide zero water bottles in room.

I loved everything. My only wish is that the pool was indoors or heated.

The reviews and photos gave me a very different impression of this hotel. The “game room” is a pool table in the lobby. The bathroom had a flickering recessed light so everytime you went in, you risked a seizure. $10 to park which was not disclosed. Not a great location but it was close to the airport. Overall not at all worth the nightly price. I would’ve booked the Marriott or regular Hilton if I knew it wasn’t as family friendly as it was advertised. Breakfast was okay. Wouldn’t go out of my way to stay again. Staff were nice though.

The room was clean, staff were friendlly, what there was of it. Did not use business center, too cold to use pool. We chose this hotel because it advertised a restaurant, arcade for kids and hot breakfast. Hot breakfast was next door at the Hampton but good. Arcade was a pool table (nothing for younger kids) and no restaurant; also no room service, no information of any kind in the room, and the bar was closed Friday through Monday morning. No one at guest services at night, just the hotel operator on the phone. One night to catch a plane might have been OK but we were there two nights to see Charlotte and it was very very limited. We stayed at the Sheraton a week later, for less money and may many more emenities.

I stayed here for 2 days and it was nice easy access to shuffle pick up from the airport for free. It was a overall nice experience.

There is a parking fee to a “third-party” that you pay by using a QR code. This is not advertised anywhere until you arrive.

My son and I were delayed and lucky enough to book a room at Tru. We enjoyed the snack bar, the pool table, and the large room. Every staff member we met was warm and welcoming.

We booked last minute after a flight cancellation and was not sure what to expect. The room was very clean and fresh. We enjoyed the breakfast before we had to catch the shuttle back to the airport. My daughter loved both the waffle maker and the pancake maker. This was a good stay close to the airport.

Clean room, the lvp flooring was nice so you don't have to walk on dirty carpet, nice bathroom, the rollup shaded keep a good bit of light out.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. I booked late due to missing a connection flight. The shuttle to hotel from airport was quick and check in was easy. Desk staff was kind and helpful and provided us with needed items due to missing luggage. Shuttle drivers were great and personable as well. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and I love that shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion is provided!

Im sure the place was nice. My flight was canceled. I did contact the hotel and they canceled the reservation. They said expedia would reimburse me

1) The water flow is bit slow and thin in faucet as well as in the shower. 2) Breakfast choices are very basic (automated Pancakes, Fruits, Yogurt, Grit, Eggs, etc) and nothing exciting for Hilton standards. Some addition like Oatmeal, Croissant, Diabetic friendly items will make it feel and taste good.

The bathroom design is also super convenient, with the exception of the soap/shampoo/conditioner/lotion dispensers, which require a pretty strong squeeze to dispense the product. For arthritic hands, this is a challenging design. Breakfast was adequate - with a few appreciated protein options - yogurt, precooked omelet, chicken sausage. The taste was okay and accomplished the purpose of having something before leaving for a full day. Note the additional parking fee by a separate company. I'm not sure if I was charged $10 or $20 for one overnight stay of 12 hours. It would be preferable to roll the parking fee into the nightly charge.

The attendant at checkin was not very friendly. She seemed to not want to be at work. Otherwise, our stay was very nice. Room was clean, breakfast was good. The walls were very thin, so it was quite noisy at times. Parking was also difficult and limited. The breakfast options were minimal and not very good. The air couldn’t be turned down enough, which made it uncomfortable for anyone with sinus issues. Overall, not the best experience.

Well we were looking forward to the bar being there and it’s closed on weekends so that was disappointing. The room was great and clean. Bed was comfortable. The hotel was pretty clean but we constantly saw spelt Fri is on the floor and food. They had a group of kid sports there and because of that it was louder. You could hear your neighbors pit their toilet seats down and doors opening and closing so not very sound proof but overall we had a great stay.

Hotel decor is more current and very well done. The bed was so comfortable that I overslept. Everything was very clean and stocked. The room had a wall thermostat and kept the room very comfortable. It had a full breakfast of warm foods plus breads and cereals. The desk staff were inviting and efficient and the airport shuttle was very organized and reliable. Only negative was they charged me for parking $10 in their lot even though I was a hotel guest.

My stay at this hotel was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lobby had a pool table. They had plenty of space to enjoy in the lobby. They had complimentary coffee tea and water. The room was so clean and inviting. The bathroom was so clean and nice. Everything was new also. I had plenty of towels provided so we really didn’t need anything. They also provided a complimentary hot breakfast. I will definitely stay there again.

Quiet and safe facility. Clean and new. Only downsides are the pay to park, and the very abnormally slippery shower floors. Be careful! They are slippery when just wet, not just when using soap.

During our stay, we had an item that was placed on the room desk go missing after housekeeping cleaned the room. We spoke with management about this, most likely the item was trashed by mistake. However, on our last day, we had a second item go missing which we did not realize until we checked out, we called the hotel spoke to front desk made the report. They stated that they would follow up with housekeeping and give us a call back or email us with an update, it’s been 2 weeks and we have not heard back from them. We had 2 items go missing during our stay!! We are very disappointed with the property. Management needs to look into this and check on their employees, there is a lack of protocol here. Would not recommend this hotel

We had an unplanned stop over in Charlotte. This place was an excellent choice for a last minute unplanned 9 hour stop in an airport you weren't expecting to be at. Safe, clean, convenient and friendly. Breakfast does start later than we needed at 8 or 9 so that was my only negative.

Was a great property. The rooms were a little small but the beds were comfortable and the shower was great.

The bed was comfortable, there were streaming apps available on the TV. Shuttles to the airport were running. Oddly, there wasn't a ramp to roll luggage to the side parking area.

What I like is the cleanliness off the hotel and the breakfast. What I had challenges with was when asking the staff a question some of them would say google it. Some of the staff on the side of TRU hotel where not helpful nor accommodating.

This was the best hotel stay possible for 3.5 hour stay. We got in late for a layover. The night manager was amazing. She very clearly explained how to get the shuttle from the airport and then got us in a room quickly when we arrived. Getting that kind of service when you are too tired to function is priceless. Shuttles were on time, so no stress there. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We actually got some sleep. Wish we could have enjoyed it longer!

First, I’ve never stayed in a hotel that you had to pay for parking so that was a little disappointing. That should be something that I get when I stay with the hotel. I was also disappointed that there is no coffee maker in the room and that a mattress topper Was my blanket.

Here to visit family and to go to a concert with a friend.

During my visit, I encountered some challenges with my reservation that led to an interaction with the staff and particulary the hotel manager. There is an opportunity for further training in customer service for that team, particularly in handling reservation issues. Effective communication in these situations is crucial, and with additional training, the staff could better manage such scenarios, ensuring guests feel valued and understood.I felt like I and my daughter were repremanded by the hotel manager. He must have had a very bad day. We will not stay at this location in the future.

Close to interstate and a wedding venue I attended. The room was clean and the hotel was not noisy.

My family stayed here for a long overnight connection. The facility itself was nice and the employees were pleasant. They advertise they have a bar, which is there but my family checked in at 8pm and they were closed. Also there are no restaurants near this place so if I am ever coming through charlotte again and need an overnight stay it wont be here.

Hostel older front desk lady. Not sure why she was so short with the man next to us and to my daughter and I when checking in. She snapped my ID out of my hand and was rolling her eyes . She did not have a name tag. Also the shuttle bus driver was texting and driving crazy.

Parking fee was a surprise but it is possible that I missed mention of it on the website while booking. We either had the noisiest guests in the world above and to the side of us or the walls and ceilings were paper thin. It was a truly awful nights sleep. We won't be staying here again

I enjoyed staying here. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Although your car was safe in the parking lot you still had to pay to park which I really don’t agree with that. The breakfast was good and all of the employees that I came across were very helpful.

Beautiful place to stay

It was a weekend away for a friend who was celebrating her bday and when we arrived I instantly knew it was an issue. There were several older bikers whistling and cat calling to me and my friend. We got to the front to check in and the front desk attendant was rude, you could tell she didn’t want to be at work. She said that my card declined and wasn’t charged but once I unlocked my card could see, she ran my card for the incorrect amount. We didn’t get any parking, breakfast or shuttle information and were literally asked “Do you want water or not”? We literally were harassed by the bikers the entire stay, to the point where another man staying there had to step in bc the men where trying to record us walking. We went to the front desk about the incident and was asked “What are we supposed to do about it!”. Even at check out the front desk attendant knew nothing, literally the worst customer service experience at any Hilton Hotel and I will not return.

Our stay at the Tru by Hilton was a great experience. The shuttle service was convenient and there was no extended wait times for pick up and drop off. The hot breakfast was a plus daily and was decent. The hotel was very clean and the staff was helpful .

My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night and the staff was so kind and celebrated us so well! Really good people working here. The room was also just beautiful! We will definitely stay at the Tru again!

The property is like any Hilton Tru property. Was very clean, modern, and has a breakfast option. What I didn't like was the parking. They use a 3rd party vendor which requires an online payment which charges $10 per day, plus a $2 service charge. Considering you can't pay with cash at the front desk; the service charge is insult onto injury. I don't understand why Hilton would agree to this set up as it puts their customer into a forced service and the related fees situation. Feels super abusive. So much so, that I won't ever stay in another Tru that doesn't provide free parking. Second, issue is the lack of EV charging. So, I get to park for a fee, in front of sign that states parking at my own risk, and there are no EV charging options. In other Tru locations there are EV charging options (need more non NACS options BTW). Seems Hilton, while monetizing the parking would at least require the vendor to add value to the parking experience. It's so tiring to be nickeled and dimed to death by corporate giants. And this particular experience got my goat.

I really enjoyed our one night stay at the Tru. Would definitely come back. However the breakfast, even though it was tasty, used a lot of plastic. Since there was a rating for eco friendly, they could find a way to use less plastic. Thank you. Otherwise, the room was clean, beds very comfortable, sheets were nice and the service was very good.

My only complaint is that the hotel had a restaurant/bar in it, but they apparently refuse to open it. I had to walk to a different hotel nearby. The hotel clearly didn’t care because it was a sister chain and the management still see the dollars either way but I will make sure to stay away from that lack of convenience moving forward.

The property was new and clean The noise level was terrible throughout the night. Every time someone opened or closed their door it was very loud and woke us up Although I love that their are no carpets in the room you can hear other people walking about in their room Ealls seemed thin as you could hear people talking or watching television. We will not stay heat again
