Very nice hotel. Staff was nice. Room was fairly quiet though we had loud neighbors screaming at each other half the night-that wasn’t the hotels fault
- 4/5
Clean and very nice.

Will not eat at there restaurant again. It is ashame that they could not fix the meal appropriately

Great location close to UVA

Hotel is conveniently located, but rooms and facilities are a little tired. Staff is nice. Parking is $10 per night.

Location was good, staff were very helpful and nice. Also they give you bag of goodies of water and cookies. I was not happy to have paid for parking it was $10 a day and should of been free for guest.
- 5/5
I dislike paying for parking.
- 4/5
The sheets, towels were clean and tidy. Unfortunately, the room's floor was not clean enough, a beer cap, a dead insect was seen.

Very nice hotel but noisy ac. I really hated they charge $10 for parking. Shouldn't have to pay for parking at a hotel you have a room rented.....just stupid.
- 3.5/5
Not very clean. The carpets in the room were very dusty and the shower had mold on the tiles. Needs a major overhaul.
- 3/5
It is a fine hotel, but only fine. It served its purpose for our stay, and the staff was attentive and helpful. We were in town for graduation, and since the nicer hotels booked up quickly, we were just glad to secure a room. That said, the cost simply didn't match the value of the property. I understand that high demand drives up rates, but it still felt wrong to pay such a premium for two nights in a standard three-star hotel. Ultimately, it’s an average, perfectly acceptable place to sleep for a night or two—we just ended up paying the kind of money you'd expect for a true vacation experience.

Very nice hotel clean and well taking care of we really enjoyed our stay will be back soon

I requested to have by reservation be changed to one night ahead of the original date. To have done so my $130 a night room wash going to be penalized with $130 charge. I was not going to pay double for the room; therefore it set empty costing me $130. No I am not happy!

Checked in late at night and was greeted by a very friendly and helpful guy behind the desk. Didn’t stay long at the hotel but it seemed to have all the amenities one could want. Would highly recommend.

I have stayed at this property numerous times and it is always consistently excellent, great breakfast, comfortable rooms, great location.
- 1.5/5
Absolutely nothing. This property is the definition of neglect and is an embarrassment to the Hilton and DoubleTree brand. Bugs throughout the room, cracks in the walls, and maintenance so poor it borders on inexcusable. This building does not need a touch-up. It needs a full renovation. The elevators rattled and shook the entire stay. The grounds looked less like a hotel and more like an abandoned building left to deteriorate. Rooms were cramped, bathrooms were outdated, and the plumbing leaked water everywhere. The showerhead was grimy and too short for anyone over 5’9. The carpets were so old and grimy that walking barefoot was not an option. The iron damaged and ruined one of my shirts. Most unacceptable of all, the property’s solution to a broken window in our room was to spray paint it and hang a random curtain in front of it. That is not a repair. That is a cover-up. We paid good money to stay in what felt like a poorly patched abandoned property. Given the condition of this hotel and the damage to my personal belongings from their faulty iron, I am formally requesting partial compensation for this stay. The quality of this property does not reflect what was advertised or what is expected of a DoubleTree by Hilton. See previous comment.

It was a decent place. The staff like to rush a little bit, which was a little annoying but other than that, it was fine.
- 5/5
As expected. No issues. Good lobby and room.
- 2.5/5
It was very close to my work location. It seemed clean. The room was very bare. It was large enough for a sofa, but none was provided. There was a cheap clip-on light on the desk and the rest of the lighting was dim. I could not get my Alexa connected to the WiFi and three different employees were no help.

Very nice hotel. Very clean, staff. Super friendly. Nice pool!
- 5/5
Great clean hotel.
- 4/5
It didn't seem like a 4star hotel. The room was nothing special. The toilet was so low it seemed almost dangerous. There were things like shower caps.
- 4.5/5
Very clean and quite. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Toilet seats were not the ADA 17 inch standard. They were way to low to the ground. The pillows were like air, 4 pillows maybe equaled 1 normal pillow.
- 5/5
Beautiful hospital and a great location. They are super dog-friendly.
- 0.5/5
Smell even the bed sheets were smelling bad. I woke up multiple times during my sleep because of the smell
- 5/5

- 4.5/5
The hotel was spotless, and the cleaning staff was incredibly attentive. They even brought me clean towels every day without me asking. Their level of attentiveness to my needs was truly remarkable. The hotel was conveniently located near Sam’s Club and Walmart, but I still had to drive into town for some other errands. The parking lot was always packed, so I had to park further away. Perhaps it would be better to rent a car, as driving to Charlottesville takes about 8-9 minutes.
- 1/5
no breakfast , tub backed up, phone broken, cant call room service, mold marks on wall, cold water must run a long time before hot, very far from town

Facility and staff were good. But the room was not. Room was very out dated. Bathroom was terrible it smelled and there was mold on the ceiling. The tub would fill because the drain was clogged. Very small bathroom. The pillow on the bed were so uncomfortable. For the amount of money I spent it was not worth it.
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful and the place was wonderful.

It was clean comfortable in a great area and the staff was amazing
- 0.5/5
I got food poisoning, they had a generator blow and no lights in hotel.
- 5/5
Everything was great from the moment we checked in until check out!
- 2/5
Room felt neglected, was dirty, had used q-tips in the bathroom and the bed had crumbs on it. We lost power the second day of our stay and it stayed off for a while. Staff was nice but the cleaning people didn’t understand us at all.
- 1/5
Not hot water, bad service experience and menu from restaurant not updated.
- 5/5
Staff great. East access to airport on shuttle
- 3/5
The shower jnob was very difficult to use
- 3/5
I stayed on the 4th floor, it took the water for the shower & sink 10 minutes to get warm.
- 5/5
Great customer service will be using them for all of my Charlottesville trips!
- 3/5
Water was cold for a shower. Parking lot was so bad with the snow a top of the line hotel and no one came to clean the parking lot.
- 3/5
Verry nice lobby. Rooms were not the same quality.
- 4/5
The room was very clean. The only wrong was the bed was not very comfortable.
- 3/5
The room was in good condition. The breakfast was overpriced and the restaurant didn't have enough staff. The food options are not approp for the hotel.
- 4/5
I didn’t eat the breakfast because it was expensive. Would rather have seen a free breakfast like other Hilton properties. Also the bathroom and room is in need of a remodeling.
- 4/5
Hotel is very clean. Hot water in room was on and off/took a very long time to get warm if at all.
- 5/5
It was a busy time at the front desk, but staff was calm and efficient
- 5/5
Great staff and spacious rooms.
- 5/5

- 3/5

Main area of the hotel we’re really well done and upscale. Rooms while clean were fairly dated and could use a facelift. Staff was very nice and helpful

- 5/5
Nice clean room, great staff
- 5/5
Staff was very nice and helpful. Room is ok. Bed is comfortable.
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable. We were there just to lay our heads before a very, very early outpatient procedure at UVa. I did ask if I could provide my Hilton rewards membership despite booking with Hotels.com and was welcomed to. Our checkin person was very kind and courteous. Always love the complimentary bottled waters offered as traveling needs extra hydration. We didn’t have time to utilize any amenities but the hotel looked beautiful and was surprisingly quite active so early in the evening on a Friday. My only complaint was that our floor seemed quite busy and noise from the hall was very easy to hear coming through the door but once time to sleep we use a sound machine so not that much of an issue.
- 5/5
We were able to organize and plan my father's funeral arrangements based on the arrangements by the hotel front desk receptionist. Overall, the cleaning staff was able to keep fresh linen and towels readily available upon our request. This was my second visit within a couple of months, and my family was pleased with hotel. Stephanie
- 4/5
Room was very clean, employees were extremely polite. I was charged an extra $50 per night incidental fee , that was not listed anywhere by the hotel or Expedia.
- 5/5
Friendly staff clean room
- 5/5
Clean room super nice staff
- 5/5
Front desk staff was awesome. Rooms excellent.
- 4/5
We did another bar area and the wonderful bartender. Didn’t get her name , but she was working Friday night

- 5/5
Great all around
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
The room was great, it was clean and spacious and the front desk staff was super friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
Staff was rude, nobody was at the front desk at times it was hard to reach someone when at the front deskroom walls are dirty, and there are a lot of gnats flying around and coming out of the sink. A bag of chips cost nine dollars apparently
- 5/5
Paula checked us in early in the morning and was so pleasant and helpful.
- 5/5
Clean room, kind staff, nice atmosphere.
- 3/5
The room are outdated, still using pod coffee and not keurig. The bathrooms are small and rusted. Try one of the 3 NEW hotels recently built in the area.
- 5/5
Front desk staff was awesome. Very polite, professional, and helpful. Room was great! Property look beautiful, well maintained
- 5/5
I just wanted a place to stay while visiting the area, and this was perfect. Not particularly expensive, and plenty of parking. The room was clean and spacious, so no complaint there. I did not eat there, so I cannot comment on the restaurant or breakfast option. Would certainly stay there again.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
The staff were very kind and the hotel and rooms were clean.
- 5/5
the beds were great, but the pillows were horrible.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Lobby was renovated and very clean. Restaurant were nice.
- 5/5
Dark parking if not close to building. Trash can in parking full and spilling. Trash in parking area.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Beds were great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great stay.
- 5/5
Room was spotless. There was very little noise.
- 3/5
Overall the property was a decent stay, the welcome staff was mixed, we had really great friendly people, then we had other times people more interested in their phone, or sitting in the back not paying attention. The rooms were good size, the shower/tub unfortunately had mold all throughout the grout and smelled musky. It’s seems like an older hotel, the lobby was beautiful and modern but the room bathrooms could use some updating. Also the fresh cookies they boast about make sure you ask if they are fresh cause we stayed twice and one time they were good and the other we got hockey pucks.
- 5/5
Room nicely appointed, we had all we needed . We would stay there again
- 5/5
the room was clean and there was housekeeping daily. the shuttle to and from the airport was fast and the drivers friendly. the bottle of water and the cookies always a nice touch
- 5/5
Our room was clean and quiet. Some stains on things, but not dirty. The staff were very kind and welcoming. The stay would have been good, but the kindness of the staff made the stay much better and easy.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful. The fresh cookie and bottle of water during check-in was great
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 4/5
The staff are very helpful and kind.
- 3/5
Very disappointed in my stay this time at this hotel. The man at the front desk checking us in was very rude. The room smelled bad and the shower didn’t work properly. Also, no housekeeping came on the third day. When asked why not, the front desk said that they come every 3rd day, which is untrue, since they came 2 mornings in a row. Customer service needs some work here.
- 5/5
Breakfast is $25 on the 3rd floor but it was all you can eat and they had a great selection. This looks like a hotel that is a little bit older but has been renovated very, very, nicely. Would definitely stay again :-)
- 5/5
The room was clean and common areas beautiful!!! We did not eat at the hotel. Front desk staff were very friendly and efficient.
- 3/5
Bathroom dated and grout dirty.
- 5/5
Comfortable room.
- 5/5
A very nice place and clean.
- 5/5
The bar staff was wonderful, the check in process was easy and the front desk staff was very accommodating, the indoor pool is awesome and the rooms were comfortable
- 5/5
Hotel was better than expected. Very beautiful inside and out.
- 5/5
Front desk staff were very helpful and nice. Nice inside common area, clean room
- 2/5
The facilities were also not well cleaned. The carpeting had debris in it, and the sink faucet had someone’s toothbrush spit still on it. There was also loose hairs on the bathroom floor that were not ours. For the conference, the hotel provided breakfast and lunch, which was great. To add breakfast to our reservation it was an additional $41 a night. The conference facilities were very dated, the plugs were minimal for charging computers and many of the outlets were taped over or cracked and looked unsafe to use. The carpets in the conference rooms were also disgusting.
- 5/5
Comfortable bed
- 5/5
Easy check in. Clean, bathroom dated. Easy parking. Close to JPJ arena and shopping.
- 3/5
I wasn’t impressed. The hotel itself seemed fairly well appointed but our room clearly missed the mark.
- 1/5
The comforter on the bed had literal MOLD in/on it.. The staff tried to stay it may be the feathers inside of the comforter.... it was absolutely not the feathers. you can see the mold when you held the comforter up with the light on the other side of it. We went to get into bed at 1 am and ended up leaving and driving 3 hours back home because we were so disgusted. Will never stay here again
- 4/5
The linen on our beds were in need of replacement (bed skirt) and the bathroom needed touch up paint. The outside sink was stained. We will come back.
- 5/5
friendly staff
- 3/5
We were a group of four guys visiting Charlotteville for a golf/football weekend. We had two rooms, easy check in, rooms were comfortable and fine. Unfortunately, we came back after midnight from the football game and could not get into our room. The keys would not work, they replaced the key and they would not work, they then came around with master key, and it would not work. They had to put us up for the night in a different room, while all of our clothes, medicines, toiletrees were locked up in the first room. It also took us about an hour to get in and it was late and we were tired. So, this tainted our stay. They did comp us for one night for the room, we could not get into, so will complitment then for trying to make it right.
- 4/5
The hotel was very nice. The staff was friendly and attentive.
- 5/5
Staff is helpful and friendly - hotel is clean and bright and conveniently located to UVA - only a 15-minute drive
- 5/5
Room was good, only issue was the way the bathroom is set up. Staff was amazing.
- 5/5
It was good to have a restaurant on site.
- 5/5
Was a safe place
- 5/5
Everithing was fine
- 4/5
Everything was great, just wish they paid a bit more attention to the pillows. One smelt awful we had to not use it.
- 5/5
Nice stay
- 4/5
Older hotel but well kept and very clean.
- 5/5
Nice hotel in Charlottesville. Large room. Comfortable and clean. Warm cookie upon arrival was a nice touch.
- 5/5
Enjoyed an easy one-night stay. Place was clean and tidy. Easy parking.
- 5/5
Was very convenient to get around city.
- 5/5
Everything was great l Do think the shower heads need to be replaced the water pressure was not strong enough but I give it a five stars
- 5/5
It Definitely In A Branched Off Area Walmart Sam’s Club Was In Walking Distance The Room Was Clean
- 5/5
Great place for a relaxed stay!
- 3/5
Average hotel experience. Good value for money and probably one of the better options in the area.
- 5/5
Fantastic experience
- 5/5
convenience of location
- 2/5
This is a tired property. Our room smelled like mildew. My daughter had an allergic reaction. Staff at front desk was lovely but it is older property that needs an upgrade.
- 5/5
very nice hotel . room was large clean bed comfortable
- 4/5
We thought it was a very nice hotel.
- 5/5
Our 2nd time staying there and will return again!
- 4/5
This hotel is located in a nice area. My only complaints are the gentleman who checked me in, wasn’t very pleasant on arrival and the initial room he gave us also had cigarette burns on the carpet. He did allow us to switch rooms, but seemed slightly annoyed at the request.
- 4/5
Easy check in and out, comfortable beds and clean hotel. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, but were a little bummed the coffee and tea area in the Lobby weren’t working. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Our stay was quiet, we were on 9th floor.
- 1/5
This property was filthy. The room was disgusting and this hotel was nothing more than a Hampton inn named doubletree.
- 5/5
This hotel is great!
- 3/5
The bed is not comfortable. The hallways are very humid and hot. Toilet sits very low to the floor.
- 1/5
It seems they invested a lot into the lobby but completely neglected the rooms. I was very disappointed. The staff at the front desk were not helpful either.
- 5/5
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and it was close to the UVA campus, plenty of shopping and dining options
- 5/5
The property was excellent in every way and we had a great stay!!
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would definitely stay there again. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
Cozy bed! Great staff!
- 5/5
One of my beds in my room had hair in it. Almost like the bed wasn’t changed and the bathroom had hair all in the shower and on the floor. I’ve stayed here plenty of times before and this is first that this has happened.
- 4/5
Awesome check in guy at 1am. Nice facilities. Bathroom doesn’t match. Little on gross side. Weird water sprinkler right above head. Mold and dirty. Very outdated, unlike rest of facility
- 3/5
Parking was great.
- 4/5
Good in the restaurant was awful, room was a bit dingy but overall clean. Lobby is very nice and staff was very nice. Overall would stay there again.
- 5/5
It was affordable, nice pool and service was good. It was above expectations for the price
- 5/5
Quick and convenient
- 5/5
Easy checkin. Bed very comfortable had a good night rest
- 4/5
The toilets are too low. For those of us who are older, it’s very difficult to get up from that height.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 4/5
Everything was up to date the rooms were very clean quite the bed was very comfortable I highly recommend
- 5/5
This was very nice... for me to spend some quality time with my (amazingly hot) lady friend!
- 5/5
No closet?
- 2/5
The entrance and lobby were beautiful- updated. The room we were in was unclean and dusty. The toilet bowl was awful- dirty/stained.
- 4/5
Breakfast overpriced
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Overall it was nice
- 5/5
Good location. Great staff. They even let us have our room 2.5 hrs earlier than the check in time. That was a bonus it self. We are traveling on our Harleys so we were able to get our things in the room before we went out site seeing. All in all i would definitely recommend.
- 5/5
It was nice and friendly
- 5/5
Clean and comfy bed
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Very nice hotel, apparently was recently renovated. The only but i have is the pool, which is beautiful but for an inside pool, because obviously there is a/c, the water is freezing, so the pool should have warmer temperature. We were there during very hot days and not even then was warm. So yeah, warm that water people.
- 3/5
Very nice staff. Rooms are tired, but comfortable. Breakfast is not worth the money.
- 3/5
The free breakfast that was mentioned on the website, which was a deciding factor for selecting this hotel, ended up costing $18.
- 4/5
Tim the bartender and front desk staff were phenomenal !!!
- 2/5
I stayed here as an independent traveler and unfortunately didn’t feel as safe as I would have liked. My room’s deadbolt didn’t work, which was unsettling, especially when traveling alone. While the exterior of the hotel is charming and picturesque, the room itself was disappointing. It clearly needed updating—there was peeling paint, an outdated popcorn ceiling, and a general sense of wear that didn’t match the rest of the property. It has potential, but safety and upkeep need to be prioritized before I’d consider staying again.
- 3/5
Bed was great and room was spacious. Bathroom fixtures need to be replaced and rust mitigated.
- 3/5
The beds were nice and the bathroom vanity, but the outlets were loose, the main lighting in the room didn't work, tv didn't work, and the hallway smelled like weed and looked like it's been not updated in 25 years.
- 5/5
The tall black night manager is an excellent person. He was very helpful and informative. Made us feel like valued customers. The pool was good, and I was glad to see it got closed at intervals for necessary maintenance to ensure we had clean, bacteria free water to swim in. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be staying there again!
- 5/5
Great stay, nice location
- 2/5
Our room had water damage on the wall and ceiling. You could see water dripping down the wall and could hear drips hitting the floor from the A/C unit. They were unable to move us due to the hotel being completely booked. Which is understandable, but the staff's nonchalant reaction to the our concerns was disappointing. They acted like we had no reason to be concerned and offered nothing to address the situation.
- 5/5
Thank you for my experience. You were very accommodating when I needed to take a meeting call, you let me use a private space. Very nice. The warm cookies were amazing too.
- 5/5
Very nice facility. Great location, our go to place when visiting Charlottsville!
- 4/5
I had a brief stay for a conference; however, I would consider this hotel for a longer stay.
- 5/5
Excellent from start to finish. Friendly, professional staff. Room was spotless. Appreciated the 24/7 coffee. Great cookies at check in!
- 5/5
I love the upgrades. I was here a few years ago and it wasnt like this. Beautiful facility. The receptionist was able to provide me with a king bed. When I booked, therewere no kings available, so it was nice that I was able to get on upon arrival. The staff was very accomdating.
- 5/5
All good
- 3/5
The room was nice, however the air conditioner was very loud and each time it came on it woke me. It only has one speed/high LOUD. There was some activity north of the building which had a loud PA which went until midnight.
- 4/5
The room was clean, and the staff accommodating.

The only issue we had was that the grass needed to be mowed. We stay there every time we visit Charlottesville. Love it there! .
- 1/5
Shower knob was broken so it took us about 20 minutes to get hot water to work. The bathroom light cover was broken and clearly should be replaced. The sink had a loose handle so water dripped all night long which was disturbing. The room itself was very humid so the carpet and bedding felt damp and smelled. There were TONS of spider webs by the hvac unit which showed no cleaning is ever done around it. Housekeeping also never came by the room. For $20 a person I expected a better breakfast option than what we had. Overall experience was subpar.

Immaculate and prefessional
- 5/5
I'll be staying here again soon! Perfect location.
- 2/5
I didn't like the services. And the room services. The pool area was dirty. I didn't have toilette paper or coffe the second day of my stay.
- 2/5
We stayed 3 nights. We never had anyone clean our room or bring new towels. It was very noisy and just not a real good experience. The property is dated and a little tired.
- 5/5
Closeness to airport, friendly shuttle service in the middle of the night.
- 1/5
My room was horrible. The ceiling was stained with water. Ceiling in bathroom had holes and was caving in. They had no other available room. I was there for a wedding. I was able to get 1 night compensation.
- 5/5
Property was clean, safe and convenient. Close to airport with shuttle service. Would definitely stay there again
- 3/5
Shower and toilet had issues. Fixed once, but then occurred again. Otherwise, service was very good. Did not care for the menu at the restaurant.
- 3/5
Rooms are very dated and worn out. Stayed 3 days and not one room cleaning nor towels, had to go to front desk to get new towels.
- 5/5
The staff are friendly and the place is clean.
- 3/5
The hotel needs major upgrades. The bathroom is dated and the tiles in the shower aren’t clean. The room wasn’t cleaned properly, there was a dried up contact lense on the night stand. The outside furniture is old and some chair are broken.
- 5/5
I always like staying at this hotel. I feel comfortable and relaxed. The rooms are nice and clean.
- 5/5
I have stayed here before and it was convenient to stay here after my awards banquet.
- 5/5
It was quiet and the cs was great.
- 3/5
Property was ok for a one night stay in Charlottesville area. It’s on the other side of town from wineries and breweries but near all of the commercial stores that you may need. Rooms are in need of updates. Our walls were cracked and showers were starting to look a bit dated with wear and tear.
- 5/5
Dated but clean
- 5/5
Nice staff
- 4/5
Shower was not working in the morning. Just a drop of water.
- 5/5
Great location
- 2/5
Door keys didn’t work, after two reprograms one worked. TV was intermittent black puts. Cold water facet would not shut off. Maintenance came, you have to turn it on, then turn off. Then turn 3/4 toward you to make it shut off. Too many things were wrong, room old, not maintained.
- 2/5
Stiff bed and hard pillows were par for the course in a handicap room with so much light coming in around the door, it was impossible to sleep. Add that to the battery dying in the smoke detector in the middle of the night and it was a terrible stay. Definitely won’t start again.
- 4/5
thin walls
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
The check-in process was very smooth and the front desk was very accommodating with my disability. The hotel is spacious and clean and located next to several stores for convenience shopping.
- 5/5
Stayed overnight; booked another stay for following trip in May. Front desk staff was great.
- 4/5
Comfortable stay and accommodation were good!
- 4/5
The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Looked like it hadn't really been cleaned. Toilet sat so close to the ground it was not good for taller folks. Bed was super hard. Not impressed.
- 4/5
Hotel was very good. The bed was not super comfortable.
- 5/5
very nice
- 4/5
Property and room was clean. Could use a little renovation.
- 5/5
Great staff and facilities. Pool clean & rooms well stocked with towels, soaps & toiletries. Coffee bar is a welcome touch and the warm chocolate chip cookies are delicious. Highly recommend.

Perfect for our trip

All was good.

We were rudely awaken in the middle of night by an emergency alert asking us to take the stairs to the congregation space. This alert was due to a malfunction. It was scary, it ruined our rest for an event the following day, on which we had already going to miss an hour due to DST, and we never got at apology from the facility. Ridiculous.
- 5/5
Great hotel for the cost!
- 5/5
Nice Hotel but the breakfast is so so and the walls are thin so you can hear everything. Guy next to me was playing porn movies all night. Really?
- 5/5
we appreciated the easy check in
- 3/5
Waited to check in. No one at the desk. Couldn’t find an employee.
- 1/5
Beware of bugs alive and dead and dirty razors from previous guests, staff was very nice byt
- 5/5
I will stay here whenever I can. It’s wonderful!
- 4/5
Controling the HVAC was confusing as there were two different thermostats in the room. Setting one did not affect the other. Kept waking up hot and sweaty till i found the second thermostat. Not impressed with the restaurant. There was a room on the floor marked "vending and ice", no vending.
- 5/5
Last minute reservation. Price was reasonable for the three star hotel. Great they have airport shuttle.
- 5/5
Always stay at this hotel when flying out of Charlottesville
- 5/5
I spent the night with my husband the night before I had surgery. All the staff that we came in contact with were extremely helpful and extremely kind. I highly recommend this property.
- 4/5
We specifically chose a hotel with an indoor pool, the water was way too cold to be enjoyable!! We were only able to stay in for a few minutes, it was awful.
- 2/5
Rooms have water damage, there was no ventilation in the bathroom and my door lock didn’t work.
- 5/5
Great place. Breakfast is expensive compared to hotels offering "breakfast included" and not so tastey for $18.
- 5/5
convin
- 4/5
Clean and staff were very helpful
- 4/5
No maid service second day of stay. Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful.
- 5/5
Very nice property will stay again
- 4/5
It was a wonderful getaway. The water in the shower was very hard coming out. And the bathroom had hair all over it. But other than that I can’t complain about anything else.
- 2/5
Do you have discounts for companies that have more than 3 employees staying at the hotel. " YOU HAVE TO CALL SO AND SO. They should be able to answer this question.
- 4/5
Convenient. Clean facility and welcoming. The staff were great. The room was great. However, the shower and bathroom need upgrade.
- 3/5
The malfunctioning shower drain made the tub fill up. The toilet was too low and the tank cover was the wrong size. The hotel wouldn't honor my husband's Veteran status with free breakfast, never told us ahead that it was because we booked through you, Expedia.
- 5/5
Overall the hotel, frontdesk and the room is nice except the tub draining slow in our bathroom. The breakfast area is in the resturant with bar, the setting very nice, you can see the falling leaves from the resturant in Autumn. The gym and indoor pool spectacular designed when you walk into the hotel. Enjoyed the staying in Double Tree very much so..
- 5/5
Beautiful and super reasonably priced! We brought our dog and had plenty of outdoor spaces for him to explore including a huge "backyard" behind the hotel where we could throw his frisbee. The restaurant was very good, and the pool and gym were lovely.
- 5/5
It was super nice and clean and staff was great would stay again without a doubt
- 5/5
Great location
- 3/5
The hotel and staff were great but the other people staying were horrible, no respect for us, a lot of noise, laughing yelling loudly, the next room had the TV really loud, hard to fall asleep but the hotel staff was very responsive and took care of it
- 3/5
Clean hotel. Mattresses were good. Sometimes that's the best you can ask for. We felt the hotel was overpriced for just 'an average' room with some outdated features. We could also hear the neighbors above us and beside us, so wasn't very peaceful.
- 3/5
Off a busy highway,not walkable.Staff was good
- 5/5
Excellent property and the staff are super friendly.

My husband and I stayed at the double tree due to needing to be close to UVA hospital. When traveling, we always stay at a Mariott. This trip we booked the Hilton. We booked two nights -- the second night, I had to use the pull out sofa--to my disgust, there was a dirty fitted sheet on the mattress with bed bugs crawling on it--I immediately contacted the front desk and spoke with a manager TJ. I was told that since I booked through a 3rd party it wasn't much he could do and the hotel was sold out. We travel alot and have NEVER experienced anything like this at all. I would have never booked at the HIlton, knowing I would have encountered bugs. The king size bed was clear of bugs but I never expected to share the bed with 2 other people.

We stayed here last year and I remember commenting how clean the hotel and room was. This year not so much . Our sheets had a couple of stains and hair on the bathroom floor.. we were able to switch rooms. This one was cleaner but not great. There was trash left in the room. Next year we will try a different place to stay.
- 5/5
I loved how the staff greeted you with courtesy. The restaurant staff at Root 29 was excellent and very hospitable to the guest. The front desk staff was very pleasant to all guest.
- 2/5
One of the dirtiest hotels we have ever stayed in. Mold growing in the shower and the room smelled like dirty laundry. Very disappointed and the front desk only said, ‘we will clean it’. Disappointing Double Tree, very disappointing.
- 5/5
Excellent customer service. Very nice staff
- 2/5
The pictures don't properly represent the rooms. They are very old, dingy, and need to be updated.
- 5/5
I just needed a few days away from everything. The hotel was close to home and very confident in case I needed to get hime fast. I needed som R&R and I definitely got it here very quiet and relaxing.

Enjoyed our stay.
- 4/5
The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative was the restaurant in the hotel. The breakfast buffet was very disappointing and way over-priced. Food was old and almost inedible.
- 5/5
The occasion was a sad one. We attended a funeral service for our father. That's the reason it was made easier by being at the hotel

Great!

Staff was excellent and attentive, good food, room was comfortable.

Property was quite nice & clean ! Close to our activities! Good & Friendly staff !

I love it!!!!

This hotel has some work to do! The room itself was clean but the lotion was empty and conditioner was empty, no trash can in the bathroom only one in the entire room. We wanted to order room service but the phone would not call to restaurant. Pressed every button even front desk…NOTHING! Told front desk and was made to feel it was user error. He said they had 2 wedding parties and restaurant was too busy and it’s likely I wouldn’t be able to get anything if I did it would be a while. Ordered door dash for a tremendous fee!! Also noticed the headboard was broken and the my glued it and the glue was visible!! One of the worse things was the loud AC unit all night long. I paid extra for breakfast in room fee but they wanted to charge me $18 per person for an average continental breakfast. When checking out I told front desk all these grievances and was simply offered free breakfast. NO THANK YOU!! I just get a tremendous refund because it’s not worth half of what I paid!!

This hotel has some work to do! I paid $20p for one night in hopes we could relax. The room itself was clean but the lotion was empty and conditioner was empty, no trash can in the bathroom only one in the entire room. Friendly staff and excellent room.
- 3/5
The front desk personnel was awesome. No complaints. The bar food AND service was just ridiculous. When there was 5 people or 15, extremely slow service and the food was just horrible. I've eaten better at a nursing home. Wait staff unenthused, I felt and others I observed were ignored for long periods of time. Several people left the bar because no one was really serving them. It was a shame. Hire more, competent people in that area and improve the quality of food served.

We did not make it to this hotel. We were sick with covid and tried to cancel and they would not refund my money. Very rude staff.
- 4/5
Hotel is nice and feels secluded. It’s quiet and void of traffic. The room is a bit dated but clean. The proximity to the airport is a plus.
- 5/5
Clean hotel, friendly staff, pool and restaurant inside the hotel are good as well.
- 5/5
The view from the restaurant is as amazing.

PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. I’m confused how this place received a decent rating. I only chose to stay here because it was an 8/10 rating on Expedia and it was a Double Tree (we’ve had great experiences with them in the past). This place had brown stains on the walls, the doorknob was broken and had a hole that you could visibly see through the other side. The mirror was broken, and the room smelled like cigarette smoke. There was a thick layer of dirt and grim over almost everything, it looked like only the bedsheets were changed. RUN FROM THIS PLACE!
- 3/5
I had to call for maintenance because the sinks were stopped up & gurgling. They only clean the rooms or make up the beds every 3 days. So, you have to call the front desk if or when you need something; like new sheets or towels etc. Also, that famous cookie wasn’t all that!
- 2/5
There was a huge wedding party the weekend of our stay. Two buses taking up the front of the hotel. No parking available for hotel guests. We were told to park at the Sam Club’s parking lot across the street. Had to haul all of our stuff across the street by ourselves. No one at the front desk offered to help. They did not have a friendly vibe the entire time.
- 5/5
The public spaces were gorgeous. The elevator was fast. Everything was super clean.
- 5/5
Great location! Beautiful views from restaurant and even my 1st floor room. I enjoyed the spaciousness of the entryway and had a lovely check in experience.
- 4/5
Price inflation for dates with local events is outrageous, as is true for most in the area, but then not to include breakfast for that enormous rate is just a poor value overall.
- 5/5
We were only at this location for one night, but the desk staff was exceptionally helpful. Our room was clean, quiet and very pleasant. Will use this location again, without a doubt.
