Homewood Suites by Hilton Chula Vista-Eastlake

Well maintained property. Room was ice cold at check in like 60 degrees. Got sick after the long 6 hour drive. When I called the front desk, they sent a male staff member to help with the clean up. I apologized to him, as I know it wasn't ideal or pleasant. He just looked at me and walked out. Could use some staff training for making staff feel comfortable and welcomed.

This property provided us comfort during a time when our condo was being worked due to roof link and we are grateful.

Property is well-maintained and makes for great long-term stays.

The jacuzzi only fits 5 people, so you may have to wait if it’s busy. It wasn’t when we were there. On the last day of our stay, there was yellow tape around it so it must of broken, but we had got our use in already. Our king suite was spacious enough for my husband and I and 2 cribs for our twin infants. Room was super clean. I heard a little bit of brief stomping in the night above us, but besides that it was very quiet. Kitchen has everything you need if you’re planning a long stay. Just bring your own knife if you’re a serious home cook. The knife they had will frustrate you. Breakfast was very good and always warm. And they always have a coffee station in the lobby with cream and sugars. Sometimes free cookies and ice tea too if you catch them at the right time. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was a great deal for what I paid for. Breakfast buffet plus free parking (VERY RARE) and all the amenities you get. I would stay here again.

Staff was great, especially front desk staff. The only negative would be the "sliding barn doors" instead of a regular door for the bathroom, not the biggest deal since I was teaveling by myself, but it would have been uncomfortable if i was traveling with someone else to not have total privacy for the bathroom. Other than that, my stay was great, the kitchen in the room was great, breakfast was wonderful and i would definetly stay again.

BREAKFAST WAS UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE, NOT ENOUGH FOOD OR FRUIT. THE JUICE DISPENSER WAS A MESS AND SOMEONE COULD HAVE SLIPPED, THE JUICE WAS OVERFLOWING ONTO THE COUNTER AND FLOOR., UNSAFE. HOT WATER DISPENSER WAS EMPTY, TOASTERS OR WAFFLE MAKERS WERE NOT ENOUGH FOR THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE HAVING BREAKFAST, IT WAS A LONG WAIT TO MAKE A WAFFLE OR TOAST. HOWEVER THE STAFF WAS NICE BUT WERE OVERWHELMED. THE MICROWAVE AND STOVE DID NOT WORK IN OUR ROOM WE HAD TO COME BACK TO THE LOBBY TO USE THE MICROWAVE, INCONVENIENT.

Couple hundred bucks on a Saturday in September. Clean hotel. Rooms are modern. Digital wall thermostat. Shower had good soap and shampoo. Good buffet in the morning.

My family and I stayed here, it’s less than 5 minutes from a shopping center with plenty of dining options. The room was super spacious, with great amenities (a kitchenette equipped with essentials). The room was very clean. Also breakfast had plenty of choices for the family. Hotel is about a 14 min drive to Sesame Place which is the main reason we stayed.

Booked in a room that was not available or properly cleaned. Bathroom/ bathtub filthy. Bugs, dirt, hair. When I called down (after I waited 45 minutes for them to “clean” the room with my sleeping/tired 2 year old) I was told that there was nothing that could be done because the cleaning crew had gone home. I asked for someone to bring up cleaning supplies for me to clean the tub out myself. A front desk member came with supplies and ultimately offered to clean the tub although this is not her job. I contacted Expedia because there was no front desk manager to assist onsite. Expedia refused to help me because the hotel would not refund my stay. Expedia decided I needed to abide by the no refund or cancellation policy despite my unacceptable experience. All of this was taking place around 9-10pm and moving my hotel with a toddler after being at the amusement park all day was not an option for me as I was traveling alone.

Good stay at homewood suites again. Front desk is friendly and helpful. Room is good size for long term stay. Room is clean and there is room server every other day, which is nice.

Friendly and amazing front desk service from the nice gentleman who helped me. Room so amazingly hudge. Best were very comfortable. Kitchen in room was great! We had the perfect stay. The maids did not bother us and were friendly to us on our way out. I loved our time spent. I hope to return soon!

Suite was perfect 2 rooms . Large bathroom. New thick towels. 2 TVs. Outlets to charge our phones. Beautiful kitchen with a full size fridge. Spacious rooms with large beds and a couch with a pull out bed. Free breakfast . Great place to stay. Pool, hot tub, gym, they had it all. The service was great. Nobody had an attitude. Smooth stay.

The washers and dryer‘s were not well-maintained. One dryer was out of service and a second dryer needed to be repaired while we were using it. There was a constant line for the laundry.

Wonderful location, staff, and breakfast, but The room carpets was filthy. My daughter walked around barefoot for 10 minutes and her feet were visibly black. There were carpet stains in several areas. Recommend shampooing the carpet. Neat and Clean otherwise.

Extremely noisy, slamming doors all hours of day (next to housekeeping), outlet in bathroom didnt work, tested fire alarm in room 2 days in a row at 10 AM with no warning or announcement. I thought the hotel was on fire. Website advertised smart TV with Netflix- they did not have. Bed made with the bedskirt used as the blanket with no blanket in room at all. Witnessed staff checking in people without facemasks despite postings to the contrary. The refrigerator and sink smelled bad and there was only 1 spoon in the full kitchen. Crumbs and such found on carpet and in bed.

I was in town for business. The hotel is busy with 2 Hilton brands in one location. It is clean and the area is close to restaurants and shopping.

I am very thankful to have a place to allow enjoyment of sorts for my family, but the property needs improvement. Shockingly, they’re a new build, too. The building hosts two hotels, each with different standards of cleanliness. Forget about calling the hotel—both times I desperately tried, I ended up in either the Philippines or India. Leadership here ja not the best

We stayed here for a concert in Chula Vista this is a great spot with really nice amenities.

I loved the hotel and I was told I could extend my stay as long as I did it before check out. When I went to extend it they told me there was no availability. I had to go to smaller room which was very inconvenient for my family. They told me to come extend my stay and let me down.

The rooms were amazing, spacious, and very well insulated because I didnt hear the party going on next to me LOL im kidding. My stay was amazing and it was mainly because the hotel and my room, specifically my bed <3

The hotel is new, and so the rooms are much better than usual, in hotels of the same price. And better of all, the hotel is 20 min from the cbx bridge to the tijuana airport.

This place was pretty unique. One side was the Hampton inn and the other Homewood Suites. We stayed at the Homewood suites. We are a family of 4 with kids at age 5 and 1. There was plenty of room for all of us and the kids to run around without feeling cramped in the room. The bed for adults and the sofa sleeper for the kids. The kitchen just made this whole place feel even more at home with a full size refrigerator, induction stove, microwave, sink, and essentials. We enjoyed our stay.

I stayed here with my daughter since my husband was working on renovating our floors. I expected better since the hotel had great reviews. The hotels felt understaffed with frustrated employees checking people in. I asked for dish soap and I never got it, hours later I had to call again to get it. I also told them they had ran out of towels at the pool, I waited in the lobby with my soaked up 5 yr old until they gave me one since they never took any out. The people were nice, but seemed stressed attending to the guests over the busy weekend. The pool area wasn't clean, with used up masks on the ground and trash by the bushes I was disappointed. I stayed there two nights and I did not see the pool get cleaned, the next day the pool was leafy and it even had bundles of hair (yes, hair). This is supposed to be a family friendly hotel and some guest would play loud music on personal speakers which I find inappropriate, but there was no one inspecting the pool area. I honestly regret not staying at the Residence Inn for $10 bucks more a night.
