Reviews
The Claremont Lodge is generally praised for its cleanliness, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. However, some guests have complained about noise, either from neighboring rooms, the freeway, or maintenance work. The location is also a point of contention, with some guests appreciating the proximity to the Pomona-Fairplex area and others finding it noisy and unsafe.

Comfortable, clean, lots of outlets, cubbies. Nothing super fancy, but decent, clean hotel with friendly staff. We needed place to stay when we visited our college student

Yes, your location was convenient and easy to find. Room was clean and everything worked.

There was no closet or dresser for my clothes .

Jacuzzi tub There was no closet or dresser for my clothes .

Not only was the parking lot easy, the entire corner the motel sits on had everything I needed. I was an exhibitor at a show at the Fairplex, and there was a liquor store across from the motel where I could buy snacks and water/soda and ice for my cooler. There’s an excellent Thai restaurant next door, and also a pizza place. It’s near the freeway, but the room was quiet enough to sleep comfortably.
- 4/5
internet not secure. bed not comfortable.
- 4/5
Friendly staff. Great location No decorations in the room, curtains were torn, dead bug on top of a bed. Not sure if it was a bedbug but not nice to see. Did check for bugs on the bed and didn’t find any.

Basic but clean room, friendly front desk staff, good proximity to five colleges.
- 2/5
The room smelled really stale and old. The covers were dirty and the counters and furniture were so dirty. I had to re-clean the room before I could even lay down. I did show the manager upon check out a video I took and he stated that I should’ve told him last night so they could come clean it.
- 4/5
Clean and quiet stay. Near some good food!
- 4/5
Clean room, clean sheets, coffee in room.
- 3/5
Hotel was good location lots of places to eat.Owners were so nice. Hotel was clean. Does have a pool just was closed. Big parking lot. Only thing I didn’t like was pillows were so small. But other than that hotel was good.
- 5/5
The room was clean, convenient location, and the check in attendant was really nice.
- 3/5
Aerial TV, no cable, so in rainy weather there was no service. Room could've been cleaner. Questionable appearing guests.
- 5/5
The room was very clean. And smelled great! The only issue was I only had decaffeinated coffee pods and not regular coffee pods. I'm sure the hotel would have exchanged but we were busy so we just got a cup at the store🙂
- 3/5
This is a MOTEL with outside doors. Clean, but basic. The area is not great. The room was very loud with the freeway nearby and no insulation between rooms. We ran the fan for white noise the 2nd night. One bed was memory foam but the other was terrible.....felt springs in my back all night. There is a microwave and mini fridge, but the room is not one you want to "hang out" in. Quite expensive but one of the only places to stay in Claremont.
- 4/5
It is an older property but seems to be kept up. It's convenient to freeway, airport, fast food and shopping

- 4/5
Fine hotel. Quieter than we thought it would be. Walkable to food, coffee but kinda dirty edge of town. Lots of parking.
- 1/5
This is the worst hotel in the LA basin. I had clothes stolen from my room while i was gone. The manager said housekeeping would not steal them. End of story.
- 1/5
Smells molds...
- 4/5
Wonderful restaurant across the street for breakfast and lunch.
- 5/5
Feont desk is crocked
- 5/5
I love this little family run motel. Rooms are freshly decorated. The staff is warm and friendly. Great location great restaurant next-door! It is My Home away from home! And it's affordable.
- 3/5
Sheets had stains, towels were small, they had a 3-in-1 for shampoo/conditioner and body wash, bed was not very soft.
- 3/5
It was a very average hotel room needs renovation not a bad room but very dated and easy to check into. Nothing to write home about.
- 5/5
The Staff was great! Made us feel comfortable during check-in. Thank you.
- 4/5
The room was spacious and had everything I needed (mini fridge, hair dryer, soap). Property was mostly quiet and there are dining options nearby. Only complaint was the hair and dust on the shelf above the clothes hanger.
- 2/5
Bed sheets were itchy. People came into room next to mine at 6am screaming and blasting music
- 2/5
Run down
- 4/5
My wife and stay there so many times we know the magment people service is great the only thing that I'll add is needs to be upgreat bending blankets pillows towels in general good place.
- 5/5
This hotel was comfortable with a good shower and a really nice owner who is very helpful.
- 3/5
Could be cleaner. The lights in the room feel harsh and unwelcoming. Checked in through a window like I was buying smokes in a sketchy neighborhood.
- 3/5
Cheap hotel near the freeway with smoking rooms. Perfectly fine for what it is.
- 3/5
Clean and relatively inexpensive. My key card kept demagnetizing and I had to get it reset on every return to my room. The challenge is that the lobby is always closed, so you have to go around to the night window and ring. Staff is nice, and my room was properly cleaned every day. The stairs creaked badly, and there was a lot of noise from the nearby freeway and the building itself.
- 5/5
Was a good comfortable stay. Confidently close to many stores and the freeway.
- 4/5
Good value.
- 5/5
Nice quiet
- 5/5
very clean, very secure and great staff :)
- 4/5
The hotel itself was nice. The staff and rooms were good. The surrounding area was awful. Homeless people and prostitution was visible. I know the hotel itself cannot control this, buf i do wish they could keep the Homeless from congregating the area. I also saw they were filling the pool with a garden hose. Not good.
- 1/5
Very unprofessional staff and owner.
- 3/5
Its ok, but a very noisy area. Building is very tired. room was ok.
- 3/5
It was whatever
- 2/5
We checked in late, and the desk clerk was responsive and helpful. Unfortunately, the room itself had a number of items missing: No clothes hangers, no bedside lights, only one hand towel, etc. The coffee maker had an inch or so of brown water in the reservoir. I'm afraid the Claremont Lodge earns only a poor to fair rating from us.
- 2/5
Checking into our room, it looked run down. The bathroom had holes in it. The WiFi didn’t work, and had to resort to using my personal service. The other attendees were noisy and messy. Parking was inconvenient due to not having enough, sharing them with the liquor store, and a restaurant. It’s a good choice as a last minute booking.
- 5/5
Staff was extremely friendly, rooms were big, and clean.
- 5/5
The greatest motel I’ve ever stayed.
- 3/5
Good and basic room for the price. Definte value in comparison to other chain properties. Better choice than the Motel 6 nearby. However, be prepared for strong cleaning product smells in room. Air deodorizer or neutralizer very obvious. Though rooms are non-smoking, there is no masking past experiences.
- 5/5
It was clean and safe enough. Absolute steal at the price point.
- 5/5
Reasonable price basic and clean
- 3/5
Good value for basic accommodations

Good for Drag races.Price is good. Not a fancy place but good enough for sleeping

Beautiful stay near the beach
- 5/5
Nice, quiet hotel. Perfect if you are looking for a hotel near the Pomona-Fairplex area.
- 5/5
My atay at the Claremont lodge was a last minute get away. I hadn't been here before, but was pleasantly surprised.
- 3/5
Tiny room…no amenities.
- 5/5
I liked how prompt the check-in was. Super clean room, very relaxing bed. Front desk was receptive and helpful for all my needs and questions. I would gladly stay here again.
- 5/5
Surprising the room is very cleaned , I’m impressed.

- 4/5
The only problem was maintenance decided at 9am was the perfect time to build a door or something.
- 3/5
Clean, no frills motel. Noisy location with an especially loud AC unit
- 4/5
For the money, the place was good. Clean and the staff very friendly!
- 5/5
Good value
- 5/5
Great value. Always quiet and clean
- 4/5
Overall it was a good stay. I stayed there before. It's an older motel but it has been remodeled. everything was fine, with one exception, their towels were too old, and they needed to replace them.
- 4/5
Every thing was good
- 5/5
Clean and quiet
- 4/5
Was a good location for the drag races. Hotel is worth the money
- 4/5
A definite 4 for men: spartan, small, mostly clean, recently updated, inexpensive . Probably a 3 for females for the same reasons. If the price remains about the same, I’d stay there again in a New York minute. No problems with noise as was reported by others.
- 3/5
Very utilitarian room; amenities but not a welcoming design.
- 5/5
The staff are amazing makes you feel welcome
- 3/5
Place was nust ok. Room was lacking in comfort. Built in table with wooden chairs directly below the tv was a bad set up. No other furniture. Parking was limited and difficult. TV set up and remote not great. If all you need is a bed and shower, it's fine.
- 4/5
Check in was fast and easy. The staff was nice. The room was clean.
- 4/5
Clean room, clena bathroom. Not many frills, no free breakfast in the lobby. No rowdy clientele. Will visit again.
- 4/5
The room itself was very clean and the management was accommodating of my request for a late check-out. The one drawback is that I was able to hear my neighbors on more than one occasion in the late evening if they were talking loudly outside. That aside, I would recommend this hotel for a short stay.
- 1/5
Terrible to say the least. First, at 6:00 p.m., they make you go to the night window instead of the lobby. The room is nothing but a bed and TV and the noise is the worst. Obviously there is no insulation in the walls from the outside noise or adjacent rooms plumbing. The upstairs room took 3 long showers and the walls rattled so loud we were kept awake until 11:30 p.m. This place makes Motel 6 look good.
- 4/5
Needed rest and got plenty of it
- 5/5
My room was clean and well taken care of
- 3/5
Room was clean although we did find some wrappers under the foot of the bed. Convenient location.
- 5/5
Always a pleasant stay
- 1/5
Stole property and housekeeping denied it. Management denied it as well
- 1/5
Not satisfied due to employees did not offer a deep discount after all the business I have given them. Like offer a weekly or monthly subsidized discount.
- 5/5
The person who greeted me was very nice and friendly. The room was pleasant and very clean. Because it's not adjacent to a freeway, outside noise was very acceptable. The only concern I'll mention is that the mattresses are very firm. It was OK for me, but some people may not like it. Parking seems to be plentiful. There's no breakfast served, but there is a place just across the street to grab some food. There seems to have been some sprucing up recently, and everything is aesthetically pleasing.
- 5/5
Older building but very clean and neat. Slept very well in very cozy beds.
- 4/5
The place was clean. I was pleased they had an iron and an ironing board in the room. The towels need replacing, they were too rough and thin.
- 4/5
We walked back downstairs to the desk and told them we can not stay in that room right away they gave us another room. The second room was a lot cleaner smelled a lot better. I believe if you’re going to rent rooms and have a hotel many rooms smell like smoke so the rooms that they know people smoking they should go back in those rooms and repaint the rooms and change the carpet and clean those rooms up. There is no other complaints the beds were comfortable.
- 4/5
Clean, coffee in room, convenient location. Easy walk to Claremont Colleges.
- 5/5
staff is always more than welcoming. They have very clean rooms and very nice area. always more than willing to be helpfull. i will continue to book here when i need to
- 3/5
The room was nice, clean, and spacious. The service was also on point. There were two issues though: First, the bed was far too firm and hard. Second, the space ONLY has very aggressive fluorescent lights. To my surprise, there are no small, warm light lamps to be found. These are simple fixes to me. Otherwise, it was adequate.
- 4/5
The bed was comfortable.
- 4/5
Room was clean and looked like just remodeled
- 5/5
Good water pressure and good hot water. Well lit room so reading was no problem. Clean room. No problems.
- 5/5
My top 5 in overall stay is CL
- 2/5
The prices are too high for what they are offering
- 5/5
Great spot close to the LA Fair. Great deal and location to Thai Restaurant and Norms. Will stay again.
- 4/5
The hotel was clean but and ok for the price. Bottle of shampoo some were used
- 1/5
People at the front desk were just helpless DIDNT Yelp and didn’t even provided me with another key , or even apologize for the door not locking or working , I asked to be moved to another room They only had one room according to them near The fwy so I thought I won’t sleep well because of the noise of the cars very bad experience not happy
- 4/5
It was nice for a couple of days.
- 4/5
The parking is crowded but the location is perfect for us so we deal
- 3/5
Location. Why do I have to use 50 characters here ?
- 5/5
Nice and clean cozy quite small I would and am going to stay there again.
- 3/5
Stayed for 2 nights and saw roaches. The front desk seemed annoyed that i asked for an extra pillow the first night. Second night my son threw up in the bed and requested replacement and all they had was a flat sheet and the pillow cases but no extra blanket.
- 5/5
Second time staying and will come back, for sure! The room was super comfortable, clean, quiet and felt super safe!
- 5/5
I loved the sleek clean new finishes - no odors, just enough of everything for a quick overnight in Claremont. Will recommend it.
- 4/5
Check in and out easy... pool is lacking parking crowded... liquor store next door created havoc
- 5/5
Good location near food and the 10 freeway. No freeway noise
- 2/5
linens looked dirty,, our mirror looked like nail polish all over ,, curtains had all kinds of crud on them ,, floor under bed not vacuumed ,, gross

Clean, good service nice and very clean place thank you
