When we got to the hotel we were told we had to leave a cash deposit that was never mentioned when booking the room. When we got to the room the bed top blanket had cigarette burns all over it, the sheets had yellow stains, and the bathroom towels had stains on them. The bed was rock hard. The furniture was all falling apart. There was a chemical like smell and the a/c was not keeping the room cool. The shower head was rusted and there was barely and water pressure. If we hadn't gotten into town about midnight we would of looked to find somewhere else to stay.

The room was extremely outdated, dirty, and covered with stains and damage on the walls and furniture. It was the first time in my life that I avoided going back to my room because it felt so disgusting. To make matters worse, on my last morning the key cards stopped working. When I went to the front desk for help, the staff member was rude, complained to me, and threw the key card back at me. I felt completely disrespected. Overall, this was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place

A/c ran constantly, roof had leaked and flooded the room. Ceiling was poorly painted over stains, bathroom door was mildewed, lighting was poor, no table lamps, no clock, trim was missing, tiny vanity was falling off the wall, no hot water so no shower! I will never stay in a Rodeway again!

This place was completely unacceptable. I booked for two nights but left at 6:30 in the morning after the first night with no sleep, as it was filthy and I felt like bugs were crawling on me all night. There was no one in the office to assist me or provide a refund for the night I did not stay, and despite reaching out, I have received no response. I have photos available if needed.

This is the worst motel I've ever stayed in. We rented 3 rooms in total for one night because we wanted to enjoy Clearwaterbeach, BIG MISTAKE! The rooms smelled horrible! There were holes in the walls, mold in the bathrooms with visible water damage. The floors were dirty, the linens were filthy, towels dingy and stained. THERE WERE LIVE ROACHES running around and my son had 2 (what we think were)fleas on him. We spent WAY too much money to sleep in a place worse than a dumpster.

Location was good for our purposes. The property needs repair and updating. The white sheets had numerous stains on them. There were holes in the walls. The towels are dingy and stained. Our shower curtain was ripped. It just didn’t look or feel clean. The rooms look different from the pictures.

I didn't stay there. Roaches all over the bed and floor, holes in the walls, next door had music blaring and the lady passed out on my door step. I need to know how to get my $ back. Completely unsafe and unsanitary.

I needed this hotel location for convenient access to my purpose for travel, visiting relatives nearby. The kitchenette was nice, but I went to Walmart and bought a cheap coffee maker and K-pods for $24, then took it to my kids' house when I checked out. Only problem I encountered, besides the disrupted highway access due to road construction was that hot water was rather unreliable. The room's climate control was good quality, and the room was comfortable overall.

This place is terrifying. Upon check-in, the owner told me that he just gave my first floor room away about 10 minutes ago and I would have to go upstairs. No problem but a weird thing to say. The room was a dump. The bed and sheets appeared to be clean, but there were cracks in the walls, furniture, broken, and in dis repair, and no hot water. The worst part was, the owner got a fight with someone right next-door. There was yelling and throwing things until about 2 AM when the other person left.We paid for two nights, but did not go back after the first one. This place is a complete dump. Stay away.

Room and staff. Accidentally booked a smoking room, didn’t know they still offered that. No biggie, that was on me! However there was mold on the ceiling, the room smelled as such as well. Could have maybe been the WINDOW UNIT that is mounted into the wall! The toliet moved every time you sat down or got up, to the point I thought our child fell in the bathroom. The cabinets were falling apart. The bed leg was nearly broken off and the “blankets” that were on the bed felt like the curtains that were hung up! Booked the room for 4 people; 2 adults and 2 kids yet there was only two towels left. The door although locked still appeared to be open! The shower took nearly 10 minutes to become like warm! 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! I personally do not feel that it would pass any health inspection performed!

Room was run down . Toilet paper holder tore off wall . Main door security lock would not function. To many people hanging out outside -operators must be renting rooms out by week or month. People sitting outfitter rooms with doors open . Vagrancy feel . Scary .

You certainly get what you paid for - do to a booking snafu I was in need of a a cheap room for one night quick. Needless to say, a $79 dollar room in Florida, is exactly what you expect it would be. To be fair, the room was clean. But clearly there was patched repair work to many spot in the walls, the AC unit in the room was on its last legs and there was a gap at the bottom of the door that allowed cigarette smokers from the other guests to waft in the room on a putridly humid night. The box spring bed was no treat either. I didn’t bother to unpack and hoped to baby Jesus that I wouldn’t be covered in bed bugs when I left in the morning, which I wasn’t and wanted to provide some positive feedback. The place looked run down and can definitely use some TLC, but like I said, you get what you pay for.

I was charge for a fee for 2 service animals. The property manager stated that my visitor could only be there for 15 minutes or she would charge me for another adult. She charged me a whole $240 extra. I tried to leave on Friday instead on Saturday. I was told I wouldn’t get a refund. The people there are money hungry and the pool was nasty. The rates were reasonable. They have a pool. First off, it's always impossible to turn in because of all the roadwork, but that's not any of their fault. We arrived in the evening and there was a whole bunch of construction workers outside in the parking lot. They were partying, there was loud music playing.. They're partying above the lobby on the little terrace thing. Before he even made it to the room, somebody stopped me and asked me if I could get any cocaine. The room was dirty, butt was supposed to be clean. I think i've read around blankets because the once on the bed had loose debris and trash on them. And my favorite part is the cockroaches, probably that were all over the room play like it was nothing. Complain to the owner. I don't know whoever was working in the front desk about the room. Cleanliness about the cockroaches and about the fact that the Wi-Fi is pretty much non-existent. Although they claim to have it. And they were not in this rooms, and they said that it was nonrefundable, so we were stuck here because we absolutely already paid for it. This was a terrible experience and a waste of my hard earned money and I'm very very beyond disappointed. There were no plugins, except for like one.By the sink outside the bathroom or one in between the beds period they didn't even have the microwave plugged in.So I had to unplug the first two bucket in and the television channels do not work.

Upon checking in, we were shown both rooms in our booking. I was charged $40 for my pets' stay with us. A smell that was not noticed at first was evident in one of our rooms, a heavy mildewy smell. While both rooms had kitchen sinks and refrigerators, they also had roaches. My dogs were the cleanest additions to this property. We had to plunge one toilet. One shower came out half from the spout into the tub and half from the shower. The trash can outside our rooms was filled and overflowing, and never emptied. Within 5 minutes of checking in, a police car showed up and 2 people who had been hanging around the front lobby were spoken to by police. It appeared that some people live in this place. The pool area looked great, but it is right in front next to the busy highway under construction, and the next morning when those trucks and machinery geared up, it was very noisy. I undersrand this is a temporary matter, but until then, do not expect a restful stay.

We checked out the day we checked in. The smoke detector was missing, but wires were exposed, there were long exposed nails not flush with bottom of cabinets, cabinets did not close, knobs we’re missing, the AC unit was plugged in on same wall next to bathroom sink, the toilet seat had burn marks, an interior door had packing tape running down the length of the door…. We don’t know if it was a closet or an adjoining room, the sink had ants in it. This was room number 115. Please investigate. We were too afraid to even spend one night there.

The “kitchenette”, was a collection of (previously used, I’m sure) unmatching, paint-flaking cabinets and countertop. The only reason I stayed at all was because it was late, and I was exhausted from staying at a family members deathbed. I’m sorry there’s not a “no-star” rating. I’ll never stay again.

Not saying anyone couldn’t stay here just being honest heads up and matter of fact no problem there sorry not sorry if that hurts other feelings but the place is a dump. At a $100 no sir

I found this hotel to be a good value. The staff was helpful and the room was clean. The shower was especially nice -- the tile looked relatively new and the water pressure was strong. If you're looking for a value play on a hotel in the Clearwater area I recommend the Rodeway Inn.

I was staying only 2 nights in this property. However, I didn’t like the staff that was giving the room which the door wasn’t immaculate. The water system was not really hot and warm enough in order to take a shower. Otherwise, everything was fine to consider eventually.

I went there with a paid room showed the guy he could not find my reservation completely confused with a language barrier so they're for 2 hours. Completely having a meltdown I gave up and went down the street who got me right in at Howard Johnson. I would never recommend this place terrible customer service and even after paying he told me to come back in the morning when I just had an Uber drop me off at midnight never recommend this place

False advertising- the pictures online show nice, new, clean rooms and a decent looking property but it is a run down roach motel. The painted over black mold and cockroaches caused my wife to have an allergic reaction to the toxic environment and she ended up in the ER to get treated for hives. Doors were broken and unable to lock them, this is not safe. Room was filthy. Zero refund policy at the property dispite these conditions. We checked out after 1 night of our two night stay.

My wife and I stayed there 19 year ago. So we thought we give it a try again. Room was clean. It had a good refrigerator. No coffee pot or closets to hang clothes? Bed was conformable with clean sheets. Pool was nice also. We bought a coffee pot at Walmart because the office had nothing in the morning. We would, and will, come again. I didn't think it was bad for the price. Didn't experience any troubles posted online. Construction and traffic is terrible on SR19. Not Roadways fault!

Having prepaid through Orbitz, I was quite shocked to find I needed to make an additional deposit, and very specifically, in cash upon arrival. The roads are under heavy construction and we missed the entrance and had to spend another 30 minutes getting back to it, due to the aforementioned construction. Upon entering the room, we discovered both the television and the in room phone were broken. There were no bedside lamps, only a very bright fluorescent light installed over the bed that you had to walk across the room to turn on or off when entering. There was no hot water. The bed was hard and very uncomfortable. They gave us 4 very tiny pillows for a king size bed, so bring your own if you plan on stayong here. We had a concert to go to and when we returned at 11pm, we decided to just go ahead and check out and make the 90 minute drive home. Thats how bad it was.

First thing I saw was roaches. Bad start. Then there were cigarette or some kind of burns on the bed. The door did not lock unless you used the bar that flips over. If you leave the room, you can’t lock it. Why I’m saying all this? No way I was staying in that room after I saw at least 5 roaches. I have video proof. Front desk guy was doing his best and that was appreciated. I just wanted to sleep. Moved me to the room next door. Pretty sure that wasn’t going to solve the bug problem. Didn’t see any roaches. Still burns on sheets and covers. One of the locks didn’t work but it would lock if you left the room and the key would open the door 👍. A/C looked 20 years old and had no vent slats but it produced cold air. I’m ready to sleep. For some reason I fall asleep to the sound of the TV. Well, TV wouldn’t turn on. Called front desk and he came immediately. I said “the only thing I didn’t check was if it was plugged in”. You guessed it, not plugged in. Then the remote didn’t work. Had to get up to turn TV On or OFF. Fell asleep 😴. Woke up to go to restroom. Hello there Mr. Roach on the toilet seat. Good thing I didn’t just plop down on the seat and hear a little crunch. So, bugs probably crawled on me, but I was so tired. Next day, ice machine not working. Oh yeah, the refrigerator shelves on the inside of the door were duct take. To keep stuff from falling out. Classy 👍. There’s more but you get the picture. AWFUL!!!

It was like walking into a Saw trap. I didn’t know what was going to surprise me next. The furniture was broken and falling apart. There was what appeared to be dried blood on the sheets. There were holes in the walls and pieces of the ceiling were falling down. There was no hot water. I do NOT recommend this place for your stay. When I went to the front desk to voice my concerns all I got was faked shock and half hearted apologies with no offers of remediation. I checked out immediately and went elsewhere.

Cigarette hole on bedspread and sheets not changed. Rest of room and bathroom clean. Definitely have long term guests living in hotel. For a quick night was what was needed but will not rebook this location. 10 minutes up the road is a better looking Rodeway Inn
