I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at your property. While the staff member on duty was friendly and attempted to assist me, the overall experience did not meet the standard expected for the price point. Upon check-in, I found hair in the bedding of the first room. When I alerted the front desk, the staff member simply brushed the hair off and replaced the same duvet rather than changing the sheets. I later discovered more hair on the other side of the bed and noticed that the couches and carpets were visibly stained and poorly maintained. Due to these issues, I was moved to Room S. However, this room also had significant cleanliness and maintenance problems, including hair in the bathroom, stains on the walls, and a complete lack of hot water in both the bathroom and the kitchenette. I was forced to wash my daughter’s bottles in a common area sink. Furthermore, I originally paid $360 for a Penthouse suite, but was moved to a room valued at $266. Given the significant downgrade and the numerous hygiene issues encountered, I am requesting a refund of the $94 price difference. I hope you will take this feedback seriously to improve your housekeeping and maintenance standards. I look forward to your prompt response regarding the refund.

Our stay here was amazing! We chose the "S" suite and it was absolutely beautiful. My fiance and I only live about 30 minutes away and were looking for a little getaway and we found it. This place is so quiet, you would never know there are other guests there. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. We already have our next stay booked! I highly recommend this place!

I appreciated that our lovely room had an outdoor veranda style seating area directly on the parking lot (which was very quiet & remote across from a country field). This allowed me to drove within a foot of the room entrance which was perfect for my handicapped mother who joined me since she can barely walk. Nice, relaxing stay!

No amenities on site. Check carefully before going that you don't expect breakfast (in a bag but not in any other form), food or bar on site. It's basically a room - that's it. Be careful when picking a room, if you pick one w the letter "B" on it, you will be in the basement. It smells like a basement, and has no natural light.

This used to be a great place to stay but it has changed. The room was musty and in the basement. The lighting didn't work, the internet did not work in the basement. Breakfast was a paper bag of processed orange juice, processed instant oatmeal, 2 bags of pretzels, a sleeve of processed donuts - no thanks. No coffee. and being the only car in the parking lot, it was strange for her to ask for the make and model, also to emphasize the no pets - as if there was a ferret in my luggage.

Low water supply in Room B2 shower. There is only a single bar to hang towels. No hooks or extra shower bar to hang towels. Wifi does not work in the basement, I went up to the first floor and it worked great. The padding for the third person couch bed was miserable to lay on. I got to try a temperpedic queen bed mattress which I always wanted to try. No chairs not counting the sofa couch. Perhaps a folding chair would be useful. Ominous disclosure form stating that you would owe 299$ if you were found to have smoked in the room. We don't smoke so no bid deal. Other disclosure is that if you show up with a pet you will be evicted. I don't believe I saw any notice of that before I booked the room and they had already collected my credit card. We don't have any pets so we had no issues.

The overall stay was ok. I decided to take this stay just as a solo day from home life… however I felt the need to continue to confirm whether or not if I was planning to have a guest. The check in woman wanted to know a few too many details of the reason for my stay. She continued to personally show me the inside of the room with precision. It was very unusual to have check in to do this. A little overbearing-I suggest. Of the hotels that I have ever booked, I never experienced this and it came off as a little racially motivated. Nice room to some degree and wonderful location but I prefer not to return

Everything was pretty good! They gave us a breakfast bag since they don't serve a hot breakfast. There was a Keurig in the room with an assortment of coffee and tea. The worst part was during the night, the fire alarm went off. I called the office to tell them and see what was going on. I was half-asleep since I was woken in the middle of the night. I must have asked the lady what to do, and she very rudely said, "I suggest you do like you did in high school and get your ass out!" So unprofessional. Then about 5 minutes after the fire alarm was set off, a lady barged into our room without knocking and said they were checking rooms. Again, very unprofessional.

In the second floor rooms, sliding glass doors very near to the bed connects the room to shared balconies with other rooms. I stayed in the V-suite and had 2 doors connecting to 2 balconies closer to the bed than the bathroom door was. The staff was friendly though, and the bathroom and walk in closet alone made up for it.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to Merriweather Post Pavilion as my daughter and I were traveling in to see a concert. I loved that it was a unique property and the price was great for a one night stay. Villa Z with 2 queen beds had plenty of room for us both and was just so cute and quaint. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and clean. We had everything we needed and loved the snack bag we got at check it in. The property is older and shows its age in some quirky ways (uneven floors, staircases that twist and turn) but we loved exploring the different areas to see all the hidden gems of the Manor. We will definitely stay here again!

I stayed here a few years ago and it was lovely. They are under new ownership now and it wasn’t a good experience. I called to say I’d be arriving early, and some we were attending an event nearby, we’d have to drop our things off and leave right away. I was told that wouldn’t be a problem. Well when I arrived, I was charged $40 to check in at 3 PM instead of 4 PM. Despite what I was told on the phone. Additionally, there was a very strong food/spice smell in the lobby that was overwhelming, despite the fact that they don’t currently offer any food service. The room was musty, and the seeming sole source of heat was a space heater, placed directly on the carpet!

Our room was clean and comfortable. The Keurig coffee maker was a nice touch, and the microwave and refrigerator were greatly appreciated. There was one minor problem that should be addressed. The shower head in the bathroom needs to be replaced ASAP, and perhaps the shower on-off valve as well. The water flow was terrible (only came out of the center of the shower head), and replacing the head might be all that's needed. On Saturday morning, the fire alarm went off and all guests evacuated the rooms. It took an inordinate amount of time for the fire department to arrive. Fortunately, it was a false alarm. Had this been a real fire, I suspect that the building would be a shambles today. There was nothing in our room to inform us where we should exit and where we should go when leaving the building. I have never been in a hotel where this information was not posted on the back of each room's door, and they need to address this immediately.

This property needs some serious refurbishment. The furniture was old and worn. The box springs had a plastic cover which is never a good sign. The carpet was badly stained. There were a lot of plastic railings around the terraces that were broken and falling apart. The terraces were communal and not private in the least. The breakfast was a Togo bag with high sugar muffins, juice, cereal bars. We left early.

It's an old house operating as an inn. Less privacy than a traditional hotel. It's walking distance from a wine bar. Carpet has multiple stains, but didn't feel unclean. Shower was small but still okay. Plenty of counter space in bathroom. Closet is very large but shelves may not hang a backpack well. There is a shared balcony off some of the rooms. The balcony door had a small air gap. Bed seemed fine. Room had a split vent and a space heater, but was a little difficult to get the temperature right with the vaulted ceilings.

Upon checking in, the hotel manager informed us that she would be only be at the hotel until 10pm. We quickly put our bags down and went out to our event. We came back to the room and went to bed. As I was turning back the covers on my bed, I noticed that the mattress was wrapped in plastic. I thought this was odd but went to bed, only to be awoke by my damp pillow which I realized that although it had a clean pillow case on it, was covering a pee drench pillow. Then I realized that both pillows were soaked with pee as well as the mattress that was "cleverly" wrapped in plastic. How anyone could intentionally do this to someone is beyond disgusting.

The room from distance was beautiful. Upon closer look you could tell the room needs some TLC. Was not enough hot water to fill the jacuzzi. We took a cold to barely warm soak in the jacuzzi tub. Room states it has 2 balconies. 1 was blocked off and the other was available but when walking on it, some places felt very weak like if you stepped in certain areas you may fall through. Bed was extremely squeaky, mattress was comfortable, but every move you make was like a high pitch blast to your head. Paint was peeling and looked to be covering up black mold. Only saw 2 staff members, they were friendly. Biggest complaint was no hot water and false advertising of the availability of balconies and their condition. 2 spiders coming out if the tub when you turning the water on and unsafe balconies. We could also hear everything from the room next door so didnt feel very private. Walking down / up the steps to the balconies felt very unsafe..

I was in town because my father was in the hospital and I needed someplace really close by and this establishment was less than 10 minutes away from Howard county General hospital. It was very conveniently located for food and shopping if needed and the staff was very pleasant, the rooms were very clean, the beds were super comfortable and also clean. It was a great place to get the downtime I needed while dealing with family trauma you know with my father being in the hospital anyway it was a really good place and I will definitely be back again.

Very comfortable beds! Beautiful property. The bathroom is our room was odd, though. The shower area was remodeled and seemed to be patched together. The exhaust fan was excessively load and the water pressure was a low.

The history behind this property was quite fascinating. I liked the layout and room sizes especially the walk in closet.

I thought the hotel was completely charming. Lovely spacious room that was not cookie cutter at all. I didn't want to leave!

This property is beautiful and quiet. Its located in a neighborhood across from a kids farm. My partner and I felt like we had the place to ourselves. Everything was clean. The room themed perfectly. We went in December so it was cold in the room and took some time to warm up. That is not a complaint because I could have gone to the desk to report it but I bring an electric blanket with me everywhere I go and my partner runs hot so we were fine. I definitely recommend this quiet home away from home.

The pictures and explanation on the internet painted this place to be much more than it actually is. Read the other comments from those who stayed here; my assessment will be pretty close. I think the night's stay was worth about $75 at the most.

Room was rundown, microwave kept flipping powerstrip, window had broken blind so people could see in, and shower handle would turn continuously so water went off then on. Bed was very comfortable and soft sheets and towels. Enjoyed the kerig in the room

Property was beautiful and well kept. The inside was clean, bathroom very dated but clean. Overall great stay, it was very warm with no fan but would highly recommend.

The staff was very friendly and communicative; which was a plus when we accidentally left an item and they quickly called us to let us know. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Having stayed here twice before, we expected more than we got. The hotel has gotten a bit run down and they no longer serve their delicious made-to-order breakfast. Thin walls in the basement - we were kept up until 1:00 am due to noise from the room next door.

Basement smells moldy. Owner wouldn’t move me and I have a severe lung condition.

A very very nice boutique hotel. The bed comfort and sheets are the absolute best ever.

The property is old and not maintained. Lots of decay and dingy overall. There were broken shelves, a flickering light, carpet stains and a broken blind on the window. The walls were dirty. The shower was weird - took about 10 minutes to ‘find’ hot water. The folks at the desk were nice, but this place needs lots of TLC. Would not recommend, unfortunately.

Stains on the carpet, mildew in the shower, lack of plugs for charging. Hotel is quaint and has potential but room was very “80’s” in decor and downstairs smelled funny. Breakfast in a brown paper bag was a couple of granola bars, some instant oatmeal, a couple of mini pretzel bags and a couple of Welch’s fruit juice drinks (with high fructose corn syrup). Asked for a bucket of ice and got a half filled bucket with a big triangular chunk of congealed cubes melted together and refrozen. Bed was not super comfy- had a sore back in the morning. Would not stay there again.
