    Hotel is being renovated according to mgt, so check back with them. Pool is closed, game room is gone. Public areas are in very poor shape. Non working entrance doors, damage to walls and floor. Room itself was updatedn bed was very comfy. Room was spotless. Location was nice also. Honestly was worth the price compared to others in the area. Just check for updates before booking.

    Rooms were disgusting. ALL of the towels provided (even replacements) smelled weird and were yellowish. Fire alarms kept going off during our stay. At one point within three hours of our stay, the alarm went off 7 times!! The alarms continued into the next day. They did not have room keys available. Amenities were not provided as advertised. (Could not get a photo of the pool sign explaining it has been unavailable since 06/08/2026.)

    If you want cheap - and absolutely no need for cleanliness, kind staff, safety or any type of maintenance this is your place! It smells like urine at all the entrances, folks leave the ‘secured’ doors open with rocks or a can of soup. The bedroom was absolutely filthy. Everything was dirty, dingy, stains on the walls and furniture . I’m not convinced that the towels or sheets were clean. The room smelled like mold (the filter was dusty) and the towels in the bathroom smelled. The fire alarm went off at 12:30am and not one person from the management did a walk around or safety check. I went downstairs and the front desk person just said it’s been going on and off all day and it was fine to go back to our room. It continued to go on and off until 7am. Please spend a little more and stay someplace else - this place is terrible!!!

    It did have the advertised breakfast Everything else. Check in staff was incompetent, the entire place was nasty, missing ceiling tiles everywhere. An outside door broken, cracked open and padlocked. Most inside doors were broken at the hinges, filled with at least one spot of bondo so so warped it looked like it had been submerged for a week. The pool wasn’t open, SC had it closed, not even the hotel themselves, one soon we rented (bought 2) smelled so bad of mildew it aggravated my asthma and we had to switch rooms. Fixtures havent seen a cleaning rag in their entire lifespan, absolutely filthy everywhere including what looked like bloody/poopy colored fingerprints all over one of the rooms. Beggars and homeless in the back parking lot asking for lighters, etc. So gross. All of it. Holes in almost every wall.

    We checked in went into the rooms look .. Room #1 had black mold on the bathroom walls. The shower curtain had tears in it.The refrigerator was packed with dirty ice..looks like the has not been cleaned for many days Room #2 had towels with dark stains and they were smelly. Room 3 had dirt and stains on the floor We could not stay one more minute in that place. May I also point out that black mold is deadly . We went to the front desk and explained why we cannot stay in a place as unkept as this. The clerk apologized lightly and offered a refund. We we appalled at this experience it was a very busy week for the area most hotels were booked we found a hotel with price at 3 times of what we anticipated to pay. It was a horrible experience.

    The worst ever I did not like the hotel staff. Slyivia She’s like the best staff they got. They are very unprofessional and unorganized the whole time. We was there no matter how many times we put in for housekeeping we never got our own clean. We had to clean our room myself. I kick so much money there to be treated like we were nobody. Buy me been in healthcare field I broke up a fight&they sent the police I explain to the police and I talked to general manager and she was trying to apologize about the situation then on tonight me and my boyfriend work 16 hours we came back here he went and he cleaned the room himself, and he put the towels in sheet outside the door. The little Mexican housekeeping came banging on the door because he was in an asleep and talking about taking them downstairs. because he was in asleep and talking about taking them downstairs, but since we’ve been there, we’ve been asked for housekeeping to clean up and they never did it so he always took the blankets and stuff down stairs does today he was too tired because we’ve been working all week. Also we have been requesting housekeepers to clean up since we got there and we haven’t cleaned. They haven’t cleaned them on one time no matter how many times we scan the QR code I have talked to the general manager and try to get this resolved. Apparently it cannot get resolved. They end up calling the police to head us removed once we got off, which was some bull crap because all we did was put the blankets and stuff outside of the room door. They are very nasty. They do not like to clean up. They barely have any housekeepers and a Mexican housekeeper does not clean that we literally had to clean out the room as soon as we got there because it was sticky and the bed was nasty I am very dissatisfied and I will not be booking there again. Do not waste your time your energy or your money. They have the police there everyday they have too much going on every day from the homeless people until the drug addict

    EXTREMELY unhappy with my stay. It was NEVER disclosed that the pool was closed. And also not disclosed that the fitness room was also closed. Roaches in the bathroom as well. I asked for the owner to contact me. If I do not hear back from you, I will be contacting both Expedia AND my credit card company with a complaint. Had it been disclosed that the pool and the fitness room were closed I would have booked my stay at another hotel.

    2. Unable to watch regular channels on tv, all they had was streaming TV. When all I wanted was watch was the NBA PLAYOFFS on regular TV. For 4 days I couldn't watch regular channels. 3. I booked the for 4 days everytime I went out in evening I to go back down (3rd fl) to the front desk to reactivate the room card because they DEACTIVATED the card every day (,imagine that). 4. As much as I travel I have never seen a hotel breakfast with so little breakfast items. 5. I asked the owner/general if the fitnees room is open she yes, when get to FR a sign on the door reads FR TEMPORARY CLOSE. When back to the front desk the "OWNER " stated is just one machine that's working . 6. Everytime I get off the elevator and get back on the exit door is always propped open with the mat. That's telling me anybody can come and go. And is major security problem. I have no idea what your standards are for a hotel for you to recommend them for a stay. I will definitely will not go back and importantly I will not recommend it to family and friends.

    I was charged for a nights stay after canceling the reservation with Expedia whom I booked the stay with in plenty of time to avoid the charge. You can be sure that I will never use Expedia or book a room through Baymont again. As a pilot, I'm aware of the penalties for not canceling a reservation having stayed in hotels all my working life.

    This hotel is in bad need of repairs and updates. The furniture in our room was so old and dirty i didn't want to sit on it (put a towel on the chair). The floors were not clean...hair at edges of bathroom floor. Cabinets has broken weed peeling off. Bed sheet had a long hair on it. Room smelled musty. Gross!

    Very unclean there was a cockroach in my room. The sheets were dirty. We had a handicap person with us. The elevator was broken and we were never given a different room. We booked a double bedroom and ended up having to be split up into two separate rooms because they couldn’t accommodate the pool was broken with no prior notification.

    So my family and I stayed at this hotel because we were there for our son‘s graduation from Boot Camp however, not knowing the area in the location the Baymont where we live is usually a pretty decent hotel unfortunately, this hotel the property was poorly maintained the room smell of mold there were mold spot in the hallway ceiling. The gym was not accessible pretty much all the doors where you would expect to be able to park it be closer to your room we’re pretty much out of order. The staff otherwise was very friendly. Very willing to be helpful. Very very hospitable. The hotel itself was just horrible horrible horrible horrible. The only good thing about it. Was that it put us close to the base for graduation. I don’t see why this hotel is able to take bookings because it is unlivable and the cleaning was not even clean and in our particular room we found what would be rappers that you would use to roll weed will we have a great experience with the food in South Carolina was amazing and we met decent people that were staying at the hotel that were also sharing the same sentiment as this review

    Nasty...nasty....nasty! This property was not maintained at all. Cockroaches running around, mold in rooms, patio doors that didn't open, pool and fitness rooms not available to use as advertised and the rudest manager ever. This place was so bad we left a day early and didn't get so much as an apology from management let alone a refund. I do NOT advise that anyone stay here.

    Our room wasn’t ready when we got there and there was taco bell and trash everywhere, we had to wait for a new one. The roofs were coming off, there was no pool or hangout area all covered and nasty. And the place smelled like smoke. When we got into our room the pillows were small and flat like everyone had used them. The balcony door had a hole in it to open it and it still wouldn’t open. There were stains on the sheets we had a fitted sheet to cover the bed. and when we asked for toliet paper we only got it after we asked again. And definitely pet friendly you can see that.

    I hated this place…let me count the ways…the floors were dirty…they were out of soap and toilet tissue… there was intermittent wi/fi connection so it was almost impossible to watch tv because it just kept buffering. The outside grounds were littered and not cleaned up during my stay. The breakfast was a joke. They had a 4 slice toaster but only 2 sides worked and it only toasted one side, you had to flip it over to get the other side toasted. It is a nice facility with great potential but obviously a management problem.

    Initially I was given a room that was partially clean, however the staff immediately assigned another room. The bed was too soft for my liking butci dealt with it because it was just one night. Do not expect anything amazing for breakfast. In fact the Oj was watered down. Its not somewhere i would stay for a long period of time but for one night it was ok.

    Beds appeared clean & slept comfortable tho I took my own pillow & blanket. Our balcony faced the pool- which was covered & closed despite it being April & 1000 degrees in Columbia. They also only change towels every 3 days unless you ask. They don’t provide enough towels for all that. Again- I brought my own bc my teen uses every towel that can be found every single time. Upon checkout, I did notify the manager & was able to have some money returned. Only gave 2 stars bc of the beds & otherwise decent room. Place has potential but needs new staff. Indian owned/operated also just fyi.

    Be prostitutes hanging out front, There were men sitting on the curb drinking 18 packs of beer. The doors didn’t lock and the toilet seat was broken. We checked in and after seeing the condition we checked right back out and left to go to another hotel.

    The place was dirty, broken doors, windows, and my room smelled musty. The shower floor had mole in the corners and the breakfast was HORRIBLE. The waffle iron was dirty and there was food splattered on the walls around the eating area. The entire hotel was extremely dated and the pictures must’ve been taken 10years ago. My husband and I ALWAYS book our trips via Expedia because we assume that you guys do the research to ensure that the accommodations are up to standards. Worst place I’ve stayed since I was in my twenties, and that was 35 yrs ago. Also the pool was not working and hadn’t been working for weeks. Oh!!! And the television wasn’t working either, because the WiFi wasn’t connected. Horrible Horrible Horrible

    When we first got there we overhead other guest talking about how their room had blood all over, when we got ro our room we thought it was clean until we went to bed then we found note saying that the beds where not charged. We when to the front deskto tell them where they got super defensive and told my husband that he should call the cops. All we wanted was new sheets. After making our beds the smoke detector started to go off, we went back down to the front desk and all they did was give us a battery. They are very unprofessional.

    I reserved this room on Expedia but paid for it on site. We got to the room and there were roaches, the wash cloths and towels were badly stained, we found 6 bedbugs and turned right around to ask for our money back..Manager refused to come to the property and said they can't refund my money. I will not be using Expedia again. That was 2 hotels in 2 days that I could not get my money back for. And their conditions were deplorable.

    Not only did it smell strongly of mould but it also had roaches and other bugs. Floors disgusting, bedding was unwashed, shower curtain smelled like mildew and the shower floor was stained brown, the fridge was not cold. The last straw was the fact that when you leave the room, the door does not lock correctly. You need to shake it rigorously several times for it to lock (this is alarming as this place is not safe. I literally watched a drug deal take place in the hallway) and when you come back, the door does not unlock unless a staff member does it manually. This is very frustrating as the front desk person is very slow and takes forever to get to your room. after not being able to get into my room after walking from end of the hotel to the other to try the new key over and over I finally asked for a different room. The new bed literally had dirt and sand in it as well as prints from where someone clearly had slept. It smelled gross in there. I called the next day asking for the manager so I can get a refund and the person on the phone asked that I call back in 20 minutes because she was on the phone. Because it was nearly 5pm, I asked what time she was leaving and he said 30m. I called back 15 minutes later to find out she “just left”. Unprofessional and a waste of my time. Note: I could not call earlier as I was working since 6am, before the manager arrived. It’s very clear that this place facilitates drug deals and poor hygiene. this place needs to be shut down ASAP.

    The cleaner they use on the floors is slimy. No wi-fi the entire weekend. Loud banging above. No tv couldn’t even watch a movie on my phone because it just kept buffering.     It was nice just be aware of broken furniture. Chair was broken and I didn’t realize it until after I sat down. The chair flipped backwards and I hit my back on the floor. Notified the desk clerk of my situation I had that night before.He asked me were the wheel for the chair.I don’t know Sir didn’t realize it was broken until I sat down. Ok we want charge you.     Couldn’t sit on the bed. Made for someone 6’10” tall…totally stupid arrangement. Furniture was old, worn, & stained. Staff was accommodating & courteous. Some TVs don’t work, but bathroom was neat & clean . Didn’t have time for breakfast. In room coffee machine was excellent! HVAC was more than adequate.

    Rooms were very neglected. One room smelled of cigarette smoke and was not clean. The second room had a broken door, broken light fixtures, holes in the walls and cockroaches. Staff and management failed to correct any issues so we left and found suitable accommodations.

    Everything was great until our last week, we stayed here during a home remodel and the first three weeks was great but then the 4th week i booked everything the same way i always had except our room went from $60 to $100 per night overnight and I am sorry with the amount of trash and homeless people in and out and room service almost NEVER stopping in for anything and i did see a couple roaches (not badly) this place is NOT worth $100 a night. Thank God our reno finished because I was not going to be paying nearly $700 for a single week here when I could pay half that at a better rated place with an actual suite. absolutely insane especially when we washed our own towels and cleaned our own room our entire stay. Even swept and mopped our room before checking out just because that's the person I am, I dont leave messes no matter how unhappy our last week was

    This place was absolutely filthy. The entire place smelled like something died and the bathroom was disgusting. The customer service was awful. The people working there have no respect or care for the customers staying there. The area is not family friendly and the parking lot was like something out of a horror movie with homeless people wandering throughout the area. I would never stay here again and I recommend that you stay in any other hotel.

    considering it was a 55 dollar room i got what i paid for. The staff was great the room and hotel had some damage but wasnt the worst ive seen. the bed was comfortable and you couldnt hear much road noise which was nice. room was also spacious. the room did have evidence of roaches but i didnt see any live ones and no bed bugs thank god (i work in pest control i know what to look for). top blanket was pretty dirty and the couch was disgusting .water was hot and had good presssure.

    The room had mold in it. Was unable to stay in the room because of the mold smell and the visible mold everywhere as well. After emailing the manager, I got no response and failed to get a refund after requesting one due to the unsafe conditions of the room. As a mother, I cannot let my 2 year old stay in such a nasty room.

    Provide electricity so the hair dryer works. Update common areas and elevators. Have a manager on the premises so that problems can be resolved. Have maintenance staff on site the repair items. Clean the rooms properly. Put soap in the soap dispenser in the bathroom. Have kleenex in the cleanex dispenser in the bathroom.

    Breakfast is NOT a buffet. It’s barely a continental. The sheets had stains on them and I was very hesitant to sleep in the bed. I didn’t want to scare my family but I was worried about bed bugs. I didn’t see any but I do have some unexplained little red itchy bumps on my leg. The room was clean enough to have somewhere to put down my stuff and go to bed…. Kind of. When we pulled and parked there were roaches scrambling around the parking lot. Didn’t see any indoors but a good exterminator seems appropriate. I’d suggest staying somewhere else.

    Property was filthy. There was a broken lamp in our room just laying there on the table. The balcony looked like it's never been cleaned. There was garbage all over it. We found a dirty piece of clothing behind one of the beds. The beds themselves had hair all over them once the top blanket was pulled back. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks and there were outlets all around the property that were hanging out of the wall.

    Pro: Our room was acceptably clean, bed was comfortable. Cons: Unfriendly staff, pool closed, non-working ice machines, empty vending machines, TV didn't work, bedside lamp didn't work.     The first room they assigned me was full of mold - I asked for an alternative room which although had no signs of mold was very damp and large holes in the drapes - I tried to contact Expedia on Sunday morning as I couldn't stay there any longer and would definitely not go back nor would I recommend it. I would therefore like a refund for Sunday night as I checked out by 10.30 on Sunday morning.

    Hotel appeared to be clean overall. Once in our room, at first glance it was clean. However, once I took my shoes off the floor felt wet, like it had been cleaned and a residue was left behind. My daughter and I each picked a bed, One was so soft you literally sunk down into the mattress, the other one felt better, but after sleeping on it for two nights, I woke up with so much back/shoulder pain it definitely was not a good mattress. The room had 2 bath towels, they were so small you could not wrap it around your body. The shower had brackets for what I knew to be for soap, shampoo and conditioner, however there were no bottles present. When I went to the “Market” to see what they had to purchase, it was completely empty and looks like it is used for storage. The hotel receptionist stated they had no shampoos to give. I asked to borrow a pair of scissors too, and of course they didn’t have any either. The breakfast “buffet” consisted of a waffle maker, bread, butter, syrup, froot loops, corn flakes, plain oatmeal and if you were lucky enough you may get a yogurt before the few they put out were taken. A typical juice machine and coffee were the only available beverages. The hotel advertised a game room - I was never able to locate it. I never went to check out the pool, so I can’t comment on that.

    I was upset when I got there it was a hundred deposit cash ONLY. No credit card. What an inconvenience. My plan was to get up and leave for work and not checkout to get my hundred dollars back. I was only staying one night because my job had a workshop in Columbia SC. I stayed here before an it was reasonable and clean. And the deposit was on a card. I told him if i known this I would not have reserved the room. But I walked away and another person with the same issue. He booked her so I waited and he book me with no deposit. My opinion, my credit card has more than one hundred dollars... why ask for cash? The lobby was hot with no ac. The lobby had fans. The room was hot and clean. The ac did work in the room. It was just cut off and hot in the beginning. The couch needed to be thrown away! It was dirty and worn out. No pool. The pool was green. Bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was decent... Dove products. It did it job for one night for me. The workshop was a 5 minute drive...

    When we arrived they wanted a cash only deposit, then after giving it they refused to give me a receipt. Then when we got to the room it was disgusting. Very falsely advertised on here. DO NOT book this property. Sheets and towels were stained, everything was rusted and it was very run down. There was even a booger on the phone. I am thankful the guy at check in was nice enough to give me a full refund because I could not stay there.

    I can’t say that we’ll be staying here again. The hotel itself was off a back road near a bunch of abandoned businesses. There were a number of people wandering the property and we felt fairly unsafe in the neighborhood in general. The lobby had no air which wasn’t a great first impression of the inside. I had paid on hotels.com in advance for the room. When we went to check in, the front desk told me they needed a $100 cash deposit. I told them this was not listed on the website and that I did not have that much cash and would likely cancel our reservation because of this. The employee then said he would make an exception and would waive the cash deposit. We did not even get asked for a card deposit, he just issued us our room keys. The room itself was fairly clean and decent. The bed was fine and bathroom was clean enough. Overall, we do not plan to return next time we’re passing through.

    The facility is extremely outdated. The pictures are not up to date at all. Everything is the gym was broken and had two random dumbbells. No arcade anymore. Pool closed. They didn’t have an actual hot breakfast as advertised anymore either (however they did have a waffle maker).

    We had a late check in for 2 rooms. Staff wasn't pleasant or unpleasant, he didn't have much to say. The facility is dated. Most of the businesses around the hotel have closed permanently. So it's not exactly a comfortable feeling. The rooms are okay with recently installed vinyl flooring. The bedding in one room had stains on the sheets. Maintenance has done a sloppy job painting. The halls are dingy and so is the lighting throughout. We walked over water soaked carpet in one section of hall. Possibly a toilet overflowing from the nearby room? The lobby is not as bad as the halls or rooms. It's just dated. The parking lot is well lit. Overall it was quiet throughout the night with respectful guests all around. Overall, the price is a bit high for what you get, but you get what you get

    This property was not good. The staff that checked me in and the lady who checked me put were the only welcoming people there.     The owner/General Manager is extremely rude and strictly about money. What Normal hotels do to provide adequate customer service, he refuses to do. In example…I shows to switch out my towels because I used one to clean my mouth and hands from food. The others I used as bath towels. He gave me permanently stained towels. I allied him if I could have towels without stains. He replies, if I bring him clean towels, them I get clean towels in return. If I bring him dirty towels, I get clean permanently stained towels I'm return. Enough said. I'm never going back.

    Upon check in I was turned away to return with a cash deposit which is fine however I regulated a first floor room and was assured he was able to book me one. He even told me the room had a great view. Upon getting to the room I realized he must have misunderstood and gave me the top floor and the view was of the back of a gas station. Then there was dirty wash clothes hanging on the shower cutting rod and a missing remote. The room smelt like smoke and because it had been over an hour when I checked in before actually getting to the room they refused to move me. Very disappointed. I’ll see how breakfast is but this doesn’t give me much hope.

    Checked into this hotel and left to go get food and returned to room to shower and sleep. To my dismay there was blood and hair at the foot of the bed under the covers this was found after I went downstairs to ask for a spray disenffectant to spray the bed. And was that I couldn’t have that because he didn’t know where it was located. Returned to my room to my dismay under the covers where specks of blood that reacted to the peroxide that I sprayed on it to make sure it was blood! I then proceeded to return to the lobby to ask for a refund because I wasn’t staying there and this is when the hotel employee got belligerent and sis respectful and would tell me his name!

    Got to room, the tv did not work. The man stated that it was not their tv. He did change tv out for another. The room door was faulty. We reported the first night that the sink was leaking. They stated someone would check it in the morning. Nonone checked it. It leaked the whole week we were there. We had no housekeeping (other than change of towels).After we left, we booked a stay (hoping for a better room), only to be told, we couldn't stay because room was dirty. I pay to stay in a room, THEY are paid to clean it. Do I need to get a new room every day in order for housekeeping to do housekeeping?

    The hotel lobby is beautiful, but room maintenance is poor. Had to wait over 10 mins for desk clerk who was doing double duty with laundry. Worst sagging uncomfortable mattress ever! Internet service was 5 mbps & unusable most of the time. Clock & hair dryer didn't work. Lamp fixture falling apart.

    I’m not one to write reviews, but hopefully this will deter someone who looks at this hotel, like I did, and think well it’s not that bad. It looks ok in pictures. Worst Baymont I’ve ever stayed at if not the worst hotel ever. There was blood on the curtains. The security door to the side was busted. There was police circling the parking lot every night, oh and a busted TV on the sidewalk when we left. 1 star do not recommend unless you don’t have another choice.

    I am 74 years old and never rented a dirty room until now. Hairs on the bathroom floor, toilet. and wash rags. Nasty furniture. I was on a business trip. I did not opt for the cancellation option. I was too tired to fuss especially after working and driving all day. The first room had NON working heater and NON working TV. Was able to move to another room where the nastiness grossed me out. Then here I am carrying all my stuff to room Saturday night and the key did not work. Going with my stuff down to front desk from second floor to find out don't get key card near iPhone because it screws up the card. I will never chose another Wyndham hotel. Did not know how nasty they were!!!

    I left my room that I paid for because of how bad it was. I requested a new room due to power issues in the bathroom. The replacement room was not clean. All three rooms I had, had plumbing issues with the toilets. This has been the worse experience I’ve ever had with a hotel. Staff were rude and blamed Expedia for the service. Expedia has been awesome. Baymont was rude and lazy.

    The property was nice and well kept. The room was well furnished with a comfortable bed. Friendly staff. The bathroom floor was not very clean and breakfast was very basic. But I would stay there again. Safe with lots of security cameras.
