    The ceiling started leaking in my room. The room I reserved had a jacuzzi. The room They relocated me to didn't have a jacuzzi. They only reimbursed me $20.00 for my trouble. I need to speak with Expedia.

    I was there to basically sleep from 10p - 5a. I was working a camp at the nearby Army base. I departed to early for breakfast. I will say the staff were awesome. I put my stay in one day short and I received a courtesy call to go ahead and pay for the day and I could remain in the same room which was extremely helpful because I had no idea I had done that. I felt safe because the property is very well lit. I departed and returned during dark hours. I would definitely stay there again.

    Very comfortable, very clean. Loved the pool area. I was a little worried when I saw the outside of the building. It looked in need of a lot of cleaning, painting, window screens etc. But once we went in, and especially when we got to our room, we were completely satisfied. The staff was great too.

    No comment Hairs on shower curtain and in tub. Half used beaut condiments like shampoo, body wash, etc. Each new tenant should receive new on. But was told the down replaced any until tenant after tenant uses them up. Very unsanitary. Noisy at night. Refrigerator kicks on and off loudly. Air conditioner makes lot of noise

    Sure! If you like roaches!!! My family traveled 9 hours for my husbands bct graduation at fort Jackson. I booked 2 rooms for all of us through hotels.com which was the only easy part. Check in took 45 minutes with 1 employee in training, left to check 5 people in. The hotel itself is older, 90s interior that didn’t bother me at all. I actually love that. Cleanliness was very much lacking. Yes it was dirty. I found the first roach within 10 minutes of getting to our rooms. Reported and physically took the bug to the front desk. Apologies were made, a call to the manager was promised & that was it. Neither of the mini fridges worked which I wouldn’t normally care, except I have a type 1 diabetic child and need his insulin to stay cold. I improvised and used ice/bucket. Also reported, apologies made etc same routine. Day 2, my kids attempted to swim in the indoor pool. It was green, cloudy & smelled like a pond. Reported etc.. the pool man was off. Last day found another roach, pool had been shocked so much your eyes burned to sit in the room after 5 minutes. 3rd roach walked right in front of my feet there. A room change was offered after my last roach report, and we were leaving in less than 7 hours at that point. Somehow their miscommunication in my reporting became my fault bc I didn’t seem to have “that big of a problem since I stayed”. Overall, I would’ve rather stayed in my van. The older little breakfast lady was a sweetheart & the only positive in that disgusting place.

    The only saving grace honestly is the awesome woman who works in the mornings doing breakfast. She is always so polite and helpful. We have always enjoyed her demeanor over our visits. The property on the other hand is significantly degraded. The staff did not follow through with needs even when addressed many times with different staff being asked for the needs. Breakfast is a mixed bag, they have cereal and muffins always with instant grits and oatmeal available. The hot food is usually a meat and eggs or potatoes and eggs. Get to the dining room at least an hr before it is done serving or you may miss the hot portion. The pool area really makes the property but they need to do maintenance on the ceiling desperately. The hot tub is nice after a long drive. The floors were very dirty and that was consistent through out the building, a simple pass or two of a vacuum would work wonders for the hallways. The room was typical size and does have a microwave and mini fridge which is very nice. The issue we had was the floor looked as if it had not been vacuumed in a long while, the bed linen did not seem fresh at all and we definitely did not sleep in the bedding. The chair in the room was completely torn up, even missing a complete/large corner of apolstery from the back of the chair. There was a used soap bar in the tub and they were out of conditioner and body wash on the wall, and a very small amount of toilet paper. We asked for them to be replenished but was ignored.

    They moved me to room 109. Way better, only complaint all lamp plugins wouldn’t hold a small power block for cellphone. Outside of building was dirty from dust and algae. Needed power wash.

    It is an older hotel, but they do a good job cleaning the rooms & hallways. But you can smell the cigarette smell in the hallways. Could use a refresh (new carpet / paint). The staff were all friendly and when we went to the pool (5 min after it was supposed to open) and he wasn't quite done cleaning was very nice and explained just needed to wait like 15 more minutes. The machine for pancakes was not working & the buffet only had potatoes and chicken for breakfast... no eggs?

    Our only complaint was the breakfast buffet the first day of our stay. There were only hard boiled eggs, old potatoes and hard sausages. The second day had a better set up with egg patties and softer sausages. The attendant was sweet as were the housekeeping staff!😌

    The heater in the room was broken and was giving off 80° heat on an 86° night. We had the air conditioner on but could not cool the room. The one bed was soaked through on the left end. The other bed had mud all over the sheets. It refused to take a,shower as there was a black ring around the tub.

    In better condition. Upon entering the room we agreed that we simply could not stay at this hotel. The walls and carpet were heavily stained, the furniture looked 30+ years old. It had to be the original furniture - worn and tattered. Then the most important test. We laid on the bed, looked at the room from that vantage point - all the stains on the walls and ceiling the pungent and unpleasant odor permeating the hotel was even stronger in the room. We jumped up from the bed reflexively and started looking for a new/different hotel. Once we booked a new hotel, we informed the front desk staff that we could not stay. They said they understood and would refund our money minus $25 for a cleaning fee. OK 👍

    The hotel was very disappointing. It was dirty, the room had a very old musty smell. We ended up not staying there. After checking in , we actually left and went next door to the Hampton Inn.

    The customer service was amazing, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. The room itself was okay, but there were a few cleanliness concerns, including crumbs on the floor and the tub not being completely clean. I also had an issue with the iron burning a hole in my shirt, even though it was set on the linen setting at the lowest temperature. Other than those concerns, the overall stay was okay.

    Ended up not staying. Had some issues at check in as I was initially paying cash, had to add it at atm and didn’t feel like going back after learning pets not welcome. We were in town so my daughter could see her dad once more before he declines and I wanted to ensure a discount would be honored as he’s a veteran. Hotel looked nice in lobby but I do believe it may be Indian operated.

    This hotel is now owned by an investment firm per a sign in the lobby. It was very dirty and not maintained. Our first clue was that there were only about 5 cars in the parking lot, a pile of couches in the parking lot, and several screens on the windows were torn. At first we weren’t even sure it was still in business. Staff was friendly but after checking in and getting to our room we decided to leave. Mold and rust were in the room, a lamp shade was broken and torn, the curtains had small holes in them, and it was obvious it was not kept up. We left and went to another hotel.

    My room window was propped open like they were letting people in the window both of my rooms that is not safe and good second there was a bug in my sheets so I have to order new sheets. The staff was great. The breakfast food was great. They need to update the painting inside and out and pressure wash the building. I did not like that. I did not receive a refund for a stay that I didn’t stay at that was $130 of incidentals that I did not even use.

    The staff were very helpful and pleasant. However, the rooms and facilities were definitely well worn (torn curtains, worn out carpet and damaged walls). Breakfast was wanting as it only included chicken nuggets and potatoes, along with dry cereal, etc. Missing scrambled eggs, bacon.... not what I would call a full breakfast buffet as advertised. The pools and hot tub didn't look clean and inviting either. Too bad as it wasn't what I remembered Country Inn and Suites quality looked like.

    I can't believe you really want my opinion. This isn't about the hotel stay, that was in March. When I made this reservation it inserted the wrong date. I immediately contacted you folks at Hotel.com to get it straightened out. I was basically told you wouldn't correct the error. I even contacted the hotel manager, she said all you had to do was contact her and she would allow the refund. Your representative was terrible, kept saying the hotel was the problem. I stayed there on the original date I wanted, but you would not refund me for this recent date. I WILL NEVER USE YOUR SERVICE AGAIN, AND ALL MY ASSOCIATES WONT EITHER. Your website made the mistake, but I paid for it. Still can't understand how it changed the date . Very disappointed in how your representatives treated it like it was nothing. They had more than thirty days to correct it but chose not to, well say goodbye to a former customer.

    Great room ! Out dated by clean . The chair in the living room is stained and old. I just put a towel on it. The Jacuzzi was really nice. The bathroom was big and nice. The bathroom was really clean. The pillows were the only thing I didn’t like, but the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was really good. The staff are all very Polite and nice. I would definitely stay here again.

    Cleanliness (or lack thereof) The room was visibly dirty. Specifically: The Carpet: Sticky in several spots and covered in mystery stains that I didn’t care to investigate. The Bathroom: Grime in the tile grout and hair in the shower that definitely didn't belong to me. Furniture: The upholstery on the "easy chair" was frayed and looked like it hadn't seen a steam cleaner since the Clinton administration. Condition of the Property The fixtures are dated and falling apart. The AC unit sounded like a jet engine struggling to take off, yet managed to do very little actual cooling. The walls are paper-thin; I was treated to a full audio documentary of my neighbor’s phone conversation until 2:00 AM. Bottom Line There is a difference between "budget-friendly" and "poorly maintained." This hotel falls firmly into the latter. Save your money and your sinuses—find somewhere else to stay. Pros: It has a roof. Cons: Smells like damp regret; hasn't been deep-cleaned in this decade; general lack of maintenance.

    The woman at the check-in desk was very hospitable. Everything else needs to be torn down and scraped away. The hotel is very old, and it shows. The hallways are dark and dreary. A pervasive odor of weed and stagnant air throughout. The furniture is old and worn. The carpet is from a different century. There was standing water already in the tub. The pictures on their website are inaccurate and don't represent the ancient structure. Not worth the money and I'm being kind.

    The property is not well maintained, cleanliness was not good at all. Furniture in rooms we had were stained and looked dirty, carpet was dirty granddaughter was crawling on floor and pants were nasty when she was done. My daughter n laws bathroom was dirty when checked in and asked for someone to clean it and they never came so she had to do it. I would not suggest staying there. The only good thing is the staff was very friendly and nice.

    We had been driving all day and decided to pay a little more for a hotel we thought we could get a good sleep. Nope….party in the parking lot outside our room and in the hallway outside our door. All night! I think people live in this hotel. We called reception three times but they never picked up. Finally at 3am we got dressed and went to the front desk and they said there was nothing they could do even tho they acknowledged the noise. We asked for a refund but they said they couldn’t since we booked through a 3rd party (Expedia). We left and found a place to sleep in our vehicle. To top it off the room was disgustingly dirty - hair, stains you name it. We complained to Expedia and they called the hotel and someone named ‘Trey’ lied telling Expedia we never called or told reception about a problem. So frustrating! Stay away from this hotel!! We will never book a country inn and suites ever!

    - There was no smoke alarm in the room. There was a place where the smoke alarm had been, but it was not there. - The water pressure for the shower was almost nonexistent. - The handle on the sink had to be just right for water to come out. - It took forever for the water to actually get hot. - The remote control for the TV had to be held and pointed just right for it to work. - There was smell in the hallway that can only be described as funky. I know this is a discount brand, but I will be avoiding this brand in the future.

    Desk staff was helpful and friendly. Room was very dated, think 1975 since it was decorated. It was clean though and the bed was very comfortable. I do not understand why some hotels do not take the time to remove stains from furniture, touch up scratches and replace missing caulk on bathroom fixtures. Simple things that can really make a room better. Also, the breakfast sausage was as hard as rock and could have broken a tooth.

    The only positive with our stay was the hotel’s location to the interstate and our relative’s funeral service. The hotel itself was outdated and showed significant signs of wear and tear. It appeared it hadn’t been updated in twenty years. It took over 15 minutes to check in, even though I had a pre-booked reservation. The woman appeared curt with us during check-in. We had no body wash in the shower, and the sink was dirty around the stopper. I had to make two separate trips down to the front desk — once for more bars of soap, the second time for a hairdryer after I discovered one was not provided in the room. The only updated feature of our room was our television; even that was difficult to use at times because the remote lost signal with the television. The phone looked like a 1990s relic long past its prime. The lack of outlets around the small bedside table made it difficult to charge our devices. I was only able to use an outlet on the other side of my bed because I had longer charging cords than my father. The one outlet in the bedside table lamp did not work. I had booked a room with two queens, but we were put in a room with two double beds. Breakfast was lacking. The biscuits were hard, so the only thing I ate was a bagel and some pre-packaged muffins. The staff were more pleasant the next morning, and the front desk employee apologised for issues I mentioned regarding a clog in the sink. This was our first and last stay at this hotel.

    Excellent customer service, Natasha, Tre, & Ms. Brenda. Great staff. Nice breakfast! Room was clean and accommodating. Bathroom and shower nice and clean. The hot tub and pool was amazing. Stayed 7 nights with family. Will definitely stay again when visiting Columbia.

    We never took possession of the room. After viewing the property when we arrived and asking to see the room prior to checking in. The hotel was in such disrepair when we pulled up my wife checked reviews and one site said they had bed bugs recently. Upon entering it was extremely dirty inside with sand like dirt all the way up the stairway. The hallway carpet was stained beyond recognition and the room couch was badly stained. The hotel would have also added a $65 damage deposit to the stay. Total scam. The desk clerk was very kind. She called her manager and asked them on her own to not bill our booking and they refused due to how it was booked on Expedia. I contacted Expedia and they said they tried to contact the hotel and could not get a response. I plan on calling the local health department when I return home and cancel my affiliation with Expedia if I get charged and don’t get a refund.

    The staff was all very kind and friendly. That is the only good part of this hotel. It is sadly in need of repaired and care. The carpet and walls look 20 years old with peeling paint, messed up woodwork, and stained carpet. Our room had a hot tub but the caulk was cracked and missing, grout missing from the tiles. The tub looked filthy. The wall had been repainted but they had painted around the sprinkler system and about 2 in from the ceiling and just stopped. The lighting was dim and one of the three lamps was missing a light bulb. The hair dryer was busted but still in use in the bathroom. The elevator door only opens 3/4 of the way. It's a super cold day for South Carolina, but the room was freezing and we had to turn the temperature way up and then leave to get it to a place where it was comfortable to stay there.

    Young man at desk was welcoming and efficient. Decor was attractive. Unfortunately the beds were full of someone else's hair. Not just a hair or two-- dozens of body hairs. Looks like they didn't change the sheets before we checked in. We were too tired to complain so we just slept on top of the covers.     My daughter in law and I booked a room each. Our rooms were beside each other, but a few minutes later my daughter in law informed me they were changing rooms. In the morning I found out her roomwas infested with roaches. She even took pictures including of a live roach on the bed. Have I known we would have left that evening. Neither my son, nor granddaughter were able to sleep concerned that the new room had roaches too.

    - [ ] Cigarette holes in sofa - [ ] No extra blankets/pillow for pull out sofa - she initially refused me then said they are in closet in room but I looked there first so …wrong!!! She finally gave me a set after seeing my frustration and wrote the room number down - [ ] Had to kill roaches - [ ] Smells sour - [ ] Carpet dirty - [ ] Had to pull teeth to get “extra” towels as there were 4 of us in room and only 3 sets of towels - again she initially said no and there are towels in the room then again from my loom gave me only 2 bath towels and no more face towels. - [ ] Broken lamp - [ ] 4-plug on desk only 2 worked - [ ] Luke warm water as it NEVER GOT HOT no matter how long I let it run - [ ] Breakfast not good This is the WORST place I have stayed in years and will NEVWR stay here again. Disliked this place for sure - sour smell in rooms and hallways knocked and chipped furniture. Property co do tip s were terrible and poor customer service for sure .

    Our room was horrible. It had a bad smell. The pool floor has hair and such on the ground. Most of the screens for the window were hanging off the side of the building. There was no blow dryer and no Kleenex. The front desk person said they were giving us the biggest room. It was two queen beds and was clearly missing a couch from the room. The 4.8 stars was 100% incorrect.

    I booked for a party of 8 through hotels.com and it split us into 2 rooms. I made the incorrect assumption that my rooms would be connecting since I had several minors with me. Wrong. I am given 2 rooms next to each other floor. Not ideal, but we would make it work. -until we saw the rooms. One absolutely wreaked of cigarettes and weed. So I had to ask for a different room. We ended up on the same floor still, but the room was gross. Hair all over the bathroom counter, toilet, and pubes all in the shower. The lamps had holes, the curtains had holes… it was just… not the standard I’ve come to know at Country Inn and Suites. Do yourself a favor and stay at any of the other 4 or 5 hotels on this block!

    So before I booked I always read the reviews. Some were good and some no so good. We stayed for 1 night and it was fine. Something to consider it is a older place and what comes with a older place is outdated stuff. It was comfortable and you are only staying to sleep there, not hangout. If you want something fancy go stay at one of the newer hotels. For the price I believe I got my monies worth and the staff was fantastic. Would I stay again yes.

    The place is old, needs updating, the room & the carpet smelled musty and moldy, the room key took 3 times to unlock and move the handle before it engaged, the electrical outlets were old and did not fit my plug ins, the shower was hard to engage, the TV remote volume did not work, the remote in the living room did not work, there were no USB outlets to plug ANYTHING in, there was short staff, so service was EXTREMELY slow. If I had known someone in the area, I would have NEVER spent time here. It was HORRIBLE and I don't know how your owners can consider to honestly book this place.

    From the front desk clerks to the cleaning staff to those who kept the breakfast buffet supplied each morning, the hotel was excellent. However, those planning to use this hotel should be aware that the bathroom is VERY small. The door barely misses the toilet when opened and the toilet is so close to the tub that there is no room to place the bath mat on the floor. Beds are comfortable but the rooms are not as noise-proof as we would have liked. We could also hear folks talking outside our window from the second floor. The hotel is in close proximity to Fort Jackson for anyone going to see the graduation of their soldier from BMT.

    Everything was great. I wish I remember the name of the employee who checked us in around 5pm on Oct 7- she was absolutely so funny and welcoming. She even arranged for my in-laws to have a room on the same floor as us. We loved this location for our visit to fort Jackson. Highly recommend it for families with kids as the pool is perfect and the hot tub works great.

    This is an older hotel located among every hotel available. The indoor pool was very popular. The room was large with coffee pot, frig, micro and safe. The bed was very comfortable. Restaurants seem in short supply, mostly fast food, especially considering the number of inns in the area. If you make a left coming out of the inn and drive probably 2 or so miles, there is a plaza on the left with a Paneras and another across from it. I think the name had hickory in it, it’s a sport bar and the food is excellent especially the ribs.

    Staff in general was helpful. But I lost my wallet, on friday at the hotel. I asked to see and review the 5 mins I walked from the front desk to my room. After speaking to every desk person I was told I have to wait until Monday morning to get answers. I lost my wallet, with all ids, credit cards,money etc. These people didnt care what happened to me. I was lucky to have a friend help and a passport. If I didn't, I wouldn't be able to fly home. Mind you I am 13 hrs away with no money, or id's. And I am told to wait 3 days. What corporate persons tell this to a client? It is absurd, and totally unprofessional. The person who made that ultimate decision should be terminated. As a retired manager, I would have given priority to such an issue.

    The property is in extremely poor condition. The room was old with paint on the walls cracked, the room was partially clean with dirt around the edges of the carpet, there were no mirrors in the room & far too many things to mention. We were told that it had been purchased by Radisson but another company was taking over. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. On the positive; however, the staff did EVERYTHING possible to try right the wrongs. They fully understood all of our issues but weren’t able to rectify them.

Beside the amount for the rooms expect a 65 dollar deposit and they are cashless which was a problem for us when we got there which put all 6 of us in one room for the first night we needed 130 deposit and that is when we found out it's cashless.     This hotel was below average for me. When we opened the door to our room it smelled very musty. I attempted to open the shades and window to get some fresh air and was welcomed by a bunch of dead and some alive bugs. The beds were comfortable and linens were clean.     Decent area and the front staff was exceptional. Stayed one night due to football game. Hotel rooms could use updating between stained couch and carpet. Bathroom sink did not drain well at all. Also door at the end of the hotel stayed open all night into the next day. That part seemed unsafe.

    Natassia at the front desk was exceptional. The hotel was pretty dated, and the breakfast was lacking but the rooms were clean and the pool and spa area was a nice treat. Quiet location, and will definitely be back!

    I would be happy to submit pictures. Holes is LR chair. Sofa had seems frayed into tears. Bathroom not cleaned ( this is family site).Bed rumpled. Left before staying and was refused refund. Moved to differerent hotel immediately. Caters to a less discriminating clientele.

    The hotel was conveniently located for our needs. However, it was rundown (under maintained). The indoor pool ceiling is about to collapse. The bathtub in our room was slippery. The carpet looked dirty like it had not been replaced over 10 years. Wallpaper peeling. A little paint goes a long way and could make a big improvement. I will say the breakfast was good.

    Furniture in room had holes in fabric and seams torn on sofa. Toilet had dried stains on front. Ceiling stains from roof leak. Entrance door to lobby has dried dirty hand wear not cleaned or painted for extended time. Halls heavily marked from cleaning carts. In room less than an hour and no refund, wasted that money when we left.

    Our room felt more like a dirty motel than a hotel. It is in the very back of all the hotels, our room smelled, curtains had holes in them, had to use a hair clip to keep them shut. Furniture was well past its use date, paint was peeling everywhere and the bathroom tub has patches were someone tried to fix it. Only decent thing was the breakfast. Will not be staying there again.

    We stayed from July 9th to July 10th and arrived late at night. The woman who checked us in was amazing. She was very quick and warm and happy to help. We got to our room and the a/c was not working. I walked down to the lobby to let them know and she quickly found us another room on the same floor so we wouldn’t have to go back up or down the stairs with our luggage. She was apologetic and quick to resolve the issue and very genuine in her concern. The woman at breakfast the next morning was great as well! She handled a tough situation with a guest like a pro and was very welcoming. You could tell she took pride in her work and area. The room was ok for what it is and what we paid, but we were really just looking for a bed, hot shower, and breakfast the next morning; all which were successfully accomplished by our stay here.

    The hotel looks like it could use some upgrades but was a cute little place to stay. The air in the room felt a little damp when we walked in, but the room was decent and clean. The staff were very polite and very cheerful especially in the morning which was nice to see. Decent quick Saturday breakfast. The hotel was nice and quiet in the evening. I would definitely stay here again.

    The hotel itself was okay. The front desk lady was very. But I will never stay on the second floor again. The people above me was very noisy. In the room I was in housekeeping did not clean it thoroughly a sock was left in the chair.

    We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was well stocked with everything we needed. Breakfast was a pleasant with plenty of options and a quiet dining area to enjoy it in. Overall, a smooth and enjoyable experience. Would definitely stay again!

    The bathroom particularly needed updating and wasn't as clean as it should have been. The bathtub was peeling and the shower didn't work well. My grandchildren loved the indoor pool after a long day of travel which is why we booked this location.

    This hotel is in bad shape as far as cleanliness. I'm not sure how it received high ratings in the past month unless people were staying in better rooms than we were. The hall carpet is really dirty, and the room is so badly in need of a paint job. It really looks sad and let's one wonder how clean everything else it.

    I liked the affordability. I had my grandchildren whom I haven't seen in some time! It was great to see them and have then stay with me! There was plenty of room for is with the King suite!
