Amazing stay at an amazing chain

The room was not really cleaned it had a terrible musty mildewy smell the entire floor reeked of marijuana the breakfast was absolutely horrible

Just pass this place up honestly. Also I got down to breakfast at 9:05am and they basically pushed me out and closed the doors on me and that was it for breakfast. Which after I sat down and took a bite it really didn’t matter luckily I’d grabbed a bowl of cereal just in case. Room was extremely loud I was on second floor and I guess the washer and dryer is located directly beneath the bathroom and they ran them all night it sounded like I had a regular washer and dryer next to my bed. Running at the same time and off balance. Just pay 20 more and go to the Hilton.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. We truly appreciated it after a 10 hr drive. The complementary breakfast was good as well.

I truly enjoyed my stay and I plan to visit this facility again or where ever GOD leads me for my next vacations. The room was spectacular, clean, spacious, the cleaning staff was so kind they kept my room spotless, clean, they were so considerate and I was so comfortable I felt like they were spoiling me. We have stayed here many times because of the same stay every time. Grounds and location are great. Staff always friendly, rooms in good shape.

This Free breakfast was probably the worst breakfast I’ve ever had. The food was edible but there was no organization to it. People were standing and huddled around the toasters making their toast or bagel. It was a mini madhouse.

The elevator was broke and I was stuck2 times, the frog in the room never got cold, no microwave, the pool was closed before 7, breakers was not fresh and fruits were rotten. When I returned the hotel after dinner I had no parking and the guy at the front desk advised me to me to park across the street in the other hotel parking, which was across a busy highway. It was a bad experience

Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean room with blissfully comfortable beds and nice linens. Quiet and peaceful. No harassment about having my service dog with me. Convenient to shopping, restaurants- Cracker Barrel next door - and I-26. All good!

It was a very clean room. Very spacious with lots of room. It made traveling with my kids very easy. Very budget friendly, along with photos being identical to what was shown on the website.

They charged my credit card without my permission for the cost of the stay and incidentals I called them 3 times already still waiting to hear back from manager.

Once you arrive the front area has a very welcome site. What did not like was the room ceiling has sheetrock starting to peel away. The room was clean enjoyed the seating area. The shower area did not have conditioner in the bottle.

I have stayed at this hotel many times but my last stay missed all the marks. Our room was never cleaned despite visiting the front desk to make them aware and ask that it be cleaned as we were out of towels and toilet paper. Beds are very comfortable, staff is nice and the breakfast is good.

The lobby was nice Broken elevators acting really scary, staff not blocking them off. A huge group of weed smoking kids were patrolling the parking lot looking into cars ALL NIGHT LONG. Cracked tiles all over bathroom, dirty stained linens, ac unit making horrible squeaky noise, horrible noise transfer from hallways and outside.

Location was convenient. Room seemed unfinished. Faucet in tub was falling off. Half the lights were out. Toilet was not bolted to the floor correctly and rocked. The were unfinished cabinets( missing pieces) And the room smelled like weed.

Staff was awesome. Room was nice. Y'all need to bring back microwaves in the rooms as well as the bar and ability to get food at the bar. Having the bar and and food advertised but not available really put a crimp in our plans. The bathroom fixtures needed repairs. The staff took them down to refer to maintenance.

We were put in a room outside the elevator, and it was super noisy. Partiers at 3:30 AM. Also requested a copy of my receipt and was told i couldn't get one because I booked through booking.com. That has not happened with any other hotels. Breakfast didn't have fruit or yogurt, very small choices compared to other hotels. Had to ask for a second set of towels.

Close to the interstate and easy to get to. Seems like a safe area. Has a Cracker Barrel restaurant located right next door. Gas station nearby. Dog friendly, offered a hot breakfast. Clean and comfortable room. Ice marker did not work and did not have poop bags in the dog walk area which has been the case with both of our stays.

Location and that it had a couch in the room Mattress need to be replaced, it was VERY uncomfortable! No support whatsoever. The floor was dirty and had something sticky on it. I always wipe the surfaces down disinfecting them and when I was finished, they were brown. That tells me that it hasn't been cleaned. The entire property smelled liked pot ! I think it was the staff at the front desk because it was stronger down there.

Hotel room air conditioning filter was disgusting. Cleaning people never left clean towels but took all old ones. Trash cans always over flowing in breakfast area and front desk. Water did not work on Sunday morning at 430 but came back on. Key cards never worked and had to keep getting them reprogrammed, elevator ok 4th floor down button did not work so had to go to higher floors then go bank down. .

The breakfast each morning was very good with some variety each day. My wife would have liked to see bacon in lieu of the sausage. One complaint was the noise from the domestic hot water pump. They were working on getting it fixed. Also, the rooms were lacking in good locations of plugs considering all of the electronics typically carried by travelers. Staff was wonderful! Facility very clean.

Floor in room was dirty, sticky. Black hair in shower. Breakfast buffet closes at 9:30 staff was cleaning and putting away items by 9:15 and asking guest to move out of the way. All ice machines were not working. The website and in-room materials falsely advertise a on-site bar and restaurant that has been closed for months. This is deceptive marketing. This is not the level of service I would expect from Hyatt. We talked to the manager Brendon upon check out. Told him that we were not happy with the level of service, cleanliness and the negligent maintenance resulting in a safety hazard, compromising guest safety due to water intrusion. He said there was nothing he could do as we booked through Expedia. I understand payment is with Expedia, but the experience is with Hyatt. I expected a proactive approach to this issue, rather than a strategy to avoid it. Our stay was dissapointing as the service level did not align with the the expected premium Hyatt brand.

We stayed here for the Masters tournament as Augusta hotels were ridiculously priced. Very clean and very friendly staff made our stay enjoyable. We would definitely stay at the Hyatt again!

The property was in a location very favorable to us as a visit to the hospital across the street was our reason for staying there. The design and layout of the room was quirky to us, as was the shower area. You had to stand next to the tub in order to close the door, due to the clearance between the door edge and the edge of the toilet. Poor design in my opinion. The rest of our visit was very good!

It was the best breakfast offering I've ever had at a reasonable priced hotel The floors in my room were terribly dirty, black long hair clearly dirt from other people's shoes. The rest of the room was fine but. I also had to move rooms because they allowed three or four dogs into a room nearby and I couldn't take the noise they were gracious enough to move me.

Street noise so loud was impossible to sleep, breakfast wasn’t very good, and the coffee in the room was really bad. Would never stay there again . The staff was very nice, but that doesn’t fix everything else.

Hyatt Place will be my goto hotel when ever I'm in the area. The hotel is far enough from the highway were the noise is barely noticeable. The bed is comfortable and the morning breakfast is good.

This was not reported to the staff bc we only stayed one night. check-in was delayed but staff was very polite and apologized for the wait. The hotel has had a recent makeover with modern floor and wall coverings and was clean and well presented, The room was spacious and well equipped and there was a sitting area with a sofa bed which was nice to have. The hotel was quiet with a Cracker Barrel next door across the car park which was handy for supper. The beds were comfortable. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast area was spacious, clean and comfortable and doubled up as a bar area in the evening. There was a good choice of items available for breakfast including some hot things and fresh fruit. I thought the breakfast was excellent.

Our room was not cleaned during our stay and when I inquired I was told you only get room service if you ask for it. I knew this was not true because I have stayed her 3 times in the pas 2 months.

Arrived to check in and waited 45 minutes before anyone appeared at the front desk. I was given a key to room 610, which was already occupied. The issue was corrected, and I was reassigned to room 620. The floor was sticky and appeared dirty. The door stuck and had to be slammed shut to close properly. The complimentary breakfast did not match the images on the website. Someone three rooms down had the hallway smelling distinctly of weed. I am uncertain whether I would stay here again or recommend this hotel. The only positive aspect is its proximity to a Cracker Barrel.

This hotel has been renovated since the last time I was here. It’s really nice! The room was clean & spacious. The beds are comfortable. A/C was cold. There was a nice size refrigerator, but no microwave. At least I didn’t see one. We enjoyed our stay. Will book again.

Our room was not ready for check in at 6:00 pm so we went and got some dinner. When we returned, it still did not seem completed. Floors were not mopped; we had no shower curtain, our friends had no bath towels. However, the staff were great! They were all friendly and helpful. This place was good the units felt like a mini suite. Beds were not too comfortable, felt like we were sinking in. Woke up with some back pain. The breakfast was great and free so that's a huge plus. However not so accommodating if you have any food allergies. They have adjoining rooms so if you have a family it's great. Ample parking. Right next to a cracker barrel and short drives to plenty of restaurants. Also a short drive to the city for some exploring. Some reviews have mentioned that the rooms felt dated. I completely disagree.

There were shops near by. I didn’t check out any activities. Had to be moved out of the first room because there was something nasty looking all over the sides of the mattress. The second room had toenails on the floor and they weren’t finished with the remodeling. I cleaned up the toenails and went to bed.

The hotel room was clean, spacious and more than what I expected. The concierge was friendly and courteous was the concierge or the front desk person the breakfast tasty I would recommend that people stay in your hotel.

Hotel was dirty, hallways were not vacuumed, noticed M&Ms spilled in elevator, not cleaned up until 2nd day. Coffee maker in room broken, towels cheap and thin. Hotel had an overall smell of deodorizers as if they were covering smells instead of cleaning.

Property was clean. Staff wasn't knowledgeable on any Supply locations. There was a linen shortage ,staff shortage,l was there for 2 days and no collect dirty linens, garbage or clean our rooms

I didn’t like that the water was off and I couldn’t get a shower before work

But no microwave in room so i had to eat out. First hotel in over 10 years thstvdod not hsve microwave. Housekeeping was lame No shower gel in shower Not very attentive. Toilet seat was broken. Anyone cleaning should have noticed. They did nothing until i fell off toilet because seat was broken and loose Took them all day to fix Sunday when i returned to room at about 6 pm housekeeping had not made up my room. I had no cleaan towels and trash was overflowing Not sure if i will stay at a Hyatt again. Many other places to stay I travel quite a bit as a matter of fact inwill be back in the Columbia area in October.

The stay was awful because I had gnats in my room, broken tile in the tub and a plastered wall that needed painting. The water pressure in the sink was terrible and I had a room with a phone but no phone jack to plug it in. I requested another room which they gave me but it had a nasty brown stain in the tub. They front desk clerk had to check a series of rooms before I finally got a decent room for the night. I would never use a Hyatt Place hotel ever again.

I requested fresh towels for two nights in a row and didn’t receive them until the day I was checking out, which is completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one that should be providing basic amenities as part of the stay. Housekeeping was by far the worst part of the experience — completely inattentive and unresponsive to multiple requests. The room was in such poor condition that I ended up leaving and staying with family instead. It’s incredibly disappointing to spend money on a hotel room and not even feel comfortable enough to sleep there. This trip was supposed to be a joyful celebration, but the hotel stay was a major letdown. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay. Basic standards were simply not met.

Our bedroom was a king bed and a very comfy couch that could pull out if needed. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud…I was happy happy. However, the pillows…y’all - they felt like they were the size of a couch pillow. Still comfy as all get out, though (I just need more real estate for my noggin). The complimentary breakfast on our last day was amazing! The gal who made the gravy for the biscuits - chef’s kiss. Also, the best freakin’ sourdough bread I’ve ever, had.

We have stayed at Hyatt places many times and this place is by far the most disappointing visit we have ever had. Front desk was not as attentive as we would expect and check in process took longer than usual. There were no towels in our room, pool area was dirty, the pool itself was really nice, 10/10. No towels at the pool also. But the most disappointing thing was the “hot breakfast” the options were very limited and just didn’t look appetizing. The room was nice and to Hyatt standards.

I rebooked through Expedia and arrived at 12P, the front desk rep said there’s no early check in and I’d have to pay $50. She said I have to wait till 3P. I left, came back at 2:45. She said unfortunately, the rooms aren’t ready yet and she’s waiting for another team member to confirm on what rooms are ready. At this time it’s 2:58P. There’s multiple guests waiting to check in and get a room key. She’s nervous because she was told there are no clean towels in any of the rooms. All of the guests say out loud that it’s okay, they will come back down to retrieve them because everyone wants to check in. I also agreed. She gave us our keys and I went up to my room. Clean at first sight until you walk in more. The comforter had stuff on it, the floors had hair, killed 5+ flies, they had no towels, had to use their pool towels the whole stay, breakfast was underwhelming, rusted bathrooms.

Absolutely atrocious to stay at or check in at. Myself and multiple people waited 2 hours or more and afterwards were told my room was no longer available. Terrible place to stay with multiple water leaks in the ceiling as well

The hotel and staff are great. Unfortunately, the hotel is situated near a train and Monterey system, which is very noisy.

The staff were great. Everyone we interacted with was nice and seemed happy (enough) to be there. Overall, you can tell this is an older property. The upgrades are surface level and seem to have been executed without much thought for the people staying in the room. The bathroom was the sink and tub, to which our bathroom door did not have a working lock. On the vanity for the sink, there were ants coming in through a crack in the wall. The room was dark/dingy… just felt like the remodel process was rushed to make it seem updated enough for what current market appreciates. After we ate breakfast, which was really good and the best part of the stay, it was more a relief to leave than to stay.

The staff was great an helpful. But will not be back due to issues with the room. When we first checked in and got to our room there was water all in the bathroom from an obvious leak from the ceiling. Then we got moved to a different room on another floor right above the original room. That's where we found out that the water from that room is what had drained out and was leaking down into the original room because there was no water in the toilet. So we had to move rooms again to the second floor

Amazing stuff went above and beyond for my family and I a great check in process. Rooms are spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. Definitely will stay there again when I come to South Carolina.

It was an enjoyable 2 night stay. Room was very nice. Everything looked and felt clean thruout the hotel. Breakfast was accommodating with many amenities to choose. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. It's located away from traffic and was guiet. I would recommend this hotel.

It was cool. The grits at breakfast are amazing. I noticed under the sink in the room some Sheet Rock was missing. Not sure if all rooms were like that but it was tacky. Besides that tho the hotel was good.

Pool was fantastic hotel was clean the only issue I had was the room keys wouldnt stay connected always had to go to front desk to get it to work. Stayed 4 days had to go to the desk at least 10 times my room wasnt the only one that had problems.

It’s troubling to wake up to water all over the floor and my 5 yr old sleeping in a wet bed. When I told the staff, nothing was offered other than an empty apology.

Quick spot for the night it’s alright. Stayed in room 309, bathroom ceiling had soft spot in it that was bubbled; a/c sounded like a train coming through the room. Shower stained, couple of sockets didn’t work, smoke detector was busted/partially missing. Overall if you can avoid here I would recommend going elsewhere.

It was chill, great food, awsome service

Overall though, stay was OK, breakfast was basic, but filling.

This hotel was amazing! I traveled alone for a solo vacation. From check in to check out everything was seamless. The front desk staff was super helpful and friendly. The room was beautiful and they had daily house keeping come by and make sure everything was going well. They made my stay truly amazing! The breakfast was delicious and changed daily so you don’t get bored of the options! Have a bar on site was a nice touch too! I will definitely stay here again if ever in the area

Toilet in room too low. If you have back or knee problems especially when it rains you need to have a handicap room. Breakfast was not satisfying.

This hotel didn’t have space to hold our luggage after checking out until our flight late afternoon! The bathroom shower was noisy and toilet didn’t flush easily.

Fantastic overnight stay

I have NEVER done a hotel review but felt I needed to in this case. One of the most terrible hotel experiences I've ever had.The smoke detector was disconnected. The tub was clogged--water wouldn't drain. Grout missing in shower and water getting behind it causing mold. (photo)The condition of the plumbing in the mini-fridge cabinet was terrible (photo) Sheets were stained! Ice machine alarm kept going off all night despite numerous complaints to front desk by me and other guests. Hyatt said they couldn't do anything to compensate because we booked through Expedia. Expedia wouldn't offer anything except their "key cash" points because they said Hyatt was unwilling to help. So essentially they both passed the buck back and forth and no one took responsibility. I am shocked this hotel would have the Hyatt name on it. I am also shocked that Expedia didn't care.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the surrounding community. Facilities are clean and well maintained with a small touch of home.

It was a nice property, pet friendly but required a pet fee which was not disclosed on Expedia when booked. Overall it was a good place to stay.

I hate the pet fee was not disclosed at booking and they kept telling me I didn’t have a card on file when I tried to purchase things against the room but I did. Otherwise they were friendly and quick to assist.

Had a hotel for May 4, 2025. Woman was extremely rude when I asked simple questions. Would not give me a refund, stated she worked alone and didn’t have time to answer my questions. No manager on site . Mind you I been here before, I refuse to go with Hyatt again because of her
