Great beach getaway. Liked the hotel setup with convenient pool and beach access. Located in a less busy area along the beach but still had good dining and activities nearby. Kids loved the climbing adventure park in Corolla.

The staff was able to provide excellent restaurant suggestions. We loved the proximity to the beach and the ability to walk right to the pool when we needed to cool off.

I loved having a room with an outdoor space, and it's wonderful that this hotel is completely pet-friendly. When my dog was afraid to go on the elevator, Adam at the front desk helpfully moved me to a first-floor room. The hotel has its own private beach access, and the pool area is very nice, with plenty of options for kids and adults. I forgot my beach chair, but they work with a vendor that provides beach chairs and umbrellas and lets you charge them to your room, so you don't have to carry cash or your wallet to the beach. My one minor complaint is that the ceiling fans need to be cleaned regularly. In both rooms I stayed in, they were caked in dust, but it was nice to have a ceiling fan to keep the air moving.

Clean, safe and you can not beat the beautiful ocean access, the three pool choices and the price for Outer Banks. Chair rental on the beach was so appreciated! Adam at the front desk was so helpful ensuring my decision to extend my stay was seamless. My critiques were the partial ocean view was really just seeing the dunes and a tiny bit of ocean beyond. The air conditioner was extremely loud and my real concern was the balcony to my room had an extremely loose railing with a deep crack in the concrete. It was a true safety hazard. I brought it to the attention of the front desk and maintenance was scheduled to take a look at it. I feel confident they will take it seriously.

It was very clean and well maintained. It has beach access but I will say if you have mobility issues it is a little difficult but overall very beautiful and would stay again!

Convenient location, great breakfast, clean spacious room, friendly staff. Love that the beach was a few steps away! My only issue was with the AC in my room - if the overhead fan was on, the AC kept running & the room got very cold. Turn fan off & the room got warm. It wasn’t an issue worth notifying the front desk about - I was happy with everything else.

The breakfast in the location we’re both fine. Our room was outdated and in rough shape. The tub was rusting in several spots, mold, going down the sides, where the caulking is, and somewhat flimsy on the bottom. The closet door track was completely rusted, and the carpets were old and dirty looking. They were cobwebs on the patio in general dirt. We did not feel comfortable going barefoot in our room. The price is fine if the room reflected that, but it needs updated dearly.

The Hotel and staff were excellent, super friendly. We had a lovely room, lots of space and very clean. The location is idyllic. So close to the beach and Corolla light house. Happy to recommend , very relaxed. The breakfast was only okay, although the homemade (make them yourself) waffles made up for any shortfall on the hot food.

The location super close to the beach, the pools were all open even if the temperature was still a bit cold for the outside ones and the room size with balcony was great for relaxing. Everything in the hotel was clean and newer looking. The bed was a bit too firm, the shower water didn't get hot enough, and the food for breakfast was ok. (More the temp rather than the selection)

The property has everything you need and is easy to navigate. Rooms were very clean and Shawn at the desk was very kind. Parking is simple and the breakfast is a huge plus. The indoor pool area is a little worn and it is clear that the ceiling has been repaired and is due for more. It was cold when I was there but the outdoor pool area looks nice with a pool and mini lazy river. It is also just a few steps to access the beach. Overall I would stay here again. Very short drive to restaurants and shopping in the local area.

The location is fantastic. The views were stunning, and the beach was clean and absolutely lovely. Check-in took about an hour longer than expected, and we noticed that some guests who arrived after us were assisted earlier. I had to follow up at the reception a few times to check on our status. The breakfast selection was quite limited and didn’t fully meet our expectations in terms of quality. We also had some difficulty using the balcony, as there were quite a few mosquitoes, including some inside the room near the ceiling, which made it uncomfortable to keep the door open.

Breakfast was great, coffee was cool at first day but the attendant made fresh for the dispenser. The beds were really hard, I wished it was a better bed like the one I stayed in night before in Germantown MD, a Hilton property also, but the carpet in room was smelly, and some tending needed a bit more care, the hallway had ball of hair entire visit, so never vacuumed for 3 days.

Breakfast was good, but could have been a bit earlier. Everyone seems to open breakfast at 7 am, and for early birds like us that is really late. It had a hot tub. Easy beach access. Actually good Wi-Fi. It was a little expensive. There are no cameras in the pool area and also nobody to monitor what other guests are doing in the hot tub... :( The chairs in the rooms are a little uncomfortable.

It's a great stay. I really enjoyed the time with the swimming pool and the hot tub. The bed is also very comfortable except the room is not very soundproof. I woke up few times in the morning around 7am by some person yelled in the hallway to their kids.

We've been coming here for 5+ years and really enjoy the location and Hampton Inn chain hotels. Our room was clean and we were very comfortable. I was not very impressed with the breakfast staff however; hot water for tea was lukewarm most times. I noticed guests had to ask for items that had run out/were not replenished during breakfast. The person in charge seemed to be overwhelmed. Also, I did notice in the public bathroom, rust spots and what seem to be water damage to wallpaper at some point. Hampton Inn usually has a good reputation in terms of care and standards, so I was surprised to see this at this location. Overall good stay.

Rooms were clean and property was nice and quiet. Staff was friendly. My boyfriend and I went out for an evening and room service came to clean up and make the bed while we were gone. Was nice to come back to a clean room. I highly recommend this place.

My wife liked the lighting for putting on makeup. Both thought the bed was comfortable. Staff all friendly. Nicely decorated. The “partial” ocean view advertised was an exaggeration although technically correct.

I was greeted with a smile at every turn from the staff! They all went above and beyond to accommodate me and my granddaughter. This was my fourth stay at the Hamptin Inn, in corolla, and I will gladly go back FOR A 5TH TRIP! I HOPE THEY BUILD A RAMP TO GO FROM THE HOTEL TO THE BEACH, because me and my granddaughter had to carry our buggy up the stairs, and that was quite difficult. Other than That, I have no complaints.Everything was perfect! We really enjoy ourselves! Please build a ramp to go to the beach from the hotel, So people will have disabilities or buggies can get to the beach with ease.

It was a beautiful hotel and the staff was so nice. We loved that we could easily walk to the beach.

The location is AMAZING!! We had a lovely patio with chairs and could hear the ocean. The beach was literally steps away, and was clean and lovely. We were there off season so it was not at all crowded. The breakfast was the standard hotel fare, but included 2 flavors of waffle mix so my kids were happy. The hot cookies in the evening were great. The most amazing part was that when we left behind something very important, they mailed it to our home, and even called to verify all the details before mailing it! The exhaust fan in the bathroom was not effective at all, so there was condensation issues causing peeling paint above the shower in room 104. There may have been a leak from above, but couldn't tell for sure.

The check in took a while as rooms were not ready. But once we received our room key we were surprised at the size of our room. Comfy bed, balcony and a huge bathroom. The access to the beach was great and we watched the sunrise on both days we were there. The property was busy but Shawn at the front desk was great and helpful. Overall a great relaxing stay - will be back.

Place was nice. The location is on the beach. Two outside pools and one indoor pool and hot tub. Only complaint is my sunglasses were taken from the room while we were out. Told the front desk worker but he didn’t care. I would go back and just take valuables with me when i left the room.

My husband and i stayed at this property off season in March 2026 with our 2 small dogs. First off let me just say that this is the nicest Hampton Inn we've ever stayed at. It's right on the ocean, and the rooms are HUGE and very nicely decorated. We enjoyed hearing the waves from our balcony, and Adam at the front desk was wonderful. We will definitely come back in the future.

They were redoing their roof and put us in a room on the 3rd floor where they were fixing the roof. Got woke up at 7:00 am with foot steps and banging above us. We did get moved for the 2nd night.

Considering the hotel, its physical amenities, the services provided by staff, and price, I would say its a very good value.

Lots of pool options. Staff was very nice. Only downside is the ocean view on the 2nd floor is really just the dunes. Although it is very peaceful to sit out on the balcony. There is a decent amount of food options towards Duck which is about a 10-15 minute drive. Make sure to look up restuarants and set up reservations in the busy season.

For years, this hotel has been our favorite place to stay at when we visited OBX, so we are very disappointed to see it grow tired, worn out, and not well maintained. Our room had a very unpleasant (wet dog?) smell to it that couldn’t be dissipated no matter how long we kept our balcony door open. The odor emanated either from the carpet or the air conditioner, and it permeated everything. The bathtub was chipped in several places, the carpet looked dingy, and the room never cooled below 73F. The gym was poorly equipped and had no towels. The front desk attendants were welcoming and courteous; however, room cleaning staff were not particularly friendly. We did enjoy breakfast and appreciated the convenience of having the free laundry facility. The pool areas seem to be well maintained although we did not use those all that much. We love the location of the hotel so would love to come back, but we hope some upgrades and interior refreshment will be done in the nearest future to make this Hampton Inn worthy of the brand reputation.

Continental breakfast was very disappointing. Oranges, apples, and bananas were poor quality; bacon was shaved so thin, it was tasteless; muffins were jiffy quality; Coffee was not replenished regularly, only the waffles palatable. The biggest issue was housekeeping. We were there five nights and never received housekeeping service. There is a ‘system’ that requires you to take the hang tag off of your door for service (this was never disclosed or posted). The signage on vanity said services would be every other day. When I spoke with the front desk they told me about the hang tag -I told them that I even spoke with two of the staff members on the floor, and they said (unfortunately) they speak very little English (that does not excuse being missed for service five nights). I scrubbed the tub myself, made our beds daily, and emptied the trash daily. When we returned daily to find the room not serviced, I had to request towels and toilet paper from the front desk. We just had to deal with the sand that unavoidably was tracked into the room. I will say they were very responsive the first night when the A/C broke - they made alternate room options and had it serviced the next day. Front desk staff was not engaging (at all), but they did send the linens up quickly after my calls (the guy that brought them was very kind).

The front desk staff were very polite and helpful. The breakfast Buffay was OK however, there was not enough staff or enough room to accommodate all of the guests. At first glance the hotel seemed to be cleaned but after being on the property for a few hours, all of the carpet on the side and back entrances were very soiled and dirty. Not only was the carpet filthy, the walls had marks on them and there was just paper and debris on the floor. Our room wasn’t thoroughly clean when we got there and there was dust hanging from the ceiling fan. I was prepared and wiped it down with my own cleaning supplies. My overall impression is that the hotel is short staffed and there needs someone to take a look at the cleanliness. I wouldn’t recommend it to friend and it’s definitely not a 5 star hotel.

This hotel was on the ocean with steps and deck to go over the dunes. Stunning views. The hotel was in great shape with a gorgeous pool area. Breakfast was good!

There was never any towels at the pool areas or hot tub. We said something to the front desk. Next day when we went back there was still no towels out. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash containers was all empty. Will not stay here again. For the money it cost to stay here you should not have anything to complain about. Over priced!!!

Hotel is in a great location if you plan on staying local, but if you're planning on going towards Kill Devil Hills or Nags Head then this isn't the place for you because traffic is BAD. Access to the beach is great.

It was a quiet area and easy access to the beach. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The girl at check in was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. However, on our visit we were woke up with a malfunctioning fire alarm that just kept going off. There was no clear communication that it was a glitch and when/if it would be fixed. It happened on and off throughout the day and evening. It finally stopped just shy of 9pm when the fire department arrived. It would have been helpful if there was a communication system in place so we knew what was going.on. The next day the elevators were not working most of the morning so people had to carry their luggage down. Then when we were checking.out I approached the counter to hand in the keys and the man behind the desk snatched them from my hand and said, I'll take those. It started out great, but ended ok.

Very comfortable bed. Room included a couch, easy chair, and desk/chair. We had a partial ocean view room and the view was excellent. From the balcony we could see the ocean in one direction and the sound in the other. Easy access to the beach. Decent breakfast including hot foods.

Everything is good but the bathroom curtains is short that the water is coming that makes the floor wet.

This location was perfect to go see the wild horses in Corova. Super access to the beach. (As always the breakfast is meh and the service at breakfast was rude- literally won’t stay open 1 second past 10:00. I mean really, it’s obscene.

The outdoor facilities and location in the beach was great. Our room was not cleaned for 3 days. Overall a good experience.

We planned this last minute, and they were very accommodating. We got down there Saturday morning at 1015 am. Glenn at the front desk was EXTREMELY nice. He let us park there and go to the beach until our room was ready. I went in at 3pm to see if it was ready (check in at 4pm) and Again Glenn (awesome) was very friendly and got me into my room. All the staff were very friendly, and the room was great.

Overall good experience. They do need to work on some upkeep issues.

The room was pretty much spotless save for a small stain on the sheets and a pillow case. We texted guest services and asked for a fresh set and they sent them to us quickly! All of the staff were very friendly and polite. The overall quality was great and at an affordable cost too! We very much enjoyed our stay.

Great location to the beach!

Good value for money, coffee is amazing! Rooms have microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Located just steps from the beach. Staff is great, hotel is right in front of the beach, good amenities (pool + jacuzzi) and complimentary laundry room. The only downside is that it is not walking distance to any restaurant so if you want to go somewhere you’ll need to drive.

The beds were very clean with white sheets. Cleaning was done daily. The environment was very safe for families with children and pets. The pool was very clean.

I liked the quiet area, they had an awesome breakfast with the attendant who was very responsive to our needs. The pools are great for all ages but would be nice to have one heated outside. I liked the grandness of the lobby area.

Upon arrival, our original room smelled badly of cat urine. The manager on duty was very understanding and moved us to another room and comp the upgrade for one evening. But since we had booked it for three that required us to move again to another room in the next morning, all in all, not a big hassle and we enjoyed this stay.

The room needed proper attention to detail based on cleanliness. There was snack wrapper and peanuts found on the floor on arrival. The patio area needed to be clean and the rain was dangerously loose. The carpet needs to be replaced. It has a smell that was strong and hard to bear

The hotel was a bit outdated but as clean as it could be. The staff were very nice! No extra fees, price was final. I enjoyed the lazy river, and easy beach access. Though the gym had little equipment, it was enough to get the job done. The breakfast was good as well. I would stay again !

Room was very clean and neatly organized!! Had everything we needed for our weekend mini vacation! Breakfast was filling and delicious. Definitely coming back soon!!!

The room and facilities were great. Only problem was the TV system which was horrible! Don't know if the property can do anything about it but it is extremely hard to find a program or even know what is playing on which channel. We basically gave up.

The hotel is in dire need of upgrading, cleaning, and renovation!

Loved this hotel! Beautiful area! Great breakfast, pool areas, outside sitting areas (although weather wasn’t good enough to enjoy that), easy walk to beach, and so much more! Will definitely stay here again when back in the area.

Superb staff! Helpful in every way. Terrific room with kitchen area (sink, fridge, microwave, coffee & table) LR area with sofa, king-size, very comfy bed, and a sweet outside balcony with table & chairs. Close to historic Corolla structures, wild horse tours, and wonderful restaurants.

Beautiful clean quiet property. Large comfortable room with everything I needed and more. Easy access to beach (dolphins close to shore!). Excellent breakfast. Nature trail across the highway. No shops, restaurants, etc. in the area...must travel a distance to get to those.

Checked in checked out 4 hours later when we found out no internet/wifi/cable was not told when we checked in nor when we came back to hotel after dinner according to staff no one had a clue that was good on!

Only stayed one night… very comfortable, large room, great dinner suggestion from the desk clerk, very inviting lobby fireplace after the sun went down, very reasonable price.

What a treat! The value for such a great stay was super. Very very nice breakfast. Bed was comfortable. Everything was clean and just what I needed after a few nights not so good at other places!

Very nice property

There are 2 issues that we were not happy with. After driving 10 hours….when we arrived…..there was no one at the desk for us to get checked in. I waited 10 minutes before anyone appeared. I understand if there is a need for the clerk to attend to other tasks…..but at least leave a note……or have a bell that can notify them of a customer who needs to be taken care of. Second….I know that your hotel allows pets. Maybe the pet owners could be roomed on one level….to allow the pet less guests some peace and quiet. The couple that were in the room right next to us…..left their 2 dogs alone in their room while they were gone for about an hour. These 2 dogs need nothing but bark or cry the entire time the owners were gone. Not a pleasant way to start your day.
