The staff was absolutely fabulous. They went above and beyond to compensate for my needs. After a horrible experience at a condo that I had booked and couldn't get into The room is comfortable needs some updates. But all in all, it was a very comfortable stay.

It was a very nice and comfortable stay. I had no issues at all. The room, itself, was extremely clean and the AC was nice and cold :) There wasn’t any breakfast but the snacks were cheap and very well priced! This hotel is taken care of very well and it was so peaceful during my stay! I would totally come back!

The property was okay. Our keys did not work and we had to go back to the front desk with our luggage to get new keys. When we wanted to extend our stay by another day we had to make another reservation to do so. The staff was pleasant. The view from our room was overlooking another business which wasn’t great.

There was a double booking on the day I was checking in. The manage apologized and even upgraded our room. My mother is a disabled and they found her a stool for shower. The staff were helpful and nice. Highly recommend this hotel.

Very run down facility but clean. Quiet but cannot walk anywhere and your room looks out on a boat shop junk yard if you’re facing south.

Firstly, the lady at the desk was kind of rude, and came off a bit passive aggressive. Second, our room wasn’t 100% clean, there were stains on walls that were easily wiped away, hair still on the bathtub and floor of the bathroom and I don’t think they even mop the floors in the room…spilled water on the floor and wiped it to see that a white paper towel turned black. I did like the convenience of the location. The pool was nice. Other parts of the staff was nice. But that was about it. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Property smelled moldy and older dated. Had to return dirty towels to recieve clean. Wouldn't give clean towels otherwise.

The room was clean but the floors were gritty with sand, but given the area (near beach) its hard to get rid of sand.

Everything was excellent, my family and me had no complaints at all, for sure we will stay there in our next visit.

To receive new towels you had to take back used ones to front desk. No traditional room service provided. Room had a funny smell. Recliner looked 40 years old. Opened window to a boat repair shop, not a nice scenery. Stray cats in parking lot, laying around on cars. Missing picture from the picture frame in the room.

I want to share a great experience visiting Port Aransas via Corpus Christi Bay Area. This hotel was awesome. Close to everything and the pricing was 50% less than staying in Port Aransas Area. The views and scenery are amazing with great proximity to everything. HEB/Walmart/Starbucks/Gas Stations/Shopping are all close by. Amanda and Nancy at the Check-In Counter are sweet and amazing...thank you Candlewood Suites for a great vacation week!

One clerk was very nice; the other two clerks were rude. The property was convenient and easy to get to, and it felt safe and was quiet. Not the best place for a quick vacation, but would be good for an extended stay where you just needed a place to sleep.

Place is being renovated. We’ll give them that. But the bathroom had stains everywhere and cabinets were very dirty. No breakfast foods. Complimentary coffee was great.

Friendly staff, check in was so nice. Clean and quiet place. Beat part, the location is in the middle of everything if you ate visiting. Fishing is walking distance.

There was construction on the outside of the building but that was on the opposite side of where we stayed. Staff in front was very friendly and nice. Beds were comfortable and the room had more than what i expected or needed. A large refrigerator, stove, cooking utensils, etc. The room was clean. I don't think they had continental breakfast. I only saw apples in a basket on my way out.

Was a nice stay, the rooms was not so clean but I could fix it by myself. The bathroom had some previous customers hair and the under sink trash can had some bottles of drink and plastic containers.

I know Expedia cannot possibly keep up with every Hotel that is on their site. This hotel has breakfast included on the site, but no breakfast or mention of a breakfast at the hotel. The hotel is also listed as 'Pet Friendly', but it is hardly pet friendly. When I checked in, I was hit with a $75 pet fee.... NOT a deposit, but a pet fee. Not a very nice surprise. I may have let this slip, but in talking to another guest that was leaving when I was, she had a pet and was charged as well. To make matters worse, her dog is a registered service dog, and HAS stayed at the hotel before, but the other guest forgot the service vest. The staff would not budge. I think the staff has been warned by the managers or owners to never let the $75 extortion pet fee slip or they could get in trouble... I have stayed at this hotel 5-6 times over the past 4 years. Never again.... it is the hotel's responsibility to keep Expedia up to date since a large portion of their bookings come from Expedia.

Way better than expected.

Not bad, but not my favorite property. The room was large, but for no real reason. A lot of dead empty space. The Window was large, but blocked by scaffolding with a working construction site in the adjacent lot.

Front desk was very kind, responsive, and informative! The room was very clean and the bed was comfy! We were surprised when we realized that our room actually had a nice view (odd numbered rooms). We love that the checkout was at noon! Overall great stay we will definitely stay here again!

Highly recommend Candlewood Suites! Fuddruckers is about 5 mins away, They offer the Worlds greatest offer Hamburger fries and a cookie $7.99 nacho cheese for the wedge fries delicious!!

Quick fishing trip so we landed here. Close to the pier, clean and quiet.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. The only issue was with the toilet in our room. Did not flush well, however, I would stay there again.

No smoking area for guests. This led to an abundance of cigarette butts all over sidewalks by pool.

The room was great size, a little stuffy when we first walked in but once we adjusted the temp and ran to Walmart it was much better. The kitchenette was great to have as an added bonus! Wish the pool was a tad bit bigger but it served its purposes! A place I would have no problem rebooking in the future. Thank you for the hospitality and a good clean place.

It was just an ok hotel. If you could stay somewhere else, i would.

It was a good stay but I had found roaches and it took them a good while to take care of them. On top of this while looking for the roaches I had found a syringe between the bed and nightstand and that was unacceptable. They fixed it at the end but I wish they would improve on that for the future stays.

The service was exceptional however the towels were not as clean and the restroom light fixtures has a lot of tarnish on them. There were other areas that need improvement with the cleaning.

Clean although basic hotel. Room look is a bit dated, but it was comfortable. Appreciated the full size fridge but it gave off a weird odor. Would stay here again.

Grest location. Carts to haul luggage was a definite plus. Little room to buy snacks and soup and other items with reasonable prices. Would definitely stay there again. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

However, the room had a really nice kitchenette. I just didn’t take advantage of it. This hotel is pretty close to the school with a Chick-fil-A right down the road. Very comfortable and convenient.

We were very happy with this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The full sized fridge and kitchenette would have been very handy if we had stayed for more than 2 nights. The pool was clean and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again.

Yes!! The fact that they accept, 3rd party reservations, but they WON¿T fix them. How many people, makes mistakes, booking? Imagine, how many reservations you¿d keep, if the system was handled better?. Disappointed, for my Father¿s Day weekend.

Shower kept dripping. Just enough dishes. Fridge worked well as did the a/c. No daily housekeeping as advertised. Went to front desk to exchange dirty linens. Free laundry machines was nice to find. Pool kinda small.12 guests max in pool. Beds comfortable. Didnt care to find the pet hair in room.

The lobby of the hotel was updated and nice. However, overall I would call this hotel tolerable. Our room was very worn, outdated, and not very clean. Immediately after we checked in, I spilled water on the floor. I used a washcloth to wipe it up. When I was done, the washcloth was black...yuck! The furniture had worn spots and one chair had been clearly ripped up by a cat. The room had a strange smell too, maybe because it is a pet friendly hotel? We were told upon check-in that there would be fresh fruit every morning, but almost every day there was hardly anything at all. Additionally, there was no service to the room unless you stayed for 7 days. We were there for 4 days, and since the room was not really clean when we got there, it definitely needed to be cleaned at some point during our stay. Another thing that we found odd: the hotel had guests bring dirty towels to the front desk to trade them in for fresh ones. The front desk person would count out how many towels we brought, and replace them with only the amount traded. The process made us feel like we were untrustworthy and were being closely monitored as if we were going to steal very basic hotel towels.

Dirty, everything old with multip, with multiple stain and the room smelled. Cockroaches. And the person wanted to keep me in the room until I said no. Did not even offer a new room until I said I was going to complain to others and BBB.

No breakfast, no safebox, gym closed, small pool, small parking lot. Construction in the hall all day to fix leak in neighboring room. Switched to the side away from freeway noise.

Just one night but it was clean, safe and bed was comfortable. A/c was a little sketch and there was an “old” smell to the hallway but we would stay here again. Great location and good service.

Nancy at the front desk was awesome! The room was big with a stovetop, microwave, and full size refrigerator. Beach was nearby. The pool was small, but there was ample space on the patio. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

This is our second time staying at this property. The staff is friendly. No breakfast in the mornings but the rooms have a small kitchen with fridge, stove, and microwave. Conveniently located between the island and the city. The pool was sparkling clean and there is a bbq area with tables and tv.

Our room was nice and clean. My only comment was my husband asked for an extra blanket or even an extra sheet and was told the hotel does not have any extras. The reason for our request is because my husband has trouble sleeping and will usually get up during the night and try to sleep in the recliner.

Pet policy was deceptive. I stayed 2nights and paid $150 for two pets when the policy says up to 150 for two pets for up to six nights. Why charge the customer the same amount for 2 nights as you would for 6? Also no candlewood has charged this much b4.

First room unfortunately was not clean. The base of the toilet had not been cleaned & we also found remnant food in freezer. While it began to rain, water began to leak. we moved rooms. The next room was cleaner but with no bathroom fan it was a wet mess

If I needed to get fresh towels I had to go to the front desk additionally I had to take my trash out to a can on the floor I was staying on. I don¿t mind keeping my room straight but I think having trash pick up is mandatory.
