Staff is very friendly, helpful and great. Bed are good and very clean rooms. Stayed here multiple times when visiting family.
- 1/5
Musty, moldy smell. The bottom of the bathroom door was rotted through. Stains throughout. Moved to different hotel
- 5/5
Staff was helpful and friendly.
- 2/5
The room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and the desk clerk wasn't very nice. The place is in need of updating. The heating system is old and loud. I wouldn't stay again.
- 2/5
Old small rundown but not horrible for what it is...
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Hotel was clean, just very outdated. Bedspread had wholes, carpet had torn spots. Room has mini fridge and microwave, both worked great.
- 5/5
From was very clean. The clerk was fantastic, kind, helpful, and had the heater turned on for me!
- 5/5
Convenient, walkable, & great staff!
- 3/5
There was a very strange smell when I entered, probably because the carpet was old.
- 4/5
It was a great price for a last minute trip. We would stay here again.
- 1/5
There was thick layers of dust on the head boards. The front door was black with grime. The bedding had cigarette burns and was thread bare. There was a leak coming from somewhere so there were 2 puddles of water on the floor. Strangely the bathroom was almost completely spotless. There was limited parking. I did knowingly reserve a smoking room (because it was all that was available), but it smelled like 3 people chain smoking in there. I expected a cigarette smell, but it was so incredibly strong. The lady behind the counter was very nice.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff. Great parking. Easy walking to dinner. Will stay here again!
- 3/5
Very cheap, but nice for the price. Perfect place if you just want to sleep for the night
- 3/5
It was ok. Problems with the tv and gentleman acted extremely put out. But did fix it. Clean but old and needed some repairs in the bathroom.
- 5/5
I booked the room for only the night and basically only slept there. The front desk staff was good
- 2/5
There was no lights coming into the room and I got burned when I moved the hot wax night light. The shower didn’t work right the sink was falling off the wall. The carpet was gross.
- 4/5
NO Microwave or coffee pot
- 5/5
Just a quick Wednesday night getaway to spend a fun evening with friends and it turned out perfect! I was in desperate need of a relaxing trip and that is exactly what I got! Front desk could not have been more accommodating, even help me carry my bag up the stairs to my room as they weren't busy at the moment. Absolutely loved the little table and two dining chairs! Did not use the microwave but appreciated the refrigerator. Did not hear a sound last night the bed was very comfortable and I slept so well. Feeling fresh and rejuvenated this morning headed out for crazy life again!
- 4/5
Clint is very helpful and great to talk with. I enjoyed my stay and had no issues whatsoever. Some things are a bit outdated but that’s not anyone’s fault which is the reason for 4 stars. I’d say upgrading bedding would be great but me and my son still had a very good stay.
- 3/5
Real far from Eugene. Cost $90 in a cab to get there. Town is nice though
- 3/5
My clothes smell like cigarettes
- 3/5
Cheepa room was cleqn but the carpet needs to replaced. There was only one light in the room
- 3/5
The motel was clean and comfortable, but there were no extras. No coffee- I had to go to the shop next-door. No soap- we had to buy our own. No ice - the machine wasn't working. The staff was friendly.
- 2/5
What was bad was the people blasting music at 1:00 in the morning. Yelling stomping around. Then again at 3am mor yelling and slamming doors. More loud music.
- 3/5
Room itself was clean. Night person was quite rude. Would recommend NOT stay here and DON'T book through a third party as they do not specify they don't allow 3rd paty payment
- 4/5
Over all a good over nighter hotel. But needs updating
- 4/5
Convenient for our needs. Easy access to other services. Inexpensive.
- 1/5
Shower didn’t work. Water from sink smelled. Lamp didn’t work next to one bed. Limited parking.
- 5/5
Very nice motel with help full staff. I stay there for one night when going to Eugene for work. Will be back again in March.
- 5/5
This was our second stay ana we'll return next time we're on the area.
- 3/5
Doors were warped and took considerable strength to open and close. Room was freezing. Took hours to warm. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room adequately equipped.
- 5/5
I didn't get to stay here cause I had to go to the ER.
- 1/5
Fighting from next door and tents in the parking lot
- 3/5
Room smells of smoke even though it’s a non smoking room
- 3/5
You get what you pay
- 2/5
We booked this because of the price- the other hotel options in the city were more than double the price. BUT the stay was uncomfortable and we will not book it again. The service was friendly enough, but the room quality very poor, strange, and old. It was listed as non-smoking but smelled like smoke. The shower dripped and the toilet flush was very loud and long. The bed was on wheels and shifted with every small movement. Also, we were on the first floor and the second floor room above us was very noisy ALL night long. The TV volume was super loud and it sounded like they were moving furniture all night. So much noise and we couldn’t sleep. It was pretty bad. If not for the noise, the stay would have been passable but we won’t risk it again.
- 3/5
Looks decent on the outside, pretty shabby inside. No reading light on one side of the bed and only one skimpy pillow. Didn't even try the shower.
- 5/5
Very friendly owners. I had a dead battery and they helped me jump my car after I checked out.
- 3/5
Poor plumping. Run down. Very noisy. Towing truck blocked entrance to the motel. Wifi was not available without asking for the Wifi password. TV choices were awful. Bed was highly unstable. A single light for the entire room. You get what you pay for.
- 2/5
In need of major repair, carpet dirty and torn.
- 3/5
The quality of the room inside was very poor. There was not even soap to wash your hands.
- 2/5
Clean, the 1 man team was nice but had to wait for him to check in
- 4/5
Older facility and clean.
- 1/5
We arrived and checked in owner stated we give limited towels so they don’t get dirty. We asked for me he gave to us. We opened door to find the carpets old and rancid with and awful smell in room. Carpets were all stained. The bathroom had old rotten sink cabinets that were leaning to the side. Many flies in the room. No screens on windows to air place out. We gave up and immediately asked for a refund as room was uninhabitable. I was met with no refunds as too late to rent out again. We didn’t know the shape of room prior so unfair policy. I would not recommend to anyone to stay here. I’m ashamed Expedia would list this hotel as they usually promote good hotels. I will blame Expedia for this.
- 1/5
No ice, no internet (though advertised), no lights in room except for one little lamp, rotten door, vents had dirt hanging from them, walls had pieces off, no place to hang clothes.
- 3/5
Ok place to crush for the night. Safe and quiet in a very small town.
- 1/5
Filthy carpet, rotten floods, horrible smell.
- 1/5
I guess you get what you pay for ! Right!! There was blood on one of chairs to dam dark beds were nasty I slept in my truck I could not sleep in that bed...!!! If there was blood on the chair there was blood in the beds....
- 3/5
The person who checked us in was nice and friendly. The price was good. The room was ok. The walls are thin that we can hear conversations of lodgers next to us. The linen and towels were clean, but the bed cover smelled like an unbathed homeless person.
- 1/5
Water running in next room made so much noises I could not sleep in
- 3/5
We stayed here because Eugene's hotels tripled in price. They only had a smoking room so smell was awful. Only 1 small lamp so super dark in the room. Spiderwebs all over outside. Graffiti in the drawers and most of the rooms were filled with people that live there. Won't go back. That is for sure.
- 4/5
I am not going back but it's not bad for what it is. Wifi is a joke, maybe it's just my room but I tried to use the WiFi several times but the data rate was horrible. The window heater/ac blows right over the bed. Someone has put a lot of work maintaining everything but the budget was really tight. Fair amount of human drama can be heard unfolding with in hearing distance.
- 1/5
The room had one tiny lamp on the table in the corner so it made the room dark, the heater didn't work properly, it would only blow warm air for about 3 minutes then it would blow cold air like you put the air conditioner on. There were only 2 outlets in the room and neither one were by the beds. The bathroom didn't have any at all,the water didn't stay hot for very long. No coffee, no soap. It had a creepy, eerie feeling. I will not be going back
- 4/5
The room was dim with just 1 table lamp (that did not reach the bedside). Very few outlets. Difficult to plug phone in over night. But clean & quiet. And inexpensive.
- 3/5
There was no coffee pot, no instruction on how to get tv stations on the Direct tv remote. Only one available outlet, no closet, no wifi password was given and one cover lamp for light.
- 3/5
However, the manager who checked us in and out was extremely personable and was very attentive. He made sure that we had everything we needed even though they didn't really have much. The property was the opposite though. The room smelled like cigarettes, floors were cold and moist, toilet seat broke off after one day, and for some reason there was only one lamp in the corner that was so dim we had to keep the bathroom door open and have that light on while we got ready. Opening the window curtains was not an option because it opened up right to the parking lot and had no sheer curtains to block out view, but let in light. So that didn't help at all. If you're on a tight budget or have no other options, this place has a bed, a TV, a shower, and a toilet. You'll survive.
- 4/5
The Relax Inn is a great value: affordable rates, clean room, comfortable beds and cable TV.
- 1/5
Wasn't able to get room until 5:30 PM because we had to wait for the room to be cleaned. Also had heated argument with manager over room charges.
- 5/5
This is a fine, basic motel. Needs to have a working ice machine.
- 5/5
Everything was clean
- 3/5
The property is old and outdated but it was clean. The only thing we did not like was only 2 lights one in the room and one in the bathroom.
- 5/5
Very quiet close to dining. Could use more than one lamp.
- 4/5
could use another lamp for additional lighting in the room
- 5/5
Wonderful staff.
- 4/5
It was a nice stay. Only complaint is that noise from adjacent unit could be heard. Neighbors woke me up at 2:00am with their television turned up a little bit.
- 4/5
The Relax Inn was good value, Very simple, clean and serviceable.
- 5/5
Although this is an obvious older motel, steps have been taken to keep it clean and comfortable. There is a refrigerator and microwave in the room, but I missed a coffee maker. The price is exceptional and I would book it again.
- 4/5
It was a good stay. Room needs at least 2 more lights added, too dark. Bed was okay, soap was not good, all in all it was a good stay.
- 3/5
This was our second time staying here on our trip. The motel hasn't changed, but we now have the perspective of having stayed in quite a variety of places. This place is still decent for staying the night (definitely make sure you double-check that you're in non-smoking if that's what you prefer!) but there are some things that could be improved upon: the showerheads are quite low (about 5 1/2 feet); our bathroom smelled of urine upon our arrival for some reason, there weren't any bedbugs but a special protective covering could be added for extra peace of mind; there could be laminate flooring for easier cleaning instead of carpeting; more than 1 lamp to illuminate the room; a stronger wifi signal for those who don't have data. The rooms are cheap and if you only need them to sleep, I would still say they're good for that
- 4/5
It is fine. We just stayed there for one night
- 4/5
The manager, Clint, goes the extra mile to provide excellent service and he is very friendly and helpful. The house keeping was standard and the beds were extremely comfortable!! The property is older and has cosmetic issues, but that is to be expected in the lower price range, and it looks like they are in the process of making updates. The property itself aside, the service is excellent and I would highly recommend Relax Inn if you want accomodations in the lower price bracket in Cottage Grove.
- 5/5
This motel suits my needs, but my needs are very basic.
- 5/5
Overall good service.
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
This motel is exactly what you would expect for a room of this price. There was nothing "fancy" or special about the room; it was a place to sleep out of the weather. The best was the heater -- very modern; it worked quickly and quite well. The worst was the bathroom -- tiny and cramped. The people were nice, but the room did NOT have the assistance bars in the bathtub, as were advertised.
- 3/5
The beds were clean, fresh. the motel is quite worn and aged but was quite adequate for our needs.
- 3/5
The staff were nice and helpful.
- 4/5
Wasn't fancy, just a room and a bed and shower. Bed was comfortable though. Tv screen was messed up. For the price it was fine.
- 5/5
The room was small, but it made it cozy. There are no frills. It is your basic room to stay, but the price was unbeatable. Nothing was gross or dirty. The bed was super comfy, and I have stayed at $250.00+ per night hotels with beds that made me unable to sleep.
- 4/5
The clerk was friendly and allowed me to check in early after working my 14 hour night shift. I couldn't thank her enough. The room was a little worn but overall the room was acceptable. I appreciated the smoking room and the fact my four-legged companion was allowed. Convenient to my work and local restaurants.
- 3/5
Needs some work, had to put some shoulder into the door to get it to open, not the nicest place but it was budget friendly
- 4/5
Good value. Needs renovation but overall ok
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
clean and easy to find - friendly and easy on and off to I-5
- 2/5
Checking in was quick, pleasant. Room was smelly and floor very in need of cleansing.
- 1/5
Run down outside was messy and spider webs all over. Bugs flying around in the room. Needs painting and some wall repair.
- 1/5
The room smelled so bad my grand daughter and daughter couldn't breath the room was freezing heat didnt work, i am disabled yet my room was upstairs stairs need better rails this motel is not accessible for disabled i will never stay here again
- 3/5
The staff was friendly and very accommodating. They do what they can with what they’re given. I think the problem is the motel owners don’t seem to understand that the customers are what keeps them in business and need to seriously upgrade everything. The pillows are old and flat. The toilet constantly clogs. The room we stayed in was very cramped with two queen beds in it. And the beds were so uncomfortable to sleep on. There was no water pressure when taking a shower. Overall if the owners thought about the customer first then the motel could be so much better.
- 2/5
Kind of OK but did not have enough light, only one corner lamp.
- 3/5
cheap, quiet night. Facilities aged, not professionally maintained to modern standards. Would stay by self, but not with family again.
- 2/5
Just soso...the stool was very low, the curtains would not close completely. It took many minutes and banging on the door to sign in because of the late arrival, although I was told on the phone that a midnight arrival was to be expected.
- 1/5
Dirty smelly room that was supposed to be cleaned. Never stay here!
- 4/5
We were only given one hand towel. When I went to the office to ask for a second one I was questioned as to whether or not we really needed 2.
- 4/5
It was descent in the thought that the property had been in a classic movie
- 1/5
Tv wasn’t working and the person on duty kept coming back to my room which was supposed to be a smoking room and wasn’t. 3 times he came back at 11 pm. I moved the next day and was denied a refund. Asked for coffee which I got but was the worst I have ever tasted. I don’t usually write in these but it wasn’t worth it even for the lower price.
- 3/5
No frills here but very affordable. Ice machine has been broke for two years.
- 4/5
This motel offered a budge experience for a budget price. The room was clean, and manager Clint was attentive to our comfort. While the motel is old, it is apparent that efforts have been made to update it. For example, the bathroom was recently retiled and was clean; the exterior is recently painted. The television and bed were not high quality, but I don't feel like I paid for a high quality television and bed. The mattress was comfortable enough. Contrary to other reviewers, I did not feel unsafe, and I did not find the room dirty. The carpet needed a good stretching, but was clean. The most disappointing feature was the wifi, which worked sometimes and didn't work other times. For what I paid, I feel like I got good value with a clean, safe, reasonably comfortable place to sleep.
- 4/5
It was the bare necessities, but the room was clean & comfortable. It was convenient having the restaurant so closeby.
- 3/5
I was there for all of 10 hours -- just a place to crash for the night and the closest vacancy to Eugene that I could find online with the high school state track meet filling all the rooms around the University of Oregon.
- 2/5
Next time I'll pay the extra for a proper hotel.
- 3/5
Beds were comfortable. It is a smoking hotel, but has non smoking rooms, but ours still got a smoking smell to it. It's not a bad place for the price, if you just need a place to crash for the night and then go. The staff were Great, and more than helpful!!
- 2/5
Room smelled terrible, carpets were dirty and noise from a/c next door was loud.
- 4/5
Great service, older hotel. Rate seemed a little high compared to the age and condition of the facilities.
- 3/5
The nicest owners you'll ever meet, but the facility really does need major upgrades. Hard to get hot water, sink falling, front door gets stuck, mattress is all coils. No in-room coffee, though there is a nice fridge and microwave. If you're on a tight budget, the place will work but, if you can afford a bit more, go for it.
- 3/5
Fair. Odd room set up if you have 2 queens.
- 3/5
It was OK to stay for one night. The staff was pleasant. The room was clean, had microwave and fridge but no coffee maker. I missed my morning coffee.
- 4/5
A no-frills hotel with cinder block walls and very basic amenities, but a great price. Nice people, friendly and helpful. We really liked Cottage Grove, and plan on coming back.
- 2/5
The only problem is the parking . The room and the bed smelled like cigs smoke . The bath room sink was just hanging not anchored to the wall
- 3/5
Relax Inn is what you'd hope for from a cheap hotel. It's not fancy, and a bit run down, but clean, quiet and reasonably comfortable. The staff were very pleasant.
- 4/5
Not anything to brag about but the price was cheep.
