Hotel was packed with young girls for what appeared to be a softball event. Got up to take a shower to discover ZERO hot water in our room. Due to the number of guests all trying to get ready at the same time, it seems the hotel water heaters couldn't keep up. Front staff was USELESS regarding this matter! Told me " we've never had an issue before". When I requested a partial refund, they said no manager was on duty to talk to me and someone would contact me. 5 days later, no one has contacted me!

The 24 hour coffee bar! Not much variety for breakfast. But was still tasty whatever they had.

The stay was great everything was smooth I paid the deposit in cash staff gave it back after house keeping checked the rooms right there on the spot. Staff was nice no problems everything was clean. I would stay here again.

Person i talked to didnt even want to get the mamanger. Manager finally came out and said no. Didnt even care. My daughter went into labor and it didnt matter

There were several things wrong with this hotel stay. The iron didn’t work. The towel hook on the bathroom door was broke. Our room was not serviced the second day of our stay. I had to go to the check in desk to get fresh towels after our request was ignored. The grime on the window was so thick, you couldn’t see outside. The powdered eggs were full of water and the sausage was gray.

We ate breakfast this morning. The orange juice wasn’t good. I don’t care for coffee or lemon water so the drink options weren’t good. I would like to see plain water instead of lemon water.

Parking was good. There was a massive stain on the carpet leading to our room. The entire carpet ouside the room is very dated. In the room it was clean but very dated it felt like an expired hotel with popcorn ceilings, amature paint job, rusted bathroom light, and holes on the sofa bed. The shower had a high pitch/whisteling and it was irritating. The bedroom ac clanked when it came on and off. The wooden furniture was clean and nice as was the bed. The staff was helpful. The groundss are limited and only offered a bench to sit at the drop off area. Breakfast was simple and limited. The hotel claims to be pet friendly yet there is a policy that if pet hair is found on bed and sofa an extra charge would apply. We happen to have a travel vacuum but our clothes and luggage have fur so it gave me fake anxiety. I hope this hotel great luck but there are better places to stay in the area.

The inside of the hotel is unique with how it is set up around a common sitting area and breakfast. The breakfast was OK, but the rooms were very clean. The hotel itself was very clean.

The hotel was clean and overall everything was fine. However, in the morning there was no soap, shampoo, or conditioner available in the shower. Additionally, the pool was under maintenance at the time. In general, the service was okay, but they should pay more attention to making sure the rooms have all the necessary amenities to properly serve guests

Price was reasonable and the front des Staff was extremely helpful. The breakfast was decent. The common areas were not very clean and there was dust and leftover food on stairs and other parts of the common area. The rooms were fine and functional.

Quiet and peaceful even though it is by the road Breakfast variety and there are left over food crumbs at the hidden area of the room. Though it might not be that visible to guest but unfortunately for us we catch it.

Location to the square is perfect Our bathroom was not good at all. When you stepped into the tub it sounded like I was going to fall through the floor. Light fixture in bathroom was super rusted, handle on door was rusted and came undone. Practically falling off. On top of when you turned the water on it squealed the entire time water was on.

Easy to find, access to the highway was excellent, parking was great and proximity to restaurants was good.

If you are looking for a basic place to stay, nothing fancy, this fits the bill. The property is an older hotel that has been renovated, so it has all the basics and the standard hotel breakfast. One of our rooms smelled like smoke, even though it was non smoking. We alerted staff so we wouldn't be charged and they were very nice and apologetic.

Room staff charged me $50 because a slushy threw away on the sheet ….rooms smell horrible …..staff was rude

We paid to stay in the suite and was very disappointed. The suite felt more like a hospital room, cold and no character. The window view in the living room was of the inside corridor (wth). I will never stay in the suite again and managment would not change from a suite to a regular king room.

Hotel was not like the pictures online. It was older and need some updating.

This location works well for us when visiting family and the family running the place are pleasant. However, if you’re staying for days and request a quiet location away from others, being by the stairwell slamming door and the noise of a vacuum at your door at 9 AM is not what we expected.

I liked the included breakfast and the horse decorations/pictures in the room. The front desk staff also helped me out with a small request for toothpaste. Housekeeping came by Fri morning while I was still in the room, but I do not recall them coming back Sat or Sun. So no towels were picked picked up or replaced. It was not an issue since there were plenty of towels available.

Cleanliness, hair on a bed, spotty sheets, dirty sofa. We decided not to stay and booked the other hotel.

The property seems nice until you get to room. Fixtures were old and rusted with a few actually detached from wall. Vents were covered with THICK layer of dust. Just really worn down room. With a little fixer upper it would be great place to stay. So if it’s an over night then it’s ok but wouldn’t want to do much more than an over night stay.

For me, it was only the location that I liked I was disappointed with my room. I had chosen a room with carpet, but when I arrived, there was no carpet. The bathroom door wouldn’t close properly and kept opening. The closet area was open, and there were no doors or latches for the closet. The floors were uneven, and the refrigerator had dents. The furniture was scratched, making it feel like I was in a rundown place. I felt like I had wasted my money. During checkout, the receptionist refused to provide me with a receipt because I had made a purchase through a third-party service. I had requested a third-party receipt through the third-party service itself, but they had requested it from the hotel, which still refused to provide me with my receipt.

TVs outdated

The room was gross. There was stuff on the curtains and lamp shades. Many hairs all over the bed. We ended up not even sleeping under the covers. Also, the AC unit made insanely loud noises so it was difficult to sleep through those noises.

The room itself was very clean. I do wish there were better/more channels for children to watch on the tv and also some sort of play room area for young children too. Otherwise everything was fairly average and as expected.

Building was under some sort of water damage which should have been disclosed. There was a massive leak to the degree it was pouring through the elevator shaft. Very unnerving being the rooms not wet where up stairs.

Staff did not tell us of breakfast hours, so when we went down at 8:57, staff was putting food away on cart. She did not speak to us. Website did not state they were renovating and it was safety issues because of our small children. Will not stay here again.

I was in town for a wedding and was surprised by the cleanliness and quality of the room and facilities. They were all plenty dining options nearby for delivery. Would stay again

The only thing that was wrong about stay was the pool was not open. Nobody told us. We were expecting to swim.

Disappointed the pool was closed. Also communicated via Travelocity that I needed 6 extra pillows due to knee surgery. They said they never agreed to it and protested, finally giving me only 2 pillows. Breakfast was weak, almost nothing and fruit was old oranges. Coffee was old/bitter. Exercise equipment was rusted. Talked to manager who didn't seem to care about concerns.

I didn’t stay here longer than 2 hours because I didn’t feel safe. Room was hot and inside the fridge was hotter. I have medication that needs refrigerated so the fridge not working was an issue. Room was decent and clean, but pillows felt like they were made of rocks. Room was decent but location felt unsafe. After I left I noticed a piece missing from my window/door frame like someone tried to break into it.

I was sent a link to pre-register which I followed. I submitted personal information, ie,,,debit card info, make, model and year of my vehicle and my drivers license. When I arrived, the young lady said LaQuinta would never send such a link. When I showed it to her with her name attached to it, she was speechless. She got extremely quiet. When I told her that I had requested a handicapped room with a walk-in shower via the website, she said they didn’t have those rooms available. I told her that I reserved this room over 6 months ago but she didn’t care. All she wanted to know is “how are you going to pay?” Unbelievable, if anyone out there likes to be treated this way, LaQuinta is the perfect place for you to stay.

Very helpful due to our late check in and check out. Easy to find and close to the vampire diaries attraction. Comfortable beds. Met our needs to stay overnight.

The manager named Nick was very accommodating for me and my family, I even booked an additional night because of how great the customer service was.

Had little snack area, nice breakfast bar no juice that was not good. Pool area one way in had outside gate locked. Very nice area outside chairs and tables picnic tables shaded BUT one way in from the front of hotel most people didn’t know it was there.

Stayed for 1 night. Room was nice, bed was pretty comfortable, front desk and breakfast people were nice. Check in was fast and overall it was a good stay. The only thing really that could use some attention was the outside deck area. The chairs had spider webs all over them so if you wanted to sit down while out there, you couldn't, otherwise we were happy and would return.

It was a good place to stay. The only set back was that my room did not have hot water when using the shower. I complained but nothing really happened until my last night. That’s when they switched my room.

Everything was really good from checking in to the environment itself. The only issue we had was kids running down the hallway making lots of noise when we were trying to watch TV & trying to sleep. We were on the 4th floor so we weren’t expecting that. Other than that, everything else was really nice.

It was a fine stay but the gentleman at the front desk accidentally assigned us to a room already occupied. Fortunately, those guests were not in the room when when we entered. The gentleman at the front desk quickly fixed the assignment and got us the room we reserved. It was odd that the room had a window looking into the inside of the hotel but was otherwise an nice room, if a bit dingy.

This hotel is always a pleasure to stay at. New, clean & quiet. Super convenient to all the shopping, Emory Oxford campus and Covington Square. Breakfast is not top shelf, but it’s warm and not bad at all. We’ve stayed there half a dozen times and have yet to see the pool open, but that’s not why we go to Covington. Wonderful hotel! A++

The front desk person was very nice. When we arrived, the room smelled strongly of marijuana, so we went back to the desk and they gave us some spray to spray the room. Interesting that there are signs everywhere saying 'no smoking'. It was very obvious that the previous guests smoked marijuana in our room

My room was unacceptable in cleanliness. I was given cleaning supplies because it was late and there was no one there to clean it. The tub and one of the beds had hair in them. Not a little. I will say that the next morning the manager sent up, a cleaning lady who did a wonderful job and put new sheets on the bed. This is the second La Quinta. I’ve stayed in in the area and neither stay has been satisfactory. Apparently no concern about guest experience. If the Holiday Inn express wasn’t booked up, I wouldn’t have stayed here, but the Expedia reviews said very good. I must’ve put in a wrong address?

Gym was excellent for a hotel. However there was a very persistent smell of marijuana wherever you seemed to go in the hotel. It was a little off putting. The breakfast was also pretty abysmal.

Very bad experience! Accidentally booked a room here instead of Covington, KY. Realized error and within 15 minutes called the front desk to request a refund. Said I would need to speak w manager, Mick. 4 calls later and even calling corp office…mgr declined request to refund $169. Literally they held the room for 15 minutes and could have easily rented it to another customer. So…I dropped $338 to spend 12 hrs for a bare bones room. Feel totally ripped off.

Overall it was a great stay. The only negative was the outdoor pool, there were large spiders and debris in the pool.

I had limited expectations on my stay. I was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel was very clean, the staff were pleasant and helpful ( but not in-your-face-see-how-happy-am, they were just authentically nice and helpful.) It's clear that the management took a very active role in making the environment good for staff and guests alike. I will be staying there again this week.

The sound carries bad, breakfast is out in the open, so we heard the children cry etc., Housekeeping is loud, they vacuum bathrooms and bump everything. The pillows sucked and the beds weren't great.

It would be nice to have at least one handle bar in the tub. I was 6 months pregnant and unfortunately my husband slipped in the shower instead of Me, and I took one before him. I made sure to be extra careful because it looked like there might be a risk.
