Wonderful little motel. Great views of lake Gregory and nountains. Exceptional staff member, young male Indian. Cookies and water in room nice touch. Right at edge of lake and close to everything in small town
- 5/5
Loved staying here. The rooms was clean the staff was super friendly and helpful. We plan on going back again! What a great stay
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful. It is an older building with some issues, but it is charming and clean. We will stay again… just as a charming alternative to hotels in OC or LA!
- 4/5
The staff was very helpful. The place is very convenient. I am planning on staying here again.
- 5/5
Very clean room's comfotable beds⁶ and kind staff.Ill definitely be staying there next trip to Crestline.
- 5/5
Perfect location across from Lake Gregory, Parking in the back. Abdul at the front desk was nice and help full. Easy check in, quiete and safe place to stay. Love our Lake view stay
- 4.5/5
Balcony was shaky and seemed slanted.
- 4/5
Very close to all the attractions. Nothing super amazing but a solid cute spot with a nice view of the lake. Can't go wrong here.
- 5/5
Helpful staff, giving good advice about the lake and the supermarket. The room seems renovated. The bathroom was tiny but clean. The microwave and fridge in the room are a big plus. I booked a room with a fireplace and really liked it. The bed though was old and sinks in, so I had neck pain and didn't sleep well. No nightstands so no place to put our cellphones or personal items. A lightbulb was missing in the bathroom & some lightbulbs are the annoying white light, not warm light. The inn is right next to the lake, across the street from a very good supermarket. I'd recommend.
- 5/5
Clean room and parking very nice 👍
- 5/5
This was the most beautiful property and room that I have stayed in. I rarely write these, but I had to leave a review. My stay here was so quiet and peaceful. Abdul was kind and knowledgeable about the area and activities. I'd 100% stay there again. Such a gorgeous and clean space. No notes!
- 3.5/5
Clean room. Nice coffee bar complete with water, cookies, and real coffee mugs. Cozy fireplace. Balcony with table and chairs. Lots of fluffy towels. A little too much air freshener but it quickly calmed down when we opened the sliding door and got that fresh mountain air inside. Needed two chairs in the room.
- 5/5
Parking was free and directly in front of our room. Staff was wonderful. AC & ceiling fan in working order. Opened the sliding glass door at night to enjoy the night air. We came with our 20 lb dog and had a $25 dog cleaning fee which was reasonable. Would happily stay here sgain.
- 4/5
The hotel location is great. The staff was friendly and helpful. My room was a very nice size (Superior, 1 Queen with fireplace, non-smoking) Nice amenities, unfortunately, I had trouble charging my phone since both outlets were loose. There were plenty on towels in my room and additional sundries, fire logs were available at front desk but NO daily cleaning in room. Yes, I would stay again.

- 3.5/5
Clean with comfy bed and good value for our overnight stay. No ice maker for overall guest use but innkeeper did provide us ice from his apartment.
- 5/5
Very nice little get away. Loved the real fireplace and patio/balcony with view of the Lake. Loved the convience of market nearby.
- 5/5
This is a hidden gem of a hotel: cute, clean, right across the street from the lake, and remarkably inexpensive. The staff are super kind and helpful. We will 100% stay here again.
- 5/5
everything Beautiful

Rooms where tiny but very clean, staff was great and helpful
- 5/5
Nice place
- 5/5
Great place, across from the lake and neighborhood market.
- 5/5
Had a few small issues with room initially, but Abdul (?) moved us to a different room for the remainder of our stay. He was very friendly & accommodating & checked to make sure we were happy with the change. The room was cute & clean and it’s a great location to access shops, restaurants and the lake. Appreciated the bottled water and cookies in the room! We hope to return in the future!
- 5/5
Everything was good
- 4/5
Perfect location, right next to the lake, and grocery store. Easy walking into town. Quaint room, we loved it!
- 5/5
Me and my husband went for our anniversary, very friendly staff and accommodating. Clean and cute room would definitely come back again.
- 4/5
It was pleasant ☺️

Not sure if he was the owner but the guy at the front was very kind and helpful

It was dusty and dirty. The website pictures don’t match what the property looks like today. It was run down. The furniture was all beat up. The furnishings were wore out and should have been replaced years ago. It was so bad that I turned my key back in at 8pm and chose to drive two hours to get home and not stay there. Disappointed.

My husband and I stayed a weekend in the superior room w/ queen bed. It had a tv, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker and hair dryer. Nice view of the lake from our balcony. Fireplace was cozy. The lady at the front desk was nice. Easy check-in & check-out. We enjoyed our stay 😁

Great stay !!!! Look forward to coming back
- 4.5/5
The location was perfect for our stay.
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful!
- 4.5/5
Real glass glasses and ceramic coffee cups instead of standard plastic/styrofoam. Private patio with view.
- 4.5/5
The North Shore Inn was conveniently located right across the street from Lake Gregory, a supermarket and many restaurants so we didn’t need to use our car once we got there. There was a nice balcony with a table and 2 chairs that overlook the lake. However, the balcony flooring was a little cracked in an area and seemed a little unsafe to put our full weight there. So we shifted our chairs closer to the room to enjoy the view.

- 2/5
Smelly and old plus they moved me to a different worse hotel after Iyhey over sold.
- 3.5/5
Decent location near Lake Gregory in Crestline. About an 25 min away from Lake Arrowhead and 45 min away from Big Bear (if no traffic). Fairly clean. We got lucky and had the street level room so didn't have to carry luggage upstairs. (very) partial lake view. Old hotel with old furnishings including heater (you can't set the temperature - it's either on or off). The shower is old and the handle needed fixing which thankfully was done otherwise it was stuck on hot. Among other annoyances was a sqeaky front door, shedding towels, an armchair that you would slide off of and a balcony door that was hard to close.
- 5/5
Everything was so clean and comfortable! We loved it. Host were very kind at leaving complimentary snacks for our kids.
- 4/5
The customer service is great here
- 3/5
Rooms had a strong antiseptic smell. Had to air it out and it was better. King bed was a little too soft and lumpy. Nice and accommodating staff. Good value for price.
- 5/5
The bed was especially comfortable and the towels were new and fluffy. We received extra hand towels as well. We had a small deck with a view of Lake Gregory. Nothing!
- 5/5
I was in Room 6. There is a room above so I could hear them walking around, but that's to be expected in an older building. The water pressure and quick hot water were great. Thoughtful touches like cookies in the room, bottles of water. Great hairdryer, parking right in front of room, Mexican restaurant next door was very good. Easy walk to fantastic grocery store (Goodwin & Sons Market). Both check-in and check-out front desk were very nice. Nice bedding and towels. Furniture is a bit beat up and the trim could use some touch-up, but for the price and location, it was a great value.
- 5/5
We love this as a getaway . Abdul the manager is very accommodating!
- 5/5
clean, beautiful location, and great price.
- 3/5
Deluxe King Suite: Large Bedroom but mattress way too soft to be comfortable & bedding extremely heavy & made for uncomfortable sleeping - ended up taking most bedding off. Living room/kitchenette small but adequate, except the couch/loveseat old & uncomfortable. Upgraded bathroom & shower very nice with plenty of towels, etc. Patio area extended across the eastern side of both rooms & had a peak view of the northeast end of the lake & hills beyond. Airconditioner/heater very noisy coming on & off, cycled frequently. Didn't sleep well at all. Patio windows & doors need maintenance.
- 5/5
My room was decorated nicely and was very clean. There is no elevator, so keep that in mind. It was a bit of a struggle for me to get my heavy belongings up the stairs. It's located right across the street from the lake. Several food and market options are within walking distance. It was very quiet both nights I stayed. The patio is nice and the fireplace was enjoyable.
- 5/5
Room was outdated but overall comfortable. Plenty of coffee and complimentary water which was nice. Bed was comfortable. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Loved using the kitchenette
- 3/5
Friendly people just tired interiors with too much fragrance to hide the real smellz
- 5/5
Beautiful view. Great host. Love the room.
- 5/5
Staying here was a refreshing change from the typical hotel chain. The bed was very comfortable, the sheets beautifully embroidered, and the room was clean, quiet, and relaxing. The shower had excellent water pressure, and thoughtful touches like cookies in the room and a coffee maker with mugs instead of paper cups made our stay extra special. We also appreciated the umbrella on the balcony, which allowed us to enjoy the seating in the shade. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay—we would definitely return!
- 5/5
Very quaint and relaxing.
- 5/5
Will be returning
- 5/5
I had a very good experience staying here. The room was clean, comfortable, and stylishly decorated. All the amenities were provided, such as bath towel, washcloth, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, coffee, sugar and creamer, coffee maker, and coffee mug and wineglasses. One of the best parts was the A/C, which really cooled down the room during the summer. The bed was stylishly decorated with comfortable beddings. The Cable TV provided many movie and TV show selections for free. The staff’s customer service was excellent. They were friendly, professional, and attentive. They really made it feel like home. Best of all there was a free parking space for my car at the inn when I stayed there. I was surprised by how quiet the area right outside my balcony, as well as the surrounding area was at night. You can walk around Lake Gregory by assessing the path on Lake Gregory Drive or on Lake Street with the entrance next to the metal fence. Or you can pay a small fee to swim and boat at the lake. All in all it was such a wonderful experience, thank you.
- 3/5
Perfect location. Abandoned hotel with rooms long time awaiting remodeling. Beds with sagging mattresses and defected pillows.
- 3/5
It was clean, staff was friendly. The neon light beat into our window all night and the room was very small. Too small to function in. No Netflix Hulu or streaming services. The private patio was nice.
- 5/5
It was a great experience and the customer service was great other than losing power in the whole city all night and most part of the day it was wonderful. Definitely will come back. The view from our room balcony at night was incredible
- 4/5
Thanks!
- 5/5
View, Fareed, parking, overall excellent. Room needed updating. Pillows on bed were thin and yellow in color with one thin pillow case. Need new pillows from Target. Shower curtain has seen its day. Again, Target! The management couldn’t be nicer. Outstanding! They care about their renters. I’d definitely stay again!!!
- 5/5
The room is small but homey and quaint. The location is perfect. There's a view of the lake across the street with activities all around. It's pet-friendly with a dog park and another pet-friendly lake access just on the other side of the lake. But the best part of our stay was the owner. His friendly engagement and help with his guests makes it feel like family. We loved it and can't wait to visit again!
- 4/5
The hotel manager was awesome and very accommodating. Some of the amenities was not quite what i expected from the online description. But It was a very enjoyable stay.
- 5/5
Nice location, right by Lake Gregory and an easy walk to the restaurants in Crestline.
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
Older property but excellent stay
- 5/5
The manager was extremely kind and helpful, and the inn itself was cozy and well-maintained. I would definitely come here again!
- 5/5
It's a great place to stay for a few fishing days.
- 5/5
Friendly staff great view from our room.
- 4/5
Didnt like the small parking
- 5/5
great place to have a weekend stay over. The Complimentary Fireplace (pre filled with DuraLog) was a romantic comforting touch - Thank you. Plus the view through the sliding door was also a nice caveat. In the afternoon the walk around Gregory Lake and around the town made the stay that much better.
- 3/5
The hotel was ok but it needs renovation! The staff were nice!
- 5/5
Our room was small but was nice champion glasses, bottle water, snacks & a balcony with small table two chairs. Nice Mexican restaurant next door, we've stayed several times. Recommended
- 5/5
Very lovely area as well as the room.
- 5/5
Best thing is that everything u need is around the hotel. Love it.
- 5/5
Check in was smooth. Polite and curtious staff.
- 5/5
Staff is nice, hotel is just across the street from the Lake
- 4/5
Was a pretty cute stay! We never got our second nights log for the fireplace, but I brought my own duraflame logs anyways. The second night we where there, a pipe burst and we didn’t have any hot water for the rest of our stay, which I understand was out of their control, but it was still not preferred. Great Lake view and very kitschy rooms. Comfy beds, but I’m allergic to feathers so I wish I brought my own pillows because my allergies were insane from the down pillows. Otherwise a pleasant stay, the restaurant next door was amazing, and we enjoyed our stay
- 5/5
Quet
- 5/5
Nanette was very friendly and accomodating. The room was very comfortable and perfect for me and my dog. There was even a little private patio that was very helpful for doggy nighttime potty trips and the lake across the street was great for walking my dog. Also, restaurants and the grocery store are within walking distance.
- 4/5
good experience
- 4/5
Loved the bedroom & fireplace. Bathroom needs updating - very cold.
- 5/5
It was quiet and peaceful. Very cozy. Staff really friendly. And the restaurant Toni's Kitchen right next door was very good.
- 5/5
The rooms were immaculate and the staff was very friendly, each room also comes with its own balcony. It was perfect for our stay right across the street, overlooking lake Gregory.
- 4/5
Nice location with balcony overlooking Lake Gregory. It’s clean and convenient with parking behind the building. The town is small with limited food choices but there are lots of cute shops and a great grocery store with lots of options.
- 3/5
Bed sheet is excellent. Heater is very noisy. Stairs is steep. Room is small. Interior decoration is exotic.
- 5/5
Nice stay
- 4/5
Nice clean room could use a little upgrade but still nice
- 5/5
The property is walking distance to everything! The check in person, Abdul was very welcoming and gave us lots of information about our room.
- 5/5
Staff is always awesome! 2nd time here and great for service animals.
- 5/5
I lived my stay here. This was my second time coming here and I will definitely be back.
- 5/5
I’ve stayed here a few times in the last 4 years and it always works for me. Abdul is amazing and helpful with any questions. Everything from here is walkable in town. Great walk around the lake too!
- 5/5
Very close to the lake and the staff was wonderful!
- 4/5
Facing a busy street
- 5/5
Best room stay! Would definitely return
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay there..i wish i could of stayed longer but i needed to get back home
- 5/5
Staff was helpful and very friendly.
- 5/5
Love this place!
- 5/5
Abdul was absolutely amazing. He took care of us. We will be back.
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay!
- 5/5
We stayed for only one night, the staff was excellent. Friendly and totally on top of everything about the property. We would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Love this place. Great view great staff. Clean room with a good decorative charm. Very good location to lake.
- 4/5
Great local inn, walking distance to the lake and shopping and dinning.
- 5/5
Walkable to town. Food and the Lake. Weather was warm or hot actually.
- 5/5
It was so cute and cozy. Downside no fridge or made service. But, the town was beautiful and so was the lake. ❤️
- 3/5
We stayed one day in room #3 and we liked that it was walking distance to Lake Gregory and that it had a balcony. The room was outdated, it needs upgrade and a paint job. Overall clean and good for a one day stay if you want to visit Lake Gregory.
- 5/5
Owner is awesome. First time there and would definitely come back. Very attentive and friendly! Quiet area, very relaxing for a little getaway. Thank you!!
- 5/5
The Whole experience was superb, the staff was just outstanding always requiring if there was anything we needed. The Expedia part of our regrestration was incorrect.
- 3/5
The location was great, right next to the lake. Everything was clean however the place needs a maintenance make over. Couple tiles missing in the shower, light shade was torn, sliding screen door screen was torn and kept falling off the track, the sink was clogged, the shelf holding the microwave was being held up on one side by the refrigerator below it, the bathroom cabinet needed the painting finished. Just needs updates overall. The staff was very nice.
- 4/5
It’s a wonderful location next to lake Gregory. The staff were nice. The only thing I would say is that the place is a little outdated. The TV was in bad shape & so was the bed comforter. Aside from that, we had a nice stay!
- 5/5
An older building but the owners have made the rooms comfortable with an AC unit and complimentary snacks. The front desk staff was very nice. Walkable to the lake and grocery store
- 5/5
We had a lovely stay at The North Shore Inn. It is conveniently located across the street from Lake Gregory with nearby walking trails, grocery store, and restaurants. The hotel was very clean and Abdul & his staff were excellent. We would stay in this property again.
- 5/5
Had a wonderful time in a great location. Very cozy and friendly staff.
- 3/5
Parking was rough, tiny place to back your car in
- 5/5
We had a lovely time. The room was clean and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Excellent view of the lake.
- 2/5
Old building, no upgrades, staff person in room several times trying to get cable TV to work. No refrigerator. Thin walls. Construction outside window started before 7:00AM
- 4/5
Great view of Lake Gregory. Nice balcony for morning prayer. Easy access from the rear of the building.
- 5/5
My wife and loved this place, will definitely go back. Perfect for a quick getaway. Great room, although the bed was a little soft for my 200lb size. Awesome front desk dude, Mexican restaurant next door was really good. Parking around back was just enough for the hotel size.
- 5/5
loved my stay
- 5/5
There is Mexican restaurant next door with a friendly staff and excellent food. We would like to thank Abdul for all his help. Looking forward to our next stay in the summer.
- 5/5
Awesome experience, very accommodating to my 2 huskies. I forgot my dog blankets and they provided 2 for me. Clean and cozy it was. There is a dog friendly Mexican restaurant next door. I even met the owner and as well very accommodated.
- 5/5
It's a very unique and quaint property, if it was not for the weather we would have loved a stroll around the premise. Regardless front desk was exceptional and courteous.
- 3/5
We’ve stayed there before and it was fine. This time it was OK, we had a hard time watching tv and falling asleep due to the fact that there was a guest snoring absolutely loud. At first we couldn’t figure it out but then my husband got close to the wall and it was snoring yikes. Good view of the lake. The service was great, easy check-in and out.
- 4/5
Cute little place it was great having a restaurant and store -walking distance
- 5/5
Close to restaurants and its front of Lake Gregory very convenient.
- 5/5
Amazing staff was really helpful and the area was amazing!
- 4/5
Downside add advertising a spa we were looking forward to but unfortunately. There’s no spa.
- 5/5
First time there love it going back with my kids
- 5/5
A lovely cozy lodge on the lake in the cute mountain town . The fireplace was great 😊
- 5/5
Great location. The room was very nice. We enjoyed the fireplace, coffee maker and fridge. The view of be the lake from the balcony was amazing. Staff was friendly, and the location was excellent
- 2/5
First, the place is older, and cute, loved the look, loved the fireplace in the room, wished I had real wood, but I can give them a pass on that. the bed was overly soft, hard to find any support in it. The worst: the sheets &towels reeked of chemical smells, maybe laundry related? ? They looked clean but the smell was so strong I coughed and sneezed all night. My friend, in another room, had the same experience. They need someone to teach them how to clean laundry without "treating It" or adding softeners, or whatever it was, it was awful and disrupted my sleep! Very easy fix, and the place would be great, but I would not go back unless I knew that was done.
- 5/5
Amazing property with great view!
- 5/5
It was excellent
- 5/5
Staff was very polite and friendly, room was very clean and property was clean and quit. Great place to relax and unwind.
- 3/5
The place is nice and has a great view. Our remotes were not working and we called for help. A nice man came up twice but the situation was not fully resolved. We were given a few remotes, one to turn on the tv and one to change the channels. One worked on the living room tv but the other TV screen said "no input". every time we tried to use it Otherwise, a nice place, no heat in the bathroom and the shower doesn't get very hot. The fireplace was nice though.
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Staff was absolutely fantastic. Mexican food and supermarket is walking distance away. So is the lake. Only down side was the neighbors to the adjacent room were playing there music extremely loud. I think it was to drown out the passionate evenings they had EVERY night. Other than that, the stay was great. We drove to Lake Arrowhead and had waffles..
- 5/5
Loved It.... nice get-away
- 5/5
This is such a cute little hotel walking distance from a lot of shops and restaurants. The staff was incredibly friendly and the room was cute and cozy.
- 5/5
Great location. Cool room! Great view of the lake ! Would recommend black out curtains...
- 5/5
The staff was kind and courteous. The rate was affordable but the room felt luxurious. I would definetly recommend this property!
- 2/5
On approach loved the location, the proximity to the lake and town. Inside the room observed the Inn has seen better days. There is an attempt at lavish furnishings, but in this time of disease and CA bugs, some things need to go. Fireplace is lovely. View from balcony is lovely, but chairs are both sagged in the middle, so stood to enjoy. Sought a Bible in the evening, found the drawer it was in had been wet at some time, soiling the book, the cover was stuck to the drawer. There was information under a large plastic sticker that had dried brown liquid under it. Comfortable bed. Questionable cleanliness of shower. Turned on the water and waited, waited, an obscene amount of time. CA is a drought state, so gave up. When I called the front desk to let them know was told to let it run one to two minutes. I did, and then some. Hopefully, someone will buy this quaint piece of history and begin revival.
- 5/5
One of my favorites
- 3/5
While this may be the “best you can get in this area,” we were less than enamored. Very noisy - we heard people next door, above us and in hallway late into the evening. Better draperies or black out curtains would help with bright light shining in from the restaurant next door. The ceiling fan could use a cleaning. No one was at the front desk in the evening around 8 pm, nor when we tried to check out the following morning. Only positive is lots of hot water in the shower!
- 5/5
Location! location! location! Just across the street from Lake Gregory and a lovely walking trail around the lake. Easy walk to town and several restaurants and shops. Hiking trail to Heart Rock a short drive away. The North Shore Inn was an ideal get away. It isn’t fancy but was perfect for our needs.
- 5/5
Its a quaint little inn that served its purpose. Wasnt fancy but was super clean and would stay there again.
- 3/5
Well it was small but we knew that. I booked the cheapest room. I wish they had a fridge or offered ice. My wife and I have mobility issues and there was no getting around the stairs. other rooms had no stairs and opened up to the upper parking lot. Shower had great water pressure and the water was hot fast. Friendly mexican resturant next door and food was great.
- 5/5
Nice little place with comfortable bed.
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable in a great area. A few things could be more updated.
- 4/5
We had pleasant overnight at the North Shore. Courteous staff and conveniently located property. Very nice
- 5/5
My stay was pleasant, I would definitely recommend to a couple, that is looking for a quick getaway!
- 3/5
Location is great in the sense that it is right across the street from the entrance to Lake Gregory so easy access to hiking and boating. The manager of the inn was very nice and helpful. It's right next to a very busy road, so kind of loud at night. The rooms were clean, but very dated, dingy, and small. I don't know that there is a nicer place right on the lake, but I don't think I would stay there again- too cramped and didn't feel special for a weekend getaway.
- 5/5
This is a very nicely located hotel just across the road from Lake Gregory. It is small, but quaint, and the rooms are clean and the bed is very comfortable. A really nice place to stay, and good restaurants are within easy walking distance.
- 5/5
Great customer service, everything was so pretty inside I wasn’t expecting it to look so nice! I love it and Definitely coming back! I love it!
- 3/5
The Room is very close to down town and right across from lake. The room was clean and nice, but the bathroom had an awful mildew type of smell to it. The room had a real nice patio, out looking the lake, but the slider door was extremely hard to open and close. Overall nice stay but the property could use some maintenance and paint.
- 4/5
The service was good, very clean but the room is tiny and too close to the main street there for the traffic was noisy most of the night.
- 5/5
I will def be going back. Loved the place so much. Thanks Abdul for all the help.
- 5/5
I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name at check in but he was very nice. We would indeed stay there again.
- 4/5
Just an average no frills, older kind of funky place to stay for a night or two. Friendly staff.
- 2/5
Mattress was way too soft and couldn’t really sleep. It’s an older hotel but bathroom had been updated and the place is well maintained.
- 5/5
I have stayed at this hotel several times. Each time, the service is impeccable and my stay is perfect!
- 4/5
This place is great! Good location, nice staff
- 5/5
Very pleasant check in experience. The bed was comfortable. Right across the street from Lake Gregory.
- 4/5
Staff is friendly and attentive. The building is old and the layout unusual—a long, steep stairway to our room — but we enjoy the faded-glory ambiance especially when it;s clean. And it was!
- 5/5
Love this place. Get the studio suite if you can.
- 5/5
This was a perfect hideaway for a turn around trip. 1st time in Crestline and we are definitely returning. The view from our room #10, was AMAZING!
