Riverside Inn Dallas

This is a throwback to the 1980s hotel, physical key, older hotel, and it doesn't look like much from the outside. But the room and bed was clean and super comfy and everything was very nice inside the room. Not fancy, but a great place to stay the night for OSU graduation.

The TV had a big crack through it. we asked for the room not to be serviced and they came in our room anyway, and changed out the towels, but didn’t empty the trash onto two occasions.

Staff was great, nice room, Appliances were old and loud.

Horrible place to stay all around

Parking was good, room was clean. Trying to turn the heater on was almost impossible. Person checking us in was polite and friendly.

Staff was great. Room was fine

Heater banged all night, fridge ran very loudly, dirt came out of bathroom tub faucet, very noisy with people fighting outside, very very loud road noise. We didn’t sleep all night and my daughters bed squeaked everytime she moved.

Been here many time's and never had a issue. In fact , they have updated some of amenities.

The facility is in VERY poor condition: the upholstery on the chair was filthy, the walls had numerous,large areas of chipped off paint and screw holes, the fire alarm was missing everything but the base, the toilet paper holder was hanging by 1 screw, the sink was plumbed backwards with hot on the right...... Although pleasant when he finally answered the locked office door at 5:30 at night, the proprietor had on ragged clothes with shredded cuffs that no thrift store would accept. The sign on the door was dirty and torn......kind of expressing the general summary of the place: sadly in great need of maintenance.

Front staff was nice as always. This stay however my floors were dirty, my bathroom linens were stained and my bed spread had cigarette burn holes in it. Ive stayed here a few times over the years and its always been clean but this time i cant say that, sadly.

The inn is old but satisfactory for an overnight stay. Any request was fulfilled right away. No extras in the kitchenette. only one coffee cup provided. plenty of towels and soaps. great air conditioner.

Physical key instead of Electronic swipe card to open street level motel doors is just not safe; would have liked to know this before hand. Price was right. No issues upon stay.

It was an okay stay. Thr room was not bad. Its a cheaper priced motel so you get what you pay for as they say. Not a horrible place. The front desk guy is always nice and helpful.

Property looks like it hasn’t been updated in 50 years. The floors were linoleum or vinyl, towels, hard as a rock the spread on the bed, which was also the blanket with skeevy, I don’t know the last time if ever it was washed. The coffee maker basket was missing a bottom so when you put coffee in it, it just falls out so I couldn’t get a cup of coffee in the morning. I don’t think I’ll ever stay here again

Run down dump that was musty, mold filled, and dirty.

It was good the beds are soft which is a good thing. We stayed 1 night this hotel is about a 20 minute drive to Spirit Mountain Casino which we went to for some fun. Drive is good from hotel to Spirit Mountain Casino. So if anyone is looking for a very reasonable priced hotel not too far from Spirit Mountain Casino then this is the place to stay. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly

You get what you pay for here. It’s not luxury, but it’s a place to sleep and my wife and I slept great. I think all the poor reviews are a little harsh considering the price.

No a/c bad paint no house keeping doors have been kicked in at one time and not replaced or repaired

.. Disgusting in every way. Smells of urine. Safety is Terrible I was afraid there could be an electrical fire and no smoke alarm. Without a doubt the worst room I have ever rented.

People were very nice at the check in desk. Room had no microwave and tv had no remote but room was clean and orderly

When we showed up the bathroom sink was broken it did not seem clean. They offered to switch our room when we let them know they offered to switch rooms the next day and when we went in they said no we did not come in early enough. We decided not to stay after the second night but the said no refunds so we lost out on our money

This motel is in major need of a deep clean and/or a revamp. I know it is nothing more than a place to rest your head, but the rooms had beetle-bugs and spiders lurking, their bathroom walls needed some patching, their water took so long to get luke-warm, and their housekeeping staff missed quite a few things: hair on shower wall, layer of thick dust on dresser/tv stand and on their floor heater unit, the toilet had the starts of a pink ring in the bowl, and their beds were very squeaky with every toss and turn.

Older wood frame property that shows its age. Owner do their best to keep it running. Best item was a nice firm mattress and I didn't wake to a back-ache.

I told the front desk man id be gone shortly but was waiting to be pickedup (i had driven my freind and his car there with him to get him checked in) and the front desk was almost rude about it. Wanted to know exact amount of time id be there until pickup… i said i was just waitinf for a ride and then on my way. Then he proceeded to tell me it would be uneceptable to be any more than 20-30 min or they wre going to fine him..? Then went ti go park and they had alowed ONE vehicle to take almost 3 spots.. and didn’t have it correct making the right side have like so parking.

Side table had no lamps to see to read , only the ceiling light, cracks in the walls , round lights switchs , paint peel ed from ceiling and some places paint wore off walls in some places... Not a good view side table thick with dust. I wrote my name in it.happy it was for only one night..

Room was very comfortable. Wifi was very good. Shower was great with lots of water pressure. Would recommend this hotel.

No hot water

There was absolutely no hot water for showering or for even washing my face in the sink. Also, there was no working lights in the sink area and that area received little to no light from the bathroom or the rest of the room.

Room was clean and recently remodeled. Baseboard heater just one in the room didn't work when we arrived back at the room at 1030pm at night. Temperature outside dipped down to 27 degrees that night. There was two extra blankets we were able to use. Didn't shower due to no heat in the room. Beds were extra firm not very comfortable. We survived and checked out around 630am to get to the car scrape the ice off the windows and get the heck out of there!

It appears that there are many people who live there monthly, one of which appears to be selling drugs. It’s very noisy from the people living there, my wife and I couldn’t sleep much at all because of the noise. We finally had enough at 6am, 3 people outside being extremely noisy, and appeared to be under the influence of some kind of drugs, so we gathered up our belongings and left. We would highly recommend NOT STAYING HERE!!!

Worst bed ever!!!

I was there less than an hour.

This was the second worst motel I have ever stayed at. The room was dirty, there were gouges in the walls, zero artwork on the walls, bathroom faucet was loose, the bed was like a wooden plank, the towels were like postage stamps, outside our door reeked of cigarette smoke, the stair railing was loose. Only good thing was the location, which was central to everything. Checking in, I had to wait 10 mins for someone to come to the desk. The check in person was unsmiling & unwelcoming. No heat in the room. To call this place seedy would be a compliment!

The sink was missing and the fire alarm was in a drawer next to the Bible.... I guess it was not re-attached after painting the room. It was not a great experience.

We were in the area for a volleyball tournament. One bed was nothing but box spring and 3in foam the other was a mattress and 3in foam. The bathroom was smaller than the one in my RV. The room is in dire need of updating

The room was not clean. The AC was so noisy I had to turn it off to sleep in 90 degree weather.

We are traveling and I was worried about the bad reviews for beds and cleanliness. Shocked to find how CLEAN the bathriom was and the 16" pillowtop mattress, first time in a month of travel, NO hip or sciatica pain, VERY comfy bed! HUGE room (214). More hooks!

Only two thingd my bed sheet was ripped prior to our arrival and the sink faucet was looseand no remote for tv and staff gave us one. Otherwise great visit.

Black mold in the bathroom

Most uncomfortable bed ive ever slept in. Staff was friendly and helpful though.

The lock was sticky hard to open the room lock. The furniture was old and had damage. The bedding had holes in it. This location needs a lot of maintenance and new furnishings.

My husband and his friend went outside to smoke ten feet from the building, a man came out and yelled at them to move to their cars, almost fifty feet away, they apologized and did so. At 2am we were called on my own personal cell phone and told that we were being kicked out for “doing things we shouldn’t do” no explanation. Nothing. Don’t waste your money, I will go out of my way to let people know to avoid this disgusting place. Calling and yelling at someone at 2am and kicking them out is wrong, no refund yet or anything, I’ve also contacted better business buereau and the city of Dallas. Terrible

A fridge would have been cool, and the shower being able to maintain a constant temperature would have been incredible, but generally not too bad for $50 a day. Dutch is right around the corner, Safeway is up the block, and Masala Bites is two doors down and worth the trip. It works out.

Comfortable bed.

Looks like they are in the process of upgrading, but still a lot of patching , painting and tile work needed. Also there were bags of what looked like someone personal belonging on the walk way to our room, we found odd.

Check in was quick and easy, the room we booked wasnt the room we booked on Travelocity, the room wasnt cleaned or ready, when we brought it to the office we were given an upgrade on the room, and new room was good. Parking was good, the room and location was quiet, the office manager or staff was friendly and helpful. The room wasn't the cleanest and some more detailed cleaning would be very be better, and corners of the room were dirty. The beds and bedding was cleaned with no issues. Beds were pretty pretty comfortable but the floors needed swept and mopped. For the price and cost of other hotel/motels it was responsible. It wasn't so bad that i wouldnt stay there again. If im in the area again i will probably book it unless i find something cheaper.

May good for just sleep at there

Room was cleaned everyday. Hotel was very accommodating to me whom is disabled. Room was in poor shape but they are in the model middle of remodeling. My only complaint would be the bed which was squeaky and the mattress was very worn. Would definitely stay again

TV had no remote. Was promised resolution. Did not get resolved. Was listed as having microwave. It did not. Coffeemaker did not work at all.

From the start at front desk, waiting for someone to check you in, language barrier. Get up to the room and see a broken toilet seat no soap and one towel to share with two people. Beds are as hard as a rock

Hotel in better condition then the latest hate reviews, but th e $15.99 booking fee for both this hotel and my other one i find COMPLETELY ABSERD & OUTRAGEOUS! THATS $32.00 !!!! Especially for an establishment that was unwilling, at first to take my acceptable form of i.d. that forced me to book a different hotel in the first place.

Very friendly staff, hotel is old, but very clean. It is missing a few "look overs", like patch work on walls that need to be painted,tiles that need to be replaced, ac needs to be sealed properly, need a safety lock on door and a door guard for drafts. The room does have a coffee pot,microwave and refrigerator. I would have liked to see some coffee creamer. In the bathroom i would have liked better soap (it was one use packets) and lotion would have been nice as i forgot these things. I would stay again knowing id have to bring these things and because for the price it was clean, walking distance to down town( were there is an excellent bakery), and friendly.

This is an older facility with clean rooms and centrally located. Needs a bit of polish around the edges, however, a great value….we will return.

It's a convenient location

It's pretty good for what it is. If you're expecting a luxury stay, this ain't it. But if you want a budget friendly option, this is a good choice. The room was clean, no weird smells, air conditioning worked well and didn't make any strange noises, bathroom was clean, wifi worked.

It was dirty and smelly and the door was hard to shut. So much noise.

Comfortable, clean, economical. We stayed 2 nights while visiting family. Everything worked. TV, Shower, heat & air-conditioning, refrigerator, microwave. On the first floor convenient for old people like us. Like the motels of our youth.

Walls had smoke residue on them, everything smells very strongly of weed, broken down car with busted out windows in parking lot. Smoke detector did not appear to work, would upload a picture of it if I could. If you absolutely need a cheap place to crash for the night this is it. If you can afford anywhere else go to it.

This motel needs a lot of work before its a good stay it was kinda grungy. Had to shoulder the door open everytime. There wasnt a full set of sheets on the bed but what was there was clean the chair was stained and gross looking. The bathroom faucet leaked constantly the bathroom fan took 15 minutes to turn on and when it did it screeched and rattled. Toilet didnt work right. It really neede a complete remodel

This is a rent by the hour kind of place

Had some old bed frame that stood out and hit you feet or legs as you went around it.

Beds appeared clean and I slept well.

The room was not overly clean, there was hair on the bathroom floor, and water damage and mold behind the toilet. The beds were not comfortable. The plastic was left on the box springs, so the mattress slid around. Then there was a foam topper on top of the mattress that also slid around, so there were three components all sliding in different directions. The metal frame for the bed was too large, and i cut my leg on it because it was sticking out.

Hotel staff was accommodating and switched my room to a lower level due to steps I had to go up. I checked in and left not entering the room. When we returned around 11:30 pm, we found the room cold and no bedding. Staff was very quick to respond with bedding and then showed us how everything worked. The room was warm in about 10 minutes and we were asleep by 12.

The clerk was very rude and the room had a musky smell

This is an older property, but it is in very good repair. The bedding, mattresses and towels in my room were clearly new. This felt like a situation where the management is making the most out of the bones of the place. I was pleasantly surprised.

It was convenient to town & our relatives. We found it clean. We did hear noise overhead until about 10 p.m. and then they went to bed about the same time we did. We would stay there again.

While it is an older hotel along the roadside it was just what we needed when we were moving our daughter into college at OSU. The staff went overboard to make sure we had a comfortable room and asked after us in the morning to make sure we has slept well.

Dirty, poor customer service

I needed Wi-Fi to study for state boards and the Wi-Fi was spotty I lost connection every other minute. Not nought lighting only one lamp in the corner of room. Toilet made loud noises every time it was flushed. And the shower water was super hard to turn off.

The staff was great, very friendly. Very nice location next to the creek. Very clean room. Overall satisfaction.

Stenchy odor, surroundings dirty, Walkway dirty. Sink had a dripping faucet that made noise all night.. simply disappointing.

Had a good visit. Spent all day and early evening with my cousin and family so was only in the room at night.

There was pee and hair in the toilet seat. Hair in the shower. They refused to give me a refund for the second night I was not going to stay. The beds were old and springy. The rooms were outdated.

The stay was as expected in the pictures shown but I would have to say they seemed much more neat and clean than pictured. Really just needed the rooms to sleep and shower and this place provided just that. The walls are kind of thin but the environment was very quiet thankfully. AC unit looked old, knocked a few times but worked. No complaints here

An established motel in the center of Dallas, providing a friendly staff and comfortable accommodations for those with business in the area who simply require a reliable shower and a relatively quiet relaxing place to spend a night or two, that's cost efficient. Near several restaurants, and coffee shops.

This is an older hotel that shows its age. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the fridge came in handy, and the AC was great. Our beds were very firm, which might bother some people. All in all we had a pleasant stay.
