Nothing, since the moment I came in the staff was extremely rude and disrespectful with me. No recycling

Obviously this is under consideration without telling people. The AC struggled and the fog policy is questionable. A dog barked non stop that probably lived there. Others complained but night staff was not willing/able to help. Would NEVER go back!!!

A little aged property but kept up fairly well. Simple breakfast. Quiet place. Close to Darien historic downtown.

We have stayed here 5 times, the room is always clean and well equipped and the staff are very helpful and friendly. A good situation by the I95 for easy access. Breakfast adequate.

Nothing Traveling with family, and was looking forward to going into pool. Pictures on website showing beautiful pool, and the pool was gross hasn’t been used or cleaned in years. Looks like dump area. Walked in room, and it was old outdated, and first thing I did was look under mattresses for bugs. Did not find any, but the whole place felt dirty.

There were no diet drinks available in either vending machines. The disabled person is also a diabetic, so sugary drinks & juices were out of the question. The night clerk offered me bottled water for my friend, so that was very gracious of him.

Wonderful staff. Good breakfast. Easy location for a road trip.

Room was decent, okay clean, bed comfortable, good tv channel selection and reception, bathroom was clean. The staff was nice friendly helpful. Building condition: poor, very outdated with visible damage, rug stains in hallways, needs vacuuming, torn and stained bedspreads in another room we saw; outside window frames rusted and need painting, sidewalks very dirty need washing. Nice lady at front desk who checked us in said hotel is in the process of being renovated; hopefully there will be improvements made.

Breakfast sufficient, but not fancy

The room was adequate for sleeping. That’s all I needed it for. There were no USB plugs. The hotel itself is fairly run down. I paid roughly $20 for the night. So you get what you pay for.

Was ok for a night heading from Florida to PA. Staff I encountered were courteous and professional. Computer system was down when I checked in. Took an extraordinary amount of time to check in. Common areas were a bit musty. The room itself was ok — except for the bathroom. Black mold in the shower and on the ceiling. Shower head covered in mildew. Except for a cup of coffee, didn’t have breakfast. Choices were VERY limited waffle, bread, dry cereal. But the rate was extremely reasonable. So ya get what ya pay for.

The hotel clerk refused to honor the reservation I paid Expedia in full for. He forced me to pay for the room again even after I showed him the Expedia receipt.

I wasn’t expecting much, as you get what you pay for. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. I caught a glimpse of the pool as I was leaving. It was a dark green. I don’t think it was in use. Didn’t plan on swimming anyways. The linens were clean and there was a very, very basic breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and updated. For the price it was a good value. If you are budget conscious, I would recommend.

Good room, clean and quiet. Good breakfast, can make your own waffles. Have shampoo and conditioner in room. Bed could be firmer but not a bad stay

This property is in the middle of a makeover, but I’m giving five stars for property condition because my room was very nice and had been remodeled. The facility is clean. My only complaint - and this is not a fault of the hotel - is that there is a lot of traffic coming in and out to get to Buckee’s, a massive store/gas station open 24/7. The noise of motorcycles coming in and out all night was annoying. This wouldn’t be a problem if you’re on a side not facing the entrance for Buckee’s.

Room was very gross. Huge stain on comforter, smelled awful, no tv remote. Had to move rooms due to the remote. Front desk lady was super sweet. No elevator to second floor. Ac leaking in hallway. Towels everywhere

The bed and location were the best features about this hotel. Needs total renovation.

A good value for the price. A little old needs a little bit of renovation. Great staff. Rooms are all kind of musty until you turn on the air conditioning for a while.

I booked this property a week in advanced. I arrived at the property on check-in day at 2:30 pm. I checked in and was issued my room keys. Due to running late for an event, I didnt go to my room first. I arrived back at the property around 10:30 pm to find my key cards not working and someone else in my room. I went to the front desk where an older man was working, and informed him that I had checked in earlier, had my room keys that were no longer working and that my room was occupied by someone else. He screamed that there were no other vacancies and that the manager had overbooked the property.

Staff lacked knowledge of parking. Probably a language barrier. Poor breakfast. Room was clean & bed comfortable.

out of order i asked how we could get a little ice and the man at the counter said he would nring us some, never did! The room floors were quite dirty, my light blue socks we almost black on the bottom.

We had to wait 50 minutes for someone to check us in. Breakfast was very limited.

Great price, comfortable room. Darien has become a “destination” stop for us, because having dinner at Skippers Fish camp!

Affordable 1 night, quick stay

Easy check in. Clean. Very comfortable room/bed. Would stay here again.

Room was large but very basic. TV was damaged every channel was green. Bathroom came out of the sixties. All faucets need replacement. Tub was finished. Sorry but i don't recommend this place or area at all even only for one night.

Outlet Mall. The outlet mall was vacant-no stores remained. My room had a very strong musty/moldy smell. When I asked the front desk about it the gave me some air freshener. Breakfast was terrible-no protein or fresh fruit. The hotel lobby had a very strong Indian spices smell. One of the worst places I have stayed.

Three pieces of bread to toast. Bed was comfortable and room was acceptable. Some redecorating being done.

I liked this place for a few reasons.This place is right off the road but it was quiet in our room. There was no interstate noise. The bed was comfy and the shower was a huge walk in. This place must be going thru a remodel so some items like the ironing board were outdated but i didnt mind. For the rate we paid it was a 10!

Breakfast was minimal and not stocked. Room was dirty and air didn’t work well. Some rooms had window units.

We made a reservation, didn’t stay (at all) and, couldn’t get our refund! Yeah… let that sink in. They tried charging us $150 deposit for pets that we don’t even have! …. That’s the establishment in a nutshell. Stay at your own risk.

Clean and reasonable.

The room smelled.like mold. There was no bread for toast in the morning. There were not enough towels. The washer and dryer were functional and the staff was curteous.

Family trip

For one night it was ok but it definitely could use an update

One night stay on our way north. Overall ok. We got a corner room so it was very quiet. No elevator. Very basic breakfast, nothing hot. Room was warm and took a while to cool off but eventually it was cold enough to be comfortable. Would stay again if needed.

In the middle of a remodel not mentioned when booking, no coffee makers in the room, no ice machines work, orange juice machine not working, NO water pressure in the shower. Expect to take a way longet than average shower. It is a 1 star budget motel.

Only ice machine available had broken that day. Needed ice and, although they had continental breakfast service for the following morning, there was NO ice on premises. Received an “I’m sorry.”

Ice machine was broken. Cereal/oatmeal and waffles for breakfast. The waffle machine was broken. The juice machine was broken. Staff did not seem to care all their things were broken and it seems that they have been broken for a long time and will not be fixed any time soon. Rooms were clean.

Everything was ok. Finishing touches lacked attention on repairs. Limited breakfast, most everything gone (coffee, milk, the basics), waited at check in to find someone. Had to call hotel.

Simply and good

A very good place to stay. We were very pleased and will return. A bit old but very clean.

To start it was kinda scary to pull through the parking lot and have stacks of mattresses just sitting in the grass. Good news is that I'm pretty sure the ones in the room were on the newer side! Don't trust the pictures on the website b/c they make it look a lot nicer than when you arrive. I also had to cut my stay 1 day short due to a family emergency and in questioning the management about a refund I caught them in a lie. Needless to say I never received a refund or even the courtesy of a phone call that I was promised from management. Won't get any return business from me.

Water was hot for showers. Nice bedding. We would stay here again.

It’s a value for money hotel. Staffs are kind. Room has some bad smell. Literally nothing in the breakfast. Even breads were kept inside the kitchen and had to grab it

Customer friendly service

We stayed across the street and there was no pet fee. We thought this was cheaper but turns out it was not. Would stay there again.

The stay was okay for what we needed. The help was nice but building under renovation, or just closed off. Only a few cars there the whole time., but unable to get in before 3. Room not ready yet though they only had a few rooms to rent. Towels were changed next day but no trash emptied or bed made. All we needed was bed and shower and sheets were clean.

Nice inexpensive hotel. No pool. Hotel is being renovated so it’s a little noisy outside of your room. But I would still recommend this hotel

Run down as expected, front desk guy was capable but I couldn’t stop looking at the filthy shirt he was wearing. Feral cats around outside, so sad. Room smelled but could have been worse. Dark and scary area really. Just passing thru so we took what was cheapest, we were not expecting much.

Booked through Expedia as pet friendly and the lady that checked us in was very friendly and welcoming. But the $15 pet fee should have been disclosed upfront. We chose this location based on the positive reviews of cleanliness and they didn't disappoint. The lobby, hallways were very clean with no foul odors of any kind. It is also a non smoking hotel which was great. The biggest disappointment was the exterior looked very dirty and definitely needs a major update

Location was quiet. Beds very comfortable. Rooms were good size. Pets are welcome and have plenty of grass to use. There are no coffeemakers in the rooms but rooms have microwave and refrigerator. Continental breakfast is very minimal. Cereal, toast, oatmeal, grits, waffle maker, coffee and orange juice. no fresh fruits, yogurts, donuts and pastries. Good for overnight stay as not much else is in the area to do.

Good value. You get what you pay for. The price is hard to beat, if you're not looking for much more than bare bones. The room itself was perfectly decent, although it did smell of disinfectant. Breakfast was minimal but did include a waffle maker, which my son loved. If you're looking for an affordable place to crash without expecting too much in the way of decor, this place was a great value.

This hotel is showing it's age but you get what you pay for - it's quite inexpensive. The breakfast was cereal & toast, not much going on there either.

The area around this motel was a bit sketchy, and the interior halls need attention. However once in the room everything was great. Comfortable, clean, fresh, and my stickler .. good internet.

Not a very clean room and although a smoke free room it had a smell of smoke and not very clean

Very accommodating for 2 traveling senior citizens.

It was fine, budget motel, the bed was clean, no bugs, I totally felt comfortable in the room and didn't even want to leave first thing in the morning and there was actually breakfast, imagine that, a budget hotel that manages to do great and still have standards. Let that be a lesson to other budget motels that think they have to charge more. I paid more down south for a one star flea bag, this place gets 3 stars from me. Keep it up.

If not for the blonde women with the tattoos, I think the place would have rated lower. She was there at PM check in as well as there early AM making coffee. A great representative for the property. Other than that, the property itself was in need of a little refresh. The breakfast was non existent. There was 1 coffee pot, frosted flakes, waffle maker, juice, and a few packs of oatmeal......This our last night of a 2 week road trip. Sorry to say, of the 6 properties we stayed, this was overall the weakest.

It was just ok. Nothing special. For the price, it is fine. Super strong cologne smell, which was not great. Front desk people were nice, but charged my card well before we arrived. Breakfast wasn’t a lot of choices, but free.

One of the two rooms I rented was upstairs and my husband had hip surgery and couldn’t walk upstairs and there was no elevator. I had to change my room to a room with two double beds at no discount. I was told that there were only a few keys that worked and then was only given one key. The pool was not open and was disgusting. The lobby was dirty and it had a bad odor and some floor tiles missing. The room smelled like mildew and mold and the air conditioner was very loud, even though it worked. The pillows on the beds were half the size of normal pillows. There were no coffee pots in the rooms. The continental breakfast was bread for toast and two types of cereal. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in and I wont go back. We checked out a day early and went somewhere else. This hotel should be condemned. Do not stay here! I feel like Econo Lodge should refund my money.
