OYO Hotel Decatur I-285 The Perimeter

I booked the reservation about 1 week ago based on the pictures, but when I arrived, I literally saw prostitution going on, and one of them was very angry and tried to provoke me to fight with them. Also, the building looks like it's cracking and falling apart.

The location was unsafe, the door had a huge gap, and a lot of unsafe activities occuring on property.

The hotel door didnt work both times we came in to use it. So we had to contact the front desk. It was more like a 1.5 star hotel.

What the post as the hotel its not its run down with roaches.

The OYO was a nice improvement in overall conditions compared to the 10 days at the Economy Inn, the OYO is a little dated, but they had hot water and a decent TV, the air conditioner and heater worked great, the only drawback were all the CRACK HEADS roaming around yelling at no one or yelling maybe an act person, there are several decent places to eat like the Chicken and biscuits place and plenty of bodegas to get snacks and drinks!

Nothing at all… It had roaches. The bathtub was dirty…. The floors has holes.

Pictures are very deceiving. I would never stay here again. We took a shower and never came back.

Nothing....this place was not as advertised...I left in 15 minutes after arriving...someone was in the room they checked me into and the door lock was not secure They charged my card five times...I have called all customer service numbers no answer....the people on site spoke no English...I want all my money back

I check in at 7:45 pm and Then have to leave A hour after because the room was really dirty and the sheets on the bed wasn't clean. I've to check in to a different hotel.

Very nasty bugs everywhere shower had water bugs in it. Had ticks or bed bugs all over the room walls bed was nasty pillows were nasty 0 out of 10 do not recommend

Its in a very dangerous part of town and extremely unsafe! The door of the room looked like it could have been kicked down a few times. Black baseboards and roaches all over the floors.

The staff were friendly and assisted with anything I needed .

Place should be torn down not what's shown as a quality hotel dirty doesn't begin to describe it you would've thought I was in the housing projects in the 80s with the condition of this hotel and the owners just act as if it's normal wish I could've gotten my money back I paid and couldn't even sleep a night there it was that bad

Never checked in. I tried to get a refund within 30 minutes after booking because it was a mistake. Never got my refund. This whole thing is a rip off.

The room was very nasty i had to clean the entire room and ask for new covers and all they had was bed sheets that did fit the bed tube was nasty as well as the toilet hair was everywhere unfortunately i was very disappointed in this space if code enforcement come there they would probably get a ticket or shut them down if i knew this i would never had book this room

The pictures online don't match the actual property. The room looked unkempt. Water leaking nonstop in the bathtub. Huge water puddle in the middle of the floor. Broken glass in the sink, I cut my finger. Never again.

The room wlls were stained and dirty. Holes in the doors. Broken air-conditioning housing. The residenta had to share remotes to the t.v's. Terrible experience.

Upon arrival there were people hanging by the staircases and walkways. Some had their doors open with red lights in the room. A woman was giving a man a lap dance on the second floor, and as I approached the lobby, I was followed by two men. As I rushed in thinking I’d be safe inside, the inner doors were locked! I only made it to a thick window where I was greeted with a faint smile. I looked back and saw the two men hovering by the door and turned to ask the clerk if it was safe there. She looked at me a second with her dove eyes and said “safe, yeah”. I grabbed my keycard and held my breath. The men at the entrance said “hey little mama, need some help”? I said no thanks and dashed towards my car. Everyone was starring as I banged on my car window for my daughter to unlock. It was late and I said let’s just stay the night and find another place in the morning. Our room was on the second floor in the other side of the building. As we drove around the parking lot, more men were sitting on the stairways we needed to go up and another group was BBQing in front of their homes. Yes, I think most of these people actually lived there whether daily or weekly rates. At this point we left. I immediately called hotels.com for a refund, told them I felt unsafe, and got the runaround from there. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

Dirty

I like the value of the room, but the actual room itself needs some refreshing paint,bed comforter,pillow. Overall great stay a little rough around the property. Trash was outside piled up.

There was only lock on the door, the other lock was broken. The bathroom was kinda dirty, and the pillows was uncomfortable.

There was No fridge or microwave

There were gunshots in the windows, prostitutes outside, drug activity, and was over all sketchy, and there was no one at the desk by the time we arrived.

I can’t believe this hotel is on your site I was in a pinch and needed place to stay shower was so dirty I could not get in it towels and wash clothes were old and dingy and for the price I paid was definitely a bad choice!

This is one of the worst place I have ever stayed. I could not imagine a hotel can be so bad while they charged almost $100/night. Its very dirty, toilets and showers broken, the bedsheets are dirty, stinking, comforter has bunch of cigarette holes, the entire place has too much drug smell, and the entire area is very dirty. I was waiting for morning and i left that place 7.30 AM. Worst nightmare!! i will NOT recommend this place at all. The one thing i do want to mention, the front office [there is no office though, its cage] people are very humble and i feel they could sense my situation. I would like some of the money back surely.

This room was filthy, The bed linen was filthy. The sheet was a twin on a queen size bed. The bathroom was filthy. There were multiple gun shots in the immediate area. It was very obvious this was a Drug Traffic and Dealings location. Do not stay here if are not a drug dealer, user or prostitute.

I have never been to a place that false advertised as here. I couldn’t even let my family sleep in the room which was musty cigarette smell. The linens had not been cleaned or changed in probably all of 2023. Yellow stained pillows and no pillowcases. Body hair on the sheets and cigarette butts on the headboard. Still waiting on word if they are going to refund me for the money I paid up front for this giant roach motel. Didn’t stick around for the bed bugs…

This is the worst place anyone can stay. Please don’t go to this hotel. My room was completely dirty, the sheets were dirty and with hair, the smell of cigarettes was extremely strong and I had to sleep with a mask and wash my clothes. The mirrors and bathroom were dirty and the app through which I hired the hotel, contacted the reception to make the cancellation without success. The parking lot full of garbage and cigarettes on the floor. My room was 211.

Roaches, dirty walls, unsanitary, unsafe, and illegal substance exchanges..all things noticed within 10min of being on the property.

But the hotel doesn't look like the pictures They mislead my wife and I. The pictures are a FAKE. the TV was semi broke in the . The screen was green everything we watched look like the Grinch the lights took forever to cut on towels were semi dirty floor was just filthy bottom of my feet look like I was walking outside in the dirt. Pillows wasn't even real pillows l. We didn't sleep under the covers The duration of our stay we didn't see not one housekeeper we left and came back later and trash wasn't thrown away my wife had to walk to front counter to get new towels which was still dirty. Walls had holes shower was filthy door look like it's been kicked in junkies prostitutes and drug dealers were standing outside all night. I slept with my gun beside me . They don't have any housekeeper well they do it's some woman and her boyfriend in exchange of a free room but she never came and cleaned our room. When we did check out her bf told us to remove the linen off the bed put the towels outside the door and dump our trash. Which we didn't. That's not our job as a GUEST. I can't believe they asked the guest to semi clean the room. When we checked into the room it smelled clean. All they did was spray something. Smh never again. They charge $85 it's not worth $85 they are taking advantage of black people it's sad the price they charge nothing there is worth $85 night $550 a week.

The photo does not show the huge fence currently around the property, nor the dozen people hanging out outside talking and smoking. I prepaid this stay but once we arrived, I turned around and went elsewhere. This motel looks like it’s being used as temporary housing and did not look quiet, safe or clean. Would love my money back but I understand it’s my own fault for prepaying.

This place is dirty, reeks of marihuana, and there are junkies on the premise. Horrible. No toilet paper, towels are like sandpaper, and they smell. I had to buy my toiletries, Clorox wipes, and even towels.

No frills hotel is not even a low description. The photos of the rooms do not represent their reality. Never stay there.

I liked the inside clean rooms

They took my money and I never even got to use my reservation!! Waited until after I booked it to say they don’t do after midnight check ins!!!

No dead bolt (it has one piece still screwed on the door, so it has been intentionally removed. The king bed is sitting on 2 twin sized mattress frames. When it was repainted, it was done horribly. The mini fridge was fixed (it barely was cold) and is in pieces. They have water and snacks available for a dollar each. Which saved me actually, so thank you. There are prostitutes outside at night and the neighborhood is scary at best. I got a knock on my door at roughly 12:05am with someone claiming to be maintenance. I did not answer it. This place is not where I’d ever go.

The staff is very racist, the phrase "you people" is thrown around loosely. No respect at all, staff expects you to cower, as they raise their voices in a threatening way...The rooms are the size of a small closet, semi clean, rust was in the bathtub. Roaches are present. Skip this property, as there are better ones around, like America's Best Inn very clean, very nice staff, pool and breakfast is served. Do yourself a favor. Skip property. I was told to stay inside of my room and not come out.......strange right, and told to not have visitors...STRANGE, I am not a mistress of the night...I work and needed rest for the next day....SKIP THIS PROPERTY.

The perfect hotel if u like gunshot wounds, crackheads, & hookers😩 this hotel is probably where monkey pox started, but the staff was very nice. And there are plenty of stores & a liquor store right across the street

Don’t waste your money! Might as well stay at a shelter. Terrible from A-Z. So much bad I don’t have the time to even go over it. I don’t mind a cheap hotel, but this place needs to be shutdown- I would never return or visit any of there brand hotels. Just horrible. Rough neighborhood, police showed up multiple times dealing w/ crime. Just awful

This is not a hotel. This is a night club and i have a rush because of the sheets there. The smoke detoctor was beebong and this is not safe AND DIRTY. BEAWARE

I’m not very particular about hotels but this was honestly one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. There weren’t even lamps on the bedside tables. It was no-frills and at the price point I was paying I didn’t expect a lot but it didn’t feel safe around the area and the only good thing I can say is that the parking didn’t cost me anything. Mattress towels and bedding all terrible. The television didn’t work.

the walls was dirty, roaches on the floor and walls, the door did not close all the way, there were homeless people walking around all night. I didn't feel safe so i did not go to sleep. I'm not sure why this hotel is even on this site cause it looks like a run down motel. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGIAN

Stay was good. Friendly staff, but they could improve on their nonsmoking policy. All their rooms are nonsmoking, but aren't labeled as non smoking. I had to spray my room, but for the price, I have no other complaints. I would stay again. I belive with good feed back from customers, they will improve. Also my room did look like the room on display on Hotels.com.

Yes this place is inexpensive, but safety and comfort should have a bare minimum standard and this was way below. Hotels.com should be ashamed to offer this property.

There was roaches and dirty sheets and dirty bath tub

They gave my room away after I called in earlier to make sure they knew I was coming form a long way. They assured me that my room would be there…ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE

It had bugs. People were outside all night and day. Very suspicious. Towels where extremely small and thin. I had to go buy sheets a blanket Lysol and towels that’s how bad it was. Would not recommend or go back EVER

DO NOT Stay here. When I arrived, The room appeared to be clean, but was not after closer inspection. There was urine and toilet paper debris on the toilet, and also behind it. I wipe down every surface and had to clean myself. The floor wasn’t well swept so I did not feel comfortable walking around barefoot. When I asked the staff to sweep the floor For the following night, a poor job was done upon my return. They made was not thorough. Further, I killed two different ROACHES. This place has an INFESTATION. The A/c unit is old, and needs replacement. Sleeping with it on causes DUST to be blown all night, causing me to wake up sneezing and congested. Also, I heard GUNSHOTS. The parking at the facility warns to. “Park at your own risk”. Numerous crackheads, prostitutes, and unsavory folks were spotted roaming around the grounds at night near the vehicles. I strongly recommend NOT Staying here unless this is all you can afford. This is not what was advertised. SHAME on OYO.

Everything about it screamed Skid Row and there’s no way anyone should be misled into booking a room there unless they’re into getting robbed or approached by shady people. Totally scary and run down. It should not be listed as an acceptable place to stay.

This room was so nasty. The bathroom looked like it wasn’t cleaned the counters were nasty. The remote didn’t work. We asked for another towel. They tried to not give us another towel stating that we already had one when there was two people in the room. The bed was too big for the frame so it was falling off.

Amazing gorgeous place! Breakfast was delicious and cool historic vibe.

If you have no other options this is where you go. It’s basic . Not like pictures at all . Has no microwave. I would not recommend taking a sj there or Simon the seat if you have to pee. The stay was nice at check in so at least that was okay. My first booking was canceled so this was all that was left. I took a nap long enough to be able to drive then left .

It was very basic! The toilet seat had no cover. Only two over head lights., none near the bed. Mattress had no cover ony the sheet to sleep on. The morning of check out, both our room keys were deactivated by 8:40 am when check out wss at 11am.

(1)This Hotel is Drug Related Hotel, (2) Prostitution activities happening, (2) People mostly smoking weeds. (3) Dirty or Filthy environment(Trash everywhere). We almost call the police in trying to cancel our reservation. Reception is like back in 60's style and the people in the reception are horrible person. 100% not re-commending the hotel. Don't be fooled with the pictures they posting online its the worse hotel that we've seen. God hope this people will punished this hotel and the reception.

Do not rent a room here. I rented a nonsmoking room and they gave me a smoking room that smelt like death. The fridge didn’t work and the bed was broken. Terrible place.

Thee worst hotel experience. This was definitely the skid row of Atlanta. Then to make matters even worse the hotel manager (an older guy) was being extremely rude to me and my friend. This place should be shut down at the very least.

This place was terrible and it looked nothing like the online pics, the name of the hotel was completely different. There was still hair in the shower and soap stains. Room had a bad smell. the property wouldn't give me a full refund. I had to still pay for one night. there were naked toddlers running around playing in the street of the property. people yelling. it was very ghetto. i will not book with hotels.com again unless I know of the hotel. This was clearly false advertisement.

My visit was okay the room was clean the only problem I had was there was an incident where a man got shot around 2:00 a.m. in the morning I was going to get something to drink on the office told me I could not get back into my room sites down into the cold and walk around for 2 hours until I got back into my room I am not pleased with that I wish I could be find my money back or an extra night stay somewhere I'm just not satisfied with that and I was not confiscated for none of that time that was lost

This motel is terrible they say it’s a non smoking and yet the whole entire building smells of smoke I tried spraying air freshener in my room and it didn’t work and when I went to the front desk to ask to do something about the smell in my room they tried to make it seem like I was the one smoking in there mind you I’m pregnant it’s disgusting would not recommend
