Clean room. Comfortable and breakfast was a grab and go style. I would resist this establishment again and again.

Very unclean room found a bug upon arrival and after asking them to clean the room that was so dirty that it was making me sick they didn’t even clean up the leftover food and bottle caps right next to the bed. It’s a health hazard.

Most dirt are just stains they probably can't get out. The fridge still had food from someone else's stay and a little mold in it. One night was very noisy so I called the desk to see if it was maintenance or to call there attention to it if it was an issue they should be aware of. The woman was dismissive and rude. Do not expect decent customer service. Even other interactions that weren't rude were not welcoming. It was more casual/bored. Overall the customer service was the main issue, but the actual hotel was fine. If you need a cheap place in a good location it works.

I have stayed at this spot quite a few times in the past 5 years. It has been my favorite as far as cheaper hotels go.

It's a Super 8, so I didn't expect much. For a cheap hotel, the staff was very good, and friendly. I lost my key and they gave me a new one asap. They let me in a little early for breakfast. On the down side, the rooms feel old and in need of a refresh. And my room had that weird, musty, motel room smell. The breakfast very minimal. For example, they had generic bagels, but no cream cheese. The coffee was acceptable.

This is a clean, inexpensive motel that’s convenient to Emory Decatur hospital. Staff are polite and helpful. Breakfast and amenities are basic but very reasonable for the price. My room had a mini fridge , microwave, tv, and coffee maker. Breakfast options were cereal, pastries, yogurt, and oatmeal. Housekeeping cleaned my room daily.

The price and proximity to our destination. We found a cockroach and what looked like a bedbug, so we packed up and got out of there immediately. We asked for a refund but they said they couldn’t because we had booked it online. So we’re out $161.

If you need a cheap place to lay down and dont care then this is the place for you. The sheets were stained on one of the beds and the door while it locked did not close flush. The vending machine had bars on it and it says $1.50 but dont expect your change. This place served its purpose but I do not plan to come back.

Room smelled like smoke. Remote didn’t work. Half of the plugs did not work. Door lock was loose. Pretty rough overall. Cheap yes but don’t stay unless you really just need to sleep and don’t have money to spend.

The area was decent and cute. Both beds were covered in ejaculate… like all over and crusty… and they literally had no clean blankets, so they gave us giant wool sheets that ALSO had stains.

Genuinely feels like an honest establishment, decent, quiet and safe. It’s not a large hotel with massive amenities but hopefully common sense got you there already. The fella running the office is nice, straightforward.

This hotel is a hidden gem. The location is walking distance to downtown Decatur with great restaurants and shopping. The hotel is very clean. They offer breakfast and the staff is very kind and helpful. Great stay!

The room was very clean, front desk staff were amazing and very accurate. We were able to walk to Decatur square in around 7 minutes and Marta station is also at the square so very convenient. Would stay again!

Conveniently located and the room was spacious and quiet. The king bed was very comfortable! Though we did not need it, the room had a microwave and fridge. The manager seemed very nice in all our interactions. Breakfast was very basic (but you won't starve). Loved the Chobani yogurt! The room was not as clean as we would have liked. Overall not horrible but there was significant dust on many horizontal surfaces (for example, tops of baseboards, the top of the tile backsplash around the sink, etc. The heat would work if you set it to 80 degrees. Some lightbulbs in lamps were out.

No television on 2/6, No Vending Machine's for Several weeks, No Laundry for months. I have been disappointed, on the past couple of Stay's, and I will not be returning

We had an early appt at the Courthouse. It was the closest to it. More than what I expected having read some awful reviews. Room was spacious. Spotlessly clean. Smelled clean. Loved the Kitschy bedsread & curtains. The view of the cemetary thrilled my Addams Family heart, Bed & pillows , Super comfortable. Hot shower. Hair drier. Iron & Board. Breakfast had enough carbs & caffeine to see us through, All said, we would definately stay here again. Had a corner room so the airflow? vent was noisy at times but that is normal , I think ? Husband pointed out some mold stains on bathroom cieling.near the vent. Nothing that a coat of Kills can't cover. Would have liked a proper coffee maker in the room in stead of the one cup thingy. Also, there were no atrifical sweetners at breakfast (byo)

Location close to Downtown Decatur was very nice. Room was a little dated but clean enough. Maid service was daily and done well. Nice staff. Small fitness room but it's enough for traveling and convenient laundry room. Only downside is that there was no safe in the room.

I’ve stayed here a few times when traveling for work. Nothing lavish, but it’s clean, safe, no bugs, hot water, comfy bed and close to a lot of little shops and eats in downtown Decatur. This time they let me check in a bit early which was nice. I’ll stay again when I come back for work if it’s available

Hotel check in staff was great. I had a late check in because of flight delays and they were accommodating holding my room. Upon check out, they held my bags while I went to work. Clean room, safe area, lots of food options, close to MARTA. This was my second time staying here, I will definitely use it again.

Don't stay here. First of all this is not a "hotel" this is a motel. I don't usually stay in motels or places so cheap but it was just a last minute thing for one night. The check-in was behind glass. The doors weren't in a hallway. Each door opened right onto the parking lot. There was a lot of noise from people walking around and yelling. The area was super sketchy. Now the room. Everything looks old and run down from the 80's. There was something unidentifiable on the walls and it smelled like Goodwill. I don't even want to know what was on the carpet. My son didn't feel safe so we were there for a couple of hours and we left.

The room was out dates had water stains on the room and it stunk terribly. The Saturday before I arrived on Thursday I had called to see how much was early check in they said $40. Upon arrival they tried to charge me $100. I told them I was not gonna pay $100 if someone said $40. The lady then said $70 I said absolutely not. I ended up paying the $40. My niece arrived the same day and they tried to charge $70 for early check in and she also called before hand but she was told $35. They are scammers. I would never stay here or recommend anyone to stay here.

This hotel had bedbugs and they knew it because when I got bedbug bites all over and told them about it they moved me to a room that had recently been fumigated. So disgusting! Why didn’t they fumigate the whole place? The room was dirty and the whole place was sketchy. I regret booking this to save money because it was so gross and stressful and I had to throw away everything I brought.

There were pubic hairs from previous guest on the shower head, I noticed this at the end of my first shower. I informed hotel front desk of the problem and they re-cleaned the shower. I then informed the hotel that I was considering staying an extra night (my trip was extended for other reasons), and asked them if they could give me a discount for an extra night considering the pubic hair incident. They said they would ask the manager. The manager said they could discount me $5 for another night. Then they said something about 10% off. I declined their offer, I did not stay another night. They also did not offer to discount my existing reservation, which surprised me.. so here I am writing this review after I gave them an opportunity to “make it right”…

The room was suppose to be handicap accessible. I would have to call for a shower chair in the morning. My husband did not shower. The room smelled of stale cigarettes covered up with some kid of air freshener. It smelled filthy. We don't smoke.i have allergies. Needless to say, my nose was stopped up by morning. Omg! Horrible! We didnt sleep.

Perfectly located within the city and adjacent many thoroughfares. The staff was friendly yet professional. The grounds were kept clean with no trash to be seen. I’ll definitely stay at this property in the future.

My husband's reaction upon pulling in was "do we pay by the hour?" Indeed it did not pass the vibe check. The room smelled of smoke but with something perfumey sprayed over it. The fixtures and linens were extremely outdated and run down. Despite the fact that the manager would not provide us with even a partial refund (considering we had only been in the room for 10 minutes) we opted to forgo our second activity and just go home... it was such that we could not even really imagine being able to sleep in the room. Trust me when I say, it is well worth the extra $100 to get a nicer hotel. Had I taken my own advice, we could have enjoyed a nice weekend!

Budget friendly hotel located in downtown Decatur. Staff was super nice and accommodating. Rooms were clean, good hot water pressure in the shower. Walking distance to MARTA train if you don’t want to drive. Plenty of eatery’s nearby. I felt safe walking from MARTA to hotel every night coming home from downtown Atlanta. I would definitely stay here again.

Our room was not the same as the advertised picture. The pullout couch was in a different room, so an adult slept on it. The mattress for that was thin as can be. The springs were also busting through the bottom and you could feel every wire in it. The door latch was broken and could not be locked. The room was non smoking but we could tell it had been a smoking room.

Charged us $25 “Early check-in (30 minutes)” and “free breakfast” was just coffee, juice, yogurt, 2 kinds of cold cereal and packaged muffins. Room was not as nice as pictures. But I guess ok for overall.

We were very surprised at how clean and spacious it was. The area was very quiet. The only small thing was that the bathroom door didn’t close all the way. The staff were very accommodating to a few small needs we had.

Staff was great. When they found out that I had booked a smoking room by accident, and I did not wish for that they upgraded us to a larger room so we didn't have to take a smoking room. Much appreciated! The room is clean and functional. They could use some new mattresses probably. Plenty of towels and pillows. The facility is starting to show its age but everything worked just fine. Whenever breakfast was out of coffee, they made new coffee right away.

For the price and not being a major hotel, it was clean and the staff were great. It was everything it promised to be and I was extremely satisfied. If I went back to the area, I would stay here again.

When we arrived another guest was there because their key card was not working again. When we got to the desk, the clerk told us our credit card had been declined and we needed to call Orbitz. We had already paid. We decided to leave without checking in and come back later. She called 15 minutes later to say everything was good to go. We returned a few hours later and checked in with no problem. We had two rooms booked. One was perfectly clean and the keys worked. Mine was an adventure. We got to the door and the key reader was popped out with the wires showing. We discussed going back when someone opened the curtains to look at us. We immediately went back to the clerk who said no one was booked for that room. They refused to call the police and went to confront the person themself. They came back and gave us keys to a new room, which didn’t work, so we had to go down a third time to get new keys again. The first TV had no remote, and the second had a remote that didn’t work. The bathroom door wouldn’t close without two people struggling together. The property smelled strongly of marijuana.

The property well kept, We spent more time in the hotel room (weather/travel legs) than sight-seeing but because the king size bed was so comfortable it was definitely worth it. Continental breakfast options were good, (apple juice was a treat) as well. Will gladly return to this Super 8 location.

Appliances were very dated but worked and served their purpose. Overall glad they had a room available and affordable. I recommend others rent a car or plan on walking. The Marta Train was a lifesaver and fun experience. Neighborhood was safe to walk day and night.

However, the room had a noticeably odd smell, the hair dryer did not work (they did give us another one), and the TV only seemed to receive local over-the-air channels, plus the remote had difficulty operating the TV (turning on/off, changing channels, and controlling volume). Also, the free breakfast was very limited!

I felt like the customer service was poor because when I went to the front desk to see if my room was extended an extra night through expedia, it was not. The expedia price was $144 on a Friday night, but at the front desk it was $160. So I gave him my card and he charged it, but while I was waiting for him to give my card back, I pulled up Expedia and saw the room was still $144 and asked if he would honor that rate. I had not signed the room charge on for my credit card and I pointed that out to him. He said no, sorry I already charged your card. I didn't feel like arguing anymore so I just signed it. How hard would it have been to simply cancel that transaction? Not hard. All for a few more bucks. I'm guessing the hotel makes more money if they book it themselves instead of through Expedia? I would like to see a refund for the difference.

The Decatur Super 8 is located just outside the highly walkable Decatur city center (10 minute walk) and access to MARTA which is why I picked it. The staff were super friendly and the room comfortable and quiet. The place is also affordable vs other options in the area. With that said, the property is showing its wear and tear and needs a facelift. It is a good value if you don't mind your room not being in pristine condition.

Dirty walls/door/fridge, mold on fridge seal, the room smelled bad. Asked for different room, which was slightly less dirty and smelly, but the people in the room next door were sketchy-looking and smoking marijuana outside and playing loud music. Clerk said they couldn’t do anything about the people. Seemed like potentially unsafe area, judging by the metal cage over the vending machine and the small check-in lobby where the clerk was behind a glass window and papers/ID were passed through a little opening, like at a movie theater. We could not bear to stay there and found a different hotel.

Although, it was a no smoking hotel, my room smell like cigarette. The room was not well ventilated. Walking down the hallway one can perceive cigarette and/or weed smell from the rooms. There is a lot of cocroaches in this facility, having a hay day everywhere. I found a roach in the refrigerator and long strand of hair in the freezer. Breakfast wise, not many options to choose from: Cereal, instant oatmeal, yogurt, small pre-packaged muffins and juice. No meat. The staff were very cordial.

Everything was good in the room but getting to the room was the issue. The key card did not work. Had to walk back to front desk then it did not work again. So the third try the lady came and helped but still had trouble. So if you left the room. You could not get back in. So when we came back to get our stuff from the room when checking out it happened again so they need to up grade or fix the card system they have in place.

This property is a clean and convenient location to overnight for trips to Emory. We really did not stay in the hotel long enough to form an opinion, but it was clean and provided all of the amenities needed for an inexpensive overnight stay. Would stay here again.

this property is a hidden gem at a walkable distance from beautiful downtown Decatur. I really enjoyed the room I stayed in the last time here But not as much this time. Last time I had a beautiful room at the back of the property on the second floor and my window overlooked the beautiful Decatur cemetery. This time the room was at the front of the property so morning traffic can wake you up. it was clean, yet the bathtub did not drain well at all, and the front door was sticking and was hard to open and close and when I locked the door, it took everything I had to unlock it.

I had to request a second room because the door to the first room looked like it had been kicked in at some point. I didn’t feel safe. You can see they are trying to make the rooms look good but it’s not enough for me. Not worth the money spent.

I was so happy with my stay. The price of the room was a bargain and the room was perfect. Very clean and comfortable with all the typical amenities that you would want. The man that checked me in was very nice and he made it a quick and easy process. Very close to downtown Decatur and in a nice neighborhood. It is a place I will stay again if I once again need a hotel in that area.

What I paid didn't match the facilities at all. Had to argue with the young lady at the front desk to get another room. I requested a no smoking room and my room smelled like Snoop Dog had a party in there. The rooms are completely outdated with uncomfortable beds. Definitely wouldn't stay there again.

Something was wrong with the door of our room. It looked like it had been previously kicked-in and not repaired properly. IT DID NOT LOCK! When we went to the office to report this problem at around 8:30 pm - there was no one there to respond to our concern. Terrible!

Management was exceptional in seeing to our needs. The room was very clean and daily housekeeping service was excellant. Clean linens and towels. Also felt very safe.

We stayed for one night and had everything we needed for that. Water was hot, room was clean, a/c worked, staff was friendly. We didn't use all the amenities since it was such a short stay but it was nice to know they were available. Breakfast was simple but good enough. This is a great budget option

We were awakened by people quarreling loudly outside the rooms. The lobby is locked at night and check in is through a security window. In the room, the coverplate on the electrical outlet had broken and fallen off. Though there were no active ceiling leaks there was evidence of past leaks.
