Motel 6 Denver, CO – Downtown

Staff was great, room was clean. But needs major updating. Holes in curtains. Tub felt like you were going to fall through the floor. Also very thin walls and lots of "interesting people yelling interesting things" throughout the night

The bed was in good shape and the room was clean. The room as paid for was supposed to include cable TV and a swimming pool. The cable TV had no signal and the pool was closed due to a chemical imbalance for the whole 2 night stay. The front staff said on the first day that they expected both problems to be fixed by the next morning but neither issue ever got fixed. Half of the lights in the room were also not working and the toilet only flushed 50% of the time.

Not much Bathroom door had long term damage and did not close, not good for privacy. It should have been obvious to staff. Cable tv was out. Toilet ran all night 4 nights. Bed was uncomfortable. Asked to be moved but property was sold out. A refund or reduction should be granted.

Very affordable and convenient location as we went to a concert at the Empower Stadium. Very close to fast food, convenience stores, and a restaurant. No iron available in the room, but you can leave your ID at the front desk and they can lend you one.

I won't ever go stay at this motel 6 Denver Colorado ever again! Had to beg for fresh body towels the hole 4 days we stood there! Never got them either I had to go buy my own. Plus maids are Rude plus not one maid or maintance personal spoke one word of English! Toilets were plugged had to use plunger to unplug! This motel is disgusting n needs to be investigated n cleaned up both on grounds, rooms and all personal employees! No towels for 3 days , no working toilet , dope feens all over property.

This is a motel , so expect roadside motel conditions . Excellent staff but the motel itself is basic , amenities are basic and so are room conditions. Cleanliness could be much better both inside and outside the rooms.

The staff are the most important part of the facility and I can say from experience they are some of the most helpful, kind, genuine people I have met in a long time. They always remember me and I mean everything about me. It's hard enough to do the job they do let alone show up every day still smiling and willing to go that lil bit more to remember me and my story and genuinely what to help me when ever they can. With that being said I'd like to give a shot out to every one by name Tyler thanks for always being the perfect image of patience no matter how much of a mess I am. Diamond you are so calm and collected every time I come to you with issues with my stay and we always manage to come up with a solution that fixes everything and sends me off feeling heard and valued as a guest, Jamal your just awesome There isn't anything I don't like.

All the staffs are very friendly and approachable. The mattress is very comfortable and I do appreciate the early morning coffee , mini fridge and providing lots of towels. It will get better if the iron and mini hair dryer and water can be provided all day.

The price was reasonable, there wasn't trash around the property and securely managed. The staff was mindful of the property. To be exact, we had 2 rooms that were side by side. My kids were playing around knocking and hiding ( just with our rooms) my older boys were playing and pulled them in the room, one of the managers came quickly to the room to make sure everything was ok because on the camera it looked like my younger boy was being kidnapped,she said. I love that the staff was concerned about the safety of my children and family. In one of the rooms the water pressure was really hard and in the other room there was hardly any water pressure. In room 219 the tub had a lot of hair in the drain and the tub didn't drain quickly when we showered. The stairway to our room was pretty sticky and dirty.

Well I'll say this this is not the first second time this has happened with motel 6 that I've had been in there oh in the last couple of months I've been there 678 times that I've had a change rooms because of the heated didn't work there was no TV you know then the TV wouldn't work then there's no towels for some reason I found that problem and the properties on very very clean they're always doing something but that's my opinion that's that's what I think what I'll say about it

Nothing at all. One of the worst motels I’ve ever stayed at. This place was disgusting and unsafe. I had to leave because I was being harassed by other visitors/tenants. Front desk was very helpful in helping us leave. It was very unsafe and unwelcoming. As I previously mentioned there were people smoking weed and cigarettes in the parking lot. They were blasting music in the parking lot. Other tenants were being rude to us and other visitors. There were half naked people outside. This was the most disgusting and disturbing place I’ve ever stayed at.

Do not stay here. I did not feel safe. My husband and I checked in and the first room we were put in smelled extremely like smoke and I couldn’t breathe. The second room we were put in had red stains on the floor, speckled red blots on the bathroom wall, and the door did not shut all the way and the locks did not work. We stayed a total 30 minutes and booked a diff hotel.

Staff was great. Lilith That i paid for my room. Accidentally i put the dates for April on this site. Lillith asked me to fix it. I went back in to booking.com and it charged me again for fixing the date and then when I went to my room Lillith told me I had to pay because it was not showing. I paid 3 times. And I've emailed and no answers. Motel was great, booking.com not so customer service like as I haven't had a response.

I booked this location because it got decent reviews and was close to where I was working, but it was pretty sketchy. There were definitely some very questionable activities going down at all times in the parking lot. Stains in the shower, barely any sheets, you could hear everything through the walls, and the lock on my door was flimsy. I didn’t feel safe walking to the restaurant next door in broad daylight. I won’t be staying here again.

Room was clean and tidy. Front desk was super friendly and helpful. The motel itself isn't in the best neighborhood and it's right next to the highway, but if you're looking for someplace that's cheap and only 8 minutes from downtown Denver, this is the spot!

Guests were smoking crack on the property. No microwave in the rooms, the only soap is one bar nothing else, dirty grounds, many walls and things need remodeled or at least painted. The sinks have barely any water flow my first room had next to none before I asked to move. A lot of the issues are the loud guests. If I was with my family I would have left as soon as I pulled into the parking lot.

My expectations for a Motel 6 are pretty low, and this place was pretty bad. But hot water and towels, and a sleep-able bed, I guess it meets expectations.

The staff was slow, the office was dirty and smelled horrible, the rooms were not that clean and the AC in one room was not working.

The wait, had to wait 30 min to check in, got to the room and unloaded. Found out the heater did not work. Had to wait two hours to move rooms. Finally got a new room. Heater worked great, the only initial complaint was cleanliness like marks on the walls and dust all over the ceiling. About an hour later we were going to shower, but the tub would not drain.

I mean, well, big fan of the single pane windows so I can hear everything going on outside and they can hear every noise I make inside. It also didn’t help that my door and door frame didn’t exactly align when shut, it was as if my door was always cracked open.

That staff was absolutely terrible and not helpful at all. I’m honestly tired of dealing with people who would rather cause problems than try and fix them.

They had an elevator. Also when I was out enjoying the day they cleaned my room well. It wasn't the cleanest when I checked in. They wouldn't give me new towels or trash bags unless I went all the way to the front desk. The wifi stopped working two days in out of the 6 days I was there. The tv is super small. They had no top blanket

Didn't expect much but it still sucked. Probably the worst hotel experience if my life. Pretty sure I got bed bug bites. The night manager was incredibly rude, and not just to me, but to everyone that came in. They don't accept tap to pay, so don't be fooled.

Room reeked of smoke. Poor water pressure. Whenever the room above me used the shower, a stream of water would gush from a vent above the tub. I was expecting the ceiling to fully collapse into the bathroom.

My husband and I traveled over 10 hours from out of state and arrived at the property around 5 am. Their property details said check in time never ends, which is one reason we chose this property. There was no staff in the office to check us in when we arrived. Called the local number several times and could not get ahold of anyone. Called the corporate support number and they told us to wait and call the local number again. I contacted Expedia and they were also unable to get in contact with the front desk. Thank goodness for Expedia support as they processed our refund request and we were able to find other accommodations. The property also had a car sitting on only rims close to the front office area. I will never book the hotel again and would recommend finding literally any other option.

Thankfully the night I was turned away in the middle of the night, I found the Plaza Hotel 5 minutes from this property, I called them and explained my situation, they were super nice and willing to help me. Do not waste your money or time here, just book with the Plaza Hotel Denver Central, their rates are even similar from Motel 6.

The TV was barely visible. The bathtub didn't drain but that didn't matter since the water barely came out of the shower head. And after arranging for the shower head to be replaced, they didn't bother to show up to do it. I guess for $400 a week why should I to get to take a decent shower or watch a decent TV?

I don't know how this place got a 7.0 and a good rating because this place should be burned to the ground. It is nothing but drug dealers and hookers. They have people living there with pitbulls running around. We had reserved it for four nights, but we left after the first one. It was terrifying. They were doing drug deals in the parking lot all night people screaming and yelling. My room was disgusting, and when I walked in the door, it looked like somebody had already been laying in the bed. Dirt and hair and bugs everywhere. The front desk clerk announced my friend and my room numbers out loud in front of people in the lobby. Then at 3 o'clock in the morning, somebody was calling my hotel phone and saying horrible things and threatening me. They would call back over and over until I finally figured out how to unplug the phone. I called the front desk seven times and all it did was ring and then hang up on me. In the morning the front desk clerk said why didn't you just come to the office? I would've moved your room. I'm sorry if someone's telling me they're going to do bad things to me. Do you honestly think I'm going to step out of my room??? we waited for daylight, packed up and lit out of there! DO NOT STAY HERE

The heat stopped working after an hour the first night (it started blowing cold air on 85 and heat settings) and no one ever came by to look at or fix it; we had no blankets in our room at all and had to ask to get any.

Not have to move our belongings to another room, I contacted the front desk morning clerk to switch it over and keep the room as I began to explain to the desk clerk about continuing the reservation she abruptly insinuated that I might be there to rape and or kill my wife, who made the early reservation the day before mine on top of that the room was not as described. It was a single bed. Basically, the size of a closet. The room was dirty. The door did not seal. The area is terrible. We were informed by a 30 year veteran of the Denver Police Department that was a high risk area and that there was any indication of a problem to notify her and or the police immediately for our own safety. The staff was horrible. They did not clean the rooms. They did not replace towels and or any other amenities. We had to walk to the front office to even retrieve a new roll of toilet paper and we’re told that we only have one at a time, transit and homeless people camping out in the laundry facilities and the ice machine area, there was no made service. It had to be set by appointment all in all probably the one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a motel 6, no good

The heater did not work, would only blow cold air, the hanging rack was broken and about to fall off the wall, and lastly, the sink only ran cold water at a trickle.

This past Saturday night, at 10:30 pm, I looked up and saw water coming through the ceiling onto my bed! I called the office, she had no one to help, they just left it to flood all night. Since water was going onto the bed, she would give us a different room. That was good, but they would not help or even lend us a cart to move. OK, so we moved it , I am 65 and disabled, loads of fun. The new room had a fridge, and a lovely golden roach in the tub. I dispatched it, life goes on. It turns out that it is a "deluxe" room and costs $10 more a night... BAIT and SWITCH! We were planning on staying here until the 13th when our apt is ready, but I will not be paying extra for the room they gave us when the room we had was flooded! The man at the desk this morning, said I have to reserve and pay for the deluxe room, or I could "check out and not come back." The man at the desk this morning, treated me like I was garbage on his shoe. He said that he told me before, I have to reserve and pay for the "deluxe room" or else.

The first room was ugly, the tub needs painting, the mirror was crooked, and the door leaked all the time. I was OK with it, but then Saturday night, at 10:30 at night, we had to leave the room, we had to move because there was water pouring onto my bed. They gave us another room, and we moved all our things in the cold night. Turns out the new room costs more and they expect me to pay the extra! Bait and switch. This room is extra because of the roaches? Is that it? I am livid and I will not be treated like this. The man at the desk, well his solution is that I can "check out and not come back" if we don't want to pay the extra. Or maybe we can move to a lessor room? I am going to take this as far as possible, I will not be treated like scum at these rates.

Room was a bit rough even for a motel 6. People talking and outside the room all hours of the night. Hard to sleep it was so loud. The door to the room was warped and did not shut all the way at. A lot of creepy people around. Made sure to park by lights and a camera as it’s pretty sketchy! Front desk guy was nice. Would not stay again.

I'm just curious whatever happened to customer service, it's a shame how bad customer service has gotten!!! I will say this the next two nights we decided to go to Motel 6 in Greenwood village and it was a 100% better the customer service was terrific and the rooms were definitely cleaner.

My room was located on the highway side of the building. It was terribly loud. Door wouldn't close properly.

One of the days from my travel it was a bit chilly and I tried turning on the heat for a little while, however it did not turn on at all. You can hear everything from the room above. Going in and out of the room the bathroom, showering and flushing. The door had to have been re done or something the door itself seemed like it was out of place it looked like it was open, the only thing from keeping it non visible was the rubber seal around the door.

Room was never cleaned properly,toilet didn’t flush and hair everywhere. Door didn’t shut completely and all sorts of screaming at all hours of the night. Never had hot water to shower with and no one to complain to. One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

It was also a little noisy outside so that was an inconvenience. I was able to sleep so it met my needs. I would recommend that they look to cleaning up the area however.

The door had trouble opening and shutting. The keycards stopped working the second day. The elevator door scrapes when it shuts. The ac only kind of worked. And the entire property smells of weed. The front desk lady however was very sweet and did her best to make the stay better.

Really impressed with the professionalism of the staff.

There were people fighting a few doors down and i tried calling the front desk and there was no answer. People were smoking weed on the balconies as well as in their rooms. I am requesting a full refund as i also did not feel safe in that area

I choose this place to stay based on the proximity of my concert. My room has not been swept there spackel in multiple places in the room instead of replacement or repair if what best I can describe as damage from a fight. This includes bathroom door and door frame, bathtub, and walls. My phone does work what's so ever. I also gave the opportunity that the cord from the plugged in phone jack just wasn't connected. But I was incorrect and it was. I can see day light through 3 sides of my padlocked and chained door. There is a fight between two people that not only has been verbal but physical against the wall of my room. Ive also attempted to call the front desk for a full hour; ringing till timed out and then hung up on to dial right back and not been answered once. I also tried to call the reservation line who gave me a phony alternate number. That number was 9723605900.. guess what I'm not happy with this stay!

The room and the staff was okay. The property though had plenty of people hanging and making a lot of noises in the hallways you’d wonder if they were guests at the hotel or creeps. I even caught someone in the act trying to peep through the curtains. Definitely felt unsafe.

I try to give most places the benefit of the doubt but this is the sketchiest Hotel I have ever stayed at. In The parking lot I saw people selling drugs. Saw a few ladies of the night selling their services. Also lots do sketchy characters. The room was ok. It has been updated recently and was pretty clean. If we could put that room in hotel with a safer exterior I would stay there again.
