Best Western Gwinnett Center Hotel

Even though my stay was okay, when I called to request to be transferred to another Best Western closer to the venue they answer was that every owner is different in each hotel. Then I asked them about the option to give me refund so I can move, and they said no.

I did not get the handicap room that I was charged for. I got a smaller room and the maid walked in on me as I’m taking a shower. She didn’t knock on the door. Didn’t say anything. This was crazy. I deserve a refund.

The breakfast was excellent. Was disappointed to find the swimming pool locked at 7pm when it was supposed to open till 10pm.

Maybe for sanitation but used too much detergent for bed sheets. Smell was so strong that gave me headaches. There was no cups except the thin plastic cups for the bathroom use. Body lotion was n’t provide. Breakfast was minimal. Fruit was green apple only. They provide scrambled egg but I don’t eat egg yolk. I wish rather have boiled egg.

Main complaints were renovations on the property upon arrival so it was noisy and busy. The front desk attendant was also on the phone with what sounded like corporate upon arrival as well, which caused a wait of around 10-15 minutes. Not the end of the worth, only a minor complaint. Location is convenient to other areas in Gwinnett and surrounding areas. Unsure if I would stay here again, but it was ok.

The Best Western Gwinnett was very nice and clean. The staff were very pleasant and informative. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast area was clean with staff continuing to check on the food and clean tables and handles on the egg & bacon/sausage trays. They had a good choice of food items. The pancake machine was something new to me and fun to watch as you wait for your pancakes. The property had good parking spaces and you didn’t have to go far to the entrance of the hotel.

The location was very convenient with lots of good food options nearby. Staff were all friendly, efficient, and provided great service. The carpets needed to be deep cleaned (I wore socks and they were dirty from the carpets), but everything else was decent.

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend, and the entire hotel staff—from the receptionist to the person serving breakfast—was very pleasant. The room was very clean—including the bed and the bathroom—and everything in general was excellent; the breakfast and parking were also good. I would stay at this hotel again, and we recommend it 100%.

This was a great place to stay, clean and quiet. We had a king bed, which was very spacious. The lobby had a wonderful scent that greeted you when you came in, and our room had a microwave and mini fridge, which was great. I would stay here again and would recommend.

And it’s so close to so much shopping and food places in walking distance and short drives. Best hotel for the price for sure. And sign up for the membership rewards site and you get a nice discount on your rooms.

It is so clean

My room was clean and quiet. I stayed for nearly a week on a business trip. Ever person I came in contact with was friendly and helpful.

The staff while checking in was extremely professional. I believe his name was Al he was the one who checked us in. There were a few people ahead of us and I saw how he promptly took care of each guest and did gave us the same respect as he did the other guests.

We enjoyed a hot breakfast with great service. We will return

Do i start with the blood stains on a towel and the sheets, or do I start with bother the toilet and shower were clogged upon arrival? Yes. You read it correctly and when brought to the attention of the front desk a housekeeper brought me up a plunger and handed it to me and sauntered off on her merry way. No maintenance person, no apology or transfer to another room; just here you go...fend for yourself. I've never experienced anything like that in any budget friendly hotel and it'll be a cold day in hell before I give Best Western another nickel. The only positive is the property is in a great place if you love Asian cuisine, especially Korean and Japanese. Oh! I forgot the mismatched paint covering water stained drywall and carpets that will turn your feet black if you don't wear socks or some kind of footware.

In general, this is a good hotel

The stay was pleasant, as always. Two extremely minor dislike, the turntable in the microwave did not turn and the freezer shelf in the mini-fridge was missing. Breakfast was excellent, as always and staff was friendly, A+ place to stay. :-)

Other guests should be quieter after midnight. Hotels should be for sleep not party. Needs better soundproof from highway noise, especially more so in cold weather. The chemicals smell is strong when you first enter a room.

We had a very nice stay at BW, the rooms were clean and surrounding areas were neat and tidy. I had a business trip at a nearby conference area. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to partake of breakfast due to my meeting. However, upon checkout the staff were to kind to my Mom and made sure that she was nice and comfortable. I want to send praises to Mr. Danny Rana and team for ensuring her and me that it was all right for her to sit in the lobby area while l was at the conference. Even though it was for a short stay I am grateful this team and their kindness.

Good value for the price. The gentleman who checked us in was extremely friendly and helpful. Location was in good proximity to our daughter's apartment in Duluth. Everything was clean, well maintained, and appeared to have been somewhat recently remodeled. AC worked well and the room was quiet. Some minor areas for improvement -Lack of ventilation in the bathroom caused the room to feel constantly damp (a common problem in many hotels). -With a couple of tweaks the breakfast could be great; muffins were dry, the only fresh fruit available was apples, and there was nothing to put on the plain yogurt (berries or granola would be a simple fix) but the hot offerings were very good and kept well stocked, other cold options were decent and there was sufficient room in the dining area for everyone to be seated. We stayed here 2 days, checked out and traveled north to the mountains for 2 days and then were pleased enough with this hotel that we re-booked (even ended up with the same room!) for the remaining 2 days of our trip.

I booked this location as an alternative to staying at the neighboring, mold infested "Sonesta" hotel for a yearly "Knight Rider" fan gathering. Was not disappointed! The room was clean, I was delighted to have "smart tv" viewing options to watch my favorite streaming services, mini-fridge, microwave, included free WI-FI, AND the FREE breakfast was just what I needed to start my day off right! Staff were great too! I highly recommend this hotel if luxury is not your concern and you just need a nice, clean, room to sleep in. I would definitely stay here again!

I would’ve given 5 stars, it was a decent place, the carpet in the rooms needs to be shampooed. Whenever we would enter the room that muggy, moldy smell hits you. Our daughter has asthma, this wasn’t great for her. Other than that it was a good stay, they actually offer turkey sausages as a breakfast option, I’ve never see. That before.

Room was as expected. Check in took a while, otherwise service was great. Shower had some weird residue but otherwise room was clean. Ac worked really well.

I liked was the lobby, my room & the fitness center was nice & clean. Everything was working properly & the hotel staff were friendly & respectful. What I didn't like was when i was at the checkout, my room wasn't ready. I almost would've got the 3rd floor, but luckily, I got the 2nd floor. I wish I could've got the first floor, but it was all full. The elevator was out & they had to fix it when I was checking out of the hotel. There were 2 rusty holes at the side of the bathtub wall.

Property was lacking in terms of upkeep and cleanliness. Elevator was broken and there was a dead roach on the desk of the room. When I informed the front desk staffer he was courteous but said there was nothing he could do regarding a partial refund because I booked thru Expedia. Definitely would not stay here again.

The front desk was friendly and professional however the room had a smell and when we pulled back the covers there was a finger nail in the bed. I really hope they didn’t just make the bed from previous guest . That was really gross

The air conditioner in room 316 was so loud that I couldn’t sleep and the room smelled like it had been cleaned with dirty mop water. Staff was great, but wouldn’t recommend.

It is convenient to many unique restaurants from many areas of the world. Also grocery stores with products from all over the world. The property is older but the room was clean and the breakfast very adequate. The evening desk clerk was a kind well dressed older gentleman who made me feel welcomed.

We stayed on a Friday night and attended a concert at the Gas South Arena which was a short drive from the hotel. We returned late at night and felt very safe walking across the parking lot to the hotel entrance. Breakfast buffet was tasty with a nice variety of hot & cold food items. Coffee was good and always available in the lobby as well as a dispenser with refreshing fruit-infused water. The hotel room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The shampoo/soap products smelled nice. There is an iron/ironing board in the room that we used. Both were clean & in good working order. The hotel has interior hallways and is smoke-free. The property & standard 2 double room pictures on Travelocity were accurate. The price was right too!

I don’t understand why this hotel has such a high rating. I booked it solely because of the high score, but my family—even the kids—felt uneasy staying here. The hotel is run-down and too old, with mold in several places in the bathroom. The fridge was noisy and disrupted my sleep. The only positive aspect was the friendly staff. However, I don’t recommend this hotel, especially for a family trip.

I stayed a week at Best Western after a terrible experience with Clarion Hotel next door. I was looking for to move to the area. The staff and management were extremely cordial. The week flew by and it felt safely than staying at the hotel next door which had homeless people roaming the parking lot. That being said, if I were to ever stay at a hotel for a reasonable price in Duluth, I would stay there again. The breakfast was good and the location was very convenient with plenty of shopping and dining options. Make sure to sign up for Best Western rewards to earn points towards your stay.

Good clean hotel close to the Global Mall that we were visiting. Chilled Lime flavored water 24/7 was great to have. Coffee/tea was available 24 hours. Check-in and Check-out were both smooth. Breakfast was OK and could improve with some basic fruits like apple/bananas.

We made a reservation for 4 days, but the bed size too small my husband and my son slept there I slept my sister in-law housebut it doesn't cost money yet.they said We slept one night and canceled the next day. That's when I canceled, they said they would pay for it for one night, but they haven't paid for it yet. I'm waiting. Money back

This was a great hotel for the price. Our check in guy Al was so nice and friendly. Some wear and tear, but overall good for a night's stay. If we were in this area again, would book again.

Room was located in the first floor close to reception and dining area which made it a bit noisy at times! Had some issues with the toilet not flushing our first day but the maintenance person (Gustavo), arrived fast and quickly fixed the problem! Overall room was great, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was included even though was plenty it could have more variety! All hotel staff were very nice and helpful!

No room service was offer, bed was comfortable, water was hot, the remote didn’t work for the 1st night , breakfast was cool apple juice and orange juice was strong kindly blend it out. Breakfast is at 6:30am parking lot tightvon weekends. You can hear ppl outside the room and the doors slams. 4 ppl on the elevator ( scary) overall great stay. Cheaper prices on line.

The Staff were nice and polite. Although, their hotel was in shambles. Everything is run down. It is like no maintenance was done for over 10 years or more. It is sad because I was staying in a nearby less expensive hotel that was in tip-top shape and wanted to give my granddaughters a better experience so chose this more expensive and better rated hotel and got the bottom of the barrel instead. It was hard running from a potential hurricane days in advance to get to a very unkept and shoddy place. It's in desperate need of maintenance 10 years ago. I am so upset that Orbitz/Expedia ratings were so high, I was duped out of big money to live waiting out the Storm in a ramshackle of a place. Sad.

Hotel staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel definitely needs to be updated. The sheets and bedding were clean but the floors had not been vacuumed as evidenced by my finding a contact lens on the carpet beside the bed. I could not keep the shower curtain closed which in turn caused water to get all over the floor when I showered. The room had a smell that drove me crazy and was very disappointing. Overall I felt like the room was not clean and I could not stand the smell. Just keep in mind that you get what you pay for. I will not be staying there again.

Even with the request, it still didn't work.

Cleanliness is first consideration and the hotel is good, at least no bugs nor insect. Room smelled due to age of building and bathroom looks old although acceptable in terms of the price. Staffs were helpful but only one out of a group can communicate effectively in English. I once ask for additional quilt and call reception. I expect delivery but none came. I called again, and finally find out I have to go down to reception to pick it. Air conditioning is cold enough but I need to slide the window open a bit to let in fresh air so as to get rid of the room smell. Free breakfast was not impressive, but at least you have machine made pan cake. Conclusion: if you look for affordable and clean accommodation, this is still a good choice

The hotel is okay but the mattresses were very soft and I got a really sore back. Special call-out though to the amazing receptionist, Al, who was tremendously helpful, particularly in guiding us to area restaurants.

This property was quite clean & the staff seemed caring but the house keeping did not speak English at all so telling her an issue did nothing!?
