What I didn’t like is that the guy that took our luggage to room said he didn’t have a thing to hold door at room, was expecting me to hold it for him.. that door it’s very heavy, if he lost it he should request another one..

Loved the lazy river just wish it were open a little later than 6pm. Only problem we had was from the cigarette smell in the casino drifting upstairs to some of the rooms. Other than that we had a wonderful time.

The room was clean but the toilet seat was broken and made lots of noise. Also the sky view restaurant was aweful! The food was incredibly salty and my chicken was undercooked and made me sick from taking the first bite. I returned it, the waitress was very understanding but at that point the food had made me nauseous and sick.

The young lady that check me. I asked about the pool and she said oh it’s open you can go down. I went down to the pool area and needed a wristband and I went back to her and she said I gave it to me and then she accused me of losing it.How could I lose something I didn’t have. She was very argumentative.

Always a great stay

Sycuan is the go to place to relax. If you gamble great. I go to relax in their lazy river. It's an adult only casino. They have plenty of choices to eat. Everyone was super friendly and the food was delicious. The time of the year is important cuz it can be inexpensive at certain times of the year. I'll go back every year just to relax in that river!

Food was great at the Viewpoint restaurant. My third year of celebrating my birthday.🎈🎂🎉

The only complaint I have is the pool bar. My husband didn’t like the fact that all his beers were opened , got a bucket I understand they don’t want us bringing outside alcohol They check bags at entrance of pool That should be enough They need to come up with a different system .

Our room was especially impressive — spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with charging outlets and stations everywhere, which was such a convenience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Sycuan to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-run hotel experience.

What Vegas used to be and should be. A place where they know how to treat customers and make you feel welcome and appreciated. First time visitor (certainly not the last time) to Sycuan Casino Resort and from the Valet staff, reception, restaurants, dealers, spa staff and drinks service all the staff were friendly and went above and beyond. Room was excellent and all the facilities incredibly clean and well maintained, fantastic spa and amazing pool area - forget the corporate, cash gouging of Vegas, come to a place where they appreciate your business. Downtown San Diego is about a 20 mins drive away.

Love spending Mother’s Day at Sycaun with my Mom!

Unfortunately, this most recent stay was very different. The front desk service was disappointing the staff member I dealt with was rude, condescending, and unhelpful when I tried to ask a simple question. At the pool, I was unable to find a single available chair. I asked three different servers for assistance, but each one told me to just walk around and look for chairs with towels on them that might have been abandoned by other guests, and to remove the towels myself. This did not feel like the level of customer service I have come to expect from Sycuan. I truly enjoy this resort and hope this was an isolated experience, but I wanted to share this feedback in the hope that service standards can be addressed so future visits reflect the excellent hospitality I know Sycuan is capable

The rooms and the casino are lovely the staff was extremely helpful and courteous however we needed and Ada room and there were grab bars in the toilet area but there were no grab bars in the shower which was extremely dangerous also there was just a shower head there was no hose I expect to see a hose at any establishment I stayed again this new showering extremely difficult for my disabled partner the food was good prices were a little exorbitant

The property is beautiful! Rooms are nice, hotel smells good (not overwhelming with cigarette smoke), outside pool area is gorgeous. Cons - the front desk staff is so rude! I’ve been several times and every interaction I have with them has been awful. AWFUL. In regards to late checkout, they all tell you different things and get rude when you ask clarifying questions. The pool closes at 5pm and at certain times of the year, the entire area isn’t open. We ate at the Bull steakhouse and view point kitchen, both meals were pretty good and had great service too. Besides the awful front desk staff, I love this place!

The property itself is nice, unfortunately we were not told nor was it announced on theiror website that their lazy river would be closed until 04/17/2026.Very dissapointed that was the main reason why I booked it to enjoy with my GIRL.Anyhow I had to go through the hassle of calling them and asking for my resort fee back,which they stated they would do.We have been to HARRAHS on a few occasions for their lazy river and has not been a disappointment,we thought we give this place a chance.Unfortunately we were dissapointed.

The casino had so many different areas, smoking and non-smoking. The employees were so nice and accommodating and the rooms were spacious, updated and clean. The food in the restaurants 😋 was tasty and affordable. We will definitely be going back!

Rooms, hotel and casino are clean and nice. The only downfall is that the hallways within the hotels (located by the rooms) smell so strongly of cigarette smoke. They are non-smoking floors but I think people are sneaky because it’s overwhelming.

The rooms are clean, but housekeeping services are only upon request. You can ask for additional amenities and water from the staff to replace what you have used if you choose to not have your room cleaned. The front staff has always been exceptional.

We were there during a heat wave though and the pool closed at 5 and they didn’t have the lazy river going for some reason which is one of the reasons I booked it. It would be helpful to have known that. Also only two of the 4 restaurants were open. Otherwise, we enjoyed what we could of the lovely facilities.

Unfortunately this time of the year the majority of the pools were closed. The one pool was only open 9-5, and the pool bars were all closed. However, the pool area was beautiful. We were more interested in hanging out at the pool versus gambling.

This resort is so beautiful. Even in the off season the outdoor space was nice. One pool was open and the water temperature was perfect. The room was nice and clean. The shower was awesome. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I'm a VIP customer through Hotels.com, and there was no room upgrade. The front desk service leaves much to be desired, and the pool closes at 5 pm without any prior notice.

Room was nice. Pillows didn’t have much support were kind of flat. My dad says his bed was hard in his room. I was sad the pool and jaccuzzi closed at 5pm. There was no entertainment on a Thursday night so was kind of not as fun as a weekend night.

When tried to use it at breakfast at the Viewpoint the next morning they told me I forfeited the credit since I had already checked out, it was 11:30am, check out was at 11am. Ridiculous policy, they didn't inform me of that at check in.

wear. Casinos slots were very tight everyone I met complained about loosing money. Bed and pillows were hard, especially if you are not used to sleeping on a hard ones. Curtains in room are not black out. Bathroom shower and sink water pressure were terrible. I guess they have water problems. Please take your body wash, they give you a tiny travel size. Restaurants for dinner was a bust, not steak house, did not try. AC made noise at night . No coffee machine, no microwave. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

The room was very clean , staff were very friendly and polite.

We did not receive the room upgrade or the $25 credit that had been discussed beforehand. When I mentioned it at the front desk, the staff said it was not included in our reservation. After I insisted, the front desk agent checked with the manager, who said it would be honored, but in the end, we never received anything. Later that night, we went to the lobby and were told to eat something and assured that we would not be charged, but this situation was also unclear. The bed itself was acceptable, but much too firm for our comfort. Overall, if you can tolerate constant noise and heavy smoke smells, the hotel may be manageable. However, despite some efforts by the staff, this was one of our worst stays.

We stayed there one night in a very clean room. The air conditioning kept it at a nice. There were plenty of restaurants to choose from. The only "interesting" thing that we noticed was that it was not easy to open the room with the electronic keys provided, we had tried several times before the door was activated open by the card.

I love the property. Free parking and wifi is nice! The property seems to be well kept. I love the pool deck. The lazy river was closed and that sucks. The pool closes at 5pm but i understand the temp drops considerably when the sunsets. I used my food credit at pink Buddha. The food was okay. I would eat there again. My room is modern, updated and spacious. The bed is super comfortable. The hotel is super quiet , it was easy to get some work done. This hotel is lively I would stay here again.

Overall it was a good experience. My only complaint is that in the middle of night, the fire alarm went off and it turned out to be a false alarm. There was no apology or some sort of message to compensate for the inconvenience.

My check in experience with Yusuf was pleasant and without incident. He had a welcoming smile and was very helpful. I cannot say the same with the staff at the event center, particularly at the end of the show. They were rude and “shooed” us out while we were still taking photos inside the auditorium. In addition, we later found out that the reason the performers didn’t do an encore as requested by the audience, was because they were told that they had to end the show exactly on time, that the lights on the stage will be turned off, which was what happened. I have never heard of such an atrocity! I can understand if there was another show after. What a total disappointment. I must say the staff at the reception desk need to smile and be friendly & more welcoming to the guests. After all, they are the first people the guests encounter. Their behavior sets precedent to what the guests’ impression will be on their stay. The location of the property is also inconvenient, and not easily accessible to other establishments.

The customer service was terrible, we had to pay a resort fee, and the lazy river was closed. The only swimming pool that was open closed at 5. During the reservation, they didn't say that the lazy river was closed. We stayed for two nights, but housekeeping didn't clean our rooms at all.

Restaurants we're amazing. The room very clean. At the Casino there were more smoking areas than non smoking. I stopped coming to this casino because slots don't give you play. The bonus rounds pay $35 if that. I play $2. Not worth it.

Everyone was friendly and facility was extremely clean. I know it’s a casino, but I would love it if casino hotels would put the smoking on floors behind glass that non-smokers don’t have to walk through and get smoke smell on clothing. Also, I chose this casino mainly for the awesome pools. Only got to spend one day there because we had other commitments in the city. 9am to 5pm are ridiculous hours for an adults only hotel. After a day of walking and touring San Diego, I looked forward to a dip in the pool or a soak in the hot tub. Was sorely (pun intended) disappointed to find it all had closed. I was really bummed as I’d rather swim and soak that gamble every night.

Everything went well the only thing I had a problem was with the valet. He was rude when we asked for our vehicle.

The bed was on the hard side for my personal preference. Otherwise the room was clean and in excellent condition. All staff that I interacted with were very friendly and helpful.

Best place to relax by the pool and getaway from the hustle and bustle. Rooms are usually fantastic, but this time around they put us in a room right next to the elevator. Not the best, and the smell of cigarette drowned the room, never had that problem before. It made it difficult to sleep. Other than that, my stay was wonderful. Staff was excellent.

We did not stay at the Sycuan. When we drove up, it was a 10 or so story cement hotel with a 4-story parking garage. We were unable to figure out where to check in. The employees milling about were unsmiling and no one tried to flag us down or help us as we tried to figure things out. The whole place was not what we expected at all. My husband is disabled and not able to do a lot of walking. After driving for 8 hours from Cedar City, Utah, it was frustrating and disappointing. I called that night and cancelled and at least the person on the phone was courteous. The photos of the hotel were, in our opinion, deceptive - we saw no outdoor pool or green lawns. It was ugly.

We were lucky enough to get a 12 floor room with a balcony. It was great to have the small outdoor space, mountains are beautiful slight lazy river view. Room was excellent it had high vaulted ceilings, which gave it a roomie appearance. The staff was friendly, attentive, excellent. Room was clean comfortable. The only thing missing was a microwave.

Needs an outdoor space to just sit and hang out in the evenings for those who do not want to be inside or gamble.

Towels smelled like cigarettes, housekeeper didn't came to make out bed. Didnt receive $25 credit

The AC in room blew hot air. Reported to maintenance, they said it was fixed but it continued to blow hot. After 5 hrs I felt sick, checked out, asked for a refund or voucher for a different date, but got denied. Only offered to change rooms, if I felt good I would change rooms but my health was not good. Never coming back.

Had travel a bit for other sorts of entertainment.. I didn't like the roads leading to the property ,I thought it was easier access.. enjoy the amenities while I was there

Sycuan is my favorite for relaxing… The pool area is beautiful….i go there weekly during the summer, I do day pass or once in a awhile I book a room.. I’m going in 2 days too!❤️😂

Hotel rooms are very nice, when checking in try for a room without the facilities view. The Spa was beautiful, we had 2 facials and 2 massages and everyone came out very pleased. We had dinner at the Steakhouse and the food was fantastic along with the vibe and service. Pool area was very nice, lots of lounge chairs. Could have used more servers to reduce wait times, however the server we had was great. Only negative was the wines selection low shelf offerings at top shelf prices. Get a mixed drink instead.

Staff was very courteous. Concert was fantastic!!! Restaurant was excellent. Rooms exceeded expectations. 10/10 would stay here again!

The pool area is the best I’ve ever seen

At check in was upgraded to complementary balcony room since celebrating my birthday. Loved the free valet parking made it so easy to check in!! So many great things about staying here and it was a first time. #1) the spa was to die for absolutely loved it #2) jonathan at the pool was the best bartender so helpful and funny #3) the steakhouse was great and the service was amazing #4) housekeeping was so nice and sweet went out of her way to see if we needed anything else #5) clean clean clean, our room was cleaned great at all time the public restrooms were as well. Now some downsides #1) THE DOOR!! to get in the room was ridiculous had to swipe the room key 5-10 times everytime and had to yank the door hand hard to get in #2) the service poolside was not the best felt like we were constantly skipped over or ignored but jonathan made up for it at the actual pool bar #3) the food court style places to eat were not worth the price in my opinion. had the pizza and a breakfast sandwhich both were bleh would not order from either place again. But to finish on a good note i was there on my actual birthday and while gambling an employee came up to me with a birthday pin and wished me a happy birthday, deff made me feel special!

Property is having staffing issues in the kitchens of several restaurants. This is very unfortunate as leaving the property isnt reslly an option. We will nit return until they resolve the issues. Server named Nico in the Suerte Cantina was stellar! So friendly, respectful, and helpful. Hotel room was beautiful and clean, housekeeping was very freindly, front desk also friendly.0

We enjoyed our stay from the hotel room, bed was very comfortable and we slept like babies, Viewpoint Restuarant was delicious, we liked it so much we ate their 2 nights in a row! The service was top notch, very attentive and friendly. The lazy river was amazing, I celebrated my birthday their with friends and my boyfriend. Definitely will go back to this casino.

The help around the pool area for food / drink was not good. Lots of younger people working and not very caring about their jobs. Frank was amazing!

The rooms were large for a king size bed. The shower was room for two and very high end. Checking in and out was easy. The restaurants were close by the elevators with great food and many types of food. Also lazy river and pools. The price was very good. Tip for a day trip go Mondays $200 for a cabana and six entry’s to the lazy river and pool area 9am to 8pm.

Very nice anniversary stay at Sycuan casino and resort. The atmosphere was amazing and the hotel rooms were super clean. A bit upset that the main two restaurants were closed Monday and Tuesday, but we still enjoyed the food at the pizza place and viewpoint cafe. The pool was nice and fun. Totally recommend. Will be staying again. 😁

Great for vacation

Resort was clean. Food options limited, some restaurants closed, long waits for tables. Lot of slots, paid below average based on my experiences. Never received room service during 3 days stayed there. Had to request clean towels. Excellent valet service. Cold water provided was a nice touch. Any coolers were searched. We only carried water.

The room was very clean and very spacious! Me and my friends loved it and we plan on coming back. The bar at the pool was so much fun. We just wish the pool would stay open longer. But other than that the food and drinks and everything else was amazing

When we first got there the valet it was rude to us saying that we couldn’t park here and started arguing with me then somebody said we could then when I went to check in and then the lady at the check-in said I was wearing the wrong hat there so she said F my team I told her raider nation all day

This was my first time going, exited for months. I dont gamble, i love the pool and is why i rented amd for my friend bday to spend by the pool, but they, without notice, closed the pool at 2pm, when we arrived at 11:00am. We had all day that day with nothing to do, an had to leave the next day.

I brought the matter to management, expecting at least a basic level of accountability or customer service. Instead, I was dismissed. They offered no assistance, no resolution, and no gesture of goodwill not even a willingness to discuss the situation beyond a cold “nothing we can do.” For a resort of this size, I expected far better. Accidents and incidents can happen, but how a business responds matters. Sadly, Syucan made it clear that once you’ve checked in, you’re on your own. I won’t be returning, and I urge others to think twice before booking here.

This was a very nice clean casino, but it only gets three stars because my husband and I went for a relaxing time at a pool but we found out it’s actually a party pool with an extremely loud DJ. No servers or staff asked if we needed anything we had to go to the bar ourselves. The staff only served the cabanas. I’ve been to many hotels, small and big where the staff attends to the people that are willing to spend money. I do have to say the front desk young woman when I checked in was very nice but the one when I was checking out, mediocre.
