Older motel, but upgrades like newer tile in bathroom. Clean and simple. No frills, but super clean with needed amenities. Last 2 rooms we stayed in had no mini fridge or microwave. This room had both of those, hair dryer, coffee pot and “real” shampoo and conditioner.

This was an inexpensive place to stay while passing through Elko. Check in was super fast and the lady was nice. Bed was comfortable. Shower was hot. Heater worked. Car was safe in their parking lot. Breakfast was a very simple cold breakfast with cereal, yogurt, and fruit. More than I would've expected for the room rate. Also there was a laundromat a block away which worked perfect for having been car camping the last week. Definitely would stay again when in Elko.

We arrived after MN, but we notified them ahead of time and they accommodated us. Good location, comfy beds, fluffy towels, mini frig, table and TWO chairs. Parking was very tight, hair dryer and bathroom fan not working.

I appreciated that they had a variety of pillows on the bed: thicker, thinner, and memory foam. Room was clean. Could hear upstairs neighbor walking really loudly, but not a huge deal. My issue is with the staff. Checkout is at 11. I was on an important work call when at 9 or 9:30, there was loud banging on the door. I had to apologize to my boss and step away to get the door. I opened it to see the front desk attendant who said he thought I was gone since he didn’t see my car in the parking lot. There were only 6 cars, so if he didn’t see it then he didn’t look. He finally left and I was able to finish my meeting. I hopped in the shower afterwards, and as I was getting out around 10:30 I heard insistent/loud knocking on the door again. I wrapped a towel around myself and before I could do anything else I saw the front door start opening. I yelled out “Do I have until 11 or not!?” and the door was then quickly closed. I have no idea why I would start being harassed to leave two hours before checkout time, and to have someone barging in my room when I’m in a towel is incredibly unnerving and completely unacceptable. Otherwise this is a great budget option, but I will never come back due to the incompetence/complete lack of common sense and courtesy of the staff.

Everything was excellent especially the staff! I stay at a lot of hotels and this by far was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. 10 stars to the gal working the night shift.

Affordable, clean room, comfortable bed, friendly accommodating staff.

This has been a favorite stop in the past but suffers under new management. Plumbing problems and a broken hair dryer were disappointing. It’s still a decent place to stay but bring your own toiletries and hopefully they’ll fix the toilets that run all the time. Breakfast is minimal but the beds are comfortable and the place is clean with a refrigerator, microwave and a table and chairs. TV and Internet are good.

It's a motel style but conditions are pretty good. There are microwave, refrigerator, complimentary breakfast. Of course, the breakfast is very small. But you got fresh milk and fresh fruits!

Clean The area was SOOOO noisy. Cars reving their engines, screeching tires, must have been a Friday nite cruise on Main. Didn’t stop until well into the morning. Didn’t bother with “breakfast”. Cold cereal and bananas .

Esquire is a basic, very well maintained, hotel. You get a big bang for the buck. The room was very clean and inviting, with nice decorative touches. A lot of attention was paid to colors, and there was interesting artwork. The room looked newly painted and the bathroom was upgraded with tiled floors and walls. The fridge and microwave were a bonus, as well as a sofa to relax in. There was a little table to to at. The TV worked well. The bed was very comfortable with many pillows for relaxing. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel.

Magnificent hotel everything was clean, tidy, organized. the lady that helped me check in super kind. I didn’t catch her name but 11 out of 10 service and 11 out of 10 hotel.

Modest, clean and great location for a quick overnight stay. It’s perfect for my needs. Nothing fancy but very reliably clean and comfortable. No hot breakfast if that’s important to you but nice little selection of yogurts cereal, protein bars.

Staff at front desk were nice and gave us some dinner recommendations. I like to rate hotels by ways to charge your phone by the bed - they had upgraded outlets w/ USB and plug-ins on the nightstand and the desk. I think that is a simple/easy thing for places to add and they had thought of it! Really not much - was what I expected and probably better.

Traffic noise was disturbing

I stayed a weekend here. Place and staff were great. Small parking lot. Do not recommend for anybody pulling a trailer. Very safe and close to everything. I will definitely stay here again.

The room was fine. It was the city folk that made it a miserable night’s sleep. People driving by were revving their engines loudly like they were purposely making excessive noise just as they passed the motel. Do they have something against this property, or are they doing this all over town? This went on until 3AM and started again by 7AM.

We had the pleasure of staying at Esquire Inn both on our way to our destination and on our return, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Traveling as a family of four, comfort, cleanliness, and convenience are priorities for us, and Esquire Inn delivered on all fronts. From the moment we checked in, the owner/staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The rooms were clean and thoughtfully arranged. The beds were very comfortable, which was a big plus after long hours on the road, and the amenities made things easy with kids in tow. Highly recommended for families or anyone passing through looking for a peaceful, pleasant night’s rest. We’ll definitely stay here again if we’re in the area. N/A

Breakfast poor - not much selection and had to take back to room - no place to sit. Room was clean, but musty smelling. It is an old motel. The location is very poor. It is right next to a traffic light and apparently on the local drag strip! It was VERY noisy, with cars racing to the stop light and then racing away from it. Cars were very loud (assuming younger crowd)!

The location was great. It was very close to the pastie location and very walkable! The owner was very nice. We arrived there early and found a nice parking spot. For the money paid it was great!?

The staff was very nice and friendly

This Inn is a hidden gem. The staff were amazing. They called me to set up a late check-in and even moved me to the ground floor when I requested it. Housekeeping did a great job and tailored my request to my schedule, since I stayed here for a week. Breakfast was not all that elaborate, but it was nice and helped me get something in my stomach after traveling over 10 hours on the road. I highly recommend this Inn and will stay here again in the future.

Staff was friendly and everything was very clean. The road noise is pretty bad because of the location being right at a stoplight. Even with white noise playing on my phone to try to cover it, the road noise kept me awake half the night.

The staff is great, the location is "central", the rooms are clean and the water is hot. a great price and exactly what i wanted.

Just needed a place to stay before catching an early flight the next morning. Convenient to the airport. Person that checked us in was very friendly and efficient. Older facility, but seemed to be clean and everything in working order in our room. Parking is pretty tight and a fair amount of traffic noise--I guess from the freeway.

The building is old but was nicely remodel and clean. The main negative was the breakfast which consisted of 1 only 4 oz activa, one small bowl of dry cereal or instead oatmeal and one mini muffin. Motel would be 100% better off not advertising free breakfast.

The hotel itself was an absolute gem though. Fun themed rooms with character, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was an issue with the ceiling fan in my room not turning off and one of the staff came and fixed right away. The bed was comfy and the towels were clean, and the bathroom had a tub/shower combo as well as a window! The morning brekkie was a basic travelers fare with carbs, caffeine and bananas, and the clerk was well informed about local spots for food and shopping. I would definitely consider staying here again, especially for the price, but will be sure to bring ear plugs next time.

Great little property. Driving through on I-80. Called re: late arrival. No problem. Pleasant man on phone. Pleasant woman at checkin. Very cute, clean, comfortable. Seems to be in walkable downtown area with nearby restaurants, but I’ll be getting back on the road early. If you are looking for the basics, this is a great value! Great find!

Charming little room and the owner was very nice.

The smell from the cleaning products for the room was so eye-watering-ly strong I couldn't stay in the room more than an hour. Esquire wouldn't refund the stay, but it was worth it to me to just book a room at another motel up the street - much better! If you don't mind loud traffic, volatile cleansers, and tight parking, this place might be okay for you.

I liked everything about my room for the price - good value. The bed was a little too firm for me but others might want that.

The room and property were tastefully decorated and spotless. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The location is great for walking around downtown and restaurant selections are wide. The breakfast was simple but covered all the bases. The Esquire is an economical gem!

We love this simple motel in Elko, and have been staying there for years. Always super clean, the owners are constantly making welcome upgrades. The rooms are small but with EVERYTHING you need, and the price is outstanding. We never stay anywhere else in Elko. Steps to Cowboy Joe, a great coffeehouse, espresso bar. Walkable to all the restaurants.

First, upon checking in, they didn’t have the room that I booked. No room with king size bed! Beds were doubles! Traffic noise was herendous! Cars screaming up and down streets all night! Loud noise from auto bass for several hours! How in the hell this place had a 9 rating is unbelievable! Don’t trust Expedia ratings!

The owners care about how your stay is and offer to help it be a nice visit. The room was kept very clean. It's an older place but you can see the owners updated it. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is nice which are the two most important things to me. I know people may have trouble with the cars noise from a fairly busy intersection. With my hearing aids out, I couldn't hear a thing! I will stay here again for upcoming work.

I checked in for one night while traveling through. Quick check in, and a sufficient and clean room. The brand names were double the price. The bed was comfortable, the bath was sufficient, and dinner and a coffee shop were easily walkable. Very worth the money for one night.

A quick overnight stay. Room was adequate and owner was friendly. The main complaint we have is very noisy streets from 6:30 Am - 11:00 PM. It does quiet down after that.

We've stayed in Elko quite a few times of late, and had never found a place that we were happy with. I['m sure we've now found our go-to place in Elko. Value, convenience, and a clean room. That's what you're getting here. It's clean, it's relatively quiet, your car's right outside. Some complained they could hear traffic and people outside, but that's the nature of a motel. Stay at a hotel if you want silence. It's nothing that will keep most people awake. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

My wife and I really like the Esquire Inn as a well priced, clean and comfortable lodging when we drive across Nevada to visit family in Utah. The beds are very comfortable which is unusual in many motels we have tried elsewhere.

This was a nice place to stay and the staff was friendly and attentive. The room had everything I needed, was centrally located, and I could park right next to my room. As others have mentioned, the good people of Elko have an infatuation with loud mufflers or perhaps their is a rule prohibiting catalytic converters. Clearly, the police are not enforcing noise ordinances, assuming there are any. I have never heard anything like it, but I carry earplugs so no big deal. I would definitely stay here again.

The positives: clean, well-maintained, inexpensive, in-town location walkable to main destinations in central Elko. The main negative is, being on the Business Loop of I-80, traffic is audible at all hours. Earplugs recommended. Also, the bath soap is remarkably unsudsy. I would bring my own.
