Turf Valley Resort

This was a well kept resort. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We loved our room location and layout. Top notch restaurant and quality hotel. We also enjoyed the meals and view of the golf course. We definitely will come back again. Thank you.

Robert was excellent when we checked in. He got us in our room early. He is always so helpful & friendly. We stay at Turf Valley 10-13 times a year we love it!!!!! Beautiful facility!!!!

I always love to stay at Turf Valley! What I love is that there are so many common spaces to hang with friends beyond your room. The restaurant food is yummy and the bar drinks are good as well. The outdoor pool features food delivery to your chair beside the pool. The indoor pool has a hot tub.

I believe you need to update the paint around doors and walls. New carpets or flooring.

Nice place parking kinda sucks feels like going to a packed shopping center. AC was kinda loud. Only had couple instances of loud people making noise but overall nice place.

The cleaning staff was not the greatest they even missed a day, despite us making sure when we departed the room, they understood we needed a quick clean. We had to request the front desk bring towels, coffee and clean mugs. A 6 day stay and we had to ask everyday for coffee pods ( last day they left none and one day they left only tea) Also, we had to request TP and tissue (didn’t replace empties). This is not the service expected at the resort. The staff was otherwise friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the large executive king room. I am handicapped and the room was good for my walker despite not being specifically designed for handicapped persons. The cleaning staff was friendly, but their attention to detail was less than is expected at the resort or anywhere. Constantly having to request service gets old fast.

Beautiful property. Nice for a quiet getaway, golf retreat, or traveling in the area for business. Ellicott City is nearby. The surrounding area is safe and friendly with a few good restaurants. We wanted to try the spa for a couples massage but they were booked up. The spa had a nice selection of treatments and services. Bar with live music was nice. Nice breakfast.

Expedia listed the check out time as 4:00 PM , but the hotel indicated that it was 11:00 AM , so I paid for extended checkout. Otherwise my experience at the hotel was very nice and comfortable!

Very clean, and all of the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The less than stellar review of for the usual things that make a stay unpleasant… Walls to thin and uninsulated from sound, I could literally hear one of my neighbors stirring something in a cup or glass, beyond being able to hear every word spoken, even at a normal conversational level… And the usual cleaning staff knocking on the door and waking me up an hour and a half before check-out time, then again an hour before check-out time. These two items alone ruin any stay.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool area was very nice as well. The area has some good places to eat if you have a car, or a way to get around. I would recommend to others. I enjoyed my stay. There was a slight musty smell in the hallway.

My suite was large and comfortable. The television in the suite should be larger. Either an additional tv or a larger tv. It’s hard to enjoy tv because the room is so large and the tv is small.

the executive suites are fantastic! Very large and spacious!! Bed was comfortable. Shower head pressure not the greatest but every other amenity was perfect. The Spa is the best!!! Food options are very tasty & plentiful at Alexandria's. Customer service was good throughout the hotel but the early morning staff who work the front desk should do better at greeting customers.

The hotel is beautiful and clean! My Suite had a kitchenette, pull-out sofa, King bed and balcony. The TV had many channels and streaming services to log-into. The bathroom had double sinks, a large shower with a bench and toilet in a separate room. Would definitely stay again!

Yes! To everything. We arrived early. So as not to end up in a room without a roll in shower. Which we requested. They told us to wait. And we did and ended up in a cramped room with a slippery tub. That my husband almost slipped and fell in. Thank goodness it wasn’t me. Or I probably would have fell. Anyway. The staff acted as though they were going to take care of us. But they didn’t care for our requested needs. And gave us what seemed to be the last available room possible. I have pictures. If that helps.

The only meat option was bacon (not sure if it was requested that way or if it was the hotel's choice). Many of my colleagues did not consume pork. The room was clean but had the smell of cigarettes when walking in. The shower handle seemed stripped. (A courteous, tall gentleman came and fixed it expeditiously). As i went to turn the bed down there was a stink bug on my pillow... :( Other than that my stay was pleasant.

The only complaint is we had a wedding party and weren’t informed no breakfast would be served until 9 am brunch. We had a long drive and went down around 8 and were basically turned away

GREAT SPA EXPERIENCE (BOOK EARLY!), GOOD VEG APPETIZERS, NICE OUTDOOR POOL (INDOOR POOL AND HOTTUB WERE CLOSED), NICE ROOM - DATED AND SMALL BUT SUFFICIENT FOR THE PURPOSE (IE NOT SPENDING MUCH TIME IN THE ROOM). ALL THE FOOD WE HAD AT THE RESTAURANT WAS GOOD - BETTER THAN EXPECTED BUFFET BREAKFAST OPTION WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE, MORE STAFF IN THE RESTAURANT NEEDED

Facilities were great and very clean I thought the room came with breakfast but that wasn’t the case. We had to pay extra for breakfast.

We enjoyed this hotel, The staff was friendly and accommodating, the restaurant food was great, the pool was totally awesome and so very clean. They had an onsite spa that was also the best! I would stay here again. The only thing I didn’t like is the photos shown on the Expedia site that the room we had had a balcony but it was not that room. Call and verify next time. This is a great time if you want peace and quiet or family time

The room air conditioning was very loud and when the fan would shut off, it would make a very loud noise. Very difficult to sleep with the noise.

Anniversary weekend trip. Our room was spacious, we enjoyed golf and relaxing by the pool. Food from the restaurant was great.

Well kept. Beautifully landscaped. Great amenities for family friendly activities. Customer service was on full display. The staff at all levels were great!

We liked the location. The resort grounds were beautifully maintained. In the room, the bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. In both rooms rented, sleep quality was very low due to the air conditioning unit making loud noises when the fan cycled on and off. Switching the fan setting from auto to always on helped reduce this problem, but did not completely resolve it. Also, while in the room, noise from the hallways and other rooms could be easily heard.

This property is very quiet and has its own golf course. Nice environment.

Room size is generous, the bed and pillows are very comfortable. Bartenders are great. It would be nice if you had happy hour discount pricing. the shower water temperature is not hot enough. when i was there memorial day and 4th of july weekends in 2 different rooms, the shower temp was maxed out at too low a temperature. The shower heads are not adjustable and it would be nice if they were. Please install multiple hooks in the bathroom; the single hook on the back of the bathroom door is not enough for 2 guests' bathing suits and multiple bath towels, which I'm sure you prefer not be hung over the balcony railing. Cellular service is weak to non-existent. WiFi is OK but not as strong as I'd like.

We have stayed before and found that it is an excellent resort.

We weren't here long enough to take advantage of everything they have to offer but we'll definitely be back.

Very quiet environment, very good as a get away from the daily hustling and bustling of life. The food too is amazing and the staff are very courteous.

Room was spacious. Sheets were soft. Bed was comfortable. Kitchenette was nice but nowhere for two people it sit and enjoy coffee or room service together. Patio is nice in idea but same thing, room had two “patios” but unable to sit and enjoy because no chairs. Pool side is very noisy, would request room on other side next time! Shower was very large but lighting inside was too dim to shave. Towels and washcloths were very nice though. Ordered room service which took 2 hours to receive correct order. Upon check in was greeted by nice but very difficult to understand woman. I sincerely have no idea what she said to me. Plenty of well lit parking.

Rel checked us in late Saturday. When I say the customer service was impeccable. This was a an amazing experience from check in to the spa and dinning experience. The staff was so accommodating. I really enjoyed my stay here and I plan to return in the near future.

Room was dark and drab. Felt like I was transported to 1998. Broken drapes in room. Room was small. Just meh.

Wonderful except the piece under the counter in the wheelchair accessible bathroom prevents a wheelchair from getting close enough to the sink for the wheelchair bound person to use the sink for toothbrushing for example. I had to take turns handing him a cup with water and another to spit in,

The hotel stay and service was average. The bed was uncomfortable with a cheap mattress and small couch pillows. Turf Valley should provide at least an average mattress and regular size pillows.

Bad customer service after first night didn’t clean the room no fresh towels garbage basket still full I called front desk left the room house keeping came only change towels and empty garbage still didn’t clean any thing and left my room door open when I came back to the hotel at night my room door was open I called front desk security came not very helpful they told me I booked with Expedia so they can’t give me any refund manager was not there even on Sunday morning supervisor have no authority don’t recommend any one to stay at this resort

I have heard a lot about this property over the years but it appears it really needs to be updated. The faucet handles in the bathroom were really hard to move and the phone and furniture look dated. My biggest disappointment was the fact that I had a phone cord with a USB and there was nowhere in the room that I could charge my phone overnight. So! I woke up to a dead phone since I didn't have a regular power cord.

Can't belive breakfast is not inclusive. First time to experience this in a hotel.

I’ve always considered Turf Valley a premier resort. When I arrived I was hungry and the kitchen was closing. The staff in the restaurant were very eager to meet any of my needs. Exceptional service from the restaurant staff. However not so much at the front desk. I needed to iron a new pair of my Tommy Bahama shorts and the iron in the room had a sticky substance on it and ruined my shorts. The front desk was not willing to do ANYTHING AT ALL FOR ME. I would have been happy with a $1 coupon for the restaurant but she refused even the simplest sympathy. I will never stay at Turf Valley again.

Turf Valley is a serene getaway and convenient to activities in Ellicott City and Baltimore. We enjoyed waking up to the birds and the resort is back off any major road which is nice. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Every staff member was very helpful and went above and beyond during our stay. Parking is in an open lot and plenty. We enjoyed the spa and appreciate the indoor and outdoor pool. Alexandra’s is also a great restaurant as well as dining by Turf Valley shopping center with Grill 620 and Facci’s. We will definitely be back for a longer stay in the future.

The gentleman who checked us in Chris was excellent. It was my birthday. He gave us Complementary drinks and Breakfast coupons. We stay at Turf Valley a few times a year. We live in Delaware and have family in Elliott City. My granddaughter had a dance recital. We love Turf Valley.
