Counter clerk did not let my partner in, because he was on the hotel listing. Never heard of that. My boss had to get another room for my partner. Very dissaponted. Clean hotel, ammenities are great, Clerks need to stereo type and ask personal questions!

Avoid this place at all cost and find somewhere better. Rooms are very dirty, staff is not helpful and they do not keep good amenities in the room. My wife had some red spots on her feet the next morning and said she felt itching and what felt like biting during the night. She couldn't see anything but immediately got in the shower and cleaned her body and feet off. She said she stripped the bed down and couldn't see anything but she has very clear red whelps on her left foot that have been itching nonstop. She went to the front desk to get help about something and he didn't even understand hardly what she was saying which doesn't help anything either. Just all around a very dirty place. This is usually where my employees stay when they go down to San Antonio for work and it will be removed from our list as well. You can find a better cleaner place where they actually understand you.

Breakfast was good and lady said good morning to everyone. We forgot a medicine in room and they called us to let us know. We went back to pick it up, that was so thoughtful, it was my husband’s glucose monitor which is important and expensive.

Thank you for the service; the staff was very attentive and friendly. The only downside was that the room smelled terrible—strongly of dampness—and the bathroom smelled quite a bit like sewage, so we spent the entire night surrounded by very strong odors.

Everything was excellent

Front desk during the night shift was very helpful and kind! The breakfast was decent and had hot eggs, waffles, and the other basics you'd find in most hotels. Room was well maintained and cleaned and my favorite part.. LOVED the body soap in the bathroom!

We had a great stay. Staff was very friendly and very welcoming. From the front desk staff, kitchen and cleanings ladies . Everyone was so nice and friendly. Hotel, room, everything was so clean. We do recommend this place.

The rooms were okay only issue was it did not have enough good lights, room was dark .. Also the walls are very thin .. The bathroom smelled very bad, & the toilet had a bad smell as well ... The breakfast was not my favorite & my daughter hated it unfortunately.... There was only sausage , egg , waffles , toast , bagel .. & only 2 type of cereals .. I traveled w children so was hoping to have at least froot loops etc & just more variety to choose.. Overall I do not think I would stay here again ....

Some of the appliances were broken and unusable. I'm glad they were able to find a room because one of the rooms I booked did not get booked. Booking.com is probably not a good platform for booking the hotel.

The hot breakfast was fresh, tasty and different each day. The staff were all friendly and attentive. The room was clean. Will definitely stay here again when in town.

The rooms were decent and spacious. Comes with a fridge and microwave ,dryer, Ironing board, they do have a washer and dryer. There free breakfast in the morning good selections to choose from , free wifi . Staff was very friendly and attentive. There are a couple of food places you can go to eat that are very close. You can probably walk to them if you wanted to. Saw some deers and an armadillo at night.

No record of my booking.com reservation until the guy logs into booking.com and finds it and tells me there is no kings room and now I am being told I need to fix the problem by calling. I normally don’t complain, the room was fine, I was in Elmendorf tx because my sister only had a few days to live, we were staying up late to be with her, the house keeping staff kept coming into the room at the door asking if we were ready, I told them at 11:00 but it kept happening. Carpet has bad old smell and only had cold feet r warm water only with below freezing temperatures outdoor and asked for a hot shower so I can get ready for work early in the morning and didn’t hear back from them until like 3 hours after I was at work and had too shower with cold water with 20 degree wheather outdoor

This was our second time staying at this hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was super with many choices. Desiree is very efficient with keeping the area clean and always stocked throughout the time. The owners are very friendly and accomodating to our needs. Also the cleaning staff are very friendly and also very accomodating when you ask for anything. Even though the property is a little hard to get to especially at night because of the semi trucks that park along the route to the hotel the grounds are well taken care of clean. The best part is the wildlife that can be seen both day and night. At any time of the day it is not unusual to see deer or bucks feeding by the side of the road or at the back of the property. Even pheasants can be seen at times. We would highly recommend this property. They are in the process of renovating rooms as well and those rooms are really nice. We love how they recognize us each time we are there!!! We will be back!!!

The 16 night to the 17 morning i drove my truck and the Saturday mor was i woke up with my rear window was break, they stol my tool box, i ask the lady in the front if i cen get the video she told me to wait for the manager i was there waiting for 30 min no manager show up, after that i never got to see the video or nothing they claen rial quick the parking lot, i had to spen $290 for a rear window, the manager or the front desk lady no one reach out to me for information about my truck or what room i was in it, i will not recommend to stay there

Lilliana with housekeeping was great. We were there for an extended stay and she continuously checked in on us for any necessities.

The staff were all super friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was hot and tasted great, plenty of options to choose from. The room was nice and tidy, clean and in order. The iron in the room I got did not work, other than that all went well.

There was not much that I liked at all. I had received a handicap room, so it was a bit more spacious I suppose, but that was the only positive thing abut this property. I could write a lot, but generally, the facilities were disgusting. My room did not have fresh sheets, it is as if they just kept the used sheets! They also stated they had no towels and just could not accommodate a new room because my reservation had two beds, but was a handicap room, so they could only give us another handicap room, which they did not have available. They finally stated that they would give me new sheets, but I would have to change it myself. They brought me two fitted sheets that were for a full sized bed, when I had a queen size bed. That was all they brought, with no new comforter or anything else. There is so much more to say, but overall, a terrible experience.

Breakfast is missing several items. The hotel is not very clean. They claim the beds are queen-size, but they are not and are not very comfortable. The towels were very old. The bathroom has mold and was not very clean.

It is a very good place to stay. We are in a handicap room on the third floor. The bathroom is large but to get into the shower, you have to step over the side of a bathtub. The bathtub has a retractable seat & adequate hand bars. It is not as handicap friendly as it could be but it is doable using caution.

I left the first night that we stay there. It wasn't safe. Two cars were stole that night. I asked for a refounf and hotel management didn't want to give me my money back and expedia couldn't do anything. Horrible experience with both of them.

We stayed for 7 nights. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly, professional and accomodating. It was a good location for us to visit with family who lived 7 minutes from the hotel. The breakfast had some hot choices but were mostly the same every day.

The tv/remote wasn’t working, tried to call the office, the phone didn’t work either. Went downstairs, only one person on duty with a lot of people checking in, so I waited to tell him my problem, to which he said he would try to come up and look at it. To his credit, he showed up, unfortunately by then we were sleeping. Breakfast was a bit crowded, not a lot to choose from. They close the dining at 9:00 am, and they make sure you know that they are closing. The access road is usually filled with 18 Wheelers parked every which way, you won’t see that in their brochure. The service people are very helpful, it was the lack of service people that was concerning.

The staff at the front desk was a great help when we had a couple problems checking in.

I showed up 39 minutes before check-in started. Was told I couldn’t check in without paying an extra $30. This is after I had already upgraded to the most expensive suite they offer. The room was ready, so it wasn’t a matter of them not being able to check me in. They just wouldn’t without me paying them extra money. I refused, 10 minutes of sitting in the lobby and then I could magically check in without paying the $30 Also, the wi-fi is terrible, very slow. Speeds are - 6 Mbps down/1 Mbps up I’ve never stayed at a place that sells you a room with a blocked window. But wait, there’s more! The coffee machine still had dirty grounds left in it. I guess they don’t clean the rooms between guests. Also, let’s not forget the elevator, there’s only one and you’ll spend minutes waiting for it every time you use it.

I reserved the room with my Discover card; they said I hadn't paid yet and had only made a reservation with a different card. Took a few minutes to get it figured out. The room is poorly lit and the floors are sticky. We have stayed here previously, and it was a much better experience.

The room had goad heads in multiple locations meaning the carpet was not vacuumed. The fridge had 1 leg missing, when you open the door the fridge would fall out of the cabinet it was housed in. Avoid staying in room 210. We believed the family of ownership was living upstairs. We had to call multiple times because of noise. We believe there was a kid upstairs who was running back and forth. Around 11pm we called and asked the front desk to help communicate they were being loud. The front desk seemed to know exactly what we were talking about assuring it would stop. 30 minutes later we had to call again because it didn't stop. We were hoping the guest checked out so we could sleep better the next day, but it was the same. The kid was up at 5:30am running back and forth.

Surrounding area- the place is clean, but outside the area is dirty due to truckers leaving trash and used motor oil after servicing their trucks. Other than that place is nice. Dont let the outside the Property keep you from staying here. Its also very quiet. Thats a plus. Noise is minimal. Thank you Best Western.

Before leaving, I attempted to take a shower, only to discover that the hot water wasn’t working. At that point, I decided to book another hotel. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

The TV remote batteries were dead. A small dirty towel was left on the shower bar. Shower doesn't work properly. 50% comes out of the shower head, the rest comes out from the faucet. We have stayed here every year on the way to the Rio Grande Valley. Have not experienced so many problems before. The breakfast was good though.

Attended at check in was not very friendly, hardly spoke. Hotel lobby and hallway smelled bad, the room smelled bad. Check out was the same. No very friendly at all. Will not be staying at this hotel again.

Breakfast was great! The only real issue we had was when I went to turn the shower on the handle fell off. I believe the smell was just all the humidity in the air.

Horrible experience of my life .. the bedding material was filthy specially the comforters, see the pics attached. Sent an email to the property manager as front desk asked us but no response from her. Finally we asked front desk that we want to talk to her during our check out and she make us to wait for at least 10 min and finally showed up. And then told us that oh these are downy comforters and it’s weather that shows colors like this and I use the same at my home too. OMG.. horrible explanation . No courtesy at all.. Stay away from this filthy place if you feel hygiene is a priority..

We were forced to rent a second room because the staff refused to work with us and allow me in before the rest of my party arrived. The weather was horrible with flooding roads and they had no compassion. I will never stay here again the front desk and manager were deplorable, ungracious, and not helpful for two single ladies traveling in a storm.

The parking is awful and one night the manager actually came running out telling us to park in a different spot. The next night our truck had the back window busted out and I saw a couple of other places in the parking lot with auto glass on the ground.

I booked this hotel based on the pictures on the website but upon arrival I felt so unsure of how our night would go. The place is a bit hidden from everything. If I could I would’ve canceled but I had already paid. It wasn’t unsafe at all. Night went by smoothly.

Only negative I can say is that in the fitness room the All one gym machine was broken with cables poking out everywhere.

My room smelled like mold. There was a mouse in room 206. There was hair everywhere. I would not stay here again.

There are holes and stains on the walls. The breakfast was acceptable but the room itself is below average. I should’ve expanded by budget and stayed somewhere else if I knew the room would look like that.

As soon as we walked in the front lobby had a horrible smell. I thought to myself it’s probably just me give it a chance. Walked into my room bed skirt had stains all over. Took a shower and on the tub walls there were shaving stub hairs. Over all it was a very unpleasant experience. I’m sorry but I will not stop there in the future.

The bed frame had sharp hooks that protruded from the sides and scratched our shins and the mattress wobbled because it didn’t fit the frame properly. The bathroom was adequately clean. All that said, we will not be back.

Mid at best. Last minute booking for an extended night in San Antonio. No good breakfast. Receptionist wasn’t nice or informative at all during check in or out. Fire alarm went off super early in the morning and staff gave NO explanation on safety, reasoning, information or if it was even safe to return back to our rooms. Guests were even waiting at front desk after for questioning and all staff had was a sign that said “away for a while call this number” called number . No answer. Questioned the cleanliness of our hotel room. Hotel smelled musty and hot . Only good thing we liked was our hotel room AC ( room only). Depending on your type of stay, if it’s a nice family trip with kids and enjoy comfortable/ eco friendly stay this is not the place to stay. Rather spend a couple extra bucks else where.

The shower handle was broken in the shower and unable to use. No other solution was offered to mend the situation.

The hotel is near a sewer plant so every time the wind blows, you smell a disgusting smell. The hotel over booked for the night we stayed and had booked a family into my room at midnight were me and my 9 month old baby were in bed already. When going downstairs to express how unprofessional this was, the lady then stated it was a computer issue. This is also an issue considering we have to give our personal information such and drivers licenses , credit card information and things as such. When asking to speak to a manger for a refund just for the one night of two that I booked I did not hear anything back from them. And still have not till this day. It has been a week!

The staff was wonderful but that was the only positive. This area (apparently the town) smells like horse manure! The locals said it’s normal - I almost got sick from it! The best was wildly uncomfortable. The pillows were so flat it felt like I was sleeping on the floor! The water for the shower felt so slimy. It honestly made me feel like I wasn’t getting cleaned. There also was limited dining options. You have to go into San Antonio for multiple options which is 20 minutes away. Breakfast was nasty; the biscuits were undercooked. The options were so disgusting. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless it’s your last option.

Very clean and ladies serving the breakfast very attentive, only had a bad experience with management in front desk when arrived lady was very rude and the manager needs to know how to talk to customers nicely not in a demanding and insulting way.

The gas sewage smell that lingered on the second floor was disgusting. I would not recommend this hotel until this gets fixed.

The pictures are ok. The building is in a rough area, in rough shape. I was disappointed thinking I found a good deal. The tub taps didn’t work, carpet was torn, walls scuffed and I wasn’t convinced the room was clean.

This was the second time we have stayed at this hotel. It works well for us when attending events at the Frost Center. Easy in/out. Staff is pleasant and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good with plenty of variety.

someone attempted to enter my room 3 times. Last time, they gained enter. The safety door stop and myself stopped the intruder. I called police, which front desk turned them away. Front desk did not notify our room, that they mistakenly gave access to our room. Hotel staff was mad that I called police. I felt this was a unsafe hotel, so we informed them we would be leaving and asked for refund of the balance of the nights I paid for, they refused. We left that unsafe hotel.

The front desk “phone lady” was more attentive to whoever was on her “important call” than us. Asked if she had a 1st floor; she didn’t even check - just automatically said No. Stayed multiple days - locked out twice (electronic key didn’t work) had to come down from 3rd floor to resolve. Hotel had incident with their water; lost pressure and no hot water. There were NO wash clothes in room (maybe hotel should purchase a better supply). Received after they were able to complete a wash cycle. The area around hotel was a roadside dumping ground and road leading into hotel was horrible!

Stay was fine. First room I was given had not been cleaned so had to get another one. Bed was not comfortable.

My reservation was given to another customer and I was sent away in the middle of the night with no hotel room and no refund.

Room was good. AC worked great. only complaint is the bathroom smells like a sewer. it’s unclear where exactly the smell is coming from, but it was very strong.

check in was an absolute nightmare... hotels.com and this property do not have clear communication and neither party will budge to help the customer. I made a reservation and had to change the date. I had to pay double because of the property's rules so i paid fully again! Upon check in the property could not find the new date reservation and neither party was able to clear up the problem. Again, this was a nightmare.

Road to hotel is blocked at times with truckers, and road is badly damaged with pot holes. Room was not properly cleaned. Remotes and walls had sticky substances. Ac is broken and room gets overly humid to the point that the sheets are wet and smell of old moister. Please avoid.

Easy check-in, however I arrived late near midnight and was a little off-put when the clerk said they “needed to check the room to make sure it was clean”. After a 12 hour travel day my goal is only to make it safely to a hotel that offers only clean rooms. She was pleasant enough, checked quickly and it was fine. Rooms could use some modern updating but was overall comfortable. Someone left a towel outside their room across from mine and when I went up to enter my room for the first time I was surprised that the clerk hadn’t removed that towel, and when I checked out the next morning that towel was still there. Breakfast was good-typical fare of eggs, sausage, bagels, waffles.
