The room was spacious. The pullout couch was not the best. All I heard all night were people stomping around in the room above us. We only stayed one night and I dont think I would want to stay longer. The hotel was "ok" and served our need for the time we were in town for a show.
- 5/5
property very clean, close to shops, restaurants.

I accidentally double booked a room. Rather then the desk clerk notifying me of 2 bookings in my name for the same date, he said nothing.
- 5/5
We were pleasantly suprised at the large and roomy size of our 2 bedroom/two bath suite. The suite included a kitchen, dining area and living area, including a gas fireplace. The beds were clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were well equipped. Parking was good. Staff were courteous and helpful. If we are visiting family in the area we will stay there again.

Some, (not all), of the Spanish speaking workers are extremely rude and biased to certain guests. The on-site manager (Ahmed) seemed oblivious on how to handle their lack of professionalism and was inefficient at customer service. When we greeted one male worker and said “Good Morning “, he couldn’t be bothered to smile or utter “Good Morning” or even “Buenos Dias”. The failure of this man to be courteous to guests was followed up with poor treatment by another Spanish speaking worker, Noura. She proceeded to speak condescendingly about certain guests when she believed they didn’t understand Spanish. The lack of customer service and tendency to blame guests when their services fell short of what was advertised. The lack of leadership and accountability by management to understand how the mistreatment of certain guests may be a bigger issue and a violation of several laws. Management seemed oblivious.

This was ideal for my family because I needed to have a kitchen to make my son food since it's hard to go out to eat the Celiac disease. Everything was great and the only complaint I had is that our coffee pot didn't work and I called a couple of times and nobody came to replace it. My son also didn't care for the pull out couch but the bed was great!

My husband and I stayed here on a drive home. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet and well maintained everything is. The hotel has great close access to highway but feels quiet and tucked away. The flowers and landscaping are very well maintained and the rooms are very clean. I would highly recommend.

Recommended hotel! Nice rooms and facility with fresh and hot breakfast. It's an older facility that largely caters to extended stay needs. But the units are large and I have stayed there twice. Will return again.

The Hotel needs updating. I have stayed here multiple times in the last two years. The elevator is gross. The laundry room in A building had only one working washer and you need coins to operate (suggest upgrade to cc's). Walls and carpet throughout need to be replaced. Cleanliness is "ok" not great. My toilet backed up for no apparent reason and when I called the front desk I was told no one on premises to address but that I could come down and get a plunger:) which I did and addressed it myself. I will say there was one employee who worked the evening on May 16th to had to come to my room to fix my TV. And I appreciated that!

The staff was accommodating and very pleasant. Cecy was very helpful with checking us in. The location is great, close to shopping and restaurants. Also close to Eagle Bank Arena. The price for the room we stayed in was awesome. We had almost everything we needed. Very minor, but had to ask for additional toilet paper for the room. Breakfast was ok, could have been better. But I shouldn’t complain about free.

Staff was excellent and helpful, the hotel itself is a bit dated but a bargain at the price. Would stay again, and the overnight desk attendant was really helpful when I found a beetle in my room he came immediately and killed it for me. Can’t emphasize enough the staff was helpful and just nice overall.
- 4/5
We booked this hotel because of its convenient location and pet friendly. The hotel is clean but shows signs of wear. The breakfast was very good and plenty of seating. The room kitchen was stocked but the coffee maker did not work. All bath toiletries were good and used during our visit. Walking distance to many restaurants and stores. We were moving and Sonesta worked for us.
- 3/5
Our overall stay here was acceptable, but it wasn't what we hoped it would be. To begin with, we had the worst welcome we've ever had at a hotel (Friday afternoon, male at the desk). No welcome, paper just handed to us to initial. When we went to our room, there were many people standing at the building entry door smoking (front desk is in a separate building) and the entry door wasn't latched (throughout the weekend it was only latched twice but WOULD lock when pulled tight). Our room was on the ground floor with the window next to the parking lot and the area where everyone was smoking. We returned to the desk to ask to have another room and the man at the desk said they were sold out but then after quite a bit of sighing, found us a room on the second floor across the hall but said it wasn't ready yet and to come back. We sat on the patio, where we could see torn screens on a few rooms and lots of clutter in the windows. It became apparent that many people are longterm residents (kids coming home with backpacks). Eventually our room was ready and the room was fine. Did have crying kids across the hall with really loud toys, but they quieted after bedtime. Breakfast was ok. On Sunday there was no meat, just eggs and biscuits/gravy. The weekend desk person was quite nice. We are new to the Sonesta family and hope this visit was a fluke as we are in the area several times a year to visit our son and would like to find a place we automatically book every time for our trips

Room was like a 1 bedroom suite. Full kitchen, bedroom with TV, main area with TV, nice and clean bath area. Free hot breakfast was plentiful and great.
- 5/5
The lady who was working when I checked out was very nice and asked about my stay. The man who checked me in (William) had the personality of a tree stump. No welcome, no smile, no nothing. I often wonder why people with absolutely no customer service skills take customer service jobs?
- 5/5
Really loved this place. It was within minutes from the Vienna station, which was exactly what I needed. Every staff member was super kind and polite. Missed breakfast both days due to my personal schedule, so I was bummed about that based on other reviews! Parking was only $5 a night and based on location, I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent staff and clean room
- 2/5
Breakfast was tasty with a solid variety, including fresh options for making breakfast sandwiches. Reasonable Pet Fee. The Bad: Staff were not friendly—more indifferent than rude—and often unavailable. I waited 15 minutes at the front desk just to check out. I requested a handicap-accessible room with no stairs but was placed on the second floor. The only elevator was on the opposite side of the building, with no nearby handicap parking. The TV didn’t work and had to be rewired by staff. Trash barrels near the entrance doors were overflowing, and there was a constant smell of alcohol, marijuana, and vaping in the area. The Ugly: The toilet ran constantly unless manually adjusted—something housekeeping should have caught, especially since the room didn’t feel clean. A smoke detector directly above the bed flashed a bright light every few minutes, repeatedly waking us. The dog relief area was filthy, with waste scattered throughout and no visible maintenance. Worst of all, constant plumbing noise. Water ran frequently during the day, then nonstop starting at 4:20 a.m. for over an hour—sleep was impossible. Checked out and won’t be back.

Notre séjour fut très bien. La chambre, le stationnement, le déjeuner et le staff du déjeuner. Mais le commis de nuit était désintéressé et peu aidant.

I choose to stay at this hotel because I bring my dog along. This last time I was bothered on two separate occasions about my dog. Both times I was not out long. If you guys have a dog policy, you should expect barking even on the second time I got called. I approached the front desk before leaving and let them know I would be stepping out and to please not call me and they still did. I understand it was not the staff, but they could have handled that differently with whomever called.

one tv worked one did not, the toilet didn’t flush well. There were these big new things plugged in that buzzed and kept us up the first two nights. The people who checked me in and out were very nice… The front desk staff is always great!
- 3/5

- 5/5
Good hotel
- 5/5
The staff were very professional.
- 4/5
Spacious room. Very low water pressure. Though adjacent to highway room was quite . Short walk to DD and Macca. Manager very receptive to help. $5 penalty for bringing a car each night.
- 3/5
Damaged walls and broken door handle
- 5/5
Rooom was super clean and I was very pleasantly surprised by the amount of space (had a kitchen area, breakfast bar as well as large lounge area) - also very convenient for parking and some of the local shops. Staff were very helpful and even let me back into the room after I'd checked out and forgotten my airpods!
- 5/5
Rooms were well maintained, the staff allowed for early checkin and the breakfast was spot on!
- 5/5
Such a peaceful and comfortable hotel, in a great location. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
Having a full refrigerator and dishwasher is appreciated! The chargers next to one side of the bed didn't work, which found out the hard way, but the rest did. Internet is not great, but free--the paid one is only slightly better than the normal internet, so you should be fine with the free. Breakfast buffet is clean and restocked often; for celiac there aren't gluten free options except the eggs, which is not a fault, just a heads up. There is a $5 a day charge for parking--the lot is not gated or patrolled, so this seemed a bit silly to me. The location is great, super close to food, parks, and the highways, yet far enough away to be super quiet. There's a weird, never open house looking building in the lot up above the hotel, so we spent half the time in the hotel trying to figure out what it was and when the trucks were moved--we had a whole back story going on, for what I'm sure is a normal building. :) Would highly recommend for family travel as well.
- 3/5
This property has gone downhill over the years, when I entered the back building where my room was, the smell of the food was unbearable, people smoking weed on the patio. I wouldn't stay here again
- 5/5
Convenient
- 5/5
Our room was so clean and it was great to have a little kitchen with a bigger fridge. I was able to make stuff to bring to Thanksgiving dinner. The breakfast was really terrific as well. We didn't bother with maid service. Just easy enough to get clean towels. I would definitely stay here again.
- 2/5
Likely the room she gave rarely a pet Please please see my photos. I had a severe asthma attack that night had to stay out to recover I asked to have the pet dander cleaned next say after getting sick and finding the dander NoOne came or cares so very sad I showed them pictures as well !!!
- 4/5
Room was clean. Housekeeping was very good. Breakfast was not the best I’ve had at hotel breakfast bars. Oatmeal that was supposed to be cooked was place in microwave and serve to other patrons and me watery like soup and not softened. Also, breakfast was often not ready at stated start times which meant breakfast had to be skipped.
- 2/5
Also, 5 dollars a day for parking. No hotel in Fairfax charges for parking. It’s not in the city and there is plenty of parking, another was of making unjustified profit. Will 5 dollars a day kill me, no but enough of the nickel and diming — stop. I will stay somewhere else in the future.

Nice and spacious suite, good breakfast options, quiet surroundings, definitely recommend!
- 4/5
Everything was nice it woudlve have been better if they had serviced my room EVERYDAY instead of twice in my 6 days of being there.
- 5/5
The housekeeping was provided twice a week. Excellent care was taken to ensure suite was refreshed and cleaned. Additional room supplies were provided by the front desk in between services. Staff always provided great services upon your request.
- 5/5
Everything was very comfortable. Clean, convenient and friendly Only thing I see is maybe put out some ice machines.....or have some ice trays in the room refrigerator freezer all ready to go
- 3/5
For the most part the room was okay. We had one main concern however. Our granddaughter was traveling with us so we had requested a room for three. When got there we found that the sleeping arrangements for the third person was a joke of a sofa bed. It was a series of bars and springs with little or no padding. She ended up sleeping on the floor over some folded up mattress pads. The last night she slept at her cousin's house across town and finally got some rest.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean and nice. Very comfortable.
- 3/5
I could hear people walking and using the bathroom/shower on the floor above me. The fire alarm kept flashing a light all night which was disturbing my sleep. And my room was in building B, which is not connected to the main building which serves the free breakfast and does check in/out.
- 5/5
The representative who checked us in was very professional and got us into our room as soon as we arrived. The check out was the same and the representative was knowledgeable about our questions concerning future plans to stay at the hotel.
- 5/5
Always a great stay! 3rd property we have visited.
- 3/5
Cons: Paying for parking seemed a reach for a suburban location. Noisy refrigerator in our studio space which combined with traffic noise made restful sleep difficult. Uncertain if we will use again on return trip to area.
- 5/5
Always clean. Comfy bed. Very quiet. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Plenty of parking.

Very comfortable for an extended stay while working in the area. Entire staff was friendly and helpful. I will be back for another extended stay.

Everything is very good. Only room cleaning twice a week and that's not enough.

Great place. only thing that is a negative is how the bed faces when someone goes to the vanity area and turns light on. It really is a problem for one still sleeping. Deluxe Studio room

The round are great. The housekeeping ladies were very nice and the Gentleman Nick at the front desk was top notch!

Everything was fine except for the desk chair had white stains on the cushion. I won't say what my first thought was but needless to say it wasn't a good first impression. I covered it with a pillow from the couch and kept it moving.
- 5/5
Pleasantly surprise, very nice location
- 3/5
Perfectly fine. More of an apartment building situation than a hotel which was fine just was not expecting to see bikes in the halls and smell people cooking dinner when I arrived. Is very walkable to restraunts which is convenient.
- 5/5
Loved our stay in Sonesta. Clean area, room and comfortable bed. Even though we didn’t use the kitchen, it was nice to have in the room. They even had a welcome on the TV screen with my name which adds a personal touch. Breakfast was also very nice. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

- 4/5
Clean, comfortable stay.
- 3/5
Lady at front check in continued to say "i am new" when she couldn't answer any questions related to the property or amenities we wished to utilize. Phone in room didnt ring to front at all when we tried to get some help. I fell at the door to the right of the main entrance and injured myself. The light was very dim, it was night, the sidewalk has a huge gap/misalignment and I got my foot caught and fell face first, my knees took the brunt of the fall and are both severely swollen, scratched up, and bruised very badly.
- 4/5
Our suite was a nice little home away from home. Clean with a comfortable bed and had a kitchenette which made it easy to feed our spoil little dachshund. I would recommend it to friends.
- 5/5
The room was spotless! Traveling as a solo woman and felt very comfortable staying here. Would definitely recommend.
- 3/5
I almost got robbed in the parking lot by some young thug. I ordered room service that was offered. It came 2 hours late. Then when it came it was at tge desk for a half hour. Usually the sonesta are great sometimes better than the four star hilton. But not this one.
- 4/5
Nice but keep the breakfast to 10
- 5/5
I did enjoy my stay here, and came back again because what I really loved was the outside atmosphere around the property which includes nice paths to walk, basketball court and more. Perfect especially with young kids or pets. It’s also a great location as there are many stores/restaurants close. If you are traveling or don’t have your own transportation, walking distance. Loved having the full fridge, stove top and anything needed to cook with and a spacious room. They do offer breakfast in the morning as well which my son loved the first stay, hust made our own this time. The manager, Hannah was more than accommodating when a minor issue came up and am very appreciative of that. I will definitely return with my family!
- 5/5

Roll away bed was pretty worn out and was uncomfortable to sleep on.

Very nice Hotel in a quiet neighborhood!
- 4/5
I was impressed with this specific location. Very quiet guests. Front desk personnel were extremely accommodating!
- 4/5
Our room (2 BR) was large, and the beds were comfortable. However, there was noise from traffic, the air conditioner, and the folks on the upper floor. At check-in we were told that we had requested a wheelchair and a wheelchair accessible room which was not the same as an accessible room. I guess you need to be extremely explicit about any special requests. On the whole, it was a very good stay.

We had a 1BR suite. It was very comfortable, clean, and perfect for us. The grounds and amenities (exercise room, basketball court, patios) were really nice too. I highly recommend this hotel.
- 3/5
My first visit went perfect and was a smooth experience. The second time they gave me another room without letting me know beforehand, and the washer was broken so it ruined my clothes.
- 5/5
My family and I had a wonderful stay! The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the hotel was in a quiet area with plenty of shopping centers and restaurants nearby. Aside from the noisy shower door and the AC unit being loud when it first turned on (though the noise faded afterward), everything exceeded our expectations, and we’d love to stay here again.

Spacious room, convenient, local stores. Great staff.
- 1/5
The “crib” they promised to have brought to the room ended up being a dirty pack-and-play with stains on it. It also was not secure and collapsed on one side with baby in it. This was brought after asking multiple times to please bring the crib that was requested over a month prior. The refrigerator in the room was randomly very loud like a kid squealing a few times and then back to quiet. Not a huge deal until it woke me in the night. Just a very average place with raggedy features.

Good stay

I stayed for 4 nights. I wasn’t aware of a parking fee each nite. I won’t be staying at Sonesta any more
- 4/5
The area had many different places to eat or get coffee. The breakfast was excellent and staff very helpful. Our room was perfect for our needs.
- 4/5
Stay was good. Much more quiet than I first thought it would be. Good setup
- 5/5
I loved the rooms ,they look like small apartments with kitchenette and large tvs.But the best thing was the personal greeting of welcome and my name on the television screen.
- 4/5
Love the fact that the room was like a small apartment!!! Definitely would stay again! My TV in the living room wasn't working but they did come and fix it for me after I called.
- 4/5
Good stay. Front desk was friendly and breakfast was good. Bathroom is located in the bedroom of the suite, which can be awkward if folks are using the sofa bed.
- 5/5
The stay was very pleasant. Satisfied with the amenities and supplies provided. Expected a but more diversity in breakfast options. The property is super tidy and clean and safe.
- 5/5
I did not like the barn door to the bathroom, or the location of the open bathroom space so close to the bed. I wish every hotel would have a soft night light in the bathroom.
- 5/5
I always have a great stay here. The location is the best part. There are so many shops and just about every restaurant you could want in the area. The rooms are always clean and well stocked. The property is very well kept and the staff is always polite and helpful. 10/10

Nice place!
- 3/5
I would recommend it if anyone asked. I would definitely ask them if they prefer their room right next to an entrance where a lot of traffic comes and goes. (My dog hears everything.) Also, if you have a young child and or dog and a lot of belongings to get a room where you can use a trolley for your belongings. The AC did keep turning off in the middle of the night so I had to have it running all night. The outside was very nice to walk around and atmosphere was nice. Staff was very friendly and professional. Room was spacious for my son. However , I have never had to pay for parking at a hotel. I did hit my leg on the bed frame multiple times, which sticks out. It all depends on what’s more important to you when staying somewhere, especially for the cost per night. :) If from out of town, I would definitely recommend for location.

Paper thin walls - we were in bed at 9:30pm, and all night heard the baby in the room next door crying, kids running up and down the halls until 11:00pm, and the lady across the hall opening and closing her door while doing some very late packing. We called down to the lobby for them to please come up and talk to the people with the kids in the hallway and constantly opening and shutting of doors. We finally got to sleep around 3:30am and had to wake up at 4:15am for our flight. This place is lipstick on a pig - it's got a great layout, it was clean, it's updates, and even the bed is comfortable - but no one cares about any of that if they can't actually get to sleep because of the walls being too thin. I would have totally preferred an old and outdated if I could have actually slept in it.

Great for families. lots of space for everyone to be comfortable. The kitchen is a huge plus .
- 4/5
Large comfortable room. Friendly staff. No overhead covering for check-in which was a problem due to heavy rains. Luggage got soaking wet. Also was charged $5 for parking.
- 5/5
Hotel Suite was nice as described on line. Modern update rooms, nice courtyard area and easy parking.
- 5/5
This would be a great place for extended stay. The room was functional and clean. The property was more like an apartment complex than a hotel and the kitchen was nice, complete with counter bar seating. You could probably make a great meal if you added an air fryer for long stays. The breakfast was about average but still a nice amenity.

Love the breakfast in the AM and all the amenities

Great every time we visit. Perfect breakfast. Quiet, clean, nice staff.

I was busy visiting family so wasn’t able to use all the available amenities (breakfast, exercise equipment, etc) but staff were friendly and facility was clean.
- 5/5
Staff was great, rooms were clean, property is very nice, loved the patio space!
- 5/5
The coffee e maker was left unclean having mold inside, but changed when asked. The washing sponge was left from previous guests, which was unpleasant. Someone was smoking marijuanna in their bathroom underneath and it vented trough. I gave 4 stars for those cleaned things, other than that great hotel.
- 5/5
Comfortable bed, pillows and sheets. Excellent room outlay and good quality furniture. Best overall hotel in the area.
- 4/5
Everything was perfect except the toilet in the room. The handle was broke
- 5/5
Everything was great; breakfast , quiet, relaxing atmosphere.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, studio-style rooms. If you rent a car and don't worry about public transport, this is the go-to place to stay for business or pleasure.
- 4/5
Room was very nice, beds extremely comfortable. My room had an odor of a previous smoking room, but everything else was excellent.
- 1/5
I had a horrible stay. I made complaints about the noise in the room next door. Only after the second call involving the police did the room become quiet. This was after 5 hours of shouting from the neighboring room.
- 4/5
Did not get side by side rooms in spite of requesting and calling in advance.
- 5/5
Excellent room for the price. Clean, quiet, decent beds. Staff was friendly (but a little hard to track down at times). I'd definitely stay there again.

A pleasant surprise for the location and price. Looks w its fully equipped.
- 5/5
Sonesta has the best suite room for the price. Excellent room outlay, bed, furniture and utensils.
- 5/5
The suite was clean, and the kitchenette had all the cooking necessities to fix a meal. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and expeditiously restocked to meet the demands of the guests.
- 5/5
Very nice room. Got a free upgrade to a 2-br suite.

Nice and peaceful
- 5/5
Very clean room and the bed was very comfortable
- 3/5
The place is perfectly located for area activities but the relaxation is terrible. The room was clean and spacious but the amount of noise was intolerable. If the hotel had better noise insulation I’d give it high marks but as is, I’d only stay again if I had no other choice. The cleaning staff were excellent but only came by 2x a week.
- 5/5
Stayed here for business and it met all of my basic needs. Bed was comfortable, little kitchen was helpful, and nearby amenities were nice to have. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Liked the location and size of room!
- 4/5
The suite was great: clean, spacious, great bed, nice kitchenette, everything needed. But this is an Extended Stay hotel and my neighbors were on one side an apparently single day with three bored sons under 10 marauding through the hallways and stairwells and very loud way past 11, and on the other a large family with what sounded like a very young baby and a raft of other kids who were crying and screeching until the wee small hours. Thank God for the white noise of the HVAC system and for the ear plugs i never travel without. I asked for a quiet suite away from the highway. Instead I got this one, overlooking a busy multi lane parkway and the above mentioned neighbors, for whom I felt some pity, but who allowed very little rest or sleep😕
- 4/5
For the most part I got what I was seeking, in terms of a quiet, clean, safe, and comfortable space. The one technical glitch involving the heat was promptly dealt with. I would caution people about kiddie-size toilets that many guests may not find easy to use without grab bars.
- 4/5
I thought from the reviews this property would be better than it is. Rooms are ok but nothing special. If I could have changed to go somewhere else, I would have. Only one night though.
- 5/5
Location and overall experience was excellent.
- 5/5
The staff were great and the facility quite convenient.

❤️ this Sonesta. Been staying here for over 15 years. Back to when it was Residence Inn. Sonesta purchased the property and continued the spectacular high standards & comforts one can appreciate. The staff is awesome !

We had a great two night stay here in December. The property was clean and the beds comfortable. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The only negative about the stay was our room was right above where people were smokihe side entrance of buokdinh A. Our room was filled with cigarette smoke all night. ng right near t
