Chief Motel

First off there was blood spatter on the wall and ceiling. Floors were covered in dirt and dead bugs. The kitchen area had grease all over the wall. The microwave was disgusting. It was a smoking room with no ash trays, and there was ash all over the bed sheets. Need i say more?

It was better than expected for the price, the motel could use some updates, but a comfortable place to lay your head down and rest when traveling, all and all it was pretty good, amazing shower pressure btw.

Hour late check in. First room a/c cover fell off and stopped working. Second room had a bed bug we found the next morning.

It was clean but very dated and could use some TLC. Fine place to stay if you want cheap and centrally located with easy parking and access to the interstate.

too far from eureka springs for me - but was pleasantly surprised by this low budget motel. cannot see sign easily as it's too small if you are coming from west - would stay again if closer to eureka

There was no shower nozzle,there was no tub plug to hold the water to take a bath due to no shower nozzle...cigarette burn in the bedspread...he said his computer had no record of an invisible person because my name was not printed in the email confirmation...he was not in office at 11:59 pm to chg rooms..the next morning I ask for a refund for I had to take a spit bath using the washcloths.and he refused the refund

Nice, clean, comfortable room. Very spacious. Mike and his staff were awesome!

Man was nice at check in. Room was acceptable, but not clean. TV and phone did not work, but was promptly fixed. Coffee pot was nasty. Coffee was terrible and didn’t fit the machine. Two of the three coffee bags were broken when i opened the pack. I did ask for 8 coffees for the next day, which is a lot. I was going to use two for each cup. The woman I asked was rather rude, but it was an uncommon request. She directed me to the housekeeper who was extremely nice. The next morning about 10 a man shook the door handle, the door must have not been locked because it opened. He asked if I was leaving or wanted to stay another night. He just opened the door! I carry a gun when I travel. NEVER EVER should someone bust into your room.

The room was clean. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely stay again!

Got there few minutes b4 check-in & was told wasnt till 3:30 but online says 3:00pm room wasnt ready. People running it was very friendly room was clean but needs alittle fixing.

Air conditioner didn't work the shower hardly works the toilet my child refused to use it wasn't installed properly I paid for the room in advance and was told to check in at 3 pm Friday October 3rd 2025 and wasn't allowed to check in till well after 330 or 4 pm they said they had to cancel the room I paid for and gave me a different room and then I went to check out and they was not even close to being polite the room they gave us has electric outlet with live wires exposed and my child almost got electrocuted over all it was definitely not worth the money I spent at all

I had to pay full price for room at hotel as they got no information from you and they would not accept anything from me pertaining to the booking. The clerk tried to call you as well as myself and all we got was the automated mess with no options to talk to anyone

Despite having a confirmed reservation and showing it to the receptionist, she couldn’t acknowledge the email with all the details of the reservation, even with a confirmation number. She could see I had a reservation but unable to figure out how to access it, even with the help of Hotels.com staff.

This was the second-worst motel I have ever stayed in. The clothes rack fell off the wall in the middle of the night, the shower head was only 4 feet high, the bathroom mirror was hung 6 inches too low, the A/C was noisy. I reserved a non-smoking room; my room was a smokers room.This motel needs to be razed, and something useful built on the land.

Comfortable, affordable & convenient.

This hotel stanked so bad and was so dirty it had roaches crawling around the towels in the room were filthy I asked for more n they gave me more dirty towels drug addicts cover the parking lot there are stains all over the mattresses there was poop in the toilet when I got there the air conditioning stanked so bad the hotel only has 1 iron that doesn't work

My bed was uncomfortable and there weren't enough pillows for my liking.

Great stay. We were looking for a lesser expensive stay for a concert. It was clean and comfortable. Would stay there again!

Rude staff in morning Jacuzzi tub didn't work properly and the flooring wasn't in good condition also took from 3 pm check in till midnight for room to even cool off to comfort

Bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The bathroom floor hadn’t been cleaned in weeks… hair and dirt all along walls. AC unit full of black yuck. Not a nice place. Wasn’t expecting a 5 star hotel for $100, but I was at a minimum expecting it to be clean.

The owners are terrible people

I stayed in the Honeymoon room with the jacuzzi and was shocked to see an assortment of dead, dried up bugs all about the floor as if floor hadn't been cleaned in months. In the heart tub, live bugs that looked like they were ticks! Linens, toilet and countertops were clean but just a bunch of dead (and alive) bugs! Dead bugs were not like infestation bugs (not roaches, ants or bed bugs) but like outside bugs who made their way in, died and never got swept up. The ticky crawly things in the hot tub were the grossest. Also jacuzzi did not "jacuzzi" it just filled with water, no jacuzzi bubble feature. Not a very good value at all for $143 on a Weds. Just manage your expectations.

The place was nothing as the pictures showed in advertising. The room stunk the tub full of grime air conditioner was horrabl the filters was full of dust and sticky crap the floor was dirty the walls was paint pealing in areas and there was dust bunnies on ceilings. Then i found what looked like blood stains or poop stains on the sheets. Well i tried uploading pictures but it would not let me.

Looked run down on the outside. Good lighting but could use some better repairs inside. Beds comfortable. Not sure about the area we were in

Due to college graduation at UA and Mother'sDay weekend, the Italian Restaurant was booked up so we couldn't try it. We just went to another small family Italian restaurant about 2 miles away.

The property did not have hot water. Staff was in no hurry to get that fixed. Offerred no appoligies or discounting the stay.

Asma.. immediately when you walk into the door, the overwhelming smell of smoke hits you- the office couldn’t do anything since they apparently don’t enforce their policy. The room itself if horrible, patched walls, mold in the bathtub, bed not comfortable. And if you don’t like people cooking outside of their door room on a portable bbq grill, don’t stay there.

I should get a refund! Expedia should remove this place from it's services.

Great place to stay. They will match online deals as well. So you aren’t charged all the 3rd party fees. There are some who live here but they don’t cause no harm, and very polite.

There was multiple roaches crawling through out the room. People next door kept banging on the doors through the middle of the night making it hard to sleep and had to notify front office to resolve the issue more than once not getting a good night sleep. Young adults smoking marijuana outside their room emitting a strong odor and inconvinient for our family.

Rest of the room - Smallest micro wave ever. Frig had a filthy shelf. Bed had a sheet metal base and made metallic noise with slightest movement. Outside - Deck chairs outside rooms for no apparent reason except to help smokers. Neighbor must have been a chair smoker because it kept coming in through the AC all the time I was there. Finally, there was old tall TV cabinets stored outside in the parking lot in various states of repair. Seriously, I took pics of all this. This review comes from my first visit to the University of Arkansas and it was Family Weekend for the Freshman as well. If visiting this area and this is still available on any hotel site, by pass! Orbitz should drop this one!

We pre booked with Expedia and when showed up they don’t allow pets, we had our dog with us. I asked for a refund and he said we had to deal with Expedia. It was after midnight and I just wanted to sleep. Next I called Expedia..neither one would would refund

Room was tidy, but I could smell it wasn’t clean. Smokey as well. Not tolerable. Shower curtain smelled. Didn’t bother showering. Two small baby roaches appeared while in the bathroom. Smoke alarm started beeping after being in there for 5 minutes. Didn’t trust the bed. Just left. I’m not spending money to feel disgusted and unable to sleep. I hear you get what you pay for, but I shouldn’t pay money to get living conditions that are worse than the back seat of my car.

The owners are great! They got us a hairdryer. Room was immaculate. Close to lots of great restaurants. Will be back.

Quiet and clean

Everything was perfect except for we had people coming in our room from the restaurant

There were cockroaches in the room alot of them. It was dirty. Burn holes in the blankets. Stains on the towels it was nasty will not be co.ing back

Overall was a good stay. We were only there for about 6 hours just to get some sleep. We did not use the showers/tub at all just because it was not necessary. However, for a place to lay your head for one night it got the job done.

It is what you would expect of a nice Motel. And i stress nice motel. I have stayed in more than a few and most old school Motels are a bit shady. This one was honestly quite nice. I would give it five stars except for the floors could have been cleaner and not ice bucket.

Had water in floor from A/C and from refrigerator defrosting. They moved us to another room. Area was nice. Decently quiet.

I prefer to stay in local , privately owned venues supporting the lcal communities that i visit and promoting small businesses. This motel is wonderful. Locatuon and staff. Highly recommend

It was terrible filthy moldy coffee grounds in the coffee maker burn holes in the blanket the smell was nauseating I didn't stay there we got a different motel to stay in. I was so afraid I didn't even request a refund but I need one

You have to know what you are getting into when you stay here. If you are into John Wick movies this place is great!

Dead bugs in the floor. Live bugs running around. Dirty, burn holes in bedsheets and furnature.

The place is very run down. I have roaches in both rooms I stayed in. The door had to have a screw removed to allow it close and lock. Very bad shape.

Basic room and close to activities (nice feature) but the room smelled like an ashtray--I brought an air purifier because all that was available was a smoking room, but it didn't help much. Long-term renters had kids playing outside the rooms at 7 am and had visitors parking in the spots outside the rooms, so I had to park further away. I would only stay here if nowhere else was available--which sometimes is the case on game weekends.

It was a really short stay. My wife and I ALWAYS do a pretty thorough bed bug check everytime we stay anywhere. When we flipped the mattress up in this motel, roaches started scattering everywhere. We checked right back out. The attendant was apologetic and gave us a refund.

Stayed here a few times for the price, location to the U of A and the cleanliness. Booked 2 weeks in advance for the 1st game of football season. Price had doubled from 6 months ago. Checking in, there was a woman in socks, obviously on something, talking to herself who ended up in a room two doors down from our corner room. The door didn't lock. The floor slanted down. The toilet tank leaked all over the bathroom floor. We don’t require much more than clean and safe, but this wasnt it.

Clean room....comfy bed....owner very helpful. All in all...nice stay. Would stay there again!

Didn’t like anything absolutely horrible

This place was an absolute disaster. Roaches were all over the room. When I asked for a solution I was handed a can of roach spray. Do not stay at this place.

Old Motel in run down condition. Bed ok, but plaster coming off ceiling. Floor in vanity area snd bathroom sloped down and made you feel like you were going to fall. Used to be a smoking room cigarette odor still there. Paid for room through Hotel. Com but Hotel Charged me too so I was double charged. Would not recommend this motel at all .

Not so great, a bit run down. The room we booked wasn't available and they said I didn't have a reservation until I proved it to them with a confirmation code. They said that they were sold out, but then magically had a smoking room.

I can't believe he said I got lucky with the price! The wifi didn't work, and there was roaches. Other than that the only thing that made it bearable was the fact that the hotel is in the middle of Fayetteville

Expedia booked and confirmed a room for me that the hotel did not have and thus could not honor.

Got to the room and the door was wide open. Door didn't want to close properly without being slammed shut as hard as possible. We had to leave right away for our event and intended to talk with management later. Came back, had to body slam the door to get it open! Slammed it shut to keep it closed for the night, yet the wind from a storm blew it open at 3:30 am!! Had the security latch on, thankfully. Tried to talk to someone when checking out but attendant refused to come to the window. The room condition was what we expected for a motel, but extremely disappointed that reservations were made weeks in advance only to be told they wouldn't have the room I reserved, gave us a room with an obviously faulty door, and wouldn't come out at 8:30am for us to check out and discuss the issue.

I like the fact that you can still smoke in the room
