The accommodations matched the price point, and I felt I received good value for the money. The hotel could use a little TLC, yet I’d still consider it a solid choice for a future visit.

The room smelled horrible. There were dried drips of coffee on the desk showing that surfaces were not even wiped down.

Unfortunately, there was no toiletries in the room. Towels were cheap & flimsy. And the only 2 ice machines on the premises were broken...

Staff helped me get a new room to take care of my needs, and it was good.

While the staff was courteous, the room and amenities were awful. The room had a very funky odor which the property/cleaning crew tried to mask with a Little Tree car freshener hung from the bathroom door. Along with the odor, room was very stuffy with a sticky feel to it. The soap provided was very small and wouldn't last more than a couple washes. Several spots of what appeared to be dried blood along the walls/furnishings showed that the rooms are not adequately cleaned between guests which is unacceptable. I booked a handicap room with roll in shower for my disabled mother to stay in while she was visiting the area. While this level of uncleanleness is not acceptable for any room, the handicap rooms should receive more attention as there are often vulnerable people utilizing them. Will not be back and will tell others to stay away.

The room was ok but didn't like having a handicap room and toilet didn't work very good. The price was ok.

The A/C was a bit difficult to handle. The buttons to change the temperature caused the machine to change between modes settings instead. Not to mention, the room could use some renovating. There was patches of paint just hanging from the ceiling.

I was exhausted and had to go to the bathroom. We had food that we brought with us on the trip. We opened the mini fridge. It was not plugged in, there were live ants and several dead cockroaches in the refrigerator. I was too tired to switch rooms. There were several dead cockroaches on the floor in the bathroom. A live one scurried on the bedroom wall in the morning. From the dust behind the refrigerator and on the baseboards, it is pretty obvious that the housekeeping staff is only changing the bedclothes and the towels. The toilet ran all night after flushing. Positives: the bed was comfortable, the sheets and pillowcases were clean and there was no sign of bedbugs. The only reason I chose to stay there was because of its proximity to I-95. Ownership takes no pride in the place. Hotels.com should be ashamed of themselves for listing this place. I am losing my confidence in Hotels.com.

Ceiling was dropping down from water damage. Toilet was dripping all night. One wall was partially painted. Areas were not cleaned well, including the bathroom counter. The only reason I gave it a 2-star is that the water pressure was great and the AC worked.

The room was dirty. The door to the bathroom was broken at the bottom as if someone had kicked it in. There were no amenities such as tissue, hair dryer. The towels were thread bare.

This property has sketchy people living on premises, and my room was roach infested.

Place needs to be cleaned it has bugs broken in hotel doors dirty bathroom dirty bed no amenities stains on the blankets and pillows feces stains on the toilet couldn't be in there longer than 45 minutes before wanting to leave ask for refund and was denied.

I don't know what was particularly unique but the price was good, it was EASY to check in, the night clerk was wonderful and got me checked in quickly. The room was easy to find and it was clean. I would go back there without a second thought... Great place to stay.

The towels and wash clothes weren’t clean so I’m glad we travel with our own. The room needed renovations/upgraded. Really expected better since the Red Roof Inn in Myrtle Beach is where we usually stay for a weekend getaway. Was VERY disappointed.

The only observation I can make is that the exhaust fan in the bathroom was disconnected, dirty and the cover was only partially attached.

It was a clean hotel that allowed pets. It had a nice big grassy area to let the pups play right across from the property and a waffle house just a quick walk from your room. It didn't have weird smells and their wasn't any shady activity around the property. Nice place!

Bathroom floor and carpet dirty. Toilet handle not working well. Staff never came in in 4 days to clean or bring fresh towels. Refused 4 times to bring fresh towels, had to find them myself. Run around about a receipt for stay and getting $50 deposit back. TV remote not working correctly. Air conditioner not the best.

If your looking for somewhere fast affordable and easy accessible to the mall, as well as other shopping places and places to eat all that are whiting walking distance or just a couple min drive then this the place. It's very affordable as well.

the other building. Other guests were sitting in their cars with loud radios playing. One of them shouted right outside my door numerous times to someone in her room near mine. After walking my dog, I wanted to get something out of my car. Another group of guests had just gotten into their car parked next to mine to leave so I waited until they pulled out. I thought something was off as the driver stood outside his side of the car for a little while , then realized he was urinating.

First time staying at a red roof won’t stay at these properties again would not consider a hotel. It’s more of a motel.

Absolutely the WORST Hotel/Motel stay I ever stayed at in my LIFE! The thin outdoor rug in the room was filthy. It was not vacuumed at all. As soon as we walked in, I saw MULTIPLE stains (black, dark red, yellow) on the dirty bedspread. I took that off to just use the comforter - it was even more stained and repulsive than the bedspread! To boot even the top sheet was stained and was as thin as a tissue. Thank God we brought our own Blanket. It was 10 pm so I wasn't going to bother the Manager, who was running the Hotel Office who was very nice. We ran out at 8 am. Please advise if there is any way to get a Refund or a Percentage returned to my original.form of payment. It was a terrible night and experience.

No coffee, no hairdryer, dirty shower, people had been smoking in the non smoking room, people arguing and screaming all night in the rooms around us and letting a crying baby roam around outside on the balcony in the freezing cold

There was a sign that said 100% non smoking and as soon as we walked in we were hit in the face with a strong smell of cigarette smoke and we noticed that the bathroom walls had some blood stains here and there and the bed was caved in the middle and also on the dresser there was a burn mark with the wood looked bubbled and there was burn marks on the comforter that had made holes in the blanket they used a sheet to try to cover it as well. I would stay at the Hilton hotel right behind there instead of staying at the red roof inn! Not to mention the pictures they use do not match the room!

For the price and location I would recommend this motel. They give you the essentials for a comfortable stay. I would stay again if in Florence

Room was nice, clean but very small and not what was advertised when booking.. I booked a king delixe room. The room we stayed in did not have a king bed and there was nothing deluxe about it. The room was almost claustrophobic for 2 people and only had a full bed. Also it should be stated this hotel requires a security deposit upon check in or it should be charged when booking.

Great location. Room left a lot to be done. Not very clean, old and crumbling. Microwave that didn’t work.

This place was just bought out by someone who is not taking care of it. The rating is no longer relevant on hotels.com. the place is filthy. I was so uncomfortable I didn't stay the second night. They also do not accept payment from hotels.com or Expedia. We had to pay twice and I am still waiting on a refund. It was one of the worst experiences I have had at a hotel and I travel for work all the time.

Staff gave a key to my room to someone who just checked in. I thought someone was trying to break into the room. If it wasn't for the bolt, they would've walked right in. Yet, my key did not work each night of my stay so I always had to go back up to the office to get a new one. I am also pretty sure there was blood on the bathroom walls. Definitely don't recommend.

I checked in. I went to the building where my room was located on the backside of a back building. There was not a single light in the parking lot or on the building - total darkness. There were a number of cars in disrepair that looked like people were living in them. There were many people milling around outside and blasting music from a boom box. I wouldn't even get out of my car. I did not feel safe at all and i am a seasoned traveler. Even though my room was paid for I left and went to another hotel.

Only stay at Red roof out of desperation, then treated like you moving in a new apt. By bringing clean sheets and bedding , towels , wash cloths and a iron.. To get these things and to be clean is asking a lot from this hotel. To be in a superb location, it’s doesnt cut it on lowest standards.. My recommendation plan ahead of time, stay away friends from booking here..

Water was out, but that was the city's issue. Your staff needs to be more customer friendly or find employment elsewhere. If you're behind the desk, your face should NOT be sour! SMILE and lose the attitude.

Had stayed before with newly refreshed room and came back, this time a disaster, filthy, door broken, water half strength,,,disappointing …

The ac unit did not have cold air an it was set at 60 degrees the vent wouldn't stay open. That was my second stay there. My first stay was July 28th an the half of the ac unit blowed air out.

They were nice at the front desk. However, my room had spiders in the bathtub. Not one, a few. The room in general needed a good cleaning.

We had been traveling for 10 to 12 hours. I booked the room during our ride the system somehow after it turned over midnight put the next day in for my stay I was actually coming in about 12:30 AM. We were so tired explained what happened Of course they said they could do nothing at the desk. I would have to call Hotels.com, so we travel on even though we were exhausted. I was not refunded nor offered another room stay . The hotel was not the cleanest, lobby quite dirty. The area is questionable, was not sure about leaving my motorcycle on a trailer there. Limited parking available. Probably better we didn’t stay there.

The room was not clean especially the floors. The sheets were clean but dingy looking. There was something stuck in the sink drain, looked like a ball of hair but l didn't take it out to see. Whatever it was it had been in there long enough to stink. This hotel used to be nice to stay at but l will not be staying there any more.

Dirty room smelled like smoke

Asked for a first floor room as I have bad knees; Red Roof does not have elevators. Sorry not having any luck. Ok I will attempt to deal with the stairs got to the room and the key card unlocked the door handle but the door was jammed shut. Went back parked my car near the office and hobbled back in. The front desk clerk said he had a room first floor other side of the building. He said drive around to the other side. There was not any parking space on that side of the building. By now I was so sore that I couldn’t walk back to the building and drove away. Zero stars. I slept in my car 300 miles away for an hour and continued home.

No coffee pot, no refrig. Pet friendly. Fine for price. Easy in and out.

Rooms are dirty and smells like cigarette smoke, and rooms are infested in Roaches, shower was dirty and no water pressure, and doorknob was broken !!

They make the rooms look so nice but the truth is there’s mold growing in the bathrooms, our tub wouldn’t drain, ice machine has mold (calling health department on Monday) and residents at the hotel grill outside their doors and in the breezeway and you would think the building in on fire. For $35 more a night we could and will stay up the street at a nicer hotel if we ever come back.

Location was fine, however, bedspreads had dirt stains on them, there was an empty beer can under the bed and no clicker for TV. Overall cleanliness was poor. The price per night and advertised ratings was nowhere near the reality of the quality of the room. We were extremely disappointed.

This was the first time I used Expedia to book a room while traveling. The woman at the front desk for check in was very polite and super friendly. I had called prior to our arrival to give her the approximate time we thought we would be getting there because it was going to be late. She assured us everything would be fine. I do not have any complaints about our stay. The room was clean. There was a bit of a musty odor but not super bad.
