Front Desk staff person was sloppy regarding room number assignment leaving us to try and enter a room with the wrong key. We had to lug all our items back downstairs to report the problem at which point the staff person thought it was funny. It was NOT! No apologies.

Since I checked in and mind you, I was there for 14 days; one of the elevators was consistently not working, and at some point, someone had gotten stuck in there for about 20 minutes. The rooms are in decent shape, I would also add the staff is not keen on making sure they’re keeping up with housekeeping unless you continually ask The breakfast was actually probably the highlight because it was pretty decent and the staff that runs it was great Also, the pool is probably still shut down even though it’s the middle of the summer Likely due because it’s not up the code Great rates for a Marriott property; but you’re getting what you pay for

The staff was excellent, the facility is very nice. My complaint is the poor water pressure in the bathroom. The flow in the sink and the shower were barely a stream. Rarely have I taken a more miserable shower. Funny thing is the pressure in the kitchenette sink was fine.

I would have appreciated knowing that the pool was closed. I would have chose a different hotel. The elevator also stopped working on Friday evening. I had to walk up 4 flights of stairs after a long day. This is not my idea of a relaxing stay. Instead of the staff person apologizing about the elevator, he blamed it on the repairman. My room was clean but the outside area by the pool was unkept.

They have always meet my expectations. 🙏 will 100% recommend it.

One of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever experienced! Though my stay was only one night, my family and I were extremely uncomfortable staying in this “run-down”hotel. I will avoid this location and possibly others within this chain at all costs!

My stay overall was a good one. The location was great. I have 4 stars because the water pressure for the shower and sink were low and the room had a smell when you first walk in but the air conditioning rectified it. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

When my wife and myself travel to Charlotte, North Carolina area we always stay at a Hilton brand hotel. This was the first time we ever stayed at the Marriott brand hotel, and we were quite pleased enough to say we are looking forward to our next stay.

I was impressed with the size of the fridge , dishwasher, full sized microwave My only dissatisfaction was with the breakfast choices. That needs to be worked on. But, as I said, I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

We were told there was no daily housekeeping but that after days someone would be in. That never happened. We put towels and trash in the hallway but never got towels replaced until we went to the desk ans asked for them. Never got a trash bag. I think you could do better on that!

Toilet paper holder was in a poor location. Shampoo holder was ripped off the shower wall. Bath towels were very thin & poor condition. Had to always ask for clean towels; waste basket disposal; clean pillow cases, etc. Not much room for hanging items or putting clothing in drawers. Terrible bed pillows! No safe in the room. The closet location along with the kitchen area & room door were too close making the area easily congested. Staff was friendly. Room was clean, but dishes were still in the dishwasher. Bed was comfortable. Refrigerator was a good size & worked well. Nice to have a sofa in the room.

We spent over an hour calling the front desk trying to get answers and lost significant time with the family we had traveled to visit. When a resolution was finally offered, it came with the condition that our room be "resellable as is" — meaning we couldn't have used it at all, despite waiting in it for an hour through no fault of our own. The promised rate adjustment never appeared on our receipt. When I followed up, we were offered $20. For an unauthorized room change, an hour of wasted time, a sleepless night (we specifically booked the suite so our toddler had a separate sleep space), and broken promises — $20 is not a resolution. On top of all of this, the hotel was visibly unclean and had a noticeable odor throughout. Deeply disappointing experience and would not return.

The pet fee was ludicrous $150. The sofa bed in the room was filthy and awfully uncomfortable. The TV was just shades of blue. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Roomy suite with comfortable bed and big bathroom, but the previous reviews are right -- poor water pressure if you're looking for strong showers. Good wifi. Coffee was decent, eggs and bacon and waffle maker were ok; the rest of the food is packaged and processed stuff. OJ was out. Fix the water pressure. Get Greek yogurt with no sugar and offer more fruit.

From the front door mat saying "Hello" to the room being above what I thought, this is by far the best hotel I have stayed in. The room was very clean, the staff went above and beyond and the breakfast area and food was amazing. The staff answered all our questions, provided extra blankets and towels. The room had a full length mirror, a stove, a nice size refridgerator and items we could use to have our meals in the room. The iron was missing from the closet, we asked at the front desk and she provided a brand new one out of the box. The pillows were a little soft, but we just doubled up and it was great.

The hotel was clean. No issues with the property itself. The only issue was with the older black woman with short hair at the front desk. She was not friendly at all. She was condescending, and attempted to overtalk me when I asked questions of the young man employee who was actually helping me. She wouldn't give him time to answer my questions before she interrupted him.

Room was missing a couple of things but the staff was quick to supply. Paid extra ($40.00) to check in early at 11:00 and paid extra ($45.00) to check out late at 3:00. House services were knocking on the door at 10:30 am, (4 1/2 hours before we were to check out).

We were sent up the road to a holiday inn Express at 1100 at night because this hotel was overbook, holiday inn exp is a decent hotel, however, I would not have book that hotel for a four night stay. Was not comparable to what I booked. Understandable if this was a one off. The next night back at the Marriott, tried to check in for the remaining three nights but was told they were still over sold. Tried to send us to another hotel but we just stayed with local family. We were also told how this was Expedias fault and somehow my fault. All my years of traveling this has never happened. Horrible experience with this particular hotel and zero follow up with Expedia.

Booked a room for 4 nights paid for completely in advance got there a day late and they cancelled my reservation. Basically told me I could rebook and pay again. Luckily I booked with Expedia so they refunded my payment minus the one night I wasn’t there. Hotel could not even honor my original booking rate. They wanted to get more than double for the booking. If the booking is paid for in advance what’s the difference when you show up. I will never stay at this hotel again and the company I work for did a lot of business with them I will advise differently.

I just want to say that the property could have handled the situation differently. The situation being there was no hot water and low water pressure for the week we stayed at the facility 11/26-11/30. Spoke to Ty at the front desk and his customer service skills did not impress me. We were on the top floor in a king suite. My mother is handicapped and hand to take the stairs do to both elevators being broken. There was no hot water. The host new all of this at check in and said nothing . I asked the manager if he was aware and he laughingly said yes.

The room and hotel were clean and the location was great. The breakfast leaves something to be desired, but it was food. The lady working out keeps it nice and fresh. The biggest issue is there is NO WATER PRESSURE. It was not like this last year when we stayed there. I'm not sure, but the bathroom sink and shower had no water. It barely trickled.

The breakfast was terrible, never knew you didnt have someone clean your rooms unless it was extended stay and to empty your garbage you had to walk all the way down the hall to stuff your garbage in a tiny garbage can. Toilet seat was broken amd I almost broke.my neck when I went to sit down. The dust on the hanging lamp was thick and discusting. Over on the wall was stuff splattered next to the window. And at the beginning of our stay I let them know that I wanted to put the $700 that my room was off of my card and pay for it in cash and they told me that was no problem when I went to leave in the middle of the night they told me that I had to wait 45 minutes that they were in the middle of an audit which I did not have that time to wait which turns out to be a very big inconvenience for me. The gentleman that was there when we left truly didn't seem to know what he was doing. I could just keep going on and on not quite sure I'd be back. The water pressure in the bathroom was barely coming out the shower floor was slimy where you had to hang in so you wouldn't fall and slip

The hotel was generally clean. The shower had black around the edges of the base, more than likely mold. The elevator was out of order for the 4 days we were there and guests on the way out said it was working intermediately during their stay. The desk continually said it is being worked on and the person behind the desk would go turn the elevator off and back on and say "It is ok now I reset it". I told them a few times i had bad knees and a bad back they did not seem to care. All in all not a good experience.

We stayed in an ADA room. However, the shower was a converted tub and we still had to step over the tub. There were grab bars but not what was expected. I thought it was wierd that no housekeeping every day, only if you requested. This meant the trash cans were overflowing by the time we left. Breakfast was mediocre.

This was a terrible hotel experience. There was no redeeming quality to this hotel, except one. The front desk staff was as kind as could be and were left trying to support and protect their. THEY JUST COULDN'T. MARRIOTT should be very embarrassed to have its name in front of this hotel. There are many better choices in the same price range. I almost always stay at Marriotts, but this could be a choice changer at this price level.

Plenty of places to eat nearby and some shopping. Not too far from carowinds or Southpark Mall. Very clean.

We stayed at Towneplace Suites in Fort Mill SC for 20 days while waiting to move into our new house. The staff is very friendly and welcoming like Diavonna at the Front Desk and Tammy in the dining room. I enjoyed making my egg, bacon, English muffin sandwich or sausage, egg, bagel sandwich or having waffles for breakfast. They were delicious and Tammy made sure the food were hot and delicious and dining cleaned. Diavonna helped me with the guest's computer. Tammy and Diavonna made you feel at home with their beautiful smiles and friendly personalities. April the Manager made us felt very appreciative for staying there. The only thing I didn't like is the low pressure water when taking a shower. Too forever to showered but I guess the hotel is being eco-friendly. We enjoyed our long stay with our comfortable room, great breakfast spread and friendly staff.

The overhead kitchen light did not work - it was dark in the room. The clerk on duty (and subsequent nights) was typically out front smoking and on his phone and not attentive. The luggage cart had a bad wheel - would not roll properly and he would make no attempt to fix this or offer a solution.

This property was an excellent value. The "suite" was spacious and had all the amenities. The daily free breakfast was wonderful - so many choices. The hotel was clean and quiet. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Well. Our room didn’t have a remote. And then I went down to the desk and they gave me another one that didn’t work either. Ugh. Plus. No hair dryer in room. Never experienced that before so I had to go to Walmart to get another one.

This is an overall nice place, but the beds are very hard. I had a backache that kept me up the first night. Took Advil the next day and night and it was a better night but still painful. The room was too warm and only cooled when we moved around the room. The sink in the bathroom had only cold water. Why? We probably won’t stay there again. We travel to the area about 4 times a year.

The hotel is quiet and clean. The reason for a good rating versus excellent is because the bed was not very comfortable, and our body wash was not filled for our use.

Not so great. Not once room was cleaned, not even trash taken out. Plus everything was either broken, not working or system down.

This property put us in a suite where the toilet was without water. Moved us to a room & the key card did not work. It took them an hour to get it working. Then throughout our stay the lock continued to malfunction & we had to return to lobby to get into the room. The manager did not care & was generally unresponsive & offered no discount for the major problems with the stay. It was a terribly managed hotel.

Clean! Unfortunately, the sink of the suite was broken. There was water leaking that flooded the floor. When I called to notify the front desk, they asked us to come get towels instead of offering them to bring it to us. It was an inconvenience to them. There was no maintenance person available. While we were there they did not resolve the issue at all. Disappointing.

I specifically Picked this hotel because they had EV Chargers, but they did not function. The desk clerk knew of an issue with the circuit breakers, but he tried, and they still would not work. So they were not maintaining the property.

Nice place to stay, modern and clean. However very noisy on Friday night. Loud guests in the hallways until very late at night. Consequently slept poorly due to other guests and staff didn’t do anything about it.

breakfast was great

It was great overall! Good breakfast, comfortable beds and safe location. The things I didnt like were just minor inconveniences. Our neighbor had an extremely bad smelling garbage bag outside their room all night and day stinking up the whole hallway, and I hate the shower set up with it being wide open next to a glass wall, no door or anything, therefore its impossible to not be freezing while you shower. Other than these things, no problems.

Low water pressure in room, electric vehicle charging station wasn’t functioning properly, couldn’t charge my car.

Great location. Clean and convenient.

This property was close to everything we needed supermarkets shopping plaza restaurants the room itself was clean. It had kitchen facilities, but not enough. Glasses plates utensils other than that it was fine.
