Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the friendly and courteous staff, cleanliness, and beautiful views at the hotel. However, there are mixed reviews about the food quality and price, and some guests have experienced issues with room amenities and maintenance. The hotel's location is praised for its convenience to local attractions, but some guests have found the layout of the resort confusing and the walk to certain amenities inconvenient.

I wanted to love this place as we came in for a quick visit and spent the money on a more expensive hotel, but I just didn’t. The hotel staff was super nice, interior hotel and our room was clean. However, The food at the restaurant was horrible..long wait then was literally terrible. The breakfast was just okay…the exterior pool bathrooms were yucky, the game room was run down and just took all our quarters. None of the hot tubs were running, however the staff did let my little one swim after hours since we got in late which was really nice. If you come without kids this is probably a more suitable hotel.
- 5/5
Great location to access the island. I always book here for visitors so they can access SanCap and FMB and Fort Myers easily.
- 5/5
Awesome pool friendly staff
- 5/5
I just wish the hotel had a private accessible beach since it is surrounded by the sea.
- 2/5
We were disappointed that the steakhouse was closed even though we were led to believe that it was. Additionally the ad clearly said that the hotel was on the beach. There is a beach that is about 20 feet long. We felt like the mock beach was a ploy to advertise it as beachfront although it is not a useable beach.

We had a great experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for families looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

Loved the views from our room of the water and the sunsets. We saw dolphins each night. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Great staff. Clean room. Beautiful place

The staff of the hotel made us feel very special since it was our anniversary. Champagne and strawberries were sent to our suite. Would highly recommend it.

First of all WE WILL return. Loved the property, loved the P&Q (Stay at Captiva Tower if you want more peace). My ONE gripe, and I hope it is passed up the chain to management, is that we stayed over on a three day holiday weekend. BOTH the new evening Dinner cruise AND the Courtside Steakhouse were only operating on Friday and Saturday night, CLOSED for both Sunday and Monday (Memorial day). I completely agree with closure on Memorial day, but guys, come on. For a THREE day weekend, with "over 85% occupancy", you keep the two major evening meal destinations closed? From a business standpoint, how much capital do you think you missed out on? I heard MANY other guests parallel the same opinions. Business is business. You should have catered to the guests!!! "Off season" is not off season for Florida Natives! ALSO it is very clear you are short staffed in the service areas. For example, the poor woman doing the omlette bar for the breakfast buffet was also running around like crazy re stocking the hot trays; also wait staff VERY thin in the two other restaurants.
- 5/5
Perfect stay. Staff were friendly. Restaurants had great service. Pool was very nice. Would come back again!

- 4/5
The hotel was good overall, the food was very basic and unimpressive. The staff is not very helpful aside from the valet guys who are very personable and helpful! I would not consider this hotel luxury at all.
- 1/5
Awful smell around the property, room was far away from main building, not secure or safe feeling, anyone could come use pool or enter to the elevator. Room has some bugs, ants all over balcony and kept getting in. Charged a ton of extra fees daily parking even though we had to park own cars and were way away from main buildings.

I love this hotel ,

First room was a disaster but the quickly switched our room. Had a fantastic time! They could manage a better flow with the coffee and tea shop - only one person working on the weekend? Fantastic location!!!

Everything was amazing, we love it.
- 5/5
very clean and warm. Staff was great. Amenities were good. Location is perfect.
- 3/5
Our room had a really bad noisy AC that was difficult to sleep. We left early because of that.
- 4/5
Place was very nice but they advertised on beach there is no beach on property need a car to go out and do things
- 5/5
The property was beautiful, clean, and the perfect place to stay. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. The best part was the stunning sunsets and watching the dolphins play.
- 5/5
Great staff, super clean and awesome amenities
- 3/5
The amenities are great!
- 4/5
The room was clean and the resort is easy to get in and out of. The service at the restaurant was sooooooo slow. We waited for an hour for our food. Location was perfect though for what we wanted to explore on Sanibel island.
- 4/5
Wonderful stay, but with some glitches. This resort hotel is conveniently located next to the (toll) bridge that goes into Sanibel Island. We requested a hypoallergenic room, and the hotel delivered! We had a beautiful view from our balcony deck. Our email notified us that the hotel was ready to check us in the previous evening. So, when we arrived, we were prepared to go to our room. However, the hotel said our room wasn’t ready. We were left a couple of hours without a room. When we tried calling to get updates, their phone wouldn’t answer. This went on for at least 20 minutes of calling the hotel. We reported the issue to the front desk. The common areas have a very strong deodorizer smell from Ecolabs. It’s very off putting especially for a nice resort. It’s a smell associated with cheap motels and public restrooms, honestly. The smell should be toned down, especially since it makes its way to the dining areas. Overall, we had a nice time.
- 5/5
Beautiful views fun to see dolphins from our balcony. Spa was very relaxing staff very friendly helpful

The room needs major updates
- 4/5
Very nice.
- 5/5
Amazing location! Incredible staff and gorgeous views! We will definitely becoming back!
- 2/5
As soon as we arrived, my daughter’s room needed to be changed immediately. There were stains all over the lampshades the couch had stains all over it, and I actually found a piece of bacon on the couch. We switched her room and honestly the second room they gave her was not much better. My room was also not great at all. The faucets in my bathroom were covered in gunk and goo and I asked for the room to be cleaned again, but it was not fixed. There was women’s hair on the shower walls before any of us either showered. Our safe was broken and we needed someone to come up and fix it our toilet clogged after putting a little bit of toilet paper in it. When I went to the front desk, they took $50 off of my bill but honestly, I would never recommend this place and I would certainly never return.

Third time at this hotel and i really love it
- 5/5
Pool at Captiva was not heated so made for a cold swim. Couch in our room was very uncomfortable and tv connection was not great.
- 2/5
very unhappy about all the hidden fees that basically doubled price of room that was expected
- 5/5
Property was clean, views were amazing and staff was friendly and accommodating. The resort offered multiple dining options and everything we ate was freshly prepared. We enjoyed the spa service as well. There are still some minor repairs to be completed (ie Tennis court surface and sporting complex in general) from Hurricane Ian but overall we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend. We truly enjoyed everything and would definitely go back.
- 4/5
Clean room, friendly staff, good food, great view of sunset
- 5/5
Bath room needed a deep clean.
- 4/5
Breakfast menu was fresh. Would be nice to have variety/ the hostel was beautiful and kid friendly. Restaurants on site were average
- 4/5
Last observation with a bad review is the SPA. This SPA should extend their schedule as well as their staff. It is overrated for the price, attention and staff.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Wonderful food. Great location.
- 4/5
Coffee shop should have longer hours as well as somewhere to get a snack to eat off hours. Music at the pool was too low key, live music would be great as well as offering some entertainment in the evening.

I was overall unimpressed with our stay here. The view from our room was beautiful but besides that, I know I wouldn’t stay there again. We are a family of 4 and we had a one bedroom king suite. There were no linens for the pull out mattress, it took forever to get them delivered to the room to the point where we called again, which prompted another knock on our door 45 minutes later with more bedding. Our king mattress was hard as a rock and the pillows were flat. Terrible night sleep. The lobby looks nice but our room just felt dirty. There was broken glass in the hallway leading to our room, a window was cracked in the living room area of our room and everything had been painted over very poorly. For the dollar amount they charge for a suite I expected a lot higher standards.
- 5/5
Great views from our room and the food was amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel!!
- 4/5
We stayed in one of the other towers and it was OK, but not as nice as the main building. Plan accordingly.
- 3/5
Had dirty old underwear in our room
- 4/5
Great staff, helpful when our TV was not working. Pool is warm during cold weather. Off site indoor swimming. Very expensive. Added fees of parking and resort fees which we were unable to use due to weather. Bathroom had some mold around sink faucets.

- 5/5
Drinks at resort pricey $18 wine. Excellent accommodating staff. Alex, Diane & Cindy at front desk so helpful and friendly. Downside : Restrooms not located on main pool level. One is up stairs or lobby and other at second pool . Hot water in sink smelled like sulfur. Swap Area around pool has definite odor. ***Resort fee $35 plus $5 taxes, per day . Self Parking $25 , Valet $35 per day . So that is about $65-$70 a day beside room. ***
- 4/5
No boat rides. Mini-fridge shelf rail on door missing; fridge cabinet cracked; lamp plug receptacles too weak to power BiPap. Maid skipped room one day and almost next. Staff great. Esp valets.
- 5/5
Great place to stay!
- 5/5
The beach by the lighthouse was very nice if you want a less crowded option. We didn’t make use of the tennis, Pickleball or basketball courts or spa but they are available. They also have bicycles that you can use on the property. There is also a casual restaurant in walking distance that is worth a try. It is just before the entrance of the resort.
- 4/5
Outside areas were not as clean as could be
- 4/5
The view and the staff as well as the tennis courts and free bike use Outside areas were not as clean as could be

I was very disappointed with this stay. My husband and I booked this hotel to celebrate his birthday, and before arriving I contacted the hotel to confirm some details. Unfortunately, when we arrived none of the things we discussed were done. I spoke with the front desk, but they did not offer any real solution or help. Considering this was a special occasion and the price we paid, the experience did not meet our expectations at all. I have stayed in many hotels before and I expected much better service. Please note: This hotel's website advertises it is on the beach and other beaches are a 12 minute walk. This is not true. There is no beach and you must drive to the closest beach.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel with plenty of amenities. We had an ocean front view watching beautiful sunsets over the Gulf over Sanibel Island!
- 5/5
The room view was wonderful and the room was large. The beds were very comfortable.
- 4/5
Otherwise the staff were great, and quick.
- 4/5
Would not recommend. For the positive, we did have good customer service when I had to challenge the bill because the previous guest's bar bill was put on our room. Also, the view was nice, looking at the harbor. Noise from the bridge is loud when on the balcony but you cannot hear it when the door is closed. Several issues were noted with broken or poorly maintained areas in the room and elevators. Worst was the Tarpon House restaurant - we walked out after more than an hour with no service beyond drinks, and that was after hunting down a host who was MIA for more than 10 minutes. We watched it happen over and over as more people arrived and stood in the doorway with no assistance.
- 3/5
Unfortunately we had the unpleasant experience of staying at the Captiva Tower. So, no the pool was not enjoyable because of the sewer smell coming from the parking lot. I spoke to management and they did apologize for the lack of service, amenities and cleanliness of Captiva Tower and did refund some of our money. So, staff are great at the front desk.
- 1/5
Room and it is ina swamp. Low died stinks. Way over priced. Sprinklers from the well left spots on the car that we haven’t gotten off yet.
- 5/5
Room cleaning each night. Friendly staff. Lived the pool with live music.
- 3/5
The property was nice. I had no idea we would be staying in a separate building away from the main building. The main pool was nice. The staff in the bar area in the evening were amazing. My biggest complaint is that the out side of our building and our room smelled of sewage. We complained to the front desk and they did not have anywhere else they could move us to. They were also aware of the smell and said it was because the fish all died in the swamp area with the cold weather the week before. They had house keeping come and freshen up our room but it did not take the smell away. We could not enjoy our balcony or open the door to help with the smell. Was disappointed in our stay overall.
- 5/5
Great view
- 5/5
Great room, lovely teaort
- 5/5
Lovely place with friendly staff and plenty of amenities to suit all.
- 4/5
Wonderful staff, great amenities, but very few options for dining. A few different places to eat at the resort but they share a lot of the same menu and it was very expensive.
- 2/5
Staff was friendly but the room was rather outdated and located too far from main amenities.
- 5/5
Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Hallways a little dated. Staff were very friendly. A lively spot on the water.
- 3/5
The room/ bathroom was dated. Areas of deferred maintenance evident in the bathroom. Food was mediocre, but crazy expensive. Overall, the location was nice but it is definitely not a resort we would consider returning to.
- 2.5/5
Wonderful view Comfy beds Friendly and very accommodating staff but casual dining restaurant definitely needed more staff Bathroom sink would not drain so it was impossible to run the water for any length of time, even to just brush my teeth. Our room door had no lock on it. There was a knob but no lock, only the piece that went across the inside knob. Got in the shower without any soap because there was a bottle labeled shower gel, however no gel in the bottle. Each time I called guest services, I had to make sure they knew it was room 584 calling and not 575 because the phone was labeled incorrectly. Front desk explanation was 584 phone probably didn't work and someone just took 575 so 584 would have a phone Arrived at 6:20pm; check in time was 4:00; our room was not ready; luggage brought up only after (2) requests Seemed odd that the coffee, sweets bar closed at 2:00pm except on weekends
- 3/5
The restaurants were totally over priced for food and drinks.
- 5/5
The amenities are on point! Beautiful place to stay right on the water. We saw dolphins as we sat by the pool. We highly recommend and would love to stay there again.
- 4/5
The rooms and the view are nice. For the price I was surprised at the few amenities. For almost $600 per night per room I expected bigger rooms with something more than a mini-fridge. A microwave for snacks would be nice. The pools and hot tub were quite nice.
- 3/5
Self park and valet were about the same price. Not enough lounges in pool area.
- 3/5
Hotel was nice bad disappointed for all these fees- it seems like you should just be honest and include these in the nightly fee. “Convenience fee”. Was not at all convenient for me!
- 3/5
The room was in good condition and the staff was friendly. I felt the cost and fees of our stay were high for what it was. I didn’t feel paying for parking was fair and then all the added daily resort fees after paying 1,200.00 for 2 nights.
- 3/5
There manager nick at the front desk was very passive aggressive. To the staff and guests. We had heat running in our room for 3 days before we realized why it was so hot in there and we were unable to sleep. Only 2 elevators were running and we mentioned it to Nick in the way it as we were late for our Uber and ended up having to walk down the flights of stairs with our luggage so we wouldn't lose our can. I heard Nick say as my spouse told him the elevators were super slow and he turned to another guest and said well it's a busy weekend what does he expect and rolled his eyes. Very unprofessional and not ok. There was a guy waving cars in the pick up and he was the kindest and happiest person. Also your wait staff is amazing as well. Lastly the info on the internet for your hotel says white sand beach onsite.... That is not actually true and I felt very decieved as I wanted to be on the actual beach where your can wade in. I would not have stayed there if I know what the"beach" really was.
- 5/5
All, best time ever staff was outstanding
- 3/5
The rooms felt a bit small and fairly standard. The water views are nice, although the balconies are also on the smaller side. That said, I found the bed very comfortable and the shower was great. I did feel a little disappointed as I was expecting a larger room based on my booking. Breakfast was good overall. One thing to note is that most restaurants and attractions require a drive, as there isn’t much within close walking distance, which can be a bit of a hassle at times.
- 4/5
Nice room and perfect location
- 5/5
Resort was very nice. Gym needs more cleaning. Bar staff very gracious. Front desk staff courteous. Valet-all staff outstanding!!
- 1/5
The room didn’t get serviced, the sink was clogged, and a construction crew woke us up at 630 am
- 2/5
Room had a lot of issues. Urtains had dozens of huge rips, fire warning light fell on our head in the bathroom, facilities came to the room without notice, breakfast had bugs in it, sheets had blood on it and lot of stains.
- 1/5
We were given a room in another building where there was no staff. Our keys did not work, had to drive back to the main building, given another room in the off site location, no heat, the temp was 40 degrees outside. Froze all night. No apologies, no sympathy. Left the next day, never going back. Nearly $500 wasted.
- 5/5
Our balcony had the best view of Sanibel Island and Harbour.
- 5/5
Love this location - staff was so helpful and it's close to RSW !!
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Staff was very nice. A problem we had was their were 4 of us in the room and trying to get 4 towels and washcloths was a hard task, also coffee in room.

Awesome view
- 5/5
Beautiful view wayching the dolfins swim.staff took a picture of us under christmas tree
- 3/5
Door to room sticks and very loud. Woke everyone up when opening or closing the doors. Popcorn on floor. We didn’t have any popcorn while we were there. Poor service in one of the restaurants. Food took forever to get and was not very good. Overcooked fish for a premium price. Store staff was unavailable when we wanted snacks.
- 5/5
Beautiful view from our room. Staff was courteous, friendly. Convenient access to sanibel. No real beach.
- 4/5
Positives: location - right before sanibel causeway , 2 pools, not many “rules and regs” like other resorts where you have to pay for lost towels, tip umbrella guys, etc - mini beach area was a bonus, very easy/ casual check in and service Things needing improvement- furniture/decor in rooms was worn/ old, bathroom although large size needs a fan and updating, had to ask for housekeeping
- 1/5
This is not a four star hotel. The lobby is modern and relatively well maintained but the two different 1 bedroom suites we were taken to were both substandard. The hallways were dark and dingy and badly painted with with various old and rickety service carts in the hallway. The rooms had one switched light, then you have find your way in the semi darkness to turn on lamps which didn't do much to light up the room. The first room had someone's fingernails and quite a bit of dust behind the nightstand. Also something that looked like a bug to us but the staff claimed it was some kind of discarded plastic garbage. The second room, on the opposite end of the floor had a large and disgusting looking ant trap behind the bed and more dust. The furnishings were very low grade. I would say this hotel should be rated at 2.5 stars based on the hallways and room condition. Now the staff were nice and tried to help us, but this place needs serious renovation to be considered 4 star. We made the mistake of booking thru hotels. Com. The night manager told us to have the booking site call them and they would reverse the charges. We did that, but no one from the hotel every responded tohotelshotelsbooking site. So we had to leave
- 4/5
Great view from mini suite. Only real issue is self-parking is a nightmare. If you don't mind $35 per day plus tips, use the valet parking. The quality and presentation of the buffet breakfast is not on par with the rest of the facility, which is beautiful!
- 5/5
Property is beautiful.
- 5/5
The location is amazing and the view is unbelievable! Our room was overlooking the main pool and water. We couldn’t have asked for any better. It’s also super convenient to jump over to Sanibel.

The staff was so welcoming and kind. Upon arrival, Frank welcomed me warmly, and upon departure, Nelson was equally kind. The front desk staff and restaurant personnel were wonderful as was the food I enjoyed there. It was a relaxing week at the hotel and its beautiful setting on Sanibel.
- 4/5
Clean room. pleasant staff.
- 5/5
Great stay, lovely helpful guy on the front desk with great recommendations. Beautiful room overlooking the ocean.
- 2/5
The location wasn’t on sanibel island and there was no walking beach
- 5/5
My only negative is that there is no option for coffee until 7:00. So being an early riser, that was disappointing.
- 2/5
I was eaten alive by mosquitoes. Ordered a pizza to the room and got delivered to the wrong room, them the kitchen was closed. Ants in the bathroom and the housekeeper didn't clean the bathroom. As a bonvoy member, I am very disappointed with this stay.
- 5/5
It is a beautiful resort! It had everything, dining , pool, very relaxing. The staff and rooms were incredible.
- 5/5
The staff was AWESOME!! They are what make the Marriott great.
- 4/5
The property is well maintained and beautiful. Having one washer and dryer for the entire 11 floor hotel during a baseball tournament is insufficient. There was a consistent line with one instance of someone taking out wet laundry from the dryer to put theirs in to dry. Definitely need more machines if you are hosting baseball teams.

What a beautiful property! We were more than satisfied with our stay. We were there for a conference and didn't get to enjoy much of the amenities, but we will definitely be back for a vacation!

This is mu second time at this property and I can get enough of this amazing place. Staff is super attentive and friendly, the views are breathtaking, you can even watch the most beautiful sunsets from your balcony. Is peaceful and you can see dolphins from the pool area. Recommend 100%

- 3/5
The view from our room was beautiful and the pool is great. The room was clean and large. However the food was not great. Also there was a $25 per night resort fee charged on top of the room charge. And parking was expensive. $20 per day to self park or $30 for valet.

The Hotel was good and the staff so nice, just I don’t like the Captiva tower the reception and the pool area needs to be updated .

Property is great and so is the staff
- 4/5
Liked the views, pools, and staff. Nice place for kids.
- 4/5
There is no beach as advertised in the hotel and Expedia pictures. The price goes up $30 a day because is a resort. Valet parking $25 daily. Restaurant menus were nothing special.
- 4/5
Nice and clean
- 3/5
Rooms smell like smoke, also sheets we dirty and stained
- 5/5
We had a really good time, enjoyed the views and food but we think the hotel needs more activities or things to do because it can be a little boring for young people, maybe other kind of music or something like that , but overall was good
- 5/5
We had a great time we will come back again for sure.
- 4/5
Quiet - absolutely beautiful views, sunsets!! Beautiful pool area - good food!
- 5/5
The whole staff especially Cindy was absolutely Awesome

Outdated and smelly.

Love this hotel

Most staff was very friendly & helpful. The fine dining restaurant had good menu, excellent food, staff. Pool bar closed at 5 My family's biggest issue was we had left one hotel, moved over to here for a weeklong vacation. Little did we know that all the restaurants closed early or were not open at all. Plus several amenities that were advertised on the website were not actually available on the resort. I was very annoyed because I had called Marriott asking questions about some of the amenities prior to our arrival and it was never revealed that they did not actually have these services anymore. We were happy to be able to see the sunset from this hotel and the convenient location. However, I know my family was disappointed that this resort did not have as many amenities and the restaurants were closed early. Despite the fact it was July. If this information had been revealed to me, we probably would not have come to the hotel at this time or had a shorter visit. It's a nice region and explored the area. After the vacation, my family had revealed that they wish we had spent our whole vacation at the first resort in Port Charlotte.

Good people working there. They find out I have a birthday and surprised me with lava cakes on breakfast and dinner.
- 4/5
Ok

Property was quiet without a lot of staff. Due to the 2022 storm plantings were not as beautiful as they could have been. Limited restaurants on the property but plenty of choices if you rent a car. Rent your car from the airport. It was cheap and easy and it saves you the shuttle fee. Research where to purchase cheap chairs and an umbrella for the week.
- 5/5
It as a one night stay on our way to Tampa, FL.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and friendly. The hotel was clean and the view was amazing
- 3/5
My family and I have stayed at this property about 3 times over the last 5-6 years and while the staff is fantastic, the property is now in need of serious investment and updating. It is starting to look terribly worn.
- 5/5
Amazing staff, clean. Beautiful view. Fun pool!!

Ants in bathroom and on desk near bed, A/C didn't work properly, and TV did not work at all when I arrived.

This is a phenomenal resort/hotel. I can't speak to the spa side because we didn't make it that far but the staff at this resort were very friendly. They offer 24 hour valet which is nice (I personally saved 10 bucks a day and just used self parking since it is right next to the entrance anyway). We chose to rent a "waterfront" room and I can't complain. The views were beautiful. Our room over looked Sanibel island. We could see dolphins from our balcony daily. This resort is at the base of the bridge to take you to the island on the ft myers side. The on-site food is good. The drinks were good. The rooms were very clean. This is one of the nice hotels in the area hands down. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip in to town. It's only about 15 minutes to Ft. Meyers Beach, 20 minutes to Cape Coral, 1.5 hours to the everglades, 5 minutes to Sanibel and 30 minutes to the airport.

Wouldn't diffently recommend.

Everything and everyone was fabulous every day of our 7 day stay.
- 4/5
Very nice facility, staff was great, items in the room need attention, drapes, lampshade. Otherwise great
- 5/5
Hotel was great. Spectacular views. Rooms were huge. Have to pay for valet parking. Self parking is very small and usually always full. Other parking lot seemed like a mile away. Opt for valet.
- 4/5
Older dated building still recovering from hurricane impact
- 5/5
Great for a weekend getaway
- 5/5
Staff went over and above to make our stay a fantastic time.
- 1/5
The pool area was nice and had ocean view. However the room was not cleane. There was a big blood stain on bedframe. There was also stwin on carpet. My children and I woke up with big welts on arms and legs. I was highly disappointed with this marriog hotel. I will never stay here again or recommend anyone due to room cleanliness. Its old and nothing luxurious or nice about it.

An amazing property. Friendly staff.

Nicely located!

We had a great time during the weekend. Planning to go again. We were so lucky to have a room with a wonderful view !

The staff was amazing! Lots of food options as well:

When we first arrived we were given a room in the Captiva tower. What was described as a water view was a parking lot and natural area. The Captiva tower has its own pool but is almost a half mile from the main building, restaurants, pool bar, etc. When we went back to the front desk at the main building, they offered to move us into a queen room in the main building with a much better location and view.
- 4/5
It was good
- 4/5
The pool and hot tub was very spacious with a waterfall which was relaxing also
- 5/5
Since day one all staff were professional, caring & very attentive. Odalys the cleaning lady very sweet and caring. Great job taking care of all the needed items in the room. Asta the pool bartender was extremely friendly and sweet. Great experience overall. Thank you.

I have been traveling to Sanibel for 30 years. I never stayed at this resort and regret it! The staff were the most incredible, caring, personal, accommodating I have ever met. The pools are kept in fantastic shape. Everything was so clean. We happened to stay there while there was a large wedding, and did not interrupt our treatment or guest services. They have a great little shop in the hotel that has things from gifts, clothing, snacks to sunscreen! Cute little coffee shop. A restaurant that you can have them bring you your breakfast or eat on the balcony or a beautiful indoor area. They have another restaurant that is open until about midnight for late night drinks where you can sit overlooking the water or at the bar watching sports. Great bar tenders, great every employee. Special thanks to the manager Chris and the staff that has worked there for more then 20 years! See you again soon as they make you feel so welcome! Fantastic for the price as well! Not expensive! Loved our time there!
- 1/5
They over charged me 2 times for almost $1200 and had to call them for 9 days to get my money back. And the room had toilet issues and piss ants everywhere
- 5/5
Reaort was gorgeous. If you want relaxation this is it. I just personally dont believe if youre a private traveller ( not a corporate traveller) you should not have pay parking per night and a resort fee for extras like spa and courts etc. some people just like to relax on vacation and not be running 24/7 I just think that should be an option. Besides that goegeous, great food service pool views. 5 mins over bridge to sanibel and captiva. A+ would recommend for a relaxing getaway.
- 5/5
Excellent!!.. we really apreciatte they kind attention and professional service.. ou
- 4/5
Staff was courteous and attentive. The room was spacious and clean. Property is still recovering from hurricanes. Convenient location, good restaurants on property.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 5/5
CLEAN, NOT CROWDED, COURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY STAFF,,, MAIN DINING WAS TERRIBLE... STEAKHOUSE WAS GREAT... DRINKS WERE A BIT EXPENSIVE AT THE POOL... WE WILL STAY AGAIN.
- 4/5
Great location and value. Clean comfortable rooms. Food & drink prices are high, but that's the norm for any beach side resort. Shower pressure in very low. Would book again.

Considering the Marriott brand, I had higher expectations for our stay, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing for both me and my family. The hotel consists of two towers, and we were assigned to the one called “Captiva.” Our initial impression was quite negative—the tower appeared neglected, with a pervasive odor of dampness and age throughout. The in-room television was not functional upon our arrival, and it took two service calls before someone came to fix it. Entertainment options were extremely limited, with the only available activities being swimming in the pool or watching TV. Moreover, the tower lacked essential amenities such as a bar, cafeteria, or restaurant. To access any food or beverages, we had to take a hotel trolley to the other tower, which was inconvenient and detracted from the overall experience. The one redeeming aspect of our stay was the restaurant service in the main tower, where we enjoyed breakfast on two occasions. The staff there provided excellent service, which was a bright spot in an otherwise underwhelming and costly two-night stay.
- 5/5
The hotel was near everything we wanted to do
- 4/5
The property is divided into two separate buildings. We ended up in captiva tower which is a building away from main building with all the shops and restaurant but over all the hotels have golf carts that shuttle you to and from.
- 5/5
The facilities are beautiful with 3 pools, restaurants, a gym and minutes to Sanibel Island beaches. The quality of service stands out as one of the best experiences we've encountered. Management was professional yet personable and accommodating. The many staff we encountered were very friendly and attentive to our needs. Our room overlooking the pool along with the waterfront views were stunning. The room was cleaned daily. I just cant express how great this stay turned out to be for both of us. We now have a wonderful anniversary memory and look forward to many more stays in the future.

Weekend stay for a family wedding. Spacious room with two balconies for relaxing. Beautiful property with amazing views- Dolphins swimming in the water, yoga classes. Beaches and points of interest within driving range. Some details - no lotions and adequate daily fresh towel replacement need attention.
- 5/5
The pool area is the best, perfect sun, food and drinks. Hot tub, umbrellas and lots of lounge chairs. Great resort.
- 5/5
Beautiful property, lovely room with amazing water views. staff so friendly- Asta at the pool and Nick the hotel manager very attentive. Wonderful spa experience with Gin too.
- 5/5
Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Nick was at the check in desk. He was very cordial and knowledgeable. Tom and Nelson were the valet attendants. They too, we’re full of helpful tips.
- 5/5
Service was amazing! Staff was kind and aware of our needs! Great hotel!
- 5/5
The staff is super friendly, the food options were delicious and we enjoyed the drinks at the bar too!

The toilet in the bathroom was very old and didn’t flush properly. Maintenance had to come to our room twice during a two day stay.

Great Hotel if you are looking for relax and calmness!!!!
- 1/5
They did not explained on their website that they have two towels and the only one that you can see o. The pictures is the main one . The other one it’s not the same not even close
- 3/5
Take note - this property is not in a beach as stated on Hotels.com - its water front. Pier has not been fixed since hurricane. Did not like living in “other upgraded tower” - nothing upgraded about it and rooms need change of carpet inclusive of replacement of rusted fixtures in the showers. Resorts fee is ok - but 20.00 for self parking outside with huge signs stating NO RESPONSIBILITY is a bit much. It’s not the money - but seem like a double standard. This property really has potential once they put it together - at the moment it feels post hurricane. Staff is very good and accommodating - property needs improvements. if you go stay in the main building !
- 1/5
Unfortunately, this stay was probably my worst one with Marriott. Hotel is very old, impossibly bad sound isolation, bad food
- 4/5
The bartenders and wait staff were great by the pool. Still a lot of hurricane damage out by the water we weren’t made aware of during booking.
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly. Hotel was very clean and the pool areas and dining accommodations were great!
- 4/5
Only disappointment was that the hotel is not in Sanibel. It is located on the other side of the causeway, which you need to hit at off hrs or your in traffic for almost an hour to get back to hotel. We got stranded in Sanibel for dinner due to Ubers not wanting to pick you up and bring you back. No problem getting over the causeway from the Marriott but cant get back. Thank god for some very nice people who dined at the same restaurant and drove us back! Otherwise good stay!
- 3/5
Our room smelled because of the carpets not being cleaned also an upholster chair in the room was dirty too. Looks like they did not vacuum our room before we checked in because there were a lot of debris on the carpets. Waited a long time for our room to be cleaned the next day and pool area was really dirty. People left their empty cups and dishes everywhere.
- 5/5
Great hotel with the friendliest staff! Had a room with the ocean view (upgrade) and saw beautiful sunsets from our balcony. Pool was also very nice, plus you can get complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas to take to the beach.
- 5/5
I really enjoyed staying here! Definitely recommend it. Hopefully will be coming back to stay in this beautiful hotel!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were so nice, the rooms were clean and well laid out, the restaurants were great and the pool and beach areas were perfect.

Great facility, Beautiful place

Things I didn’t like: No entertainment. The pool bar needs more friendly bartenders. For the price of drinks the quality should be as high as the cost. Ie: the mix you use for pina coladas is awful. One of the worst I’ve ever had. The alcohol content in the drinks is almost non existent. The server taking orders at the pool couldn't remember who ordered the drinks . The housekeeping of our room was less than acceptable. We had to call two days in a row to have our room serviced. The waste basket in the bathroom was emptied but the one in the main part of the room, which was full, wasn’t emptied. The tissue box was empty . One toilet tissue roll was empty . There were no spares left in the room. The shower had a weak output while the sink had extremely high water pressure. While we were in the pool. A towel attendant had moved our lounge chairs and personal belongings to another area of the pool without our knowledge. My sister in law was frantic as her purse with her wallet, cash & id was taken with the chairs. His reason was that the chairs were blocking the way. That was not true because the chairs were placed where we were, by a staff person. We were there for hours . Thankfully when we found where he placed them our personal belongings were still there. They could easily been taken. His lack of notifying us before moving our belongings is inexcusable. Very surprising & disappointing for a Marriott resort.

It was a great stay

Convenient

It was not the best experience, I feel I was stolen, paying more than $500 for a night in a suite, old full of dust outdated, paying for a good deal and receiving a just motel maybe 1 start luxury, it’s really sad. I wish want to take pictures of all details but I was so mad and feel so depress on my weekend scape feeling that I waste my money, my time and I can’t have what I expected that I forgot took those horrible pictures.
