River Valley Inn & Suites (Extended Stay)

To start when I booked the hotel they said there was breakfast and when I arrived they said they were building a restaurant, and that there was no breakfast being served, then on website it says they are pet friendly and when I arrived there was no pets allowed signs everywhere and nowhere in the description did it say I have to bring shot papers or have the tags on me and they gave me problems with that, then there deposit was overly priced for what that hotel was, then when I got to the room there was dead cockroaches on the ground, the floor was so dirty my feet were black, the bedding was itchy and had ticks and bed bugs I have picture proof and bites all over me and my friend and my dog, lights were flickering, everything was dirty, the employees were so disrespectful and refused a refund and it’s now been a full day and I have yet to receive my deposit back, overall worse hotel I have ever stayed at and a health inspector needs to go there asap and shut them down immediately!!!!

Place has some guts to rip off and screw there customers with a straight face. BBB and Health Dept will shut down this scam. They ask for. $100 deposit to pocket it basically. They claim u stained there very warn and poor quality bath and bed items. They admit it's budget friendly, pay for what you get. I agree. I expect the bed bugs, the outdated this and that. Hard as rock mattress, flat as a pancake pillow. What I don't expect is for them to charge you $77 for warm items that been used since the 80's. I knew to bring my own, do to them not giving you enough and poor quality at that. In return I was charged $77 for a warn out and signs of use through time for a flat sheet, fitted, pillow case, hand towel, wash cloth and shower towel for which there wasn't one to begin. Low end price for all would be around $37, $51 for the luxury versions. They keep your deposit and using it for there personal gain.

The price was ok what I didn't like was they didn't replace towels daily then charged me 40 bucks from my deposit for unclean towels when I inquired about it the lady said the stains wouldn't come out the towels I told her she needed to wash the towels she said tried to rinse them out which made no sense to me at all in all I feel cheated out my deposit money and would recommend nobody staying here at all

The entire atmosphere was just dirty shady and people occupying the other rooms on the property were outside drinking being loud in parking lot others were seen at local businesses hustling people and seen walking to and from the river valley inn and suites and those people looked and acted like they were on drugs dragging a child around bumming food from McDonald's and Taco Bell being loud cussing and making a mockery of themselves and the river valley inn and suites. But I see that's the type of people they have there and want there and if you are from out of town they will scheme and rob you and them make up false accusations that are proven untrue and then threaten and call the police on you when they're in the wrong. The gangs was there I got stabbed It was too many thugs, drug dealers, and gangs there I wind up getting stabbed and having to have three stitches in my side

The staff were super friendly, the bed was extremely comfortable, and given the area it wasn't as bad as one might think! The floor was kind of creaky and would occasionally pop and make loud noises.

Rooms not very clean

Not a hot tub there and the place was nasty and we had too bring our own cleaning supplies and they guy took our money and put it in his pocket wouldn’t give the rest of our deposit back because the towns was dirty bc we put it in the floor and it already had stains on it and nothing was cleaned a lot of roaches and bugs

The room was nasty, the shower was dirty, pretty sure there was crap on the side of my toilet, not to mention all the problems had while trying to check in. Will not be going back here!

Could not have been any worse. Never ever ever ever stay here. It is an embarrassment to the state of Arkansas.

I thought it was suspicious when it said no refunds when I was booking online. I thought it was suspicious when everywhere else I've ever been they ask for my debit card for deposits. But they never charged me a deposit when I handed them my card. This place immediately charged me $100 when I checked in. There is no coffee pots in the rooms nor any available in the lobby. And the lobby has no AC. There was slanderous notes in the lobby against customers by name. There were threatening notes all over the hotel everywhere I looked including in my room tacked to the wall. The shower curtain was putrid looking. It looks like they furnished the room from stuff they found on the side of the road. The floors were dirty and not mopped. The bed had shredded plastic dragging on the floor they had plastered an adjoining door with the hinges still visible and painted over ever outlet cover in the room. I videotaped the condition of the room when I arrived immediately also. There was no housekeeping of any sort the entire 4 days I was there even after I asked about housekeeping. I was charged $58 for a blue ink stain on a towel and for washcloths being dirty with dirt. APPARENTLY YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO USE THE WASHCLOTHS OR TOWELS. BEWARE AND DONT GO THERE.

There is no reference of a 100$ deposit on site, but lady at front insisted there was so had to pay an extra 100$ . There is mold in bathroom all over walls and ceiling, stained sheets on bed and open electric wires sticking out of the wall. I do not recommend anyone staying here untill the rooms are fixed.

The property needs to be remodeled the sheetrock is peeling water damage bugs coming out of the drains none of the rooms are as pictured on the website

There is no icemaker in the premises. The overall shape of the buildings was a bit run outdated. The door of our hotel room was hung crooked whichl ooked bad and let extra light into the room from the hallway. The bathroom tile and paint looked like it was left halfway completed. Everytime a guest would shut the door to their room, it would echo down the hallway and the sound would travel loudly right into our room. Because the price was so inexpensive and the staff was so friendly, I would still consider staying here again.

Completely horrible we didn't get to stay because we didn't have the money for security deposit which we didn't know that we needed until we got there we had to stay in our car with our 2 yr old granddaughter

Awful stay. Avoid at all cost. The business is a racket. When i arrived i was told i have to pay another hunnit plus (it wont less me say the three digit amount)cash on top of what was already paid. The place had the smell of bodily fluids when you walk in the front.

This was my first hotel I have booked myself, it was simple and the front desk people were nice and helpful. The room was mostly clean, inside the trash cans were dirty and needed a desperate scrub. There was also something on the floor near the bed and something melted onto the dresser infront of the tv. There was a bottle cap in a dresser drawer. The bed was okay but the pillows are hard and the toilet paper was rough and thin. The shower head is fixed to the wall, presser was okay but it was on blast mode and had to figure out how to change it to be more gentle. Temperature in the shower was also good. One lamp by the bed had no bulb and was loose fitting. It was nice and quiet and a good amount of space

Cockroaches everywhere and the had enough balls to charge for the pest.

Mainly sleeping only. Had 1 cockroach and a very slumpy bed. The room was fairly clean with just 1 bad spot. Saved $20 based on other area hotels so I was happy in the end.

Website said pet friendly so we stopped to stay there . Nowhere on website did it have restrictions. The girl at front desk was rude and said we had to have vaccine records and a kennel to keep our dog in (again nowhere on this website). She had 3 dogs running loose in the lobby. We did not stay here!

This was just a cheap place to crash. Nothing fancy. I did see a bug. No big deal.

This is a place for the local down and out. Not for the average person for a regular night. Infestation of roaches extremely run down stains on every linen live bugs in the bed. And I still didn’t get a refund and we were there 15 mins before we got quickly out of there. The girl that checked us in was very very sweet

A friend was going on a trip and graciously offered to bring me along and get me a room. If I knew in advance this place would be so filthy, I would have paid my own way.

Very dirty. I took a shower and when i put my shoes on, my feet were black. Food left in the refrigerator. Not sure if they changed the sheets. Things had not been wiped down.

It's not a fancy dancy hotel. But it is a place to lay your head after a long day. Beds were very comfortable. New fridge in room. Older hotel could use a lot of updating, but over all I got a good 9 hours of sleep and a hot shower.

Very helpful and friendly staff, very respectful even though I was visiting as a foreigner. The floor in my room was a little dirty but nothing too bad, for a budget hotel in a rarely visited city in a rarely visited state it wasn't too bad.

Everything was horrible.

Room had exposed spliced wires on lamp. Popcorn ceiling in bathroom falling down. Wifi password didn't work. Cable was out at 9:30pm. When husband looked at box, a roach climbed out on his hand. Didn't stay the 2nd night.

Bed was comfortable but the stinch of marijuna was terrible had to put a towel at the foot of the door to keep it out.

The staff is very friendly, but that was the only positive I can give this place. First, the site didnt say they charged a deposit of 100. Secondly, the room was is severe disrepair. There was a huge hole in the wall, the tub was...scary. If this is all you can afford im so sorry.

Room was a lot worse than I anticipated. Renovations appear to be in progress, but speeding up might help. The surrounding area is very sketchy and I was concerned about my car in the parking lot all night. Left very early just to get out of there.

The room was not clean. Dirty underwear left in the room. Floor was filthy. No water pressure. Lots of hair left in bath tub. Charged 20 dollars for the usage of towels. Rude narcissistic worker named madison.

The building is old and is being remodeled at the time, but I know it used to be a three star hotel when I lived in the area. It is in the south side of town which historically is safer than the north side so I decided to give it a try and I’m glad l did. I have back issues so firm mattresses cause me pain but that was not the case here. I actually wanted to stay in bed longer. Also Miss Anna’s has the best breakfast you can find in this area and is less than a block away so you can walk there. I will gladly stay here next time. It will be nice to come back and see what they do about the bathtubs which are the only thing that I would say I hope they replace.

Horrible place to stay I travel 5 days a week and this is hands down the worst motel iv been in unfriendly staff dirty junk piled up all over the hallways and lobby everything is stained and just all around unpleasant and definitely do not expect your deposit back

The first thing we noticed was big stains on the floor and what looked like snot stains on the wall. Water was good and hot but the tub drain didn’t drain very well. When we woke up the next morning there were roaches crawling on the wall. I can deal with a lot but

The room was dirty and there were roaches. The employees had driven all day the first one was showering when they found the roaches. They contacted their supervisor and sent pictures. There is a three step process for the company to escalate. The other employee showered not knowing if they would be moved. Their supervisor spoke to the person in charge and asked for refund once the company found out they were in one of the dirtiest places they had had the experience of staying in. Owner and manager said no because they had turned on the TV and showered. We offered to pay utilities but did not want to stay in a room that was roach ridden. Other areas of the hotel were also dirty, and not a place you would want to stay.

The room was supposedly recently updated. Bed was awful, sheets were dirty. No coffee maker. Hall was noisy. Door appears too small for the frame so light was coming in all night.

Looks like the motel is undergoing restoration. Some light bulbs missing and several lamps non functioning. Mattress was well worn and lumpy. Floor needed sweeping, several 'dust bunnys'. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Housekeeping needs to do a better job. Had trouble getting the heater to come on also. There wasn't a phone in the room either found that odd. The young lady at front desk was amazing though.

It was run down with mold growing on windows, shady looking dirty people playing gambling machines in the lobby. Bathtub flaking off porcelain. Mattress worn out.

Room was very dirty fridge was disgusting, so asked for a different room. They did move me to another room after calling a manager and asking for permission. 2nd room was a little better but tub was stained with black or just not cleaned very well and windows were still letting air in even though they were closed and were very dirty. Spend the extra money to get a better hotel. The only good thing was there were no bugs that i noticed.

This property is mixed in with apartments, so there's lots of traffic. The place is run down and over-priced. They make you pay a deposit when you check in. Even if you completely destroyed everything in the room, the cost wouldn't total the deposit!

I think I can say the only thing my family and I did not like is, it was a shower only. You couldn’t take a hot bath. So that was very disappointing. Other the that, the bed was comfortable to us, everyone is different. The pillows weren’t to bad but could use some fluff..

When I checked in and carried stuff to room there was no chair for the desk. I asked for a chair. Clerk called boss and they changed my room instead of getting a chair. Room wasn't super clean but OK. The road noise was very similar to being under an overpass. There wasn't noticeable noise from other rooms. The community coffee in the lobby is a vending machine. They don't have an ice machine. Not really bad for the price. The worst thing was the road noise.

Room was shoddy with drywall patches everywhere and smelled of mildew. No cup ice bucket ice machine. Had shady tweeker looking people going in and out all night long. Don't stay with your family if possible.

Made reservations online, paid, early afternoon of our stay. I don't book without checking all detiails, and also calling ahead to be sure a late check in (after midnight) is ok, given we were on day 6 of a 9 day cross ciuntry road trip. We tend to drive into the night with unexpected stops and such. No where was it written aate check in would be a problem. Upon calling, the male clerk said no issues since i was paying ahead of time. Got there nearing 1am. Male cleark stared straight through me, like he didnt care, when i presented my ID, Credit card, and email with my reservation confirmation and details and said "I can't take a reservation after mifnight ". I explained called earlier, checked on-line, paid already, and that we had been driving for 16 hours...he just stared through me and repeated he couldnt help me. I tried to understand, asking what my option was, and he said he could sell me a room now for $75. I asked for a number to call to dispute, he pointed at a sheet of paper on counter. Also plrase note this motel is very run down, appearing to also be in an unsafe area of town. We were out the money we paid earlier, given false information, and was provided zero help. He was very unfriendly, and tried over charging us just to sleep a few hours. Please beware when booking.

The girl at the front desk in the afternoon/evening was incredibly friendly and helpful. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Had to pay for the bracelet that gives access to the pool, but the pool was really nice, very big.

They told me I was going to have to put 100.00 dollar deposit down plus the room fee. I wouldn't get the deposit back until 3-5 business days later. This was not acceptable to me. I left and found another motel.

There was a $100 deposit I was not expecting. It is a pay by the week place that people live in with only 1 person on duty.

Couldn't get hot water to work right in the shower. Didn't care for hotel overall. Lots of cosmetic make over. You could look and tell.
