Affordable Suites Fredericksburg

The kitchen stove burners smoked and did not work properly. The room I intended on getting was a double bed but they gave me a king bed and said they didn’t have any double beds this time of year for me so that was disappointment as well. Staff was nice, but the room was just OK.

I love how the room is very spacious and I love how the property is so pretty very next to Walmart and near pools. It’s super cool. The only thing I did not like was that the bedsheets had hairs and pubic hairs as well in the bathtub, but otherwise everything was good.

Nothing. No breakfast the conditions of the room that I paid for were horrible. I stayed two nights and because it was such a short stay I did not seek other accommodations. A summary of the deficiencies are as follows: stain on the wall that appeared to be blood. Broken handle on the refrigerator. Stain on the ceiling. Both smoke detectors appear to be non-functioning as there were no lights illuminated. Visible crack in wall. Stain on the kitchen counter. Miscellaneous trash scattered about the grounds outside of the room door. Pistol magazine, located on the window shelf outside the room that appeared to be there for a very long time as it was covered in dust and dirt and debris. and when I first arrived, there was no one in the office and I was told by another guest that I should come back in 10 minutes. So I ran to Walmart to buy some items and came back and met with the hotel manager. This is without a doubt, the most disgusting and terrible room accommodation that I’ve ever experienced. Room 121.

I can't say anything bad about this place I've stayed there three times before I've never had a bad experience

It was very clean quiet and comfortable. The manager is the absolute best. I came after hours couldn't get my key to work She had no problem helping me get into my room. When I called to tell her what time I thought I would be there she was the nicest person, She was so sweet. I love this place so much I've already booked my next stay I can't say anything bad about this place I've stayed there three times before I've never had a bad experience

Wish the parking spots were a lil more spacious, but there was nothing to complain about.

Staff was nice, the suite was good for the price, and is located in a good area. The interios maybe a bit weathered, but the room is good for the cost.

Toilet flush didn't work. A bit shabby, blankets couch. Price was low so can't expect much. It was clean. Office closed at 6pm.

The room needed a number of lightbulbs(living room lamp and bedroom overhead). Otherwise, it was very adequate and the price and location was wonderful. Would definitely recommend.

The suites are nice with a separate bedroom, small kitchen and living area. It is right next to a Walmart supercenter and there are several fast food eating places within easy driving distance.

It was nice to be able to have the benefits of a suite for the comparable price of a standard hotel room. Great location with a Walmart Super Center within walkable distance and dining options nearby.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was really like a one bedroom apartment. I thought it was going to be like a studio. It was quiet and the staff were friendly. I would definitely stay here if I travel to Virginia again.

It has a spacious floorplan which gave the family room to stretch out. Great amenities. Only minor issue was that housekeeping missed a couple areas (previous guest left clothes in the drawers, deoderant under the chest of drawers)- yet no big deal b/c I wipe down/disinfect before we settle in. Pretty quiet and peaceful. Would stay again.

Once I spot the two roaches in my room, I didn’t want to give no stars

No one in the office during business hours. Found it strange to have to call a phone number for someone to unlock the office. Area a little sketchy and did not feel comfortable with people hanging out on balconies staring at you parking or walking. Extremely noisy throughout the night and into the morning with loud stomping noises overhead. Difficult to get a good nights sleep. On the plus side the room was clean and bathroom very nice and modern.

It's always quiet and clean and the manager Vickie is also very nice and accommodating as well. Definitely will be my preferred extended stay hotel.

Floor in bathroom are definitely not clean/swept and could see places where it wasn’t wiped down. Dead ant on bed and spare bed cover had a stain. Price was good and the staff was nice. If you are on a budget and prefer a kitchen this is okay.

Location was great. Food and shopping very close . Access to interstate was close. Quiet. Staff was nice and helpful. Clean.

Quiet place. Comfortable beds. Great price for a two week stay while finding permanent housing. A little outdated but the pros definitely outweigh the cons. Would recommend to friends and family visiting the area

It was very pleasant and cozey we made it home here for about three weeks. Loved this place..

All we required was a clean bed and bathroom.

Vickie was nice. I don't know about why people put up reviews of that she was mean and such. She is so sweet and loves to chit chat. Makes you feel like you're right were you need to be. I stayed for about 4 days did a lot of cooking in my full kitchen. It was convenient. They give you a tiny dish soap bottle. The only thing that I would say needs to change is that the staff who cleans. My significant other asked for another dish soap bottle and the staff there said, "Only this time." I mean it's a hotel, they should provide you with all you need, not saying to clean my room or anything, just needed extra dish soap. So it sounded weird that she was iffy about giving us that dish soap. That little bottle won't last you for 4 days and 5 nights. I'm sure if I asked Vickie it wouldn't of been a problem. Vickie provided me with clean towels when I needed them too. I don't like to re-use towels, I'm very OCD and clean with my stuff. I am like that at home too. It's just who I am and I'm not changing that because of an iffy staff. But overall the stay was great! I like how close by everything was to the hotel. It was beautiful. Thank you Vickie for making it feel like home! :)

Drug deals in the parking lot. People above our room up all night stomping around. Had to repair the toilet to use it. The room was definitely spacious although the matresses were a bit hard.

Amazing! Very clean and safe place for your family. Vicki was great and very understanding with my kids that had mental health issues. Would definitely recommend this place for any type of trip - short or extended. Thank you Vicki for everything!

Nice, quite location off Rt17

It was quiet and convenient in and out.

Our stay was quite pleasing, the Front desk was so very accommodating and helpful. The unit was clean, had everything available as listed. Many restaurants and stores nearby. Walmart is just across the street. Great area. Quite much traffic as a University and other business places are close by.

My friends and I were just so pleased with this place. We did not need a pricey hotel when we were going to be on the go the entire time. It was terrific having a kitchen and being able to have our own breakfasts every morning. There was also plenty of room and we loved the fact that there was DVD player so that we could enjoy our own movies. We will come again.

No frills, clean, comfortable,quiet room which is all we were looking for

The room was very dated and the bathroom was not clean. I was surprised to see there was no hairdryer provided. When interacting with the front desk, I found that the person was rude and not very accomodating.

The glass for the microwave door was completely gone. I didn’t feel safe using it. Although the room was none smoking it smelled bad. I’d venture to guess it’s from the amount of people smoking outside. The ash trays were full of cigarette butts. Pretty gross. This is geared to long term stays. Seems like there were several people who live there on a permanent basis. JMHO

This is a unique property. My husband and I have stayed at Affordable Suites a few times. When visiting Fredericksburg I look to see if there is availability here first. We enjoy having the kitchen and separate living room/kitchen space. Upgrades have been made since our first stay and are appreciated.

Hotel was great. Very helpful and friendly staff. My only issue was the sofa. It was a little worn and uncomfortable, but didn’t deter from the stay at all.

Wasn’t able to make the trip and tried to cancel but accidentally canceled insurance. Contacted customer service and they said since I had canceled the insurance one minute prior, I couldn’t get a refund or reschedule. I’ve learned an expensive lesson to choose a different site

We stayed in the middle of an upgrade to the facility. Our unit was not complete and still dirty. You can tell things were worn out and in disrepair. After a little cleaning, we felt a little better about staying. The location was fantastic for where we needed to be!

Clean and great value!

Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.

My room key was left taped to the office door with my name and room # on it which is major safety concern. The carpet was filthy and when I move the couch by a foot, there was food and trash everywhere. The bedding was stained and uncomfortable. The armchair has a broken leg and was never fixed during my stay.

We were a little skeptical because the price was so low, but we were pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet through our entire stay. The suites are located in a very quiet, uncongested area, but still close to I-95.

It was exactly what we were looking for in our short stay in Virginia. The environment and the room was exceptionally clean. There are no amenities, but again that’s not what we were there for. Our next trip back to that area, we will be staying at that location.

Large, one bedroom, apartment size suite which was very clean and fresh smelling. Two issues, one was dried remains of a smashed insect on the ceiling. Second was that the drain in bathroom sink did not work properly and had to prop it up to drain the sink. Paper towels/paper napkins were not provided for some reason and would have been useful especially if cooking anything. Coffee and condiments were provided. Plenty of clean fresh towels. Great TV channel line-up and smaller flat screen TVs found in living room and bedroom which were adequate. Comfortable and firm mattresses and very well- equipped kitchen. No hairdryer found in the room, however, do not know if one would have been available at the office since I did not ask. Very friendly staff. I would return to this hotel despite the few and somewhat minor issues.

Don't be fooled by other people's reviews and the pictures like I was. That's why the price of stay is soo cheap...go figure.

For the price it worked out well for us, but the suite is showing its age. And a little bit more dusting and vacuuming would have gone far. If you like to cook and prepare your own meals then this is the place.

Dog-friendly (with an additional charge)! The rooms were extremely spacious - with two couches in the living room alongside a kitchen - and clean. There was a lot of grassy space in front to walk the dog, as well as a little station for bags. Fantastic price for an amazing place!

Outside the property was dirty. Too much cigarettes smoking outside our suite. I was not given the suite that I made reservations for.

The setup is just as the picture a kitchen with stove, refrigerator, microware oven with a coffee maker. A Livingroom with a full bedroom I love the look and was very comfortable will be using Affordable Suites again.

My check in was simple and easy, the atmosphere at the hotel is very home like. The hotel room itself was very clean.

Would like to have got a ground floor as many seemed to be open but I didn't ask so that one's on me. Room was fine. Kitchen utensils were scarce but we made do. Again, I didn't ask for extra but the Manager was extremely nice and helpful. Kudos to her. Overall good experience.

Basic accommodations. No office on duty on weekends but you can reach them by telephone. The rooms are large and reasonably clean. The property is nonsmoking. Unfortunately, mine smelled like smoke and I found a cigarette butt hidden under a seat cushion. There was also food from a previous guest in the fridge. Despite these issues, I would stay here again.

Love the area. A return stay for us. Easy after hours check-in. Clean room and great kitchenette. The Only bad was, this rooms bed felt like we were sleeping on a springboard and not a mattress:( but we were too tired to really care.

Close to a Walmart and easy to drive to battlefields. A warm friendly welcome too at reception and from cleaning staff. Ample parking in front of rooms. The kitchen was not well equipped though e.g. only one pan and one frying pan and no kitchen roll. Overall though, it was fine.

It was a great location, within walking distance, to Mary Washington University and Walmart for supplies. Unit was spacious and comfortable. Good lighting outside, felt safe. Quiet.
