We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and courtesy of staff. The free breakfast was excellent!! Room was very clean and smelled fresh. Bed was very comfortable. Pool are was very well maintained. Absolutely will stay here again!!

Thr hotel has made.some great improvements since.my last trip in January. The outdoor seating area around the pool was nice and the pool was clean. The continental breakfast was nice. The staff was very helpful. When my next business trip takes me that way I would stay again.

Very accommodating staff and location. Timed features are perfectly timed as well given the extreme traffic conditions with Interstate 95 & DC area. A breakfast is available as early as 6 am.

This was is older property but very well maintained. Close to area shopping & restaurants. It’s very conveniently located off of interstate I - 95.

Wonderful staff, very helpful. The pool area was beautifully maintained and very clean. Had a large potty area for pups, lots of beautiful plants and flowers. Hot breakfast served 6-10am daily. Room was clean, beds very comfortable, great shower pressure and hot water! Will stop and stay here again. Thank you!

The first night there when we walked into the room the strong smell of weed was horrendous. We notified the front desk and yes he did offer us a different room, but when we checked in we were told we got the last 1st floor room. I cant climb stairs due to 2 severely herniated discs in my lower back. I wanted to make sure we would not be charged for the smell of weed in our room. He assured us we would not. He informed us that the next day he would have housekeeping come in and try to remove the smell. Never happened. 2nd night was worse. The smell was still there and we had no choice to but to live with it.

We would have liked to know it was a motel instead of a hotel. The pictures were very indecisive, almost deceptive.

The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. I called ahead because we were getting in after midnight and I felt comfortable that we would be taken care of. The woman at the front desk was ready and quick to get us in our room which was wonderful. We weren’t able to park right near the hotel because parking was booked but we were able to work safely in a store lot that connects to the hotel lot. The rooms were pretty clean but the toilet and shower were a little rough. Nothing worthy of complaining to staff about. The area was pretty rowdy but that is not the hotels fault. I would stay there again for a night or two.

The bed and bedding were extremely comfortable. I had arrived around 2 in the morning and the inn-keeper for the night was very accommodating. I was afraid that I had overslept because the morning was very calm and quiet. I wasn’t bothered by noise from the highway or other guests or staff.

I needed a last-minute quick overnight on my road trip up to Delaware. This hotel hit the spot. Clean rooms, not much commotion at night, and a nice breakfast setup in the morning. A nice overall stay.

The front desk people were very helpful, however the room we received had a mold smell coming from the heating unit so we changed rooms. The room was second floor at the end of the hotel and at night a massive light from nearby field was aimed directly at our room. It was so bright we couldn't sleep as even thru the curtains. Barely slept, won't stay there again.

The room was clean, probably could be a little better with upkeep, but all in all it was good, the bed was clean and comfortable. The staff was nice, I mean you could tell they were overwhelmed but it was graduation weekend at UMW, so they were fully booked and trying to please everyone the best they could. The breakfast was great, one of the best breakfasts from a hotel I have had in a long time! Parking is okay, hardly any handicap spots, so with my disabled nephew with me, we had to park fairly far from our room and it was quite difficult to get him and all the stuff to the room.

At checkin I was asked if I wanted fresh towels in the room or would I prefer to pick up towels at the front desk. I said I would like them in the room by housekeeping. I wanted housekeeping to provide them. So thats all they did, Nothing else! How stupid is that? Sorry we won’t return to this hotel again.

I travel a lot and I usually try to find hotels with free breakfast. I can tell you that this breakfast is the about the BEST I've ever had in ANY hotel!!

I thought Best Westerns were hotels not motels when booking, so was not what I expected when I got to the property. The shower drain was insufficient for the amount of water coming out of the shower head so the tub backed up. Overall just a bunch of small things that each individually wouldn't be a problem but were so numerous that I would not stay at this property again.

We stayed here for one night. We were very satisfied for what we paid for. If all you need is a place to sleep and shower at an affordable price this is it. Nothing super fancy, but had the essential basics. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the place even though it was an older building. The shower was hot, the air conditioner worked great, the beds were very comfortable and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was grab and go muffins, hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit. I was thankful for only a $20 pet deposit. Our room didn't stink of other animals or smoke. I would stay here again. The only negative thing I would say is the walls are thin. We heard our neighbors a lot.

Stayed one night. Upon arrival Preston at the front desk was very polite, informative, and accommodating when we asked if there was a ground floor room available. He seemed to genuinely care that we were informed and happy with our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. There was some improvement construction going on but only on off hours and it did not affect our stay. The improvements should be nice when completed. 24 hour coffee and breakfast in the morning was good. Would definitely stay again as it was a good value and a clean safe space to stay.

2nd time here. Came back b/c of the great breakfast bar, scrambled eggs, oatmeal toppings, so much available unexpected. This time a pancake bar was available. The room was great 2 beds. But I was sitting on the love seat near the heater and window and I saw a bug... The shower pressure and hot water excellent!... A little noisy on the 1st floor but I had an enjoyable stay. Slept well! I rarely watch TV but glad to tune in to TBS and watched Big Bang Theory.

When I requested an extra blanket the representative informed me that the hotel did not have any available, which was surprising and inconvenient. The room also had an unpleasant smell, and I found a piece of hair in the bathtub, which raised concerns about cleanliness.

Clerks were nice. The room was fine. Liked the cushioned chair next to the lamp and heater and window. Really liked the breakfast. Impressed BW actually had a server to give the eggs and toppings. Had not seen that before. An impressive array of breakfast options. Bummer we had to make the oatmeal ourselves but again the toppings were WOW!... Parking was a little odd. And the hotel is located behind a small shopping plaza. Almost tricky to see the BW behind that building. Trying to cram in too many bldgs around town. Anyway a good place at BW.

We had a small dog. And we were in the dog area. The large dogs were barking so much and setting off a ripple of barking. People were constantly going in and out of doors late at night. It felt like people came and left like drug deals. People were in and out all night. We got no sleep. We were told we would have LVP floors which is better for dogs. There were pee stains from previous dogs on the rug. It was disappointing.

The room and bathroom were clean; the bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure and hot water. A coffee maker in the room would have been nice since the continental breakfast was in another building.

This place is fabulous! A real hidden jewel. We are traveling with our dog, they are the only place I’ve ever seen that had a dog friendly room right there on the website. Also, the pet fee was very reasonable. The staff were awesome. We woke up to find the maintenance person had very kindly cleared all of the snow off of our car! Truly above and beyond. We will be adding this hotel to our list of places to stay when we are traveling up/down 95.

The maintenance staff produces noise after-hours. On the top of that some of the guests are loud at night. Also, the proximity to the main road also creates a noisy atmosphere. Hard to get asleep at night. Not recommended.

Checked in about 9:00 pm last night. The receptionist checking me in was pretty gruff and seemed to be in a bad mood. He asked for my credit card for “incidentals”? Not a great way to begin my stay. There was mold all over the shower, the floor in the bathroom had not been swept well and an overall dinginess to the room. I felt a bit nervous about the door lock-it did not seem like it would keep anyone from barging into the room if they chose to. You can hear the traffic from the street and anyone walking along the corridor. The only saving grace was the lovely lady in the breakfast area who is very kind and lovely. She is so welcoming and really seems to know the hotel clients. Other than that I’m not going to stay at this Best Western again.

We checked into a pet friendly room because it did not have carpet. At check-in the person stated it would be clean even though it was pet friendly. The floors had hair (human and pet hairs) all over it. When we checked out the next morning, I told the person that checked me out that I had a complaint. I explained about the hair. His comment was, WHAT DID YOU EXPECT, IT WAS A PET FRIENDLY ROOM. I told him I still expected it to be clean because I paid the same price for it as non-pet friendly room. Plus, I expect any hotel/motel room I rent to be clean. He just walked away. I feel that since I did not get what I paid for I should be entitled to a partial refund.

The breakfast was good. The room was adequate. Our TV worked half the time, sometimes it wouldn't even turn on, other times it was on with no picture but sound. Other times it worked fine.

The friendliness of the staff couldn’t make up for the dilapidated nature of the motel, and to be sure, it is a motel. Walking barefoot in the room is more risky than playing with a rusty nail. If you’re looking for something more up to date and quiet, look elsewhere.

Room was missing an ironing board. I walked up to the front desk to let them know I needed one. They told me they’ll bring one. That was before 7pm. It’s 9:00 am next day now. Still no ironing board. All in all, this is one place I would not recommend to anyone. PS: I called the front desk again and they brought the ironing board finally.

I got a good night of sleep however the mattress was right on the edge of needing replaced. The shower had good water pressure but it started warm and no matter how much and which way you turned the handles the temperature never changed, If you need a quick in-and-out night of sleep I would recommend this place. If you are looking for a long or extended stay, I'd say you're better off looking elsewhere

The room was very clean & property well kept. Close to venue I needed to be at the next day & price was good too. Staff were very respectful & kind.

Called the front desk and they put me on another room. Which was good So be careful. Unless you are willing to go Antman.

This motel is older but not bad. The room wasn’t very clean. There were still juice box wrappers on the floor (3 of them) the inside of the sink was dirty and there was among hair on one of the towels. My husband hates the exterior lights because they were really bright. But it was nice that they had a pool and the property was pleasant. My husband liked the bed a lot too. It was rated 8.6 and I would personally have gone a little lower, like 7.8-8.

The room was a bit dated but clean and good enough. The pool looked lovely but it was too cold to swim 😅 Breakfast was ok but everything was on the Luke warm to cold side. Also we c didn’t need it but they’re pet friendly which is great.

Really nice stay at this Best Western. Renovated clean room with comfortable bed and pillows. The breakfast was outstanding and a step above what is now standard hotel fare. Among other things, fresh fruit was available including mangos, blueberries and strawberries and there was actually a person available to assist with the hot choices. Nice not to get eggs contaminated with other things. Well done!!

The mattresses where really dirty looked like they had bugs in them it was gross! I had to change rooms 3 times carpets were to that clean. I looked behind the headboard between the baseboard was pretty gross the was so much dirt. Will not stay there again

This BW definitely has the vibe and cleanliness of a motel, which would be fine if the pricing matched lower motel rates. Lack of cleanliness is always an issue for me, and while it was not filthy, there were pockets of dirtiness on various items. Good “motel” for a quick stay, but would recommend other properties.

This is an older hotel. However, it is extremely well maintained. Rooms are clean, bed comfortable. Check-in was a breeze. When in this area again, we will definitely stay here.

Perfect stay for an emergency overnight in Fredericksburg. Beds were comfortable, room was clean. Over hotel, but very friendly staff, good breakfast.

We were told there was no hot water as we were checking in. They offered a refund, but it was 8 PM and there was nowhere else to check in. When we got to the room, the bedskirt was ripped and the toilet wasn’t working. All in all this was an awful hotel, and very poor customer service!

Cons: Room was near the pool. Very loud. Asked to change but only available rooms were near the pool. Pool closes at 10pm. It did quiet down shortly thereafter. The rooms are motel style. Entry from out side. Hot part of Breakfast is not serve yourself. The server asked for patience as she was called in. Pancakes were clearly there but server was overwhelmed. No seats to be had as everyone was waiting on the hot portion of Breakfast. We were on a time constraint so theres a Dunkin out front. Opted for Dunkin. So much for picking a hotel with a Breakfast option.

The room itself was decently clean, although the floors were dirty and the bottoms of our feet ended up black without shoes on, but I think that's pretty standard in a budget hotel :) It was quiet, and we felt safe in the area. The free breakfast was great - beyond expectations. There were 5-6 types of fresh fruit cut up and in separate huge containers. Cereal, quick toast/bagel options, coffee and juice. There was also a station where a staff member would scoop you hot foods including scrambled eggs, sausage, and a pancake. There was a tip jar on the table. This was the only odd part, as usually it's self-serve, and when the employee needed to step away for a break (which was well-deserved!) you could not get to the hot foods. Overall, pleasant experience. We would definitely stay here again.

A great little budget-friendly find! The free breakfast has lots of options and good hot, freshly prepared food. The pool is beautifully landscaped and tucked into a nice private corner of the property. The rooms are spacious and the new LVP makes it feel very clean and hygienic. My three kids (20, 18, 16) and I had a surprisingly great stay for a surprisingly good price.

It is a roadside motel. Very close to the highway, clean and save, with good breakfast.

I wouldnhave gave 5 stars across the board but when we went for breakfast at 730 which was suppose to start at 7 we were told it wouldnt be ready for 20 more minutes and we had to leave so we missed out on that and that was one of the reasons that we stayed here again.

What you’d expect of a two star hotel - no more and no less. Acceptable for an overnight, but certainly wouldn’t vacation there

I had a problem. My recumbent trike was too big for the room. They allowed me to secure it under a sheltered stairway. This protected it thru several hard rain storms.

Limited Hot Breakfast items only “served” by pleasant uncomplaining Woman who also replenishes cold food, beverages and paper goods items. Too much for one person

This is a great Hotel, in my opinion. It's an older place, but the owners and staff keep it up very well. Always clean rooms and fresh linen, along with great service from the staff. It's very close to dining and entertainment, with many places in walking distance. My favorite things here are the always flowing free coffe, hot breakfast, and free guest laundry.
