Location on the beach

Had everything we need! Front desk staff always helped with any questions. Right on the beach !! Would come back! It is a Club resort property so expect a “sales pitch” to get you to sign up for a 90 min tour… but, other then that, I would book here again for sure!

Overall, this was a great place to stay. Location was great. Staff was helpful and room was clean. The only issue I would say is the noise between rooms. We could hear lots of noise from our neighbors. It wasn’t yelling or talking so much as it was it seemed them just moving about their room.

Very nice hotel!! Right on the beach! Beautiful pool area too and the staff was so nice. The rooms are spacious and the balcony was so nice. They had goodies to buy at the front desk too just in case you forgot anything. We will absolutely be back!!

Anyway, the room as clean and the hotel in general is in really good shape the location is nice is you want to relax. I’m coming back on August but I booked a bigger room this time 😊

The staff was also very rude from the moment we checked in. I clearly stated that I was not interested in a timeshare presentation and simply wanted to get my room keys so I could continue with my day. However, I was not allowed to proceed until speaking with another representative. I politely explained multiple times that I was not interested, but she continued her sales pitch. When I firmly stated that I was not going to change my mind, she responded with an attitude and asked, “Why not?” After that, her demeanor became just as rude as the employee who initially took our payment. Overall, the only positive thing this property has to offer is its beach access. Between the mosquito infestation, lack of cleanliness, and unprofessional staff, I would not recommend staying here.

What I liked most was most was the size of the room, cleanliness and the super professional staff.

Appreciate the manager making things right after a rocky Check in. The cleaning like on the ceiling fans could be better to remove dust and debris but it’s quiet and nice facility.

Very nice pool area and hot tub. Quiet and ample parking. Staff reached out to check in on us throughout our stay and made us feel like valued customers.

Everything was great except for the elevator. Really concerning. It stays open for a very short period of time. It will allow the people to come off the elevator, but it starts closing before you can walk in. Even if you try to keep the door from closing it will not stop. The concern was brought up to the front desk and they didn’t seem surprised or concerned.

The room felt like a home away from home—fully equipped kitchenette with stove, dishwasher, fridge, and all utensils. The beachfront view, swimming pool, and hot tub made it a perfect vacation spot. A special thanks to Beth at the front office. She helped arrange a small anniversary surprise with roses in our room, and it was done perfectly. That thoughtful gesture made our stay even more special. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!

What I liked is that it was really close to the beach and the beach access was easy to use. I didn’t like the elevators they are super slow and also I had to basically beg for the room that I paid for which was embarrassing. But thanks to Beth (she made it possible) to get a better room than facing the parking :) I also didn’t like that the same people where in the hot tub sunup to sun down and never gave anyone else a chance to enjoy it. There should be a time limit.

Everrything was in good shape, staff was friendly, good relaxing location.

Parking was good. No charge. A/c ran great. Sink was stopped up but maintenance came but they also left the hair they got out on shower door. They will try & convince you to take a 90 minute tour to be a part of their vacation resort

The location The confusion about the rooms locations the signage was very confusing. You would see a room number outside the door but unaware that there are two units behind the one door

Location The pushy man at the desk trying to get us to listen to a sales pitch, the outdated tv, the sheets that didn’t fit, and basically the outdated facility. They can’t even get my name right….all correspondence came in with extremely misspelled first name and wrong last name!

The view is beautiful. The room was perfect with plenty of space and a large balcony. There are only 2 elevators at the front of the property. Only stair access where the villas are, we definitely got our steps in! 😩 Amazing location with a semi private beach, loved it!

Best hotel around that’s actually on the beach

The elevator was broken in the west tower which made it difficult for my husband with a bad knee to walk further

Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool and the kids play area.

Sat poolside for several hours & just relaxed. We’ve stayed here several times & have never had any problems. Enjoyed our stay!!!

The room was very clean and smelt clean. Great and nice staff. Cold pool but amazing hot tub. Awesome air conditioning. Just wish there was a door stopper for the balcony door.

Beach, proximity to event and city. The fresh paint and restoration of the property. Although we did not used the pool; it looked great. Only issue was one of the RFID key cards kept losing it's connection.

The one bedroom villa was perfect for a family of three, including one teenage child. Great views of the pool and beach, clean, and cold AC. Great amenities and activities. Would definitely stay here again.

The villa room has two sliding doors to a large balcony.

Pool was down for maintenance so didnt get to use it which was a bummmer. Rooms could use some updating and some handles were broken on some doors still loked to property and will stay agian indeed!

Clean room

40 minute wait to check in and resort fees added to reservation amount which made room rate much more than we thought. Elevator broken so had to go to other end of property to access rooms. Had we been able to cancel and go stay somewhere else, we would’ve. AND checkout times 10 am!! Won’t stay here again.

Friendly staff

Everything was very nice this stay. Great room with view. I was pleased to see some renovations going on.

Toilet not initially working, but cal to service and was fixed same day. Washing machine didnt work but call to servce and was replaced. Very weak water pressure. Very difficult to open doors. Very noisy air heater. East tower elevator out of order.

Room was good. The staff was great! I was very frustrated that at no time when reserving this hotel that i would be required to attend a 90 minute (actually took 2+ hours) presentation on purchasing a timeshare with Holiday Inn.

Amenities

That said, the location is roughly 25 minutes from downtown Galveston, with limited nearby restaurants or shopping options. The room did not match the photos advertised online and felt very dated. The bathroom was small and not connected to the master bedroom, which was inconvenient. During our stay, only one elevator was operational, and water pressure was quite low. We were also surprised to learn the property was a timeshare, as this was not clear at the time of booking. Even factoring in the cash incentive, the room price did not feel justified for the condition and amenities. Unfortunately, we would not choose to stay here again.

The housekeeping manager was so friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed in four different rooms with different floor plans and this was the tiniest room. We were on the fifth floor next to the elevator that was broken. But loved the heated pool and hot tub. Location is convenient being right on the beach. Overall a great hotel but I said several times I did not want to purchase a villa and was continuously called four times in about four hours. I did not have time for a three hour presentation and I had to keep repeating myself. A little frustrating.

The staff was very friendly, but the tub was molded and unable to be used.

The room and view was fantastic. Very clean and nice staff. My only problem is that the booking said breakfast was included and is was not.

Furniture is old and bed lumpy! I think I booked on the wrong Holiday Inn. Wanting more of hotel atmosphere with bar in location! The near by bar was closed ! We stayed one night.

The staff is wonderful. So very courteous and helpful. The rooms are clean and well stocked.

Property needs updating. Pictures online are deceiving. Would not consider this a 'resort' at all. Front desk attendees could present themselves a little better in appearance and greeting.

Staff was amazing! Very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice size and kitchen had everything. Not so great…Furniture was a little mismatched. There was a dining table but the the chairs were so low that the table came up way over your chest. Also, the toilets were super small and very low to the ground. Nothing to grab onto to help pull you up. Balcony was huge, however across the way there was a bar/restaurant that had some the brightest lights. Hard to sit out on the balcony and just enjoy the beach when those lights are blinding you. The big pluses were the swimming pool and hot tub. Super excited to find the pool was heated!!! Overall, visit was good!

Beach access is the reason I chose this property and it didn't disappoint. It's quiet and away from the crowd, exactly what I wanted.

Small balcony good for one person and veiw was bad from the side of the hotel.

Negative: Uncomfortable bed. Cramped balcony. No dining available onsite. One restaurant next door with bar food. No dining suggestions available from concierge. Housekeeping knocks on doors at odd hours. No “Do not disturb” signs available.

Great room! We loved having a full kitchen and easy access to both the beach and pool. We are already looking to book again next year!

Our stay was excellent; we had a broken carafe lid, but they sent up a replacement right away, so good service!

The property was okay but not great. The room was clean but there was not a view from the balcony. What was annoying was that when you check in, they force you from the check in desk to the “vacation” desk to get your keys. There they try to get you to agree to sit through a talk about the Holiday Inn Club to get dinner or free nights. You may be okay with this, but I just wanted a couple of nights on the beach and did not want the hassle just to get the room key. Will probably avoid Holiday Inn Clubs in the future. Lots of choices out there.

Couldn’t see the beach from the room we got. Have had better views before. The property needs renovation but still ok for quick trips.

Loved that the beach bar, Tipsy Turtle, was just steps away. Nice, outside venue with drinks and food available.

Great place to stay with your family

It started with the registration staff that was professional and friendly. Then the maintenance staff fixed a problem with the kitchen sink. They were johnny on the spot, fixed it, and were very personable. Several times the staff checked on how our stay was going. That was a nice touch!

The place is nice, but I just didn’t like how they tried to trick us into attending a time share meeting. When we checked in, they asked us if we are related to the owners of the hotel because there’s a note saying we are entitled to a lot of perks. They went on and on about these perks, and the clincher was we had to go to a venue 8 miles away and attend a sales pitch meeting. Yes, all these happened during our check-in when all you wanted to do was get to your room and rest up

Very good and convenient hotel club

Overall this was a very good experience. Hotel was clean and the maintenance staff was also working hard. All the staff was helpful and friendly. For an older property I would say they have maintained it well, especially with the challenges of being right on the beach. We went on an off-peak period so the resort was not crowded and everyone we encountered was friendly older couples mostly during this time. We will be going back soon.

Everything was great except for the intermittent noise in the apartment.

Love that it was on the beach, literally. Check in was long and drawn out. Hotel was good, plenty of towels and convenient washer and dryer for room. Pool was good, walkways were good, not easy for wheelchairs and electric scooters. One elevator and heavy doors.

Didn’t get the breakfast, made ours in our kitchen. It was clean very comfortable. Had extra towels and toilet paper. To have the chairs and umbrellas included, we rented them which the guy was very good and the rate was not crazy expensive.

This place will also try and get you to do a time share meeting when you check in and when you say no, they get upset and continue to push until you say yes. Then charge you a fee if you don't go to the time share meeting.

This is our 3rd stay here and I won’t stay anywhere else. I love this property. The staff is fantastic, the rooms are clean, it’s right on the beach, and we can walk to the tipsy turtle!

It was my husband and I first time on the property for a lil weekday getaway for a few days. It was above and beyond my expectations! I will definitely stay here again!

So the location is good if you would like a less touristy spot. You do NOT have to walk across a street to get to the beach as it has direct beach access. The rooms were fine I guess altho2 were e4 ugh we had to move rooms because of some noise in the rooms overnight causing us not to be sble to sleep. Rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful in relocating us to a better room. Probably the biggest drawback is if you are a light sleeper this place is very noisy with the plumbing and hvac systems. I stared at the ceiling the first night because something was turning on and off and it wasnt the air conditoning...we never could figure it out,same in the next room we had but not as loud. Overall its a few minutes drive from the busy side of galveston and the beach was great with minimal people.

It was very inconvenient to not have an elevator out of commission. Our room keys had to be serviced every day, this was inconvenient.

The place was OK at best. Maybe my expectations were to high. I feel the word "Resort" is use to loosely. Definitely, felt like being in a regular Holiday Inn. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely the saving grace of this place.

They need to fix the second elevator. Getting up and down with your luggage was a disaster.

Our apartment was vey clean. It was stocked with everything we needed. It. Was cool and comfortable . The bedding was soft and clean. I have no complaints.

This location is far from the busy part of the island. Instead of walking across a street, you can walk straight to the beach. There is a Walmart located on the island for groceries. I was surprised that most necessities were available in the villa. It is a home away from home.

Very romantic place. Nice view. Me and my husband love to walk around the beach and sit at the bbq table at the park, very peaceful. Love the place we will definitely be back, and will recommend more friends and family ❤️

Great location just a short walk to the beach and to the Tipsy Turtle next door. Pool and Hottub great and cleaned daily. Only thing is that the pool area doesn't open until 10am. Only one elevator working. NONE of the housekeeping staff speaks English and is pretty rude.

Room was not cleaned for 4 days

The access to the beach was unprecedented compared to most other properties. The rooms were spacious and had excellent views. Rooms overlooking the pool area may be subject to party noise.

This was my absolute favorite place that I have stayed in in Galveston the beach access was private so it wasn't crowded even though it was Jeep weekend. Everything about the hotel and the stay was excellent I would have given it five stars across the board but there was some sand grit on the floor, not a lot but enough for me to be grossed out being Barefoot but I'm also very particular. The major thing however is that there's no rooms with two beds, and the sofa bed was not fit for an adult, and honestly not even fit for a child. It was slanted so badly and so lumpy and so short that an adult could not lay on it and I'm only 5'3". Also, I don't know if the bed was broken or what the deal was, we even used couch cushions underneath the foot of it to try to make it level and it still did not help. We will definitely be staying here again but I will be bringing an air mattress instead of using the sofa bed because it was absolutely horrendous. However everything else about the hotel was five stars. Which is why we will be going back and it's worth it bringing an air mattress.

The hotel was amazing. But the best part of our stay was that the staff made us feel like family. We have found our home away from home, when we vacation in Galveston Tx. Thank you for the amazing experience.

It was so close to the beach it was great!

Beach front . Staff looking to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Had a issue with the bath tub. They came to address the situation in less than 10 minutes. Worked over an hour to resolve the problem at 10:30 pm. Were unable to reslove that night, but worked with our schedule the next day to repair as soon as possible. Problem was resolved by 9:00 am . In my opinion you cant ask for more than that. Awesome customer service. Thanks to everyone from reception to maintenance for making our stay at the beach awesome!

Excellent property with great customer service. We arrived late and security was very accommodating at helping us get checked in. The rooms are big and perfect for a family. The property is located perfectly between town and Jamaica Beach making it easy to travel. Easy parking. Perfect vacation get away.

I was so pleasantly surprised about this property! I think of Holiday Inn as a lower budget hotel, but this property is amazing. The staff were so friendly, and check in was a breeze. Our room was so nice, and the hotel is right on the beach so you can walk right out to it. Beautiful pool. It's a bit far down from the downtown Galveston area, but that's only about a 10 minute drive. Highly recommend.

We took our kids for a day trip to the beach and this room was perfect. Plenty of space and all of the staff were friendly and accommodating. We would definitely come back. Easy access to the beach as well.

The staff here was so kind and helpful, and the hotel itself was very nice. The pool/beach area was fantastic! We were only here for a night, but will definitely keep it in mind for future visits.

The living room patio door did not securely lock. The shower door did not close correctly.

Excellent location on beach

Our villa was wonderful. Being able to walk right onto the beach in Galveston is a huge plus. Being away from the busy areas was so appreciated.

We loved the beach view, comfortable bed and sofa and the kitchen. I would’ve like a lounger on the balcony rather than a straight back chair and the elevator was a little slow, other use we were happy with our stay.

Clean, Friendly staff, good location.

Location is good. The hotel is right on the beach. There are no restaurants on site. The suites are well distributed and well equipped . Some have a nice view. The building is run down. Parking is good and service is good. There is too much noise in the morning from the cleaning people. They run the washing machines very early in the morning. Those machines make a lot of noise. All in all is not a bad place to stay but too expensive for the quality. However there is not much more around to choose from. The only alternative is to rent a house right on the beach.

We had a great experience while at this property. Close to the beach and an easy drive into town.

Place is a little dated but well maintained and it’s on the beach. You don’t have to cross the seawall to get to the beach which is great for kids. There is no restaurant there is no bar there. It is closed it’s next-door. You have to go up the road, so bring what you wanna drink and bring what you wanna eat and just settle in and enjoy

Over all, it was a great place to stay.

It was nice and relaxing. And right on the beach. The only downfall I can say is on the 1st floor, at night the bright pool lights are on all night and they shine through one window, which only has blinds. If that window had a pull down shade or blackout curtains, it would have been nice and dark and it would be a 5 star stay!

The location to the beach was great. The pool area was nice. The kitchenette was adequate, however the 2 rooms (living and bedroom) were quite cramped. The mattress was awful. There were several loud neighbors, but that was expected, given that it’s a family friendly place.

Location location location! What this hotel lacked in newness, cleanliness, and updates it provides with its beach location. We loved having the beach just a short walk to the rear. The unit itself was a little dated. We also could have used some more clarity around policies and whether we needed to clean like an BNB. We enjoyed ourselves though. Our time was wonderful and we got the relaxation we so needed. So definitely a win.

Great beachfront property which is hard to find close to Galveston. Has a great pool, an indoor game area for rainy days or just to cool off for a bit!

Loud noise coming and going for every 5 min at night and all morning could not sleep not sure if it was elevator or pump System it was very loud

The hotel's location is great if you're someone who enjoys being right on the beach, but keep in mind that it's quite far from other attractions and restaurants. If you're planning to explore the city, it might not be the most convenient choice. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I would consider other options for more central locations next time.

Great stay. The beach location is prime. Perfect hotel for families with comfortable rooms and furniture and lots of amenities.

We love this place every time we stay! This trip was for my daughter’s 16th birthday and the hotel staff brought yo a box filled with sweets and a birthday card! It was so sweet! Great staff!!
